Review #1,577: Ralph Geeba "Versatility"

Reviewed on 10.24.2016 (Review #1,577)

Here’s a suggested CD that my boy, B-Don, told me to check out: Ralph Geeba Versatility, which was released last year on Lingo La’Familia & was produced by DJ_44. It’s only 35 minutes long, so lemme see what we workin’ with, here… Start Time: 10:21 PM | End Time: 10:58 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. “Intro”
>>> I’ono, but off those first few seconds of rappin’, I’m like thinkin’, next Kevin Gates from tha undaground? I’ono, but I had a real great feelin’ off tha beginning, here… As far as how this sounds, it sounds interesting and decent… Definitely diggin’ tha flow and tha beat not too bad… With that bein’ said, interesting 1st verse and tha hook goes, too… Seems like some sick rhymes on tha 2nd verse, here; fast, consistent and a lot ta deliver! My Rating: 4.4

02. “True Story”
>>> Sounds nice with this beat and, once again, I’m gettin’ a great throwback feelin’ of tha Kevin Gates from tha undaground while hearin’ this 1st verse! Gangsta shit at its finest! When I seen tha front cover, I was thinkin’ this was some1 who ain’t have original production or just rapped random shit. However, this quality shit! Only one verse, here? Definitely nice! Feelin’ tha acapella shit toward tha end! My Rating: 4.3

03. “Geeba Fire”
I have ta say, I like that you have “Geeb” in your name! Like, that’s what I hit when I get supa high! Tha “geeb,” a.k.a. tha gravity bong!! >>> I’m definitely diggin’ this production, includin’ tha intro! Kinda sound funny on tha hook wit tha voice, but I can get through this, surprisingly, fa a newbie! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and I’m definitely feelin’ all tha rhymes you bringin’, here! Flow’s definitely tight and you got this rap shit on lock! Street quality at its finest! Tha 2nd verse’s undeniable, too! Just luv how you consistently drop all these rhymes with different flows! My Rating: 4.2

04. “Geeba Spit”
>>> Beat’s nice, here, and you holdin’ this shit down, with only one verse! Luv how consistent you are around tha 1:06 mark with err-body/err-thang “rollin’ up!” My Rating: 4.2

05. “Freestyle 1”
>>> Not a DJ_44 beat? You say, “Lil’ Ken?” If so, surprising for a freestyle! I don’t recognize tha beat, so this prolly original fa me… Hearin’ tha verse and it sounds like you’re amped up; definitely feelin’ it! Luv tha part at :52 with tha hot, “Spit it and hit it and lick it…,” or whateva; you know what you’re doin’!! I like how you say, “Bitch, I buy racks; I’ont buy shoes;” dope! My Rating: 4.0

½time: Definitely nice; a 4.2-rated CD, so far! I wouldn’t’ve expected this ta be so tight fa an unknown artist! Luvin’ your flow, lyrics, rhymes & production; perfect combination, where others fail on one of ‘em!

06. “No Mind” (Peezy feat. Ralph Geeba & Joka)
>>> Diggin’ this production and tha hook’s nice! Quality Baton Rouge music at its finest! Gotta luv my undaground!! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ nice! Tha 2nd verse ain’t too bad; gotta not have a “mind!” This joint makes me anticipated ta try these CBD edibles I bought tha other day. I heard they don’t get you high but they help with anxiety, which I have bad with my job? A body high? I’ono, but I gon find out 2morrow! We’ll see where my “mind” at, lol! Hearin’ tha 3rd verse and it sounds much calmer than tha previous verses… Ehh, I’ono, nothin’ special, but it’s not bad… It sometimes sounds a lil’ off-beat, too… My Rating: 4.2

07. “Runnin’ Jumpin’ Fences” feat. Peezy
Lookin’ at this title, I’m anticipatin’ this! >>> Sounds like a true, Baton Rouge-soundin’ gangsta anthem, here! Can’t wait ta hear! You sound kinda quiet on tha vocals, here, but tha hook’s pretty nice! Gotta luv “jumpin’” dem “fences!” I was just in an abandoned city, earlier today…
Shit was nice! Diggin’ how you chantin’ err-body ta “jigg” on tha 1st verse; dope shit! You got this shit on-n-poppin’! Hope you continue ta bring tha heat wit this rap shit at all times! Tha 2nd verse sounds like a feature, almost, but I guess it’s you… “Peezy”? Iz it him again? Ehh, I’ll put him on it! Shit sounds nice! And, a lil’ talkin’ toward tha end; nice… My Rating: 4.3

08. “Want Me Dead”
>>> Definitely diggin’ tha true Baton Rouge-soundin’ beat, here! Shit sounds nice ta hear! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and tha Baton Rouge beat’s distortin’ in tha beginning, while you’re deliverin’ some nice rhymes… Diggin’ tha line, “Many missiles…,” around tha 1:00 mark; dumb shit! Tha hook sounds decent; flows nicely with tha track… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it starts with, “Bitch, I’ll flush you, like a toilet;” oh, I know this gon continue ta be good!! Rhymes are undeniable!! “Bars, tabs & watsons!!” Watson bein’ tha best ta name, especially since it’s tha last name of one of my favorite dudes, Doe-Doe! Excellent verse; can’t deny what you bringin’!! My Rating: 4.4

09. “Freestyle 2”
>>> Beat sounds nice with this Baton Rouge-soundin’ style! Tha rhymin’ iz undeniable!! Consistent, constant rhymin’ at its finest!! Wish I would’ve known about this last year! I prolly would’ve added one of these tracks to my playlist! It’s all good ‘cause at least I’m gettin’ ta hear it! I’m not tha biggest fan of makin’ a freestyle my top-rated song on tha CD, but, statistically, that’s what it might be! My Rating: 4.5

10. “Right Now”
>>> Beat’s off to a slow start; let’s see how your rhymes gon turn out ta be… Distorted beat during tha beginning wit some rap-singin’? Hook’s ehh; I hope tha rhymes are good… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s decent… I kinda wanna hear tha throwback Gates flow… Not too much interest comin’ outta tha 1st verse fa me, here… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s betta, even tho I ain’t fuckin’ wit some of these lyrics… Why does your producer have ta have random beat tag sentences throughout your tracks? Once iz enough—well, zero times iz tha best! Oh, God, it even was distorted at tha very end, too! My Rating: 3.4

11. “Weed”
>>> Slow sound, here, with a nice lil’ high hook, just repeatin’, “Weed,” lol… Tha 1st verse ain’t too bad with what you spittin’, here… I’m surprised that I like tha hook tha best, as it just repeats, “Weed,” while singin’, lol. Tha 2nd verse soundin’ pretty nice, here, as far as what “weed” does to you. Well, “weed” fa me helps with my lack of socializing from my Asperger’s Syndrome of autism. Also, I embrace things more! Imagine if I would’ve reviewed this while high? And, a distorted beat, at times, ta end this off… My Rating: 3.9

Overall: This CD caught me by surprise with how interesting it was… I mainly felt your consistent rhymes but I dug how you reminded me of when Kevin Gates started and how he sounded. Great job wit how you viciously delivered some of this shit and your producer, DJ_44, provided some excellent production! Hope you continue ta have a following and do it big! Big in tha undaground, that iz! Can’t have you sell out and be a sellout like Gates iz! There’s no excitement when people don’t answer you, no more! ………………………………Mista Cain, Kevin Gates, perfect examples! Pointless, now, so when I review their shit, it really just goes in one ear and out tha other. It’ll be good music but I won’t make it important like y’all!

Review #1,576: Sims On Tha Track "Road To V2"

Reviewed on 10.24.2016 (Review #1,576)

Got anotha review, here, as I’m goin’ through my current CDs ta review… Sims On Tha Track Road To V2’s up next… Finally, a release from Sims, as I’ve been waitin’ at least seven years, now! I’ve seen CD covers, but neva have I got my hands on anythang till now! Iz he still wit New Go Get It Music? Not sure, but I’m lookin’ forward ta seein’ what he gon bring to tha table! Start Time: 10:30 AM | End Time: 11:25 AM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! © 2016 CD Review (Review #1,576) reviewed on 10.24.2016 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. “Up”
>>> Sounds like a good club vibe but I can’t really tolerate tha auto-tuned vocals… Not likin’ how tha hook sounds like Travi$ Scott, at times… My Rating: 3.5

02. “Space”
>>> Ugh! Here comes your auto-tuned tags… Still, kinda lookin’ forward ta seein’ what gon come outta this beat… It straight, but I still don’t like tha auto-tune! Tha hook kinda sound all over tha place, at times; random lyrics? Not too crazy about this, after I thought I was gon be… My Rating: 3.2

03. “I’m Zoning”
>>> A normal voice, here; let’s see… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s ehh with these lyrics, tho; lots of “Tupac” references? Tha 2nd verse sounds kinda random, but it ain’t too bad, here… My Rating: 3.4

04. “0 To A Hunnin’”
>>> Tha flow’s catchy, here, with tha beat soundin’ betta than usual, at times… Tha 1st verse ain’t too bad wit this normal voice, at times… However, tha 2nd verse? Not diggin’ this wit this auto-tune, again, as well as these random rhymes… Tha hook random with tha Drake title/saying. It’s sad how all these producers that rap and shit lost all their interest in their sound and are makin’ this mainstream-soundin’ bullshit… My Rating: 3.1

05. “Up Dere”
>>> Dependin’ on how I feel about tha beat, it can vary. I do like that it’s kinda dreamy and semi-trippy? You sound aight on tha 1st verse, here, as you followed tha nice-soundin’ hook… Tha rest of this sounds kinda random, but surprisingly, this tha best one, so far… My Rating: 3.7

06. “Dumb”
>>> Beat sounds kinda plain; where’s tha real “dumb” vibe? Baton Rouge-soundin’ organs? Aight, I hear somethin’ at :27, but it still sounds a lil’ plain in tha beat… Hearin’ how you comin’ through on tha 1st verse and, again, nothin’ special goin’ on wit what you’re spittin’… And, tha 2nd verse random fa me, too. My Rating: 3.6

07. “NTN You Can Do About It” feat. Big Blaze
Wow, we got a feature, this time! >>> Beat’s kinda slow but I’m not feelin’ how you comin’ through on tha 1st verse with these vocals! Finally, when tha lyrics are somewhat betta, you fuck it up with tha vocals! And, we have some life on this CD, here, wit Big Blaze on tha 2nd verse! Feelin’ how he comin’ through wit a normal voice and some great rhymes ta top it off! Feelin’ tha consistency of how they’re delivered! Slow vibe pays off now that Blaze a part of this! My Rating: 3.8

08. “So Far I Am”
>>> Beat ain’t too bad, here, and even tho your voice fucked up, it ain’t too bad on tha 1st verse, sometimes. I mean, once I get to tha 2nd verse, I prolly won’t like this, anymore… Tha hook kinda distorted and random, here… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse, now, and yeah, what tha hell am I doin’ enjoyin’ this like it’s nothin’? Randomness, randomness, randomness…! My Rating: 3.0

09. “Hottest In Louisiana” feat. Tim Thugga
Anotha feature, here! >>> This sounds betta than most of tha tracks on here, as far as tha production and what you got goin’ on wit tha 1st verse, gay voice or not! Thugga on tha 2nd verse, here, and even tho I don’t agree wit his ways, at times, I have ta say, it’ll take him ta bring life inta this. I dig how he shines on tha track and does his thang; nice! My Rating: 3.8

10. “Faded”
>>> Diggin’ tha distorted music in tha beginning, here, as it sounds like somethin’ I’d like… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ nice ta hear on this! I think I’ll finally really like a song on here! Yeah, tha hook sounds pretty nice, here, feelin’ “faded;” good shit! See! No need fa a gay-soundin’ voice effect! Tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ nice, too… My Rating: 4.2

11. “Diamonds Baby” feat. Young Ujwal
I’ono this featured artist, so let’s see what we got here… >>> Back to tha gay-soundin’ voice on tha hook/1st verse, smh… Beat ain’t too bad, tho, but that ain’t tha point! I thought after your gay-soundin’ voice on this track that tha featured dude was gon be wack. However, it ain’t too bad, here. He kinda has a Boosie flow? Rhymes are ehh, tho… My Rating: 3.3

½time: Really not feelin’ tha gay auto-tune throughout most of tha tracks, Sims! Wish you’d know betta than that, especially that you’re three years older than me, too! For now, just decent/below-average ratings that contribute to a 3.5-rated CD, currently.

12. “Is This (Pt. 1)”
>>> Not feelin’ this; dry beat and you sound gayer than eva wit tha voice effect/lyrics!! My Rating: 1.5

13. “Sauce”
>>> How come I don’t got “Vol. 1,” Sims? Ugh, more bullshit, especially around :42, when you sound like Travi$ Scott, again, wit tha louder auto-tune! Ugh!! My Rating: 1.1

14. “Thuggin’” feat. Gutta Gangsta
>>> This sounds betta on tha intro/hook, here! Tha beat on a gangsta Rouge tip; nice hook from this Gutta Gangsta! And, here you are on tha 1st verse, comin’ through, ridin’ Travi$’ dick, once again, smfh!! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse from Gutta Gangsta and it’s soundin’ decent… Feelin’ his gangsta wayz; good shit! My Rating: 3.6

15. “Baby (Room For Imp)”
This review’s makin’ me wanna go ta sleep; tryna hang in there… >>> A normal voice, here, at least, with a nice lil’ beat… Tha hook ain’t too bad, as you want your “baby.” Hearin’ tha 1st verse and your voice fuckin’ up, again, but it still a decent track… Yeah, fuck these verses! My Rating: 2.7

16. “Party”
>>> I like tha “party” topic on tha hook but I can’t really feel it that much wit tha way this CD goin’. It’s like, I want my “Daiquiri Shop” back!! Lol! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s nice fa this vibe, at least; can’t complain… Lots of voices and voice effects, here, fa one person… Tha 2nd verse random, but like I said, it don’t make me get up and “party.” Tha beat too calm and more on a gangsta tip… My Rating: 3.8

17. “Shooting Stars”
>>> F-F-F-Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck Travi$ Scott!!! I wanna go ta sleep; fuck this! *Skips* My Rating: 1.0

18. “How Yu Wan Do It”
>>> Beat sounds decent but I can barely hear you… Can’t really say anythang about this, since it’s so random… My Rating: 1.4

19. “Overtime”
SMH @ this title!! I’m trapped in it!! >>> Beat sounds cool but fuck these vocals, once again! Again, it’s not that easy ta hear you on this… I really have no interest left in this review…! My Rating: 1.1

20. “Zombie”
>>> Enough wit tha stupid voice!! Stupid “paid”, “money”-type lyrics!! Sick of err-body on tha same shit!! My Rating: 1.2

21. “Turn Around”
>>> Why this have ta sound like tha mainstream trap-rap producers with that sound in tha beginning, smh? I can’t dig this that much… My Rating: 1.3

22. “Flooded”
>>> Beat sounds great, but I’m skippin’ it ‘cause it sounds like Travi$ Scott in tha beginning! *Skips* My Rating: 1.0

23. “Fly Life”
>>> Endin’ it wit a slow vibe, here… Not really feelin’ it with this Travi$ sound… My Rating: 1.1

Overall: You really need ta drop tha auto-tune! Like, that was so ’07, ’08! It’s a fuckin’ decade later, almost!! You need ta let your true voice shine on tha tracks! Look at Tim Thugga! Big Blaze! They did it! I liked their features tha best on here, except for Track #10! But yeah, beats are kinda plain, too. You don’t need ta sound like err-body in tha mainstream! Go back to tha Baton Rouge club sound!!

Review #1,575: JFK King "Something From Nothing (Hosted by DJ Ya Boy Earl)"

Reviewed on 10.24.2016 (Review #1,575)

Keepin’ my reviewz goin’, here’s someone I barely know, I think outta Shreveport (318)… (EDIT: Lived in Shreveport for a few years, but just got tha word that he from Monroe). JFK King Something From Nothing (Hosted by DJ Ya Boy Earl), courtesy of Dream Inc.! How will this go? Start Time: 8:28 AM | End Time: 9:14 AM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! 01. Intro
>>> Nice lil’ intro from Ya Boy Earl, here, as well as that warpin’ beat! My Rating: N/A

02. “Sunset”
Scott Supreme on tha production… >>> Sounds like it gon be a slow, R&B, fuckin’-in-tha-bed-like track? Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it sounds good, regularly-paced… Sounds good, but I hope it don’t get boring fa me, as this CD goes on… I like how you said near tha end, “I spend my time wisely; can you afford it?” That’s me right there, too! My Rating: 3.7

03. “Vice”
Young D doin’ tha beat… >>> Keepin’ tha R&B/soul thoughts alive, here, with a Simply Red background sample in tha beginning… Let’s see how much I can keep interest in this… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it ain’t too bad, once again; I can dig this slow vibe… I like how tha beat flows fa bein’ a sample, at first… Tha hook’s kinda nice fa this “love”-makin’ joint… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it ain’t too bad, once again… My Rating: 3.8

04. “SJW”
Anotha Young D beat… >>> Kinda sounds like it has more of a club vibe to it, but still, it has somewhat of an R&B vibe to it, for me… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and tha rhymes are pretty consistent, at times, as this holdin’ this track down… A “day” in tha life of tha JFK! Tha rest of tha verses ain’t too bad, here; above-decent fa me… My Rating: 3.9

05. “Looking At Me” feat. Domo
Young D! >>> Even tho it’s less on tha R&B vibe, I’m not big about this trap-rap sound… I like tha intro from Earl, here, but I’ono about this repetitive hook… Sounds like tha kinda rap I can hear on tha radio that sounds like bullshit… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s ehh… I like your party vibe, tho… Hearin’ tha Domo-featured dude on tha 2nd verse and it’s ehh, once again; can’t spark a crazy vibe… My Rating: 3.1

06. “The Boot”
Young D… >>> Likin’ tha intro from Earl, here!! “Throw an ‘L’ up if you from Louisiana, unless you drivin’! Jigg while you drivin’! Jigg!” Fuckin’ love it!! As far as this beat, it sounds nice and tha hook sounds decent from you, here; “L”-reppin’! Bass pretty loud on tha volume, here? Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds like random rhymes… I’ono how much I can feel tha lyrics but it ain’t bad… Tha 2nd verse’s ehh with these lyrics… It’s crazy how I like tha R&B-soundin’ tracks betta than tha club ones, on this CD! My Rating: 3.5

07. “Commercial”
Young D doin’ this beat, too… >>> Lovin’ these Earl intros! Either way, between this beat and these lyrics, it’s too mainstream-soundin’ fa me… I like how tha connection disconnected at 1:26! My Rating: 2.6

½time: Most of this iz just decent, so far, with a few below-average fa me… It sounds like you started tha mixtape off wit some R&B-soundin’ tracks, which weren’t too bad. Then, you kept it goin’ wit mainstream-soundin’ shit, where tha beats sound like tha usual shit you hear in tha game today. When I review, I don’t wanna hear shit I can hear a million times a day! Fa now, this a 3.4-rated CD…

08. “Dominos”
Young D on tha production, once again… >>> I like how this sounds wit tha repetitive hook; catchy lil’ club track… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds nice ta hear; not on a bullshit level! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it sounds great with this “pre-game in tha parking lot!” I had a lil’ bit of that on August 24, when I went to Philly ta pay tribute ta one of my murdered friends; tha meeting was nice… Hearin’ tha 3rd verse and it’s soundin’ great ta hear, once again; can’t deny it… My Rating: 4.1

09. “Brianna Interlude”
Obrian on tha track… >>> Thought it wasn’t gon be a track, at first, but it’s mainly just rhymes, here… Tha beat on tha quiet side and ain’t bad fa an “interlude.” Prolly could’ve been shorter, with, like, one less verse; kinda boring, here… Endin’ wit a bunch of gunshots, here? My Rating: 3.2

10. “Done With This” feat. Domo
Maskerade Beats beat… >>> Lol @ Earl in tha beginning wit “You know it’s jammin’ if I add it to my own playlist.” Ya know, it’s tha same wit me, too! As far as how this sounds, tha beat ain’t too bad, here, and tha 1st verse decent from you, here… Hearin’ tha hook and it may sound excellent and radio-friendly ta people who may think this sounds like a Drake/Ty Dolla $ign-soundin’ song, but it’s ehh fa me… And, tha 2nd verse sounds like one of those rap-singers that’s out now… My Rating: 3.6

11. “Hard Times” feat. Duece
Nate Rhoads on tha beat… >>> Sounds like a slow vibe, here, with a “fly” vibe on tha 1st verse, here… Tha rest of this was ehh; decent collab… My Rating: 3.0

12. “Montage”
Young D, here, on tha production, once again! >>> Sounds like a decent 1st verse, here, with a slow beat… Not really crazy about these lyrics and all this forgivin’, at times… My Rating: 2.7

13. “What They Like”
Nate beat… >>> Anotha slow vibe fa me…; too many slow vibes fa a ‘mixtape!’ This ain’t bad, but kinda slow fa me… My Rating: 3.3

14. “Chains” feat. Domo
Young D beat… >>> I kinda like tha line, “I wanna fuck wit my chains,” but this anotha slow one I can’t really dig too much… My Rating: 2.5

15. “Whatever Wherever” feat. Duece
Last one, produced by Maskerade Beats… >>> Sounded like one of tha better-soundin’ slow songs till tha hook came; ugly voice… My Rating: 2.0

Overall: I’ono about this one… Most of it was decent during tha 1st ½ and except for tha kick-off of tha 2nd ½ bein’ tha best one on here, tha 2nd ½ was mainly below-average and slow fa me… Still, I feel like you have potential, hopefully…

Review #1,574: Big Blaze "Solid Ground"

Reviewed on 10.24.2016 (Review #1,574)

Well, looks like I’m gettin’ to this sooner than I thought… I ain’t get ta go to tha chick’s house in Upstate NY, yesterday, after they had her workin’ overtime, smh… But, let’s just get this goin’. Today, however, I know I’m goin’ to Concrete City, an abandoned city in Northeast PA with all graffiti, for a photoshoot! I was ‘pose to go wit a chick but tha chick sick, so I prolly gon go by myself… For now, here comes my review for Big Blaze Solid Ground, which was released last year, courtesy of Dominant Rolla Association! Start Time: 7:25 AM | End Time: 7:56 AM

© 2016 CD Review (Review #1,574) reviewed on 10.24.2016 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. Intro
Here it comes… >>> You sound nice and calm, here, with this intro… Nice way ta put it fa Solid Ground! My Rating: N/A

02. “Don’t Know”
>>> Here comes somethin’ fresh, produced by Sims On Tha Track! Definitely diggin’ this sound to tha fullest; definitely soundin’ pure! Hearin’ tha hook and it’s pretty nice… Hey, this was on tha previous review I did, but I’ont think it was a full review! So, here comes tha official review! Definitely diggin’ how you comin’ through wit how they “don’t know” about how you comin’ through wit it! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ great wit your consistent rhymes! And yeah, we both know about tha “real,” right?!? Like, “Real,” with a capital “R”! I like how you kicked off tha 2nd verse wit “like a condom or a pistol, you gotta keep protected;” equivalent!! I’ll consider this a re-review! My Rating: 4.3

03. Interlude 1 (Moma)
>>> Sucks about your mama… “First time I decided to put life into my music…” However, you told me you were done after this CD? You were surprised I had more reviewz of yours ta do… Look at it this way: I’ont think tha world ain’t near tha same without my brother, anymore, but I will neva let go of anything I do! Been doin’ somethin’ fa Louisiana at least once a month since October 2007, when my connection started! And, I ain’t even miss a month! My Rating: N/A

04. “Moma”
>>> Not really my kinda track but tha production makes it sound nice… Tha hook ain’t too bad with this singin’… It kinda makes it feel like it’s tha ‘90s with tha singin’ and sound, here, on tha hook… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds great ta hear, with tha lyrics… “Holidays iz hell;” yeah, my brother died of an overdose on Mother’s Day! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and those are some real-life lyrics, here! Tha things a diabetic would go through, just like my mom’s mom… I’ll be nice wit this rating, since this really ain’t my kinda tracks, all tha way… My Rating: 3.8

05. Interlude 2 (Downfall)
>>> Glad you been able to survive in tha streetz… My Rating: N/A

06. “Downfall”
>>> Likin’ how tha production sounds, once again, includin’ what you spittin’ on tha 1st verse, here… Likin’ how tha hook sounds, here, with how tha beat sounds with those sounds and how you handle tha “downfall” predictions! Keepin’ it goin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through wit some nice shit ta hear, once again… My Rating: 4.2

½time: I’m diggin’ how this iz soundin’, so far… Definitely nice wit tha original production, here, as well as what you’re goin’ through! Seems like a lotta hate goin’ round yo way? Kinda like what I was dealin’ with, at tha time, with tha B-Real shit. When this CD came out, there was, like, no Louisiana music on my playlist ‘cause of that! I’ve dipped my toes back in tha water a lil’, now, but still have my guard up… For now, a 4.1-rated CD; let’s keep it goin’!

07. Interlude 3 (Right My Wrongs)
>>> Well said! My Rating: N/A

08. “Right My Wrongs”
Not “write,” but “right,” “right,” lol? I’ll let it slide ‘cause I think you goin’ wit makin’ your “wrongs” “right!” >>> Substance Muzik on tha production throughout most of this CD, here; nice! Tha hook sounds nice ta hear wit how you rightin’ these “wrongs!” Great job wit tha 1st verse, too, wit how you continuin’ where tha hook left off! And, tha 2nd verse sounds great ta hear wit these lyrics, too, keepin’ it “right!” And, we got a 3rd verse, here… Feels like so long since I “moved out!” Have been livin’ in my current house since December 15, 2003! My Rating: 4.2

09. “Bring It To ‘Em”
>>> Sounds great wit tha Substance Muzik production keepin’ it goin’… Iz Substance Muzik you, since you’re usually tha one that usually produces your tracks? I’ono, but I’m really feelin’ how you comin’ through on tha hook, here! This that nice Baton Rouge sound, here, fa me! Diggin’ this Baton Rouge, gangsta-like sound, here! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice, too; you can’t be stopped!! And, you keepin’ it goin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, doin’ tha damn thang! Sounded like you had big hopes fa “2016,” here…; did you? I think you need to fetch your dreams again, musically! Tha reviewz ain’t gon stop, unless I die! My Rating: 4.4

10. Interlude (Phone Call)
>>> Nice lil’ phone call, here… Still, to this day, I’ono how err-body has connections wit people to where they’ll pull through and be their friend, easily. I guess that’s been my struggle within life? I’ll prolly be 40 and be like, “How y’all get this one to treat you important?,” smh? My Rating: N/A

11. “Work Out” feat. Gunna
>>> Beat sounds nice from tha Substancetastic, once again! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and you’re spittin’ some nice rhymes on this excellent-soundin’ beat fa tha 225 undaground! Hey, hearin’ tha hook, here, and it sounds familiar, like I heard it from tha last review… I’ll just consider this anotha re-review, here… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s a feature (iz that that Gunna?); nice lil’ feature, here, fa holdin’ down tha track… I’ll put him on tha feature since it came from tha last CD… My Rating: 4.1

12. “Tomorrow”
>>> This beat sounds nice, here; props fa tha continuous production! Hearin’ tha hook and it sounds nice ta hear with that voice! “I started high school back in 1999;” I’m thinkin’, wow, that was so long ago! Then again, “I started high school back in [2002]!” Where’d tha time go? “I sleep wit all my clothes on;” yeah, if it gon be cold out! Naw, but fa’real, I do sleep in tha regular clothes I wear! Since I was 11, I ain’t really fuck wit pajamas! But, nice job wit this track! Short but sweet, here! My Rating: 4.3

13. “Solid Ground”
>>> Sounds nice, this time, wit Young Hustla on tha beat! Great job wit tha hook, holdin’ this “Solid Ground” down!! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and you soundin’ nice on this track, here! Nice reference ta “25 Lighters” on tha 1st verse, too! Neva imagined, but I do have about six or seven “lighters!” Tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ nice, too, and speakin’ of “high school,” you referenced “Lil’ Flip ‘Game Over’,” on tha 2nd verse; nice! My Rating: 4.3

Overall: Wow, it not even 8:00 AM, yet! Gon be a long day off ‘til a 10-day stretch! But, I felt how you came through on this, consistently, with tha rhymes and tha production! Dumb shit! Not sure if this your final release, but if it AIN’T, keep it goin’!!

Review #1,573: Gunna & Big Blaze "B.O.B. (Bars Over Bullshit)"

Reviewed on 10.22.2016 (Review #1,573)

Let’s see if I can get into some reviewz, before somethin’ else comes and distracts me… Tha Mob & Gwen Records iz presentin’ this one, from ’14: Gunna & Big Blaze B.O.B. (Bars Over Bullshit); leggo… Start Time: 4:17 PM | End Time: 10:02 PM

01. “Intro”
>>> Likin’ how tha beat sounds, here… Likin’ how you’re anti-“Stanky Legg” and all that bullshit on tha 1st verse, Blaze! Feelin’ how you comin’ through on this, here… Yeah, fuck tha “trap-rap,” and, as of now, fuck tha mumblin’ shit that’s out, now! It makes snap-rap seem like quality throwback music, smh! And, we got Gunna on tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through wit some decent rhymes… It’s good ta have him flow through on this, even tho Blaze sounds betta than him… And, an outro with 1:21 on tha length, here… SMH fa mentionin’ “jigg” music on tha outro, Gunna… I’ll take that before ANY—ANY day of work!!! Hell, I hear that jigg shit after a horrible day of work/yelling/uncomfortable employees/management & I go fuckin’ nuts, wishin’ for tha past back! My Rating: 4.4

02. “B.O.B.”
This one ain’t loadin’… Only 13 of 19 of ‘em downloaded, so I gon have to skip tha non-working ones… My Rating: N/A

03. “Let Me Thru”
Here comes a Blaze solo; let’s see… >>> Way before work: ’04, a whole decade before, here, with “Let Me In”, lol… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ nice. I like how you have a club vibe in tha lyrics, here… Hook sounds nice, but can you imagine it on an original beat? Tha 2nd verse kinda yada-yada wit a bunch of random shit goin’ on, fa me… I’ono, but I felt like I liked tha 1st verse betta… Uh, Baton Rouge’s 50 Cent on tha outro, here? Sounds like you was gone off somethin’, lol… My Rating: 3.8

04. “Move Out The Way”
A Gunna solo song, but it doesn’t work… My Rating: N/A

05. “Money On My Mind”
>>> This sounds decent fa a start, here, with Gunna in tha beginning; decent hook… Funny how it’s a song about “money”—tha worst topic fa rap, fa me, which y’all should throw in wit y’all “Stanky Legg” and that shit content! With that bein’ said, it’s soundin’ decent wit Gunna on tha 1st verse, here… I seem like I’m interested, but I’m really lackin’ it… Hearin’ Blaze on tha 2nd verse and it sounds betta than tha below-average feelings I had in tha beginning… Just feelin’ how Blaze comin’ through wit his flow… My Rating: 3.1

06. “My Life”
A Gunna solo track… Oh, and, surprisingly, guess we need tha jigg music back ‘cause I just got texted ta go back inta work in a half-hour, despite workin’ 4 AM – 11 AM this morning! >>> Feelin’ how this sounds in tha beginning; nice hook, here, with tha simple vibe… Good shit goin’ on wit tha 1st verse, here, soundin’ nice… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ nice fa a rap song, once again… I haven’t found a special feeling for a 4.0 rating, yet, except for tha intro track, tho… My Rating: 3.7

07. “Get It In”
>>> A decent start; not really feelin’ tha lyrics in tha beginning with this hook… Hearin’ Gunna on tha 1st verse and it’s decent, even tho I like tha hook betta, smh? Sounds betta wit Blaze, here, wit a 101 on needin’ ta hustle… Gotta feel how Blaze comes through wit tha consistent rhymes and lyrics, here; undeniable! Either way, it turned out ta be decent fa me, overall… My Rating: 3.6

08. “Smash Somethin’”
A Big Blaze solo song, but it don’t work, neither… My Rating: N/A

09. “My Nigga”
>>> Here we go wit this beat—or, should I say, remade, a lil’? Like, lower quality? Hook sounds good fa a “My Nigga” remake, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse from Blaze and it’s soundin’ great wit this gangsta shit fa tha Rouge; gotta feel it! And, Gunna on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit some decent shit, here… My Rating: 3.6

½time: Well, at 4:39 PM on Saturday, October 22, 2016, I gon have to pause this review fa now… So far, we’re at a 3.7 fa tha CD rating. Even tho I feel how Big Blaze comes through wit his rhymes, Gunna decent and I’m not that crazy about reviewin’ jacked-beat music. Still, not bad, right? 2morrow, I gotta work in tha morning and then, I’m takin’ a chick wit me to see this 49-year-old chick I used ta work with, who I really get my shmoke on with, in Upstate NY; can’t wait!! I’ll resume this when I get off this shift I finna take… *Eats dinner and goes to work…, again…!* *Returns exactly five hours later at 9:39 PM…*

10. “Freestyle”
>>> Hearin’ Gunna on tha 1st verse and it’s aight ova this decent beat… Kinda reminds me of them online beats or somethin’, when I used ta review those random rappers I’d find on DatPiff or somethin’… Hearin’ Blaze on tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ betta; can dig it… Nice job wit tha rhymes, Blaze… My Rating: 3.3

11. “Dumb”
Here comes Blaze… >>> This sounds more like my style, with tha nice production and err-thang… Nice job wit tha simple hook and tha verse from Blaze sounds nice, here… Gotta dig tha consistent rhymes and tha club vibe, of course! My Rating: 4.2

12. “Name In Yo Mouth (Pt. 2)” feat. Alvin Ray
A feature! >>> Anotha one that sounds nice ta hear… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s pretty nice with tha energy, of course! Blaze holdin’ tha hook down, as well as how tha 1st verse’s soundin’, here… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse from Gunna and it’s decent fa this original track… And, we got tha 3rd verse from Alvin Ray, comin’ through wit a nice voice and okay rhymes, here; flowin’ nicely… My Rating: 4.3

13. “My Reality”
Can Gunna handle it by himself? >>> Kinda likin’ how Gunna rappin’ off this beat, here… I like how it’s about tha “mama,” even tho I’m usually not crazy about these kinda songs “from tha heart.” My Rating: 3.9

14. “48 Bars Of Fire”
Blaze solo! >>> Funny ‘cause hearin’ Big Blaze rap reminds me of this dude, Yung Yola (n.k.a. Yola No Soda) with tha voice. I used to be so obsessed wit him and gave him so many chances with thinkin’ he had shit goin’ on/was “busy.” However, it broke my heart when I found out tha “busy” shit was false and he neva made me important. I’ono what was up but I called him out on it earlier this year and he deleted me; bullshit! No need to release CDs and not tell me/wait for me to find it months later! What kinda passion dat iz?! But yeah, this beat ehh ta rap off… Tha rhymes are pretty nice and consistent, even tho this ehh for a track, itself… My Rating: 3.4

15. “Bet Dat Up”
Blaze solo; doesn’t work… My Rating: N/A

16. “What I Feel”
Gunna, again… >>> Not too crazy about this slow vibe…; decent rappin’, here… My Rating: 3.0

17. “Don’t Know”
>>> I like how Blaze comin’ through on this wit a decent beat, here, fa tha 1st verse… Tha hook sounds a lil’ catchy, even tho I kinda cringe when I hear Blaze holdin’ notes, like he singin’, lol… Now, we got Gunna on tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through wit some regular-soundin’ raps… My Rating: 3.7

18. “Hood Hop”
Lol, after all these titles, I’ve come to realize this a throwback one, like, ’04 throwback… Either way, it don’t work, smh. My Rating: N/A

19. “Love” feat. Anonomus
Doesn’t work… My Rating: N/A

Overall: Even tho I couldn’t hear each track, from what I counted, it turned out ta be an okay release… Most of tha tracks were decent, as it was just rhymes… I mainly fucks wit Big Blaze and how he sounds, vs. Gunna’s decent efforts… Either way, great job. Now, after two shifts, I gotta go hit tha bed. I gotta open 4:00 – 11:00 AM 2morrow & then, a 2 ¾-hour drive to Upstate NY to party & then, I gotta drive back later on! Busy day 2morrow! Got anotha Blaze review comin’ up but I’ono how many dayz it gon be till I get to it… And, to add, Tracks 1, 4, 8, 9, 14 & 17 were produced by Big Blaze, while #11 was produced by $hop With Ken. I forgot to look at tha back cover while doin’ tha review!
