Review #1,789: Lil' Yella "The Johnny Blanco Story"

Reviewed on 12.31.2018 (Review #1,789)

As I’m on my way to gettin’ to da moola, lemme get this review outta tha way, right quick: Lil’ Yella The Johnny Blanco Story, courtesy of Live2Hustle! L2H! Start Time: 7:46 AM | End Time: 8:17 AM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. “Pablo Escobar (Intro)”
JMan on da beat! >>> Great rhymes, even tho a typical-soundin’ mainstream beat, here… Still, gotta luv tha rhymes you bringin’ to tha table! My Rating: 3.7

02. “WGBT” feat. NBA YoungBoy
>>> Just like how it was when I was witchu, as you were playin’ me your tracks! “We Gonna Ball Today”! Great shit, includin’ how energetic you are wit dis! Great hook, great energy, great wit what you bring to tha table, here! Glad that you got to collab wit YoungBoy, but I don’t feel him as close as err-body else; way too overrated! Still, definitely nice, despite his rich/typical rhymes… My Rating: 4.5

03. “Move For The Money”
I’ono… >>> Not into all tha “money” tracks, so this kinda ehh fa me… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it sounds good wit your rhymes, at least. Glad your rhymes ain’t shitty, despite tha “money” hook… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, too; ehh, it iz what it iz… My Rating: 3.2

04. “Trip 2 Cali” feat. Pacman Viccz & A1 Yeezy
>>> Not really feelin’ this typical-soundin’ track; sounds like every mainstream track… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & I just wanna skim through this track… Fuck! Tha shit not playin’, right nah; my fuckin’ iTunes…! Got it back up; here you are on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit some betta rhymes… Liked your faster rhymes on tha No Limit 2 Cash Money CD betta than this, but it betta than that 1st verse, tho! Hearin’ tha 3rd verse from this Yeezy dude and he sound betta… Not too bad, overall, but that 1st verse & this mainstream vibe kinda got me like, hmm… My Rating: 2.7

05. “Lit Up” feat. Kevin Gates
JMan on dis beat, too… >>> I’ll admit, Gates sounds pretty good on this one, despite me bein’ iffy wit tha fast rappin’… Still, he brought a nice street vibe fa you fa this 2K18! Also, nice hook; great collab! Decent lil’ typical-soundin’ mainstream beat, too… Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse and it sounds good ta hear, too… My Rating: 4.4

06. “Getcha Shine On”
JMan on da beat… Accidentally heard it on tha previous CD… My Current Rating: 3.9

07. “Cashmoney” feat. Joey Bae
JMan! >>> I like how this one sounds, if this gotta be tha best-soundin’ JMan track… I know it ‘bout “money,” but it “Cashmoney,” here, like Cash Money! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice wit what you bringin’… Fastness, “money,” ummm…, good, tho… Tha rest of this pretty nice, too; good shit, overall… My Rating: 3.6

½time: Kinda in-between wit my feelings fa this, here… Looks like tha big-featured tracks were tha ones fa me, despite me not really goin’ for ‘em… Only a 3.7-rated CD, so far…

08. “Madness”
>>> Sounds pretty nice, on tha hook, even tho a mainstream-soundin’ beat… Decent, overall; can’t really say much… My Rating: 3.0

09. “Doors Up”
JMan… >>> Likin’ how this beat sounds; sounds like an intense movie finna be recorded in tha streetz! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s good wit your regular-soundin’ rhymes—well, big livin’… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s pretty good, too; good shit… Tha 2nd verse soundin’ nice wit what you bringin’, too; keep bein’ “flawless!” My Rating: 4.3

10. “She Tatted” feat. Shi
JMan, here… >>> Sounds like an attempt at makin’ a club banga but this singin’ voice, on tha hook, sounds like an Internet-sampled track or somethin’…! Hearin’ you rap on this and, damn, you gotta go wit tha Cardi B flow? Damn; lemme make this quick! Too mainstream-y fa me…! My Rating: 2.5

11. “How You Want It”
Hitz, here (Young Hitz, I assume?)… >>> Yup, this our Young Hits/Hitz, but this beat start kinda not for me… Ugh, why a trick? Not-listed singer on tha hook? Kinda ehh but I’d rather go with a negative perspective than a positive one… Hearin’ you rap and it’s ehh; not for me, this time… My Rating: 1.3

12. “Ol’ School”
JMan, here… >>> Has a good screwed & chopped vibe fa tha 2K18, here, on tha hook… Kinda likin’ how tha soul mixes wit tha S&C sound, here! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it has an interestin’ soul/ballin’ mix fa this slowie… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, too, soundin’ okay, too… My Rating: 3.4

13. “Reasons” feat. Doe_XO
JMan, once again… >>> I think this’ll be an okay/good collab… Kinda likin’ tha hook from Doe & what you got goin’ on, here… Sounds like it could be bigger than expected? Well, maybe based off that hook… Hearin’ you rap and, I’ono, but this fast-rappin’ shit always throws me off… Not everyone iz Twista!! Still keepin’ tha fastness goin’ throughout tha 2nd verse… I like how you have some man-made sound effects, like, “BOOM!,” ya dig? My Rating: 3.8

14. “Changes 2” feat. Lydia Paek
>>> Don’t wanna hear Tupac, remade, slowed down… Nice try, good lyrics, but not my cup of tealicious tea…! Even got tha same lyrics/vibe on this hook from this Lydia… Ehh, don’t wanna leave anymore feedback but props on comin’ “from nothin’!” My Rating: 1.7

Overall: Thought it was gon be betta but I guess this where tha mainstream comes to kick my ass… Still, a few tracks stood out fa me, so at least one of ‘em’ll be featured on my 2018 year-end countdown, comin’ January 7th!

02. “Soulja Bling”
Can’t wait fa my “Soulja Bling!” It’s crazy that no matter tha money, reputation, etc., time off iz what’s tha struggle, smfh!! >>> Kickin’ it off wit Juvie & his “Ha” lyrics, flipped…; sounds good off dis beat…! Hearin’ tha hook and it sounds good ta 2010s this “Soulja Rag”; good shit! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & you go into even mo Cash Money shit, wit tha mixed beats; good shit! My Rating: 4.1

03. “Ridin’”
BlaqNmilD on da beat! >>> Feelin’ this beginning; almost reminds me of a Baton Rouge-type beat intro but it’s N’awlinz! Definitely sounds great; pure shit fa tha 2K18! Good shit comin’ from ya throughout tha 1st verse! “Still drippin’, like my nose got a bad cold;” I feel dat! Crazy that I came up wit my million-dolla plan on December 16th, via a “bad cold;” crazy! Keepin’ it goin’ wit tha 2nd verse & I luv that you be shinin’ so bright wit how you’ve grown! Likin’ tha “turn up, turn up, turn up” energy; go, Yella! My Rating: 4.4

04. “Army / We On Fire / Getcha Roll On”
Three in 1? >>> Hearin’ tha “Army” part, first & it sounds good wit tha throwback beat/how you flow on this…! Good shit, includin’ how it randomly transitioned into “We On Fire”, via tha hook! Like how you wanna “take it back,” via tha 2nd verse, too! Luv your energy! People gotta have dat energy! Gotta luv how you end it wit tha “Getcha Roll On” transition, too! My Rating: 4.2

05. 9th Ward Mazi (Skit)
>>> Nice lil’ skit, outta nowhere… 9th Ward Mazi kinda remind me of a laidback version of “Ziggla Wiggla,” too, since he mentioned him… Likin’ tha “Cash Money”-type beat in tha background, too…! My Rating: N/A

06. “Rich Chiggaz”
>>> Sounds like a good lil’ Cash Money-type beat, here, as you do ya thang on tha 1st verse! Definitely feelin’ tha “fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiya” hook you bringin’, via tha “fiya;” good shit! Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse and it sounds good ta hear, too; keep it goin’! My Rating: 4.3

½time: Great vibes, great Cash Money style throughout this mixtape! A 4.2-rated CD, so far; keep it goin’!

07. “Pay 4 Back Motion”
>>> Good vibe, strictly bouncin’, here; good shit! Hearin’ Slim on tha hook and it reminds me of how Nu$$ie, Lil’ Boxx & all them sampled it, back last decade…! Then, you switch it up to “Slow Motion” on tha beat; good shit! Likin’ tha blend, of course! Endin’ it wit “Back Dat Azz Up”, too; half tha time, I can’t believe that was mainstream, 19 years ago! Used to think it was so played out, lol! My Rating: 4.0

08. “Memories”
>>> Sounds like you gon bring a set of “memories” & history, here; let’s see… Sounds good wit this beat and how you evolved to tha Yella you are, now! Hook sounds like a C-Murder vs. Lil’ Yella-type voice/vibe; good shit! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and tha “skippin’ school” shit mighta been risky, but you done made it, overall! My Rating: 3.7

09. “Down 4 My Gang / Hoody Hoo”
>>> Goin’ wit tha C beat, here, “4 [Your] Gang!” Sounds good wit how you deliverin’ tha 1st verse, here, throwin’ “away da key!” Like how you “down 4 [your] gang,” here; good shit! Now, tha beat soundin’ like it all distorted & it sounds like an auditorium… Sounds good wit this “jail cell,” shit; good shit! My Rating: 3.9

10. “Dragem In The River / Beware”
>>> Likin’ your U.N.L.V. samplin’, here, ta kick thangz off… Now, settin’ it off wit Juvie’s “Set It Off” beat, as you rap your thugged-out style, here…; good shit! Slowin’ it down wit Mystikal’s beat, too, blendin’ err-thang pretty nicely, here! Lol, even rappin’ fast & vicious like him! Gotta luv it, not like how all these lame-ass rappers be tryna go fast & shit, today! My Rating: 4.4

11. “Block Burna / Ha”
>>> Sounds good wit tha slower vibe, here, wit how you comin’ through wit dat ‘90s “whodie” / N’awlinz style; gotta luv it! Glad you payin’ tribute ta your roots of a Yella teen! Now, as I expected, you goin’ ta Juvie’s “Ha” beat; good shit! My Rating: 3.8

12. “Big Ballin’”

Switched up to a “Swamp” beat, here; good shit! “Mo shells than a turtle;” good shit! I had some weird dream, last night, that I was drivin’ & I tried to get a pic, in tha middle of tha road, wit an iguana or somethin’, lol! Crazy! Slow flow toward tha final verse, but that’s what a “swamp” does! It’s mucky & slows ya down, ya feel me? “Swamp” = Lean! Lol! My Rating: 4.1

Reviewed on 12.30.2018 (Review #1,787)

Only got two dayz left of 2018… Might as well get to these reviewz that I’m behind in! This one’s Doonie Heartfelt Vol. 2, courtesy of Cash Made Worldwide & produced by $hop With Ken! Heard & met up wit Doonie on September 4, 2018, where he played a good portion of tha CD fa me, in da car… It sounded real nice & good to where it felt like a good throwback sound! Lookin’ forward ta finally reviewin’ it…! Start Time: 6:38 AM | End Time: 7:33 AM

01. Intro
>>> Yeah, I like how $hop With Ken & you got inspired by tha ‘90s Cash Money music, here! Definitely feelin’ how you hype up tha “intro,” here! Yeah, all about dat “slimy shit” & not dat “fugazi-ass shit!” My Rating: N/A

02. “Do You Want It” feat. GameSpittas
Here goes that September 4th night!! >>> Yeah, this how tha Doonie part was in my Louisiana Trip #04 documentary! Great job wit da Ken beat, as well as how you got tha hook on lock! It’s all about this challenge: “Do You Want It” or not?! Great!! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds pretty dope wit how you keep tha energy comin’! All about da energy, to da fullest!! Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse and tha GameSpittas pretty nice, here, too; good shit! My Rating: 4.7

03. “Changed On Me”
>>> Anotha nice lil’ laidback, but energized beat by Ken! Hearin’ tha hook and it sounds pretty nice, here; good shit! Catchy, tight rhymes in tha 1st verse, here! Luved hearin’ these while fulla dat good, too! Great way ta introduce good, quality, Baton Rouge, LA shit, ya heard me? Likin’ tha 2nd verse’s intro about how your late “sista” told you, “Keep rappin’,” as well as Ken combinin’ witchu! My Rating: 4.3

04. “’98 CMB”
>>> A nice lil’ beat, here; sounds laidback, a lil’ plain, but wit dat quality! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and I luv how you have dat good, throwback vibe to your flow! It actually reminds me of how King Sav did his thang wit Mouse On Tha Track on “Shit Yeah”, eight years ago; great shit! Definitely nice wit tha two verses and how you wanna “shine,” on tha hook! My Rating: 4.4

05. “Birthdays”
Didn’t even realize there was a great title like this, that applies to me! You already know that, since age 10, I been rememberin’ all da “birthdays!” >>> Oh, you look at ‘em like da “worst dayz;” damn. I understand, wit your late sista, but wit my late brotha, I celebrate ‘em bigga! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and, at least this ain’t no depressin’ shit! Kinda sad, at times, wit missin’ ya patnaz, but tha beat’s upbeat and your flow helps keep tha interest… Hearin’ da 2nd verse and it sounds good; don’t let ‘em stop you! I’m shinin’, now, and no one’ll take my crown!! My shine!! “Last time I shed a tear was on 4/20.” Just like I told my mom, “While I’m high, don’t throw any negative energy or worries at me!” It don’t mix right…! My Rating: 3.7

06. “Down 4 Life”
>>> A laidback, nice lil’ production fa while you fulla dat good, here; good hook, too… Definitely sounds catchy wit how you sing-rap it, not in a corny way (wit how you mentioned in tha intro)! Hearin’ tha 1st verse from you and it sounds good wit how you got your guard up…! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it sounds good wit what you spittin’… “We all ‘G,’ like $1,000!” That’s right! My Rating: 4.1

>>> Short but long beat intro, here; just a beat? Interestin’ ta throw this in tha mix…! Good lil’ upbeat, Cash Money-like vibe… My Rating: 4.0

08. “What They Want” feat. Tay Raww
>>> I like how tha previous track strictly blended inta this one; good shit! Nice lil’ beat, once again, as well as tha collaboration hook wit this chick! Nice job wit how you comin’ through on tha 1st verse, as always; keep holdin’ it down…! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse from Tay and it sounds like she has a good lil’ flow… Kinda sounds a lil’ annoying, at times, like Nicki Minaj on tha voice. However, she sounds good to collab just on tha hook, fa me… My Rating: 3.8

09. “Countin’ Pockets”
>>> Sounds like a betta vibe, here; good shit! Likin’ how “she want mo;” we all “want mo!” Great job wit tha 1st verse, wit how you comin’ through wit this good vibe… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ good ta hear, as well… Once again, anotha great vibe ta proceed wit this consistent CD…! My Rating: 3.9

12. “The Ghetto”
>>> Sounds good, just like tha previous track! “Field” or “Ghetto,” you got dis! Great job wit tha hook and survivin’ these “slumz,” wit Ken on da track! 13. “Savage You”
>>> A lil’ slower on da beat, but sounds nice wit how you comin’ through on tha hook… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it sounds a lil’ like you in a nice lil’ crib… I was at your lil’ apartment and it made me feel like tha good lil’ apartment my cousin lived in, during tha early 2010s. Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse and it’s pretty nice wit what you comin’ wit… Just a regular-soundin’ track fa me, but above-average wit your verses… My Rating: 3.8

14. “The Setup”
>>> Likin’ tha upbeat vibe, once again; consistent vibes comin’ from you, here… Good shit wit how you got tha hook goin’ on; enjoyin’ what you got… I like how you sound like Juvenile, while you flow! Maybe fa me… My Rating: 4.1

15. “Paranoid”
>>> I like tha “noid” beginning, here… Luckily, my “noid” feelings have vanished, at times. See, my brotha passin’ destroyed tha fear, tha “paranoid” & all dat, you know? Good shit on tha hook, in a screwed way! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice wit what you got goin’ on, of course… I like how it sounds after tha 2nd hook! Tha heartbeat-type sound, tha “noid” feelin’; good shit! Almost sounds a lil’ like today’s southern vibes, in tha beat, but it good… My Rating: 4.2

You already know I wanna do it big wit tha Baton Rouge rappers & producers! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ good, too, wit how you holdin’ yoself down; good shit! My Rating: 4.0

20. Outro (I Love You)
>>> Sounds good fa an “outro;” no depressin’ vibes, here… Yeah, definitely big ups to “Ken fa all these fiya-ass beatz!” Good shit; keep it goin’! My Rating: N/A

Music Video #20: Doe-Doe "Fresh Out Tha Dungeon (Intro)"

Music video for Baton Rouge, LA's Doe-Doe "Fresh Out Tha Dungeon (Intro)", produced by myself! Tha song was released on December 24, 2017, on Lucky Dogz Entertainment, as tha 1st single from my upcoming 3rd album, Autistic Stoner Rap, Vol. 1: A Trip To B.R.. Tha video was filmed by Doe-Doe & I, as well as it bein' edited by myself. This quick comeback track iz about enjoyin' life like it's every day of your life, combined. It's all about havin' each others' backs, through thick-n-thin! Livin' it up like celebz!! I believed in him so much to continue doin' what he's doin' fa tha undaground of Louisiana! Here's a perfect example: PURE, FRESH & PURE, x1000!!!

Doe-Doe
"Fresh Out Tha Dungeon (Intro)"
Label: Lucky Dogz Entertainment
Producer: Frank Calhoune

Lyrics:
[Intro]
What up, Frank? Tha Lucky Dog. It's Doe-Doe, baby (Lucky Dog)...
What up, Frank? Zoned out, shmoked out... Ballin'...

[Verse]
I'm like, what it do, Frank? Let's get lit.
I prolly shmoke a 3.5, be on tha edible tip.
Where da drank at (huh)? Uh, where da tabs at (huh)?
Shit, you got a bag (whoo)? Well, let's have that.
It's so trippy, from PA to LA.
It's been a long time comin', but it's guaranteed we stay.
It's only a few that I know that's 1,000.
One call, that's all, and my dawg solvin' problems.
This ain't no overnight, microwave shit.
This that mud, sweat & tears, with some bloody-knuckle fists.
No need to get pissed, only good vibes here.
On tha real, keep it trill, nigga, fly like a leer.
In tha sky like Aaliyah, zoned out, just coastin'.
This potion so potent; me and tha Lucky Dog floatin'.
Mane, it's amazin'; this hard work dedication.
Tha trials & tribulations we facin', but now, we here.
