Review #1,319: Racked-Up Ready "Street Laws (Hosted by Trap-A-Holics & DJ Frank White)"

Reviewed on 8.31.2013 (Review #1,319)

Got my final current review for a while. Then, I prolly gon catch up wit tha old ones, once I get situated, as well as figuring out where my life iz going. But, for now, got this Racked-Up Ready—formerly, Young Ready—Street Laws (Hosted by Trap-A-Holics & DJ Frank White) review I finna do. I have to admit, I really don’t like tha name change at all. Why iz everyone tryna turn they name into somethin’ money-related? So far, I’ve seen three people this year do it:
Brister Boy to G-Money
Young Kidd Kidd to Stacks
Young Ready to Racked Up Ready
Especially that I got robbed, hearin’ anything money-related has been makin’ me feel less and less comfortable… So many people bullshit about it, too! But, whether or not I care, I still gon review this. It’s a Dead Game Records release, and I think Kevin Gates iz a target on this CD? Looks like somethin’ brutal, so we’ll see what goes down! BTW, I guess this CD gets a “L” wit sellin’ copies ‘cause it’s 1:34:34 on tha length; why so long? I just reviewed Kevin Gates’ Stranger Than Fiction, and it got an average CD rating of 3.9. It had two 4.6-rated songs top it, but had a 1.1-rated song bring tha ratings down. Let’s see how you do, Ready… Start Time: 11:38 AM | End Time: 1:06 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes 100,000x (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it! After I was robbed by an artist who claimed they “get money,” hearin’ about how much you “got money” and anything “money” really bothers me. If you have not done business wit me before, I won’t tolerate “money” talk in tha music!!

01. The Voice
Uh oh, I smell an explosion, based off of some of tha shit I’ve read online… >>> Sounds like an intro… From readin’ further online, this iz Travis from Dead Game Records. BTW, what tha hell happened ta Bottomline Music Group? :( Wow, this dude’s pissed! Wonder if he was autistic; how would he’ve said so much? Hey Travis, I’m autistic; conversing iz a blessing! Poor Kevin Gates! Guess Travis thinks he’s Stranger Than Non-Fiction? Damn, guess no more Guss fa Gates. I have to say, Guss gets a “W” for followin’ me on Twitter; Gates doesn’t, and Ready, you follow me, so that’s anotha “W” for you. Some of this iz startin’ ta get cocky… Wonder if Travis knows who I am…? Overall, I don’t think people should have publicized beefs, unless you wanna die. Just brush it off! Ewe, Travis, “New York”? Who cares about dat expensive, gas-eating place that I’m from!! My Rating: N/A

02. “Intro”
I guess “The Voice” was just an extra thing, since this iz tha actual “intro”? EQ production… >>> Nice lil’ track, here; gotta give this a plus! Sounds like you’re ready ta attack anything in your path! I would hope that nothin’s soft and for tha females, like dat Family Ties was, since this iz a weapon against Gates! My Rating: 4.2

03. “Pop Lock”
Yeah, Savage doin’ some production, here!! >>> Nice start; sounds pretty nice!! Wow, luvin’ tha beat at :13!! Didn’t know Savage had that happier side ta him wit tha beat’s vibe! Great how this sounds; keepin’ it gangsta, here! Sounds nice wit tha hook, too; sounds like it blends nicely for tha streetz and tha hoes? Whoo @ tha 2nd verse; pretty consistent wit how you comin’ through wit it! My Rating: 4.4

04. “Somethin’ Serious”
Have I heard of this Yella On Tha Track producer? Maybe once? Not sure… >>> WTF wit tha “DJ—DJ—DJ” shit? Sounds like “DJ”—Annoying—Khaled! But, lemme just get to tha song… Feelin’ tha beat, here, as you’re comin’ through wit some nice shit fa tha streetz! Tha hook sounds nice, here; sounds like you’re doin’ it big? Well, if you wanna beat Kevin Gates, I’d suggest you send some of dem “racks” to me, and get some nice commercials, videoz, etc. done! Gates hasn’t done any services wit me, yet, and neither have you! Now’s your chance to defeat him! Not bad for a song, overall; you stayin’ consistent, here… My Rating: 3.9

05. “Get Ya Mind Right” Feat. DJ B-Real & Mista Cain
Jay Scalez beat. Oh, this song, lol! A “W” for y’all! Previously reviewed it on tha Louisicain 2.5! My Current Rating: 4.9

06. “Hold That Noise (Remix 2)” Feat. Yo Gotti & Kevin Gates
Saw that Savage was on tha beat, here, but didn’t realize Gates iz in this? Must be a 2nd remix? Kinda odd, knowing that this iz an anti-Gates CD! >>> Just gonna review Gates’ part, since this sounds tha same as tha other two versions… LOL @ him on here! He sounds tight wit his consistentness, but it’s such a victory for him for bein’ on your track!! What was wit tha last part of his verse? He just quoted you, Ready! Dick-wrong-ridin’? My Rating: 4.5

07. “Master P” Feat. Gucci Mane
??? What’s wit tha title/feature? Q-Red beat. >>> Sounds like tha title should be “In Tha Trap”? Oh wait, I heard tha title, just now… This also sounds familiar wit tha 1st verse, like I’ve heard this from somewhere else… Either way, it sounds like you’re deliverin’ some catchy shit, here, on tha 1st verse; how can tha streetz deny this? Not understandin’ why Gucci’s on this; gay braggin’! He’s so ’04 ta me! Still, that’s nowhere-near as bad as that Migos dude on Kevin Gates’ CD! My Rating: 3.1

08. “Ran Thru”
Some more Scalez beatz comin’ at cha! >>> I like this vibe; sounds like a Savage-produced track, so J.Scalez did a nice job wit this one! I think this vibe’s also a lil’ too feel-good fa this kinda battlin’ CD… Like, it sounds like you’re havin’ a good time than bein’ mad with success… Still, catchy hook and track, overall. My Rating: 3.8

09. “Hold It Down” Feat. Savage & DJ B-Real
LOL, it looks like it’s 2008 again with these features together! And, holdin’ tha beat down, it’s Savage!! Pretty anxious fa this one! >>> Beat start sounds like a nice sequel from tha previous song… Not likin’ tha “phone” start from you, on tha 1st verse… This joint sounds like a song fa tha real; not bad wit your 1st verse… Oh, thought it would be B-Real on tha hook, but it’s Savage on tha hook; sounds nice! You know Sav has a great voice ta hold tha south down! Huh? You’re on tha 2nd verse wit tha “phone” again, Ready? Any room fa B-Real wit only 1:09 left? Oh, there’s still 37 seconds left… A short, 3rd verse from B-Real, here… Great voice; sounds dedicated fa someone who finna get out… Then again, B-Real, I FINNA BE AN UNCLE!!! My Rating: 4.3

10. “Phone Jumpin’” Feat. Mouse On Tha Track, Doe B & Zedzilla
More Scalez beatz. However, I consider this a big “L” and I ain’t gonna agree wit this song at all, prolly, ‘cause we all know, Young Ready, you don’t have a phone! I still don’t have tha #, and when you told me it was your “girl”’s #, in 2010, one of my BR boyz told me that you were playin’ mind games wit me. Not cool… Whether I like this song or not, I don’t think I can take it serious… >>> Sounds like an anticipated beat… Okay, Mouse on tha hook, here; I can deal wit him and his “phone!” Hope you don’t ruin this wit your girl’s “phone,” Ready! Here’s tha 1st verse from Ready, comin’ through wit a nice, street vibe fa this Jay Scalez track… At least, I didn’t hear any braggin’ about tha “phone,” so that’s a good thing! Tha 2nd verse iz Doe B (iz that Doe Boy from tha Short Bus Boyz)? Sounds consistent; it’s good for this track… Hearin’ this 3rd verse from Zedzilla, and it sounds like Young Gregory… Sounds like they’re on top, but I’ve neva heard of them before? Okay, exactly one minute left; will it just be tha beat endin’ this thang off? Damn, 37 seconds later, tha hook repeated… My Rating: 4.1

11. “Bad Habit”
Lord knows, we got ‘em, lol, wit Q-Red on tha beat! >>> What’s it like havin’ a “bitch,” Ready, despite always bein’ in tha streetz? Anyway, likin’ tha sound of this wit tha hook; catchy wit it bein’ “up her alley,” this “bad habit,” lol. Hearin’ tha 1st verse, and it sounds like you qualify for all this success, huh? No wonder why people ignore me! I ain’t got what you got! Tha 2nd verse sounds like it flows wit this, too. BTW, Ready, I might be gettin’ “Instagram” soon! Wonder if you’ll pay attention? Prolly not ‘cause I know I get no attention, whatsoever! My Rating: 4.0

12. “What Up!”
LOL, puttin’ some big “W”s on here to balance your score out? My Current Rating: 4.9

13. “Like Christmas”
Got some Middle Fingga Productions a.k.a. EQ Tha Misfit, here… >>> I love how you keep comin’ through wit attackin’ peoples’ Christmases!! LOL, if it’s one holiday tha big ol’ Grinch’ll be on, it’ll be Christmas, and a big, around-30-year-old dude by tha name of Young Ready! I’m feelin’ how you comin’ through wit this shit on tha 1st verse; sounds like you’re “rockin’” wit only tha best… Well, you kinda forgettin’ ‘bout me, at times… Consistent beat, by tha way; sounds like you can’t even breathe, lol! “All I want fa Christmas iz freedom fa my niggaz.” Wow @ showin’ dudes luv; I don’t even know what dat be like! My Rating: 4.4

½time: So far, this iz a pretty consistent CD; most of this shit be nice! Currently, you’re at 4.2 for tha CD rating! At tha ½time on Gates’ latest CD, he had 4.4, surprisingly. But, this was before tha shitty-ass song came in. So, we’ll see how things end!

14. “Not Gone Let U Slide” Feat. Madd Marvin & Mista Cain
Looks like it gon be raw… Mizzle on tha track, here… >>> Nice beat, here; sounds like some original, Baton Rouge-soundin’ roots! Feelin’ how you comin’ through on tha 1st verse, too; you seem ta be puttin’ tha rounds in peoples’ mouths! And, tha hook sounds pretty nice, too! I’m definitely feelin’ tha catchiness, here! Hearin’ this Marvin dude on tha 2nd verse and yea, this iz more like tha features! I can hear tha 225 in his voice; good/dumb shit!! Got Mista on tha 3rd verse, here… It fits; that’s all I can say. My Rating: 4.5

15. “Fuckin’ Off” Feat. Bugsy Calhoone
“Calhoun”? “Calhoone” in my book! No producer listed? Good feature, though, so I’m anticipated! >>> Sounds like a masturbatin’ hook, lol? I can dig it, in whatever perspective this iz… I can feel tha 1st verse, here; sounds like you’re livin’ a regular day in tha 225… Okay, now, tha hook’s kinda gettin’ repetitive… Tha 2nd verse sounds good, here; nothin’ much ta say about it… Hearin’ Bugsy on tha 3rd verse… Sounds pretty direct. Damn wit you, Ready, and your “phone” shit… My Rating: 3.7

16. “Picture Me A Tru Nigga” Feat. MMG Bay Bay, Rudye & C-Murder
Again, no production listed, but I’m startin’ ta like these different features you’re goin’ for! >>> Tha hook sounds pretty nice, here! And, we got Rudye on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit consistentness! “Tha flames!” Got some C-Murder on tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through wit consistentness, also! Those rhymes are non-stop! Got tha final verse, here, from you, and it’s you, showin’ off how you “do” it, like a T-to-tha-R-to-tha-U dude! My Rating: 4.3

17. “Fuck Nigga” Feat. Savage
Yea, family at its finest!! Savage doin’ tha beat, too!! >>> Luvin’ tha Savage start, here, exposin’ tha “fuck” niggaz! Great hook and great beat, as well as you joinin’ in tha hook, Ready!! Prolly tha best new song on here, for me!! Hearin’ tha 1st verse, and it sounds like some nice laws you spittin’, here; definitely feelin’ it, Ready! You even holdin’ down tha 2nd verse, too; can’t forget about you, Ready, no matter what minuses are in my mind! My Rating: 4.7

18. “Got It On Me” Feat. Malachi & Lil’ One The Champ
Can be hit or miss, but I won’t know ‘cause there’s no production listed… >>> I’m feelin’ this; great gangsta side ta Malachi on tha hook, here! Definitely a “W”! We all know about when I first heard Malachi on Kevin Gates’ jointz: Straight “L”! Now, he’s become betta wit tha hooks, and when he’s with you, it sounds like we got a hit, here! Speakin’ of you, here you are on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit neva-dyin’ street shit! Oh…, yes…, a Malachi verse!! Tha 2nd verse belongs ta Malachi, and I’m definitely feelin’ these rhymes! Seems like he can intimidate and ruin his enemies! Got Lil’ One The Champ on tha 3rd verse, here… Nice rhymes, but I gotta get used ta his voice… My Rating: 4.5

19. “Turn Up” Feat. Boss Action
Nice lil’ Out The Mud Entertainmentness, here! 808 beat! >>> Not really a fan of tha start from you, here… It sounds like this iz goin’ a Rick Ross-like route wit tha flow and beat… LOL @ this “molly”-popped Ready on tha hook! I lol’d, but not really a fan of you makin’ “a movie” on tha “iPhone!” Oh yea, Ready? You on this shit, but I finally got a high 15 dayz ago! That’s one step closer ta you! Beware, lol!! Okay, this iz really on a braggin’ level. I’d rather it be specifically about Gates than braggin’ ‘bout how much shit you got… But, I guess things are good. I’m gettin’ throwed-off while reviewin’ this okay/below-average song, here… Where’s Boss Action? Here he iz, on tha 3rd verse, comin’ through wit some nice, drug-related shit! Good ta have tha kitchen hot wit this boiling-hot CD! My Rating: 3.2

20. “Ain’t Tryna Be Ya Mane” Feat. Savage
Gotta luv tha title! Perfect perspective fa Savage, too! Him doin’ tha track, here, gon prolly make me luv it!! >>> Whoa @ anotha hot-ass beat start, outta nowhere!! A computerized-Savage on tha hook, here… No gayness on tha voice, here!! Strictly catchiness!! 99% of dudes who put a voice effect on their voice sound like a dude masturbatin’ in anotha dude’s ear, havin’ an orgasm and shit! But wit Sav, there’s no orgasmic gayness here! Even down ta bein’ a dad, how I always complain about these early dads: No complainin’ wit Savage! He’s, just, perfect in every area!! Good shit you got on tha 1st verse, Ready! You just comin’ through wit dat catchiness on this beat… Then again, a female song when it’s rage against Gates? Ahh, tha “phone” shit on tha 2nd verse… I get thrown-off, but dat don’t mean it’s affecting how I feel about this joint… My Rating: 4.6

21. “Vice Versa” Feat. Mista Cain & Z.C. Juice
So, Zion City Juice decided to put his name as an acronym, now? Interesting… More Ready family (Jay Scalez) on tha beat! >>> Nice beat, here; this CD’s pretty consistent and shit ain’t stoppin’!! Tha hook’s pretty nice! Hearin’ Mista on tha 1st verse, and “on tha road,” doin’ shows? Can’t picture it, since you gotta be a lil’ big ta do dat, right? Okay verse… Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse, and tha beat just takes you ova!! Just spittin’ dat raw shit fa tha streetz!! Time fa tha Zion City Juice on tha 3rd verse, here… Still comin’ through wit dat “gangsta shit!” My Rating: 4.5

22. “Fuck Sum’n” Feat. Q-Red
Ooohhh……, Q-Red on tha track and feature!! >>> Sounds good wit a pitched-Q-Red on tha hook? Y’all must really be enjoyin’ this, but I thought this was battlin’? What’s wit tha dick action in tha “pussy,” here? Here you are on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit some catchy shit fa this kinda song… LOL, tellin’ “Q-Red” dat tha “mollies” are here, lol! Now, things gon be crazier!! Thought there’d be a Q-Red verse, but it’s you on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit more of your fucktastic rhymes… I have ta admit ta Q-Red, too: I FINNA BE AN UNCLE!!! My Rating: 4.5

23. “Take It From Me” Feat. Lil’ Pokey & Madd Marvin
Got some Wodie on tha beat, here! I wonder how tha features gon turn out, here…? >>> Has a lil’ bit of a mainstream twist ta this beat, but still sounds interestin’… Good shit you got goin’ on wit tha hook, here… Oh, not-purchased beat? Hearin’ Wodie’s tag throughout this, multiple times… Because I know tha deal wit repeatin’ tags, I won’t criticize it. So, wit that bein’ said, Pokey’s on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit nice shit, here; I can dig it… Here you are on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit your shit… I’ve heard it all from you… Wonder how you always have true luv fa “Mista Cain”? Like, where does tha luv begin? Wasn’t stalking involved? Obsessiveness? Trillions of “phone” calls? Anyway, got dat Madd Marvin on tha 3rd verse, and I’m definitely feelin’ how he comin’ through on this one!! Sounds like a southern version of Meek Mill, here!! My Rating: 4.5

24. “Da Dumbest” Feat. Jimi Jump
Keepin’ these interestin’ features goin’ wit Yella On Tha Beat on tha track, here! >>> Beat sounds nice; all these beats startin’ ta blend in wit each other… Again, anotha dark beat, and you got shit on lock fa tha streetz, here, wit your rhymes! Tha hook sounds pretty nice; shout out ta Jimi Jump, comin’ through wit his catchy voice and shit ta offer… Even got him on tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through wit dat champ-status shit! We finally have a shorter song than usual, this time… My Rating: 4.4

25. “Crazy” Feat. Turk
“Crazy” that there’s no producer listed, lol? But, I’m anticipated!! >>> Thought it was G-Motivation’s beat tag in tha beginning, based off that chirp…? Anyway, likin’ tha hook! Turk, now fallin’ into a world of “mollies,” be fulla dem “mollies!” Definitely catchiness comin’ outta his mouth! We got him on tha 1st verse, here, comin’ through wit some shit ta make err-body feel good, right? We got you on tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through wit all this “poppin’,” lol. Thought Dead Game got your back, here, it’s still “B.O.W. Ent.” representin’, it sounds like… My Rating: 4.4

26. “Eat That Ham”
This random saying ta end this CD off’s definitely a way ta close out on top? 808 doin’ tha track, here… >>> Whoo @ tha crazy-soundin’ beat start!! Much betta than tha previous 808 beat!! I’ll always remember how you said this title in Jiggaman’s “Get Loose”, from last year! That was a classic collaboration wit Level; good job wit doin’ that one, Ready! As far as this hook, definitely catchy! Love how you threatenin’ tha haterz!! Tha 1st verse sounds good, too; you strictly deliverin’ this shit!! Tha 2nd verse sounds tight, too; trapped in your music, here!! My Rating: 4.6

Overall: Well, looks like you basically won against Gates, here!! Sometimes, I like him betta, but it looks like you have betta reviewz. You even had almost double tha amount of songs he had, even though you went over tha CD length limit. Congratulations, Ready, fa gettin’ a “W” against Stranger Than Fiction, here! But, I still don’t know about your new money name, though! Either way, goodbye, current reviewz!

Oh yea, Ready, remember Zeus from Jigga House Records? Well, it was his birthday last Saturday. Look how I celebrated it:
Talk about dedication!! Driving three hours just to get a pic in front of tha Zeus building, like he did!!

Review #1,318: Kevin Gates "Stranger Than Fiction"

Reviewed on 8.31.2013 (Review #1,318)

Before I get into tha next review, I gotta say, R.I.P. & happy birthday to tha very-special, Sheen~Marie, from Louisiana, who was beaten & burned ta death, back on February 19, 2011! Now then, in other news, I just found out yesterday dat I finna be an uncle in 2014!! Talk about gettin’ up there!! Just like this next person, who I finna review: Kevin Gates Stranger Than Fiction, wit dat Bread Winners Association! Let’s see how I gon feel about Gates, Summer 2K13 style! Up early doin’ this review ‘cause durin’ tha afternoon, I finna go with my stepmom to Brooklyn, later today! EDIT: They left without me 'cause they thought I'd be bored, smh! Start Time: 8:36 AM | End Time: 9:32 AM

01. “4 Legs & A Biscuit”
Mmm… Like I mentioned yesterday, I tied my peak “weight” (like your song) from 2007, yesterday: 117! Let’s see how delicious we start this CD off… >>> Likin’ tha beat, here! Sounds like a new start, since school’s starting again—not that I’m enrolled or anything, but this gets my All Or Nuthin’ excitement back, outta nowhere! Really feelin’ tha lyrics, here; glad they didn’t keep you in “jail!” But, will you grow back tha dreads? I like how you randomly said tha title… My Rating: 4.6

02. “Get ‘Em”
Here we continue! >>> I like how this sounds, but this hook sounds a lil’ mainstream-brainwashed fa me… Really, on a sellout level wit tha hook’s lyrics! Example: Tha “I’ma let them rubber bands go” part sounds like you rapped it like a pathetic mainstream rapper (e.g., Travis Porter or someone). Also, tha “Michael Jackson … Thriller” reference’s sellout-y for me. 50/50 wit tha lyrics, wit tha 1st verse… Tha 2nd verse ain’t too bad, either… It’s like, will we eva hear a Guss beat again, or did he get kicked to tha curb? Despite my criticism, I still really like this for a good rating. My Rating: 4.0

03. “MYB” Feat. Starlito
Let’s see our first collaboration on this CD… >>> Ooh, likin’ this beat start a lot!! I like how it sounds like you’re rappin’ this in a grimy, dark, tip-toe way; really feelin’ how you sound on here! Great job wit tha 1st verse; very interestin’! Starlito on tha 2nd verse, and it sounds like a jail friend/close friend/family member of yours, or somethin’? Just like you, they sound good, too! Hearin’ you on tha 3rd verse, here, still soundin’ hoarse and great. You even “got [someone] pregnant”? Sounds crazy, but after findin’ out that I gon be an uncle from yesterday, from my gonna-be-20-year-old-sister-in-law, it’s crazy! My Rating: 4.6

04. “White Tan”
Looks like a summer anthem? >>> Surprisingly, anotha nice beat, here! I really like how you’re rappin’ on this; sounds like you’re on a treadmill, Gates!! Hearin’ tha hook, and this sounds catchy fa a… drug song? Tha 2nd verse’s startin’ ta sound good, too; whoo, gotta feel this! Also, nice length on these songs; they’re not too long and not on a boring level! My Rating: 4.5

05. “430am”
Was up at this time almost tha other night, watchin’ Fear Factor! Let’s hear what we got, here! >>> Wow, you still say, “bruh,” and not make 100% Louisiana music? Sounds like you moved past tha word “bruh,” but it’s great that you still say it! Nice conversation in tha beginning; sounds like you got a lotta “love,” here! Hearin’ tha 1st verse, and wow, you exploded outta nowhere!! Definitely nice how that conversation got you pissed!! Now, onto tha hook: Nice wit tha times! Tha 2nd verse sounds good, too; a lil’ bit of catchy vocals and a flow and then, tha yellin’, lol! My Rating: 4.4

06. “Die ‘Bout It”
Dark title, with a length of 4:30; hope it pays off… >>> Feelin’ tha beat start; wow, beat’s progressin’ to be good durin’ tha 1st verse! And, here you are wit some consistent, dark, street rhymes, throughout tha 1st verse!! Who knows, one day, you may do a collaboration wit me, since I neva “lie in [my] rhymes!” Feelin’ tha hook, too; such strength in tha word, “die!” Ehh, you’re swervin’ wit tha quality, here, wit tha “bands.” I dunno… Okay, you’re swervin’ in tha right direction wit all tha other rhymes right after; catchy, alternatin’ flow!! Likin’ tha intro to tha 3rd verse, as you’re hangin’ wit this “Stroke” dude, whoeva they are… Well, no verse, just an outro of you talkin’… Ehh, okay. My Rating: 4.4

07. “Strokin’”
Speakin’ of… >>> Not really into tha beat tag, at first, especially since there’s not much hype in this beat… Well, startin’ ta pick up toward tha middle of tha 1st verse… Sounds like some good rhymes, here, fa grabbin’ a virgin? Catchy hook wit tha beat, too; I like how you say tha title. You must’ve gotten a female wit this hook by now, right? Shout out ta you fa havin’ “a lotta tattoos.” Could just imagine what I looked like if I had a bunch of “tattoos”? Didn’t realize how much you were still into sex, lol… My Rating: 4.3

08. “Thinkin’ With My Dick” Feat. Juicy J
Speakin’ of tha ending of tha previous review, once again… Wonder if this gon be good… >>> Feelin’ tha beat start, as it reminds me of tha intro to Pretty Lights & Talib Kweli “Around The Block”, a lil’! Nice job wit tha random hook, here. Kinda reminds me of how J Buc was like on his “Stuck Up”: “I don’t wanna hear shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!!” Yea, hearin’ tha 1st verse, and it sounds like some influence from that song!! A lil’ catchy, but I’ll always think of “Stuck Up”! Got Juicy J on tha 2nd verse; couldn’t exactly tell it was him, at first. Glad he don’t sound wack wit a wack flow or whateva! Good shit, too! Nice collaboration, overall, even wit tha “Stuck Up” sound-alike! My Rating: 4.4

½time: Wow, very good CD so far, Gates!! Despite you bein’ bigger than before, this CD has a 4.4 score for my CD rating, currently!!!! Really feelin’ these new producers on tha tracks, as well as what you’re bringin’ to tha table!! Keep up tha great work!!

09. “Change On Me” Feat. Percy Keith & Mista Cain
Let’s see what kinda collaboration we got here, vs. tha mainstream, Juicy J one… >>> Okay, beat’s a lil’ on a typical, mainstream rap sound… Good rhymes, includin’ how tha beat gets quiet, here and there. You said it: “Born in 1986;” that makes sense ‘cause peeps that you first rapped with, such as Yung Sicka, are born in ’85… Tha hook sounds good, but I can’t understand all these ‘close friends’ and “neva change on me”-type lyrics… Almost thought it was you on tha 2nd verse, but it’s Percy Keith. Sounds good fa this; blends in wit you, a lil’, though some of tha flow’s soundin’ like that boring, mainstream-like shit that’s out now (wit tha background ad-libs)… What about, “Ya Boy Earl, you betta not change on me”? Did I miss hearin’ him? Now, random rapper, Mista Cain, on tha 3rd verse; where’d he come outta, here? Ehh, why “bitch”-related rhymes? Sounds like somethin’ for tha streetz that turned into somethin’ fa tha hoes wit tha 3rd verse; kinda threw thangz off… My Rating: 3.8

10. “Tiger”
Like Katy Perry, will this have some “tiger”-like, “Roar” controversy, lol? >>> Damn, anotha beat tag in tha beginning? When will that faggy trend go away?? Sounds like tha other beat, only wit betta sounds… Hearin’ tha 1st verse, and it sounds good wit how you’re comin’ through wit some nice rhymes, here! Ooh, tha hook, I’m definitely feelin’ how you comin’ through as “a tiger!!” They need ta photoshop your picture on a “tiger,” Gates!! Tha 2nd verse sounds pretty consistent, too, strictly deliverin’ these rhymes!! My Rating: 4.3

11. “Smiling Faces”
>>> Likin’ tha intro wit you sayin’, “bruh.” Oh, just as I was gettin’ into tha 1st verse, you’re gettin’ nice and hoarse again, wit how you’re comin’ through wit tha great delivery!! Tha hook sounds catchy; sounds a lil’ random, at first, but it’s catchy, especially how you say tha title. I like how tha 2nd verse’s soundin’, wit this smart person, “psychology,” and all dat! Whoa @ tha yellin’ durin’ tha 2nd verse; great anxiety, but a touch of strange wit how you comin’ through wit it! I think it’s a real good thing, though! Shows how different you are wit screamin’ on tha track! My Rating: 4.2

12. “Patrick Swazy” Feat. Dreco
I dunno about a name on tha title, but, I hope this feature pays off… >>> Ehh, boring, mainstream-soundin’ beat, here, but tha hook picks it up, as it’s catchy! “Patrick Swazy!” I like how you deliver this, but it’s got a “Bandz A Make Her Dance” flow on tha hook, here… Will Miley Cyrus twerk ta this? I say, yeah! Tha 1st verse sounds pretty good; nothin’ much ta say… Huh? You said, “dreads,” on tha hook? You ain’t got them, but I wish you did!! Okay, here’s this Dreco dude on tha 2nd verse, and I ain’t feelin’ this at all. This iz what tha bullshit mainstream music sounds like, wit tha flow and tryna-sound-good lyrics… Only a lil’ bit of it’s aight, but that verse ain’t fa me… LOL @ you sayin’ “Dreco” on tha 3rd verse, Gates… Okay, great job wit tha verse, but it’s startin’ ta get strange wit tha really-fast rappin’, semi-yellin’, and a ton of random lyrics! My Rating: 3.7

13. “Snake Nigga” Feat. Migos
Still don’t know these features; where did they come from? >>> Ehh, what’s up wit tha Mike WiLL Made It-like beat tag in tha beginning? Unoriginal, already!! Oh God, WTF?! A “money” hook, mixed wit this Ca$h Out-like flow?! Pathetic hook!!! Wow, major thumbs down ta Migos on tha feature!! Ugh, tha 1st verse, too!! How can you even put “mama” in a song like this? People need ta stop bein’ mama’s boyz!! I always remember when I was 12, and I asked my cousin—who was younger than me—for where my mom was. He was like, in a thug perspective (‘cause he lives in NYC), “Why?” From there, it’s almost like, uncool ta bring up your mom in shit. Now, I’m hearin’ it from peeps like these peeps in their 20s?!? Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse, Gates, and, at least, you have some tight rhymes, here… I’ll give you your props… Noooooooooo……………, again, this Migos dude’s on tha 3rd verse, too?! Did a knife go down someone’s throat, yet? Bet those brainwashed, people who flash money that ain’t got it prolly bump this song on repeat, smfh!! This almost feels like it was Migos song featuring Kevin Gates ‘cause of tha two verses and hook from him. Doesn’t sound like somethin’ you claim as ‘your song,’ Gates! You should be ashamed that you included this on here!!! My Rating: 1.1

14. “Careful”
Ugh, can I recover from that, with no features?! >>> Whew, back to normal!! Feelin’ tha beat, and it sounds like you’re startin’ tha 1st verse off nicely! LOL, tha hook sounds a lil’ cheesy wit tryna “be careful,” but it’s good, either way, wit how you’re comin’ through wit it! Nice 2nd verse, too; keep my interest up! Nice outro, too… My Rating: 4.0

15. “Money Magnet”
Not my kinda title, so let’s see if you can hold it down by yourself… >>> Boring, mainstream-like sound, here, on tha beat… Your rhymes ain’t bad on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit some street shit. Tha hook sounds a lil’ catchy, but c’mon wit tha “money” obsession! I dunno how serious I can take some of this shit—not sayin’ you’re not real. You’re real, but as far as dudes takin’ this shit serious. I bet they prolly quotin’ this or somethin’: “I’m a money magnet; I’m a money magnet.” LOL, was that a chicken sound in tha beginning of tha 2nd verse, lol? Either way, nice 2nd verse… My Rating: 3.5

16. “Don’t Know What To Call It”
What’s wit this title again?? >>> Disgusting beat tag shit in tha beginning… How many songs you gon have wit this title/topic? Hook’s okay; it’s not like I haven’t heard it… Tha 1st verse has a lil’ bit of a catchy vocal effect in it and then, you took it off. LOL, if only other rappers listened… Good rhymes, but you speedin’ up wit tha rhymes outta nowhere… This shit was way better before your mainstream appeal. Sounds like you took one of your “Don’t Know What To Call It” songs and turned it into a mainstream vibe. I mean, listen to this beat, mixed wit how you comin’ through on tha hook… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse, and it sounds good, so far… Ehh, not tha best song fa me, overall. My Rating: 3.4

17. “Angels”
>>> Likin’ tha consistent rhymes fa tha start, here… I hear a hook, here and there and then, it’s back to tha verses… I like how you got angry—but faster—toward tha ending verse… Kinda gay that you ended it with, “…A name for it, but I don’t know what ta call it.” Ehh, kinda a random way ta end this CD, but it’s still pretty good. My Rating: 3.6

Overall: Thought this was an excellent CD!! Kinda got weaker toward tha near-end, which prevented your CD from gettin’ four stars from me. Next time, think about lettin’ certain features in!

Review #1,317: Lil' Cali a.k.a. Cali Pachino "Rappin' N Trappin' (Hosted by DJ Ya Boy Earl)"

Reviewed on 8.30.2013 (Review #1,317)

Was ‘bout ta take a break from tha reviewz fa a lil’ bit, but I got my hands on somethin’, just now: Lil’ Cali a.k.a. Cali Pachino Rappin’ N Trappin’ (Hosted by DJ Ya Boy Earl)!! And, I wouldn’t let tha day go by without reviewin’ it ‘cause today’s Cali’s birthday!! Happy birthday, once again!! Looks like things are goin’ great for ya! Was wondering, did you get your awards in tha mail from me, back in January? Hope so… Now then, let’s get to this! Not a Yz’Gyz Entertainment release, but it’s a UTP Records release, thanx ta Juvenile! Start Time: 3:08 PM | End Time: 4:05 PM

01. “Rappin’-N-Trappin’ (Intro)”
Intro, here, produced by Mouse On Tha Tricky-Tricky-Track!! >>> Feelin’ tha beat Mouse produced, here! Feelin’ tha rhymes, Cali; strictly stayin’ on ya grind!! Oh, outta nowhere, Ya Boy Earl came in; forgot he hostin’! Good lil’ appearance from him while you’re deliverin’ tha nice hook! Reminds me of your “How I’m Coming” intro track on tha Enemy Of The State CD! Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse, and yea, you givin’ “it to ‘em raw!” Great job providin’ this fa us, Cali! And yea, gotta feel Earl on tha 2nd hook, too! Ya gotta “feel this!!” Keepin’ thangz goin’ wit tha 3rd verse, keepin’ “it G!” Nice lil’ 3rd part from Ya Boy Earl on tha 3rd hook, here! When will it be, “What up, FrankieThaLuckyDog?” My Rating: 4.4

02. “MLK” Feat. Juvenile
Ooh, this looks like it gon be interestin’, especially wit J Buc on tha beat!! >>> Really feelin’ tha beat start!! J Buc holdin’ tha sounds down!! Yea, Juve sounds great on tha hook, “Martin Luther King” style!! Wow, tha Buc beat & Juve go together great!! I already know dat Cali gon hold down tha 1st verse, here… Yup, “Rihanna” style, lol! Keepin’ shit goin’ wit tha 2nd verse, too, Cali; gotta feel how you comin’, like a “MLK,” Jr., Jr.!! An Earl outro?? Fuck yeah!! Gotta “put” this CD “in!!” Looks like Earl got his “dream” of “a nice car & hoes.” Currently, my dream iz to get hired at MTV/VH1, or tha video world, real soon! I’m tryna my best ta get out there wit my video countdowns! Cali, you gon see one of those video countdowns that you’re in soon! My Rating: 4.7

03. “Street Money” Feat. Juvenile & Mouse On Tha Track
Keepin’ it goin’ wit a great collaboration like this, as well as Mouse on tha beat & feature!! >>> Ooh, reminds me of tha previous beat; nice sound, once again!! Tha hook sounds jammin’; can’t deny it, though I’ve been hatin’ “money” titles/songs ‘cause I got robbed from someone who claimed they ‘bout “money!” But, good shit on tha 1st verse, Cali; you make this shit sound like fun… Here’s Juve on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit some N.O. rhymes fa tha 2K13!! Now, it’s eight years and a day after Katrina! Oh, forgot that was Mouse on tha hook; this joint just breezed on by! But yea, Mouse did an excellent job wit tha hook ‘cause his voice iz awesome!! Cool as fuck on tha track!! LOL, anti-Earl, here, as there was no spoken outro! My Rating: 4.6

04. “Dat Dick (Remix 2)” Feat. Mystikal, Juvenile & J Buc
Coupla things: 1.) It’s tha remix (well, 2nd remix, since Juve’s now on it)!! 2.) J Buc’s on tha hook! Of course, this beat’s by Buc, and you already know, I know about this one! Tha original version, that I was bumpin’ durin’ my internship last year, iz on one of those video countdowns I’m preparin’, as well as “Me & My Thugs”. Lookin’ forward ta dat bein’ completed! I filmed my hosting parts in Kings Park, NY, in a nice abandoned building! And, speaking of this song, I put tha clean title on tha video countdown’s scene sheet, and I showed this girl that I found, that used to call into my favorite radio station, back in 2000 & 2001. I met her three dayz ago, and she was like, “‘Dat Stick’? What’s that?” LOL! But yea, neva got ta hear Juve’s part, so lemme see what he got goin’ on, here… >>> I like how he sounds on this. Mystikal sounded like an erupting dragon, spittin’ lava at anything in his path. Meanwhile, Juve felt like he provided his “dick” correct fa tha track and tha hoes! Once again, anotha good remix! I still liked Mouse’s original verse, though… My Rating: 4.6

05. “I Be” Feat. Level
Featuring a previous birthday boy, whose birthday was two dayz ago. Lookin’ forward ta hearin’ this, wit Mouse on tha beat, again!! >>> Wow, anotha anthem; luv these beats!! How can you turn a title like this (only four characters) into somethin’ so catchy? Well, have Level repeat it in tha hook; gotta luv it!! Here’s Level on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit his automatic-soundin’ rhymes; nothin’s eva a challenge! Here you are on tha 2nd verse, almost soundin’ like Juve, lol… Gotta luv how you keep gettin’ success, Cali!! BTW, what happened to your Twitter followers? They’re, like, 10,000 less than last year (currently, at around 7,700)? I was showin’ my rappin’ granny dat, yesterday, lol… Here’s Level, comin’ through wit you on tha 3rd verse, comin’ through wit what y’all “be” doin’… Great back-n-forth verse parts! I wish Level had more of a focus on creatin’ success wit me, though, but many think I’m useless and an afterthought. :( My Rating: 4.6

06. DJ Ya Boy Earl Speaks
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dyin’ ta hear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >>> Attackin’ tha F-Boyz!! Fuck boyz!! Fake boyz!! Great job, Earl; glad ta hear you!! My Rating: N/A

07. “By The Bundle” Feat. Max Minelli & Mouse On Tha Track
Got mo heat wit Mouse on tha feature & beat!! Props ta him followin’ me on Twitter today! >>> Whoo!! Mo heat wit this beat!!! Gotta luv tha cough syrup-soundin’ vibe, here, lol! Definitely feelin’ all tha shit Mouse has “by tha bundle!” Kick-ass hook, only by Mouse! And, here you are on tha 1st verse, Cali, comin’ through wit a great hu$$le!! Got Max on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through, feelin’ good; can’t deny tha big dawgs! Speakin’ of “smokin’ Cali,” I got ta feel a high for tha 1st time two weeks ago today!! I have ta say, bein’ in a dream that’s reality feels like hypnotized fun, ya feel me?! My Rating: 4.6

08. “On!”
Exclamation point title!! Mouse on tha beat!! >>> Yea, Earl in tha beginning, ova this hot-soundin’ beat! Thanx fa clearin’ up how “trappin’” iz, but I dunno about quotin’ Meek Mill and his “Levels” shit… Then again, hearin’ Earl on an intro = drinkin’ some good fruit punch, or somethin’ that makes tha day, lol! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse, and you deliverin’ some nice rhymes on this beat… Oh, just went back ta Earl, strictly rippin’ apart tha F-“boyz,” lol! “Sellin’ grams outta a zip,” lol? Cali on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit some “peanut butter.” Meanwhile, for lunch, I had ten small slices of turkey, five slices of cheese & a Chipotle roll! I weighed myself, and I was 117!! I tied my record, back in ’07, on your birthday, Cali!! Eatin’ like a bigger dawg now, lol! And, Earl did a nice job wit tha outro, though I consider this an album, not “mixtape”—well, kinda 50/50… My Rating: 4.4

½time: Wow, Cali, you keepin’ tha flava up!!! Currently, you’re at a 4.6 for tha CD rating, currently!!!!! I was gonna take a nap, like I usually do durin’ tha afternoon, but this CD iz keepin’ me awake, for tha moment! Your birthday can’t go by without this review, ya feel me?!

09. “Nasty” Feat. Kevin Gates
Guess ‘cause of Gates, we’re re-creatin’ a buzz, here, by puttin’ this on here, again? And, it’s DJ Yung Stylez on tha beat. “Yung” in his name? Thought it was just DJ Stylez, but whateva… I think I like this one betta than when I first heard it, a lil’ bit. My Current Rating: 4.4

10. “Pow!” Feat. Versey
Yes, more exclamations on my reviewin’-ass!! Mouse wit anotha beat, here… >>> Off to a calm start wit a lil’ bit of trumpets goin’ on… Ooh, this sounds different wit tha hook; props ta Versey fa providin’ somethin’ catchy wit you on tha hook!! “Pow!!” Nice job wit tha 1st verse, Cali; this sounds like one of your next hit songs!! I gon consider/co-sign it!! Tha 2nd verse sounds good, too; eight bars? Nice shit! Well, here’s tha rappin’ Versey on tha 3rd verse, and it sounds good. Sounds like a lotta random shit goin’ on wit tha rhymes, and it’s even more than eight bars… Well, 12; I guess that’s what it was, but you get so inta tha song that you lose track… My Rating: 4.7

11. “U Pussy”
Ooh, Beat Bangers on tha beat (B-Bangers? Tha Max Minelli “Angel Sing” dudes?)! Lookin’ forward ta hearin’ this attitude!! >>> Good vibe, here; can’t even picture it bein’ a mainstream perspective ‘cause your shit bangs, Cali!! Got you on tha 1st verse, comin’ through flockin’ wit tha “chicken on [your] lap,” lol! This kinda sounds like a familiar song, but this sound sounds on a 2010s tip… Either way, nice hook; call out dem P.A.N.’z, Cali!! Nice job wit tha 2nd verse, too; to me, you got buku “Facebook” luvaz, not hataz! My Rating: 4.3

12. “Thinking ‘Bout Me” Feat. Young Juve & Darren Hanible
A Mouse-produced joint, here; let’s see how this gon go wit these features…! >>> Was almost thrown off by tha beginning/hook, but that’s Snoop Dogg “Sexual Eruption”, and since it was when Nu$$ie was still alive, we’ll give it an exception. So, lol @ tha hook; I know they definitely “thinking ‘bout [you]!” Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse, and you makin’ tha mood sound good on this beat… Hope tha features don’t fuck it up; let’s see what tha 1st of two newbies has ta offer… Hearin’ tha 1st feature on tha 2nd verse, and it sounds like Bow Wow… Ehh, okay lyrics; it’s okay. I won’t hate on it… Tha 3rd verse iz a lil’ worse fa me… Not really into these newbies, as this iz more on today’s mainstream levels… Kinda long fa what you guys call a “mixtape.” Really? 5:34? My Rating: 3.6

13. “Yo Body” Feat. Juvenile
I think we might need some Juve? Mike Maven doin’ tha production, here… >>> Tha beginning sounds like somethin’ on a full-mainstream level… Yuck, not feelin’ tha hook at all from this mysterious singer that sounds like T-Pain in tha beginning!! Sounds like an album cut! If you feel this iz a “mixtape,” you prolly should’ve saved this for an actual album! I would’ve skipped this if it was some random rapper, but I gon do tha full review ‘cause it’s you… Hearin’ Juve on tha 1st verse, and it’s okay; he sets tha mood, but this ain’t my kinda song at all… Your part on tha 2nd verse sounds good fa what you spittin’ fa tha bitches; can’t deny you, at least, but I ain’t feelin’ tha song, overall! How ‘bout some “Dat Dick”s & Mouse productions? My Rating: 1.4

14. “My Bitch” Feat. Skip
Will this be betta? SelfMade Mafia on tha production! >>> Ehh, scared me a lil’ wit tha voice effect on your voice on tha hook, as well as this mainstream-soundin’, typical-soundin’, in-tha-trap-soundin’ beat… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse, and it sounds catchy; sounds like an anthem for tha bitches, but everything can be betta wit tha production! Hearin’ Skip on tha 2nd verse, and this iz okay fa what it iz… Sounds like he anticipatin’ ta “pop” someone, when this ‘pose ta be ‘bout a female… Not tha best combination, here… My Rating: 2.9

15. “Mo Money” Feat. Curren$y & Juvenile
A Mike WiLL Made It beat, like your “Itching”, lol! BTW, they fucked up on tha back cover: “Nad” for “And”, lol? >>> Hearin’ Curren$y on tha 1st verse, and things sound good… Nice verse from him, supplyin’ his consistent rhymes… Tha hook sounds nice wit its slightly-quiet background. Still, I think you can get 100% original beats on here, Cali! Startin’ ta sound like a mixed-tape, now… Got Juve comin’ through on tha 2nd verse… Lots of rhymes, lol! Feelin’ tha consistency! Got you comin’ through on tha 3rd verse, comin’ through wit nice rhymes that I like hearin’. Glad you holdin’ yaself down! My Rating: 3.7

16. “Go” Feat. Turk & 3D Na’Tee
Lookin’ forward ta hearin’ this ta end this CD off, though Doughboy Beatz on tha track? Sounds like a jacked/internet producer…? >>> This has that mainstream, in-tha-trap sound to it, and I’m feelin’ tha hook… Good shit you spittin’ on tha 1st verse, strictly comin’ through as a now-29-year-old gangsta! “They go when I say, ‘Go!’” Likin’ tha hook, once again! Turk on tha 2nd verse? Guess I should put him above Na’Tee, since we gotta save tha best fa last! Catchy rhymes from Mr. Turk, here; feelin’ tha grimy saliva comin’ outta his mouth, here, lol! Ooh, Na’Tee did that “tha queen, biiiiiiiiiiiiiitch” intro again, like in “No Love”!! Gotta anticipate her, and yea, she’s got one of tha best verses on this CD!! I luv her fast rappin’; doesn’t sound cheesy like Gates’ in-random-spots’ fast shit! Thumbs up fa her rhymes!! Strictly spittin’ AK-47-like shots at tha speakers!! My Rating: 4.6

Overall: #’s 12 – 15 were a lil’ iffy for me, but other than that, this CD was fire!!! Kicked major ass wit this b-day presentation, Cali!! Keep up tha great work!! BTW, no outro from Earl? Did he just fall off tha CD outta nowhere? Damn… :( Felt like I didn’t get my full dose of Earl on this Cali birthday!! But, I’m sure more’ll be available in tha future!! Keep up tha great work!!
