Review #1,721: S.A.C. Mafia "Socca Ballin'"

Reviewed on 4.30.2017 (Review #1,721)

I ain’t expect to work 10 hours on both weekend dayz, so I have to squeeze this review in before I go to sleep… Congrats to my cousin, Jacqueline, for havin’ a daughter today, as well! Here goes my next review in my Louisiana Reviewz Marathon: S.A.C. Mafia Socca Ballin’, released in 1998 on Untouchable Records & was produced by Sinista & T-Bone! FYI: S.A.C. Mafia iz Sess 4-5 & Dumo; what up, Sess? I see you! We gon meet up soon, during one of these upcoming trips I’m makin’ to Louisiana! Start Time: 8:30 PM | End Time: 9:46 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

KLC on tha track! >>> Sounds like a nice lil’ hook and beat, here, always keepin’ it street… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ good, here… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, just like y’all “daily routine”: spit rhymes! And, tha 3rd verse iz here, soundin’ nice, too… My Rating: 3.9

18. “Guilty ‘Til Proven Innocent”
Mo B. Dick on tha track, here… >>> Tha beat & hook sound good, here; nice job… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s nice, too; your typical, street quality at its finest, here! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and y’all keepin’ it movin’; what else to say, here…? Tha 3rd verse iz here and tha 5-0-4 iz on top wit these reviewz, lately! My Rating: 4.1

19. “Fear”
Carlos Stephens did this one… >>> This sounds like a nice, eerie beat/hook, here! I’m feelin’ it! Too bad I have, like, no “fear,” these dayz! I explained it earlier in this review; gotta luv myself! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s nice, here; pretty gangsta—too gangsta, lol? It sounds like it’s delivered in such a quiet way, but tha gangsta aggression’s hidden in tha lyrics! Tha 2nd verse’s pretty nice, too; good shit, here… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 3rd verse and it’s soundin’ nice, as well… My Rating: 4.2

20. “Children Of The Corn” feat. Peaches
Endin’ wit a Mo B. Dick track… >>> Likin’ how tha intro be like, “Smokin’ on dat doulja…;” nice, gangsta-soundin’ track, here! Feelin’ how y’all comin’ through on tha 1st verse, too, as if gangsta music easy ta make! Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse and as calm as y’all sound, tha gangsta iz always there, in spirit! You can just feel it! And, Peaches on tha 3rd verse, here, slowly spittin’ some nice rhymes, surprisingly… Lol, what a way to end tha CD: “I got that sticky green stash,” and then, tha CD’s done! Crazy! My Rating: 4.3

Overall: There wasn’t much standout moments on this CD. Literally, err-thang was almost rated tha same and had a consistent, quality street vibe to it…

Review #1,718: Pimp Daddy "Still Pimpin'"

Reviewed on 4.27.2017 (Review #1,718)

Happy late birthday to my great-grandma, Lena; she woulda been 96 today! With that bein’ said, let’s stay motivated! Here goes an old review for Pimp Daddy Still Pimpin’, released in 1993, around, on Cash Money Records & was produced by DJ Crack Out & Mannie Fresh! Start Time: 2:16 AM | End Time: 3:01 AM

01. “Pimp Out ’93 (Lil’ Bit)”
>>> Sounds nice; good shit, here… Diggin’ tha flow of tha bounce vibe ova this gangsta beat… My Rating: 4.1

02. “What Kind Of Nigga”
>>> Sounds nice, here, wit tha upbeat beat of “Paid In Full”… Sounds like a nice lil’ hook, too; good shit… Props for keepin’ it movin’, here, wit tha rappin’… My Rating: 4.2

03. Crack Out
>>> Just sounds like a nice lil’ beat interlude; always gotta keep it movin’! My Rating: N/A

04. “Got 2 Be Real #2”
>>> Nice hook; nice bounce vibe… Of course, you keepin’ tha bounce vibe goin’ wit tha 1st verse, here, strictly spittin’ rhymes and riggity-riggity-rhymes!! Talk about crazy, right before tha 3:00 mark! “Gots-2-be-ah, gots-2-be-ah, gots-2-be-ah, gots-2-be-ah;” crazy! My Rating: 4.3

05. “Break’em Off Some” feat. Lil’ Slim
>>> This “’94,” huh? I seen a bunch of different results for this online… Either way, this has a usual beat for tha ‘90s that sounds nice/calm… Good job wit tha hook and 1st verse, here… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse and it’s nice ta hear… Talk about breakin’ ‘em “off!” And, a nice 3rd verse, here; nice job wit tha collab… My Rating: 4.0

06. “Real-Ass Gangsta”
>>> Feelin’ tha gat-soundin’ imitations on tha 1st verse, here, doin’ ya thang… Feelin’ tha hook; luv when you scat tha words! Tha 2nd verse’s nice, too, as we quickly get through this… Nice 3rd verse wit how all these ages were tha times, back then… My Rating: 4.2

½time: Not just your usual bounce music but more on tha gangsta side, here; definitely nice! A 4.2-rated CD, here; good shit! Gotta keep it movin’!

07. “God Bless Tha Dead (R.I.P.)”
My Current Rating: 4.0

08. “No Bullshit Biiiiitch” feat. Lil’ Slim
!!! >>> I like how y’all praisin’ tha producers in tha beginning… If this was two decades later, I can see this bein’ a beat tag: “If Mannie Fresh ain’t do it, we can’t fuck wit it!” With that bein’ said, tha beat’s nice and gangsta, here, wit a lil’ upbeat vibe goin’ on throughout tha hook, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s nice ta hear… Diggin’ tha 2nd verse, as y’all spittin’ some X-rated shit; good shit… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 3rd verse and y’all keepin’ it goin’, here; props… My Rating: 4.1

09. “Do You C What I C”
>>> Sounds like a nice bounce track, but wit a gangsta vibe, once again… Nice lil’ hook, here; all about “shmokin’ dat weed,” ya dig? Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice, here… And, tha 2nd verse’s pretty nice wit how you continue to deliver them laidback, gangsta-tellin’, shmokin’-good rhymes, here… My Rating: 4.2

10. “Boo-Koo Bitches”
>>> Sounds catchy on tha hook, here; feelin’ tha bounce vibe in tha flow and beat… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice, here; just keep spittin’! Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ pretty nice, too… And, tha rest of this wit all these “bitches” iz nice, here… My Rating: 3.9

11. “Get ‘Em Up Niggaaaaa” feat. Ms. Tee
!!! >>> Sounds good; has a hidden Mardi Gras feel to it in tha background, here… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s nice; nothin’ ta really say, tho… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s nice, as well… Feelin’ all tha cities bein’ shouted out, here; so many ta name!! There’s mine: “New York niggaz, get ‘em up, my nigga!” Keepin’ it movin’ wit Ms. Tee on tha 2nd verse, here, spittin’ some nice, Jamaican-like rhymes, here; great collab… It’s like if Lady Saw was in tha N.O.! Lol, that’s tha first thang that came to my mind… Seems like this so long… My Rating: 4.1

12. “Hoeshit Ends ’94 Biiitch”
>>> A decent beat ta end thangz off with, that almost sounds like an outro in tha beginning, here… Yeah, just an outro; where’d tha “featuring Ms. Tee” come from? My Rating: N/A

Overall: Most of tha tracks had tha same vibe but it was a good, consistent vibe fa your Louisiana collection. Props to Pimp Daddy; wish there was more out there, today! But, we got this to enjoy…

Review #1,717: Beedy "Help The Bear (Hosted by Matt Stone)"

Reviewed on 4.26.2017 (Review #1,717)

Keepin’ tha reviewz goin’, my next one iz a lil’ newer than tha current reviewz I’ve been doin’. This next dude found me on Instagram and he’s from Leesville, LA. He goes by Beedy; he’s 26 and his latest project’s called Help The Bear (Hosted by Matt Stone), released on DMPWorld. Start Time: 8:24 PM | End Time: 8:49 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! 01. “Camera Krewe.”
With a period at tha end… Majbeatx on tha beat… >>> I’ono what ta make outta this hook, yet… My first reaction iz bullshit-soundin’ mainstream music so I gon have to see you show off some good, Louisiana talent… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds like you have a unique style… I like that “Canon/cannon” part on tha hook, too, thinkin’ ‘bout it… Now, it sounds like tha 2nd verse’s pretty gangsta, here… I have to say, there’s a mix of a lotta shit on this track… I’ll give it a pretty-good rating for my 1st listen, here… My Rating: 4.0

02. “New Pack, Who Dis?” feat. DMPJEFE
>>> Kinda sounds like a good beginning wit tha beat but I’ono about this hook… I’m not really feelin’ these voices throughout tha hook… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and even tho tha rappin’ kinda fast, I’m not too sparked by this… Tha lyrics don’t bring interest to me… If it’s not Louisiana content, I expect it to be spectacular… However, this just sounds like bullshit mainstream music ta me… If I wanted to hear music like this, I’d tune to tha radio or some shit, sadly… I shouldn’t have to take my time out to review bullshit mainstream music, ya dig? Tha other dude kinda on tha same level as you, here… My Rating: 2.5

03. “So Icy” feat. DMPJEFE
>>> A lil’ betta wit tha hook, here; kinda likin’ your rough voice, here… Nothin’ too poppin’ wit tha beat, as it doesn’t even sound like Louisiana music ta me… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds like you’re focused on this one… Some of tha lyrics are ehh—once you say, “Money,” I just wanna go to sleep! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and this sounds like a good verse… Consistent rhymin’ at its finest, here, even tho I don’t feel tha lyrics… Even more after tha hook, toward tha end? No more “money” bullshit! Even fadin’ out tha fast rappin’ at tha end… My Rating: 3.1

04. “Yo Favorite Rapper”
Calibaset on tha beat… >>> Kinda sounds a lil’ fun, here? Decent hook and beat, here… Hearin’ you on tha verse and even tho I can’t get into your lyrics, I kinda am feelin’ tha flow and vibe, here… My Rating: 3.7

05. “Back & Forth”
Q’Kaul on tha beat… >>> Just sounds decent; nothin’ crazy, here, wit tha verse and beat… My Rating: 3.0

½time: I’m glad this ain’t draggin’ and that tha tracks go by quick. This way, I’m not sittin’, bored, yawnin’… But, it sounds like you gotta find your own, unique outlet… I feel like you’re mixed into so many different styles at once, with this CD… A 3.3-rated CD, here; gotta do better!

06. “Get It Back” feat. A1Nino
RicoStylin’ on this beat… >>> Not too much into tha beat. It ain’t that bad but it ain’t nothin’ special to spark my interest… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds like some good shit to offer, here… So much to absorb at once, which iz good… Hearin’ tha hook about all this “money” shit and my interest just went down tha tubes… Damn @ tha start to tha 2nd verse! “Money” this; “money” that; fuck this verse! My Rating: 2.6

07. “Trap”
Sigma Beats, here… >>> Similar production, once again, but tha hook sounds nice… Hearin’ tha verse and it good; can’t complain wit how you comin’ wit it… Damn, no 2nd verse but over a minute long of a beat outro? A lil’ bit of a fail, here… My Rating: 2.9

08. “Bungalow”
Birdie Bands on this beat… Do I find it real funny that recently, artists Sigma & Birdy released their Drum N Bass-soundin’ track, “Find Me”. Now, both this and tha previous track, tha producers are Sigma Beats & Birdie Bands; wtf, lol, smh, fa’real?!? Trippy!! >>> Well, as much as I’m havin’ it bad at my job, just seein’ 3:26 on tha length (tha person’s birthday), this havin’ auto-tune & all “money” bullshit in tha beginning, I’m just skippin’ this! Fuck this! Next!! My Rating: 1.0

09. “Mad Maxx”
BigHeadOnTheBeat on this beat… >>> Decent beat; decent hook… I’m kinda feelin’ your character on tha verse, here… My Rating: 3.2

10. “Outro” feat. Gineaux & Bri Ailene
>>> I’ono why, but it reminds me of Floetry on tha hook, here? An okay beat but nothin’ to my interest… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds like you’re a lil’ aggressive fa this kinda track? Tha 2nd verse pretty nice wit all this “sellin’” shit and highs goin’ on… Could it be one of tha best verses on this CD? Not tha type I’d die for but tha type I’d give credit for… My Rating: 3.3

Overall: Didn’t go over too well… Gotta get your mind outta tha mainstream shithole ‘cause mainstream ain’t tha way to be! I’ll be undaground my whole life and have nothin’ but respect for tha unknown, not tryna sell out! Just avoid tha mainstream, money-type rappin’ and all those beats that sound like Future; you’ll be good…
