As
I continue to review, here goes my next one: Section Boyz Records Presents Lil’ Snap & Hackett Young N Reckless, from last year! I
actually don’t have a tracklist, so I gon have to just guess titles, as I
review this… Start Time: 6:44 PM | End Time: 7:37 PM
Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0
– 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!
I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long
as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and
then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a
song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6
rating, I pretty much really love it,
as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I
hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type
before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything
after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening
to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your
vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’
topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

“Came Back”
>>>
That dude with “you know I made tha beat” in their tag’s on tha beat, here
(online beat)… “You thought I was gone, but I came back…” iz tha beginning of
tha hook; nice lil’ hook, minus tha “big stacks” shit. Maybe, I’ll call this
“Came Back”? Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s not bad, here… I can
hear tha Baton Rouge
voice in tha rappin’, so my interest’s here… It’s an everyday struggle; who
knows when we’ll shine? Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s decent; can’t
complain too much… My Rating: 3.8
02.
“No More Problems”
>>>
Just sounds like an online beat, here… “No More Problems,” I should call this?
An okay hook but I can’t really fuck wit this “money” shit… Hearin’ tha 1st
verse and it’s decent; let’s see what’s next… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd
verse and it’s not bad, here, as well… My
Rating: 3.2
03.
“Monster” feat. Big Duce
>>>
Sounds a lil’ betta, here, between tha beat and how y’all comin’ through on tha
1st verse… No hook, here? Gon be tough fa me to pick a title… Well,
let’s just think of it as tha ‘90s: Last word said before tha hook/beat
interlude: “Monster”. As far as tha 2nd verse, dude “was born in
1991,” so I’m three years older than dude… Hearin’ tha consistent rappin’ and
it’s nice… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 3rd verse and dude pretty focused,
here; definitely feelin’ it! Dude on tha 3rd verse “Big Deuce”? My Rating: 3.8
04.
“Straight Gangsta”
>>>
“E.P. on tha muthafuckin’ track,” huh? Props fa gettin’ him ta produce… Beat’s
nice; hook’s nice, too… “Straight gangsta, this ain’t none of that club shit…;”
should I call this “Straight Gangsta”? Hearin’ tha 1st verse and
it’s not bad, here; good shit ta go through this beat… Hearin’ tha 2nd
verse and it’s soundin’ decent, too; props fa this, as it’s not bad… My Rating: 3.8
05.
“Just Do It”
>>>
Interestin’ beat start wit this cuttin’/mixin’? Diggin’ tha club feelin’ in this beat, here, as well
as tha 1st verse, here! Just luvin’ tha Baton Rouge dialogue in tha voice; dumb shit!
Tha hook’s pretty dope; definitely nice!! Club shit at its finest! “Just Do It”
should be tha title? Or, “Dumb In Here”? I’ono which one to pick… Hearin’ tha 2nd
verse and it’s nice, too; good shit! My
Rating: 4.4
06.
“Let It Go”
>>>
Vybe beat, lol? Really…? “Let It Go” as tha title? Decent hook… Tha 1st
verse ain’t bad, here; let’s keep it goin’… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse
and it ain’t bad, as well… My Rating: 3.1
07.
“Real Life Shit”
>>>
Decent beat…; I’m feelin’ tha Baton Rouge-soundin’ voice goin’ on in tha 1st
verse, here; sounds like depression? Sounds good ta hear… “Real Life Shit”;
should I call it that? Kinda feelin’ this struggle-like song… Hearin’ tha 2nd
verse and it sounds nice, too… My
Rating: 3.5
½time: So far, not too bad…
Mainly, decent, except for one tight song… A 3.7-rated CD, currently; let’s
keep it movin’!
08.
“Weed, Tabs & Dolla Signs”
>>>
Sounds like it gon be a Baton Rouge-soundin’ anthem, here, wit this “It’s fuck
a nigga” shit in tha beginning… Related to “F.A.N. Ent.?” “Only thing on my
mind iz weed, tabs & dolla signs;” nice hook! Luvin’ tha Baton Rouge sound! Should I call this “Weed,
Tabs & Dolla Signs”? Tha 1st verse’s pretty nice; luv how this
dude luvs “tabs;” damn! “I’m on #6;”
crazy! And, why’d dude say, “Nu$$ie,” at tha end of tha 1st verse?
Damn @ tha dickridin’! Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse and it’s
pretty dope; luvin’ tha hype! Tha ending was a producer’s tag but I couldn’t ID
it… My Rating: 4.5
09.
“Waddup”
>>>
This sounds like anotha hyped-up Baton
Rouge anthem, here! Hearin’ tha hook and it’s nice wit
all this “waddup” shit; I’ll call it “Waddup”! Hearin’ tha 1st verse
and it’s soundin’ nice, here; definitely feelin’ all tha energy! Hearin’ tha 2nd
verse and it’s pretty energetic, too; gotta luv it! Damn, only 2:45 in and
there’s 3:04 left! And, we got a 3rd verse, here; can’t tell who it
iz but this shit’s nice, all tha way! “A mill before I see 27?” Crazy… I’m
almost 29 and tha buzz just comes real
slowly, just so ya know… A 4th verse, here, soundin’ like a younger
dude, here… Lyrics are ehh; decent appearance… My Rating: 4.3
10.
“Everybody Want A Body” feat. Big Duce
>>>
Anotha five-minute track, here; can it last? Sounds like tha bass kinda strong,
here? Loud volume, a lil’? “Everybody Want A Body”? Hearin’ tha 1st
verse and I think it’s that Big Deuce dude, again… Likin’ tha “essay” rhyme…
Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse and it’s pretty nice, here… Here
comes tha 3rd verse, as tha dude wants to “turn ya basement into a
victim,” huh? Crazy… My Rating: 4.0
11.
“If I Had A Billion Dollars”
>>>
This one almost five minutes, too…; hmm… “If I Had A Billion Dollars” as this
title? Sounds like somethin’ to offer to tha people, here; decent… I have these
kinda motives fa “err-body” in Baton
Rouge, but it’s hard to get tha same in return, smh…
Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it ain’t bad… Not my favorite kindsa
tracks but it’s still listenable… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd
verse and it sounds a lil’ like Delwin The Krazyman or somethin’, here… Not bad
wit this somewhat-struggle song, here… And, tha beat slows down toward tha end,
here… My Rating: 3.4
12.
“Stupid, Retarded, Dumb”
>>>
Kickin’ it off wit “stupid, retarded, dumb;” can’t wait ta hear this! Finally,
an identified producer: Young Hustla a.k.a. In Da Lab With Huss! Hearin’ tha 1st
verse and it’s pretty dope! Gonna call this one “Stupid, Retarded, Dumb”; dope
hook! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and this iz tha shit, right chea!! When Baton Rouge music and
verses are unstoppable! Sounds like a smoother voice on tha 3rd
verse, here; dope! “Nigga, you…don’t want…to fuck…with me;” good shit! And, tha
verse gets rapped faster; definitely nice! My
Rating: 4.4
13.
“Duffy”
>>>
Not really anticipatin’ this intro; why this CD keep fluctuatin’ with tha
beats? Sounds like “Paranoid” or some Ty Dolla $ign shit… Well, hearin’ tha
hook and I feel like I like this a lil’ betta than my first impression… Should
I just call it “Duffy,” since y’all “hit tha club” like this? Kinda reminds me
of hyphy music from Cali
or somethin’, a lil’… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ aight…
Some of tha lyrics are ehh, but tha vibe’s pretty nice wit this beat… Then
again, why these tracks gotta be over five minutes long… Hearin’ tha 2nd
verse and it’s soundin’ consistent wit these rhymes… Almost sounds a lil’ like
a younger Kevin Gates wit tha voice? Have to say, I’m glad y’all keepin’ tha
word, “duffy,” alive; I do, too! And, tha hook repeats right after tha 2nd
verse? And, we have 2:10 left and it’s just a beat? Wow… Damn, like, almost 100
seconds of silence at tha end! My
Rating: 4.2
14.
“My City”
>>>
Sounds like a dope track… “I’m ridin’ around my city…;” I’m gonna call this “My
City,” aight? Nice hook… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice;
good shit goin’ on fa y’all “city,”
ya heard me? Tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ pretty nice; gotta luv tha
southern vibes! My Rating: 4.1
Overall: Some decent tracks, but
there was a nice selection, here… Y’all sound like y’all got y’all shit
together; keep up tha grind!
