R.I.P. Video #25: Black Roy

Recorded June 29, 2013.

A shooting turned fatal within tha 5200 block of Evangeline, last Thursday, June 20, 2013, at 12:30 AM. It's FrankieThaLuckyDog, broadcasting from tha woods in my backyard in Peckville, PA, lettin' y'all know that Anthony Jerard Jones, known in tha streetz of Baton Rouge as rapper Black Roy, was murdered. According to Baton Rouge Lt. Don Kelly, tha BRPD arrested 29-year-old Jermaine Ruffen, who investigators say was involved in a drug deal gone wrong with Jones and a woman. Ruffen opened fire at tha both of them, injuring tha woman and killing Jones; he then fled tha scene. When Ruffen fled, tha female victim told officers what had occurred. Ruffen threw an item away while escaping, turning out to be a stolen NOPD caliber that a K9 discovered. Tha service weapon was stolen from an off-duty officer's car in Baton Rouge, though never recovered. When police caught Ruffen, they charged him with first degree murder, attempted first degree murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, illegal possession of a stolen firearm and illegal use of a weapon. Jones was only 29 years-old.

In tha rap game, Jones was best known for bein' featured on Baton Rouge rapper, Young Ready's "That's How I'm Coming" mixtape, released in 2009, on tha songs, "Hitman" & "Out The Mud", also featuring Baton Rouge's Zion City Juice. When reviewed back on March 27, 2009, Frankie rated "Hitman" a 4.9/5.0 & "Out The Mud" a 4.8. Frankie also made a 60-second commercial for tha mixtape, putting Black Roy in tha features, and even radio-editing "Hitman", just to show Black Roy luv.

Jones' funeral service was held earlier today, Saturday, June 29, 2013, from 9 AM - 10 AM. Jones iz survived by his spouse, Sherika Ellis Jones; mother and stepfather, Johnnella and Jeffery Lethermon; father and stepmother, Jerry and Arclette Breaux; daughters, Ralayjah Jones and Demonne Ellis; sons, Quincy Williams, Anthony Smith and DeAnthony Marshall; sister, Natasha Jones; brothers, Jerry Lee Breaux Jr., Kendrick Breaux, Ronald Eubanks, Prentice Jones, Clarence Swayzer, Courtland Coleman and Christopher Spears; and grandmother, Cordeal Breaux, Plaquemine. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Willie Mae and Morris McCastle, Henry Breaux and Ollie Jean Lethermon.

Review #1,296: FrankieThaLuckyDog Presents "Tha Louisiana Archives Vol. 14: Important Artists Only! (Hosted by FrankieThaLuckyDog)"

Reviewed on 6.29.2013 (Review #1,296)

Got anotha review up now: It’s me, FrankieThaLuckyDog Presents Tha Louisiana Archives Vol. 14: Important Artists Only! (Hosted by FrankieThaLuckyDog)! Unlike all my other reviewz for my mixtape compilations, this one, I believe, gon be an actual review. Most of tha artists on this compilation booked a spot to be on here, so as far as tha songs they sent me, I neva really heard them in their entirety. However, because it ain’t all my favorite picks, like tha other issues, I have a feelin’ that this gon be my least-favorite Tha Louisiana ArchivesStart Time: 2:01 PM | End Time: 3:07 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes 100,000x (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it! After I was robbed by an artist who claimed they “get money,” hearin’ about how much you “got money” and anything “money” really bothers me. If you have not done business wit me before, I won’t tolerate “money” talk in tha music!!

© 2013 CD Review (Review #1,296) reviewed on 6.29.2013 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. FrankieThaLuckyDog “Intro: Important Artists Only!”
Feels a lil’ awkward ta hear me… >>> Props ta those that booked a spot fa this mixtape! My Rating: N/A

02. Sav Sinatra “Mobb Shit”
Shout out ta Solo Mafia Enterprises! We all know I luv this song!! Doin’ tha damn thang on my playlist & countdown, as we speak!! My Current Rating: 4.8

03. N.O. Gator Feat. Lil’ Cali & Mr. Magic “Damn”
Block Monsta Muzik… Gatorman Brooks; neva really heard this, so lemme give it my review… >>> Not really an original beat, but I chose this ‘cause of it bein’ a new artist fa me, wit this collaboration… Also, nice how this Gator comin’ through on tha hook wit tha attitude/delivery! Wasn’t sure if this was called “Bang Bang” or “Damn”; I went with what was on SoundCloud, and “Damn” was in quotes… Anyway, good job wit tha 1st verse, here, comin’ through wit some gutta shit! Not really into all tha “money” rhymes, but this ain’t wack… Tha 2nd verse iz Lil’ Cali? Him and Cali almost sound alike… Either way, it flowed nicely wit tha 1st verse… Tha 3rd verse iz Magic; likin’ this, especially tha “piiiiiiiiiiiiiiissssssssssssss” line!! My Rating: 4.3

04. Jiggy Black Feat. Big Ro “Make Me Flash Out”
Shout out ta ‘Bout Gangsta Shit Entertainment (BGS Ent.); lemme hear this! >>> I guess this iz “Make Me Flash Out”; I didn’t get to listen to any of these songs, so I wasn’t sure what tha exact titles were… Either way, nice beat and catchy hook… Tha 1st verse iz here, and it sounds like Dog Da Cutthroata. Yea, “Girbauds;” gotta fuckin’ luv how ya comin’ through!! Here you are on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit dat “dumb dick” fa ya “woman,” here. LOL, I remember on Valetine’s Day (this year?), where you posted your “dick” on Facebook or somethin’ fa tha ladies. Crazy shit; can’t get suspended from Facebook! Gotta luv how ya—oh wait, “Me & Jiggy;” someone else iz on this? My bad if I don’t know who’s who, but I’ll ask you. Lemme text you, see what’s up. Either way, nice 3rd verse; you fuck wit some beasts, Jiggy! My Rating: 4.4

05. Chief Dolo Feat. Trouble T & Damage “I Got That Dope”
Respect Da Game Music, here; let’s hear it! >>> Likin’ how tha beat sounds wit how you’re comin’ through wit your “cookies,” here! Tha 1st verse iz here, and it’s Damage; nice collaboration, and as always, cool voice… Got Chief Dolo on tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through wit catchy shit! Definitely reppin’ great fa tha Boot, here! Comin’ through on tha 3rd verse, too; I like how he says, “thug!” True, 225-type shit!! My Rating: 4.7

06. Bubba Feat. Max Minelli “Retarded”
You already know what it iz!!! My Current Rating: 4.8

07. Will Chill Feat. Suave “Warren Buffet Bill Gates”
Waterbound Enterprises in tha buildin’, here; lemme hear this one! >>> Hook sounds cool, as well as tha beat… Feelin’ how tha dude comin’ through on tha 1st verse; good, consistent rhymes fa tha streetz… Tha 2nd verse sounds not bad, here… Tha 3rd verse sounds cool, here, “eatin’ on some steak!” My Rating: 4.1

08. Da Intrudaz “Club Ciroc”
Shout out ta Andre Fatz fa hittin’ me up; Bigga & Betta Records representin’, here! >>> Hyped-up hook & beginning wit tha beat; gotta luv it! Of course, gotta luv tha drugged-up 1st verse; can feel tha sweat drippin’ down and shit! It’s crazy! Tha 2nd verse sounds nice, especially wit tha “coconut” punchline and shit! My Rating: 4.5

09. Mike Gutta “Cut Up”
Now with Ryan Premier1989 LLC… >>> This iz an okay song fa me, for a start… Beat’s a lil’ mainstream, includin’ those background ad-libs. Reminds me a lil’ of dat stupid Ca$h Out dude… Even tha hook’s a lil’ on tha mainstream side fa me, but I had ta let Gutta get a spot, here… My Rating: 3.6

½time: It’s a real-good CD, so far; can’t complain! A 4.4-rated CD, currently!!!!

10. DJ B-Real Feat. J Buc “Excellent”
Like I say, “tha most-important dude in Louisiana,” along wit anotha important artist! My Current Rating: 4.9

11. Devon Feat. Lil’ One The Champ “Purple’s My Favorite Color”
Premonition Productions, here; self-produced, too… >>> Good hook and beat. Nice job, Devon, wit tha consistent rhymes on tha 1st verse. More “weed” reppin’, here, wit Lil’ One The Champ on tha 2nd verse; good, good… Great rhymes, but I dunno about havin’ 100% positive rhymes. It’s like, negative things can happen in life… Switchin’ it up as it’s back to Devon, comin’ through wit a different “Steve Harvey/Family Feud” way, on tha 3rd verse; great job wit tha consistency! My Rating: 4.3
EDIT: Due to personal reasons, Devon now goes by Tony Tumac.

12. Yung Roe Feat. Vantrey “You Know Dumb!”
Sponsored by Last Breed Muzik! >>> An okay/great underground start… Tha hook sounds like a ‘90s baby-type song. Not bad, overall, so far… Let’s see how tha 2nd verse sounds… My Rating: 3.7

13. Big Bandit Feat. Big Blaze “Down In Da South”
Above Standard Entertainment… Big Blaze on tha production, here; gotta hear it! >>> Nice beat start; sounds good… Nice job wit tha 1st verse, Big Bandit! You forgot ta hit me back on tha phone that night I talked to you, but it’s okay, I guess… At least you made this mixtape! Tha hook sounds nice; “southern” representation – presentation! Big Bandit continuin’ on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit a lot of “this bitch” shit; gotta feel it! Definitely feelin’ how Big Blaze’s comin’ through on tha 3rd verse; WHAT A BEAST!!!!! Very consistent, and I definitely can say that his verse iz a perfect-rated verse!!! My Rating: 4.6

14. BluBlack “Up There”
Blu3 Da Truth production; thanx to Black Noise Entertainment fa payin’ fa this spot. >>> Though this sounds nice and hypnotic/spooky, I’m not really crazy about Blu, anymore. I feel like people need to treat me important, especially if I show them so much luv—more than they can count! I don’t get why every rapper has to mention “money” in their songs… Definitely a nice song, though, but I can’t really take it that serious wit my playlist, due to a lack of acknowledging me… My Rating: 4.5

15. Big Wayne Feat. B-Teze, Red & DJ B-Real “Beef”
Gotta luv it! Wonder if I like it betta than “Excellent”? Close race… Of course, wit this, B-Teze owned tha song! Soulja Made Entertainment! My Current Rating: 4.9

16. D-Skills “Damn Right”
All Or Nuthin’ Entertainment, LLC in tha buildin’… >>> I think this my least-favorite song off this CD ‘cause tha hook’s real repetitive, in a mainstream way. However, I had ta show this dude luv and give him a spot on this mixtape… And, you can’t deny his rhymes on tha 1st verse; consistent… Tha 2nd verse sounds a lil’ typical, as well as preachin’, too… My Rating: 3.5

17. IGT “Loaded!”
This dude made this song fa me and this mixtape… He wit Monsta’s Monsta Ink label; let’s see how he does wit his self-produced song, here… >>> Nice and slowww, wit this nice drug feel fa tha hook! IGT stands fa IGotTrakz! You sound like a quiet rapper, as far as tha voice, on tha 1st verse, but you prove a purpose! Tha rest of tha verses sound like they go wit each other, too; not bad… My Rating: 3.8

18. FrankieThaLuckyDog “Outro: Transcending”
>>> I hope to get in dat video world real soon! I just completed anotha video countdown! We’ll see if a Vol. 15’ll happen… My Rating: N/A

Overall: Good CD of mine; I dug tha newbies, as well as tha four classic songs I threw on there that I knew, already! Thanx ta err-body that contributed!!

Review #1,295: Joe Wit Da Dreadz "Star Dat Vol. 3"

Reviewed on 6.28.2013 (Review #1,295)

Time ta get into anotha review: Star Dat Entertainment’s Joe Wit Da Dreadz Star Dat Vol. 3; looks like a bounce compilation, so I’m lookin’ forward ta this! However, this CD adds up to 1:23:59; guess it neva sold any copies in tha streetz, since it’s 3:59 over tha maximum CD length? Start Time: 4:53 PM | End Time: 6:22 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! 01. “Star Dat Vol. 3 (Intro)”
Let’s see how we gon kick it off!! >>> Nice intro, wit a The Fugees “Ready Or Not”-type beat mix, here… Female goin’ nuts on this bounce beat (Keedy Black?)! Sounds just as great as rundatbeatradio.com!! Now, tha beat in tha background switched up to some female R&B, Melanie Fiona-type; diggin’ it! Not exactly sure of tha female; if I don’t know tha artist, I just gon leave tha artist blank, until further notice. Of course, I must rate this intro!! My Rating: 4.4

02. Ciara “Body Party (Joe Wit Da Dreadz Mix)”
Let’s see what we got here… >>> Hearin’ tha intro, and I have a feelin’ this iz Ciara… Yup, I was right: “Body Party”, tha real title iz. Nice vibe between tha bounce kicks vs. tha “My Boo” beat. Great blend, overall, can’t complain… Not only am I rating tha mixes, but I’m also scoring these ratings off of how much I like tha actual song, too. As for this song, originally, it’s just okay for me… My Rating: 3.7

03. Walkalot Girls 8wd Rock St. Rock
I’m basing these IDs off of tha DatPiff tracklisting, so I’m not sure if I’m spelling names wrong… >>> Luv it!! Run Dat Beat-type ish!! Wow, haven’t heard tha word “duffy” in a minute, sadly; glad it’s on here! My Rating: 4.5

04. Fantasia “Lose To Win (Joe Wit Da Dreadz Mix)”
>>> Haven’t been followin’ tha mainstream circuit in four years, so I’m not sure what song this iz… Luckily, there’s YouTube! *Checks* Fantasia, I see; sounds great wit this bounce vibe!! My Rating: 4.2

05. Calliope Ceedy “Goonie Gang”
A newbie, I believe, for me! >>> Feelin’ tha 504 sound in tha voice in tha beginning! LOL @ this “Goonie Gang;” gotta luv it!! Almost sounds like Frankie J “Don’t Wanna Try” in tha background/tha song he sampled… Now, it almost sounds like Ciara appeared in tha song… My Rating: 4.7

06. “Bad (Joe Wit Da Dreadz Mix)”
Don’t tell me this MJ… >>> Good, it ain’t; not sure who it iz, but it sounds like Nina Sky… I know it ain’t them, but this female rappin’ sounds great, too! LOL @ all tha repeatin’ of “dick like a bike,” ROFL… Nice lil’ endin’ from Magnolia Shorty, shoutin’ out “JoeWitDaDreadz!!” My Rating: 3.8

07. Monsta Witda Fade “Bop”
‘Bout ta get inta this one, but my ass iz callin’ me; have ta take a shit real quick! *Takes a shit at 5:12 PM…* *Returns at 5:16 PM…* Wow, that was quick… Anyway, onta this Monsta who has a fade! >>> Takin’ “it back ta Texas;” are we reppin’ “Texas”? Let’s see, here… Of course, tha bounce vibe iz there, so everyone blends in like they from tha 504 like it’s nothin’! Anyway, this short but sweet; nice and consistent!! My Rating: 4.3

08. Future Feat. Kelly Rowland & Keedy Black “Neva End (Joe Wit Da Dreadz Mix)”
I know this song… Pure garbage, but let’s see if this bounce vibe wit Keedy Black can save it! >>> Sounds better… Almost sounds like me listenin’ to tha mixshows I would listen to, back in 2001 & 2002! Great bounce vibe, but those Future parts are gross, still… Too bad my rating gon be low ‘cause of his dumb-ass… My Rating: 2.6

09. Frankyboy Murdafeen “Booty Box”
Lookin’ forward ta hearin’ this one!! Comeback song, despite havin’ some great songs last year? Lookin’ forward!! >>> Luv it already; sounds like all tha other songs on here, blendin’ nicely! Luv all those “box” parts! Nice ward reppin’, non-stop! Can’t wait ta add this one to my playlist, too! I know I got this CD shortly before your birthday, but now that it’s shortly after your birthday, I wanna say, “Happy late birthday,” Murdafeen!! Keep makin’ music!! Also, nice “Ready Or Not” blend sounds, once again! My Rating: 4.8

10. Rihanna Feat. Future “Loveeeeeee Song (Joe Wit Da Dreadz Mix)”
Rihanna and dumb-ass Future’s song? >>> Yup, hearin’ tha garbage voice in tha beginning from Future… And, it’s actually spelled “Loveeeeeee Song”, wit seven “E”s, lol. Good Rihanna parts ova this JWDD mix, but Future makes me wanna throw up! BTW, why does this song get four-and-a-half minutes? SMH! My Rating: 2.3

11. Lady Red “Say Hello”
New joint by her! >>> Sounds nice wit all her “smokin’” lines! Nice “Ready Or Not” beats, as well as “Good Times” in tha background, speakin’ of 2002! I must be psychic when doin’ these reviewz ‘cause whateva I flashback to, somethin’ of that era appears in tha review, lol! I took a shit in tha middle of tha Big Wayne Antisocial review, a few weeks ago, and he had a line, sayin’, “Shittin’ on,” haterz or somethin’, lol! My Rating: 4.3

12. Justin Timberlake “Suit & Tie (Joe Wit Da Dreadz Mix)”
LOL… >>> Good bounce mix, lol; have to admit, I like hearin’ tha clear vocals… My Rating: 4.0

½time: I’m feelin’ this bounce CD!! I don’t even mind how tha Future songs blend wit this ‘cause this shit ain’t wack at all!! A 4.0-rated CD, currently; keep this shit up!

13. DSJ (Darkskinn Jamaine) “Good Goobly Goo”
Let’s hear it! >>> Nice bounce song about tha “booty,” lol! Sounds like this song lasts forever, but it’s cool… My Rating: 3.9

14. StardatJ3 “Busint It Loose”
This one iz on tha DatPiff player, but not in tha folder when I downloaded it… Lemme rip it so I have it… >>> Likin’ tha “busint it loose” repeatin’!! Even got a female R&B singer toward tha mid-end… My Rating: 4.3

15. StardatJ3 “1st 48 Killer”
Two-play? >>> Not bad wit tha reggae sound, but a major turn-off wit a T-Pain/a-tune sound! First wack song on this CD—wacker than tha Future shit! I would’ve skipped it immediately, but because this iz a bounce CD/not bad, so far, I’m puttin’ up wit this BS… I mean, it’s kinda catchy wit that “beauty” line, but I can’t take this serious… My Rating: 1.9

16. Yung Naka Feat. Crowd Mova Crystal “Rocky Balboa”
Not sure how many peeps are on this song, but I considered it three; let’s see if I’m right… >>> I was wrong; Crowd Mova Crystal iz one person… Nice song fa tha hoes, here… Not much ta say; good, repetitive song fa tha hoes… My Rating: 3.6

17. Xscape “Do You Want To (Joe Wit Da Dreadz Mix)”
Lookin’ on YouTube, and iz this Xscape? Let’s hear it… >>> Tha vibe sounds like it’s them; sounds very different ta be bounced out, lol! Kinda on tha long side, here (5:45)… My Rating: 3.0

18. Walkalot Girls Bounty Hunt
Again? >>> I hear some Jill Scott “He Loves Me (Lyzel In E Flat)” vocals in tha background; nice mix, includin’ this bounce vibe, once again!! LOL, imagine if it repeated “cunt” instead of “hunt,” lol? Crazy! My Rating: 3.8

19. Tamia “So Into You (Joe Wit Da Dreadz Mix)”
Let’s see, here… >>> Well, it’s Tamia, with a “You” at tha end of tha title! Nice blend; as always wit tha slow jamz, it sounds nice and very random! Endin’ wit an acapella, lol… My Rating: 3.9

20. Walkalot Feat. StardatJ3 & Yung Tay “Bend It Over”
I think Joe Wit Da Dreadz iz tha main artist; I’m not sure, but let’s see… >>> Disgusting start! Well, it’s a female rapper, here, rappin’ on tha 1st verse; feelin’ tha rhymes, anticipatin’ sex, lol! Tha 2nd verse ain’t too bad, here… I know it says, “Featuring Walkalot, etc.,” but I just gon consider it Walkalot’s song… My Rating: 1.0

21. Changing Faces “Stroke You Up (Joe Wit Da Dreadz Mix)”
Looks like Changing Faces; was just thinkin’ ‘bout them not too long ago, with their “That Other Woman” song from 2000… Let’s hear what this mix gon sound like… Just like tha Tamia one, it has that slow vibe, though I dunno if I can handle tha 5:07 length… Either way, I thought this was good, but long… My Rating: 4.0

22. Iccy Baby “Should Have Known”
>>> Sounds good for a female rapper… Almost sounds like Keyshia Cole on tha hook; nice combination wit tha bounce vibe, here… My Rating: 3.8

23. Damian Marley “Love Like (Joe Wit Da Dreadz Reggae Mix)”
>>> Sounds like Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley; good sound, here! My Rating: 4.3

24. 3rd Wd Poo “Ride That Dick”
>>> LOL @ Beyoncé and her “Countdown” in tha sample, here, as far as ridin’ “that dick,” lol… And also, 2002’s comin’ back in this one, wit Donell Jones “You Know That I Love You” randomly appearin’… My Rating: 4.1

25. Iccy Baby Feat. Big Juicy “Bounce All Around”
Hate ta hear this CD gon end… >>> Back wit tha Jill Scott vocals in tha background, lol… This sounds good fa rappin’ ova a bounce beat, once again. My Rating: 4.2

Overall: Thought this was a great CD; finally, I reviewed a current bounce CD!! Great selection of current artists, as well as remixes of flashback jointz! Keep up tha great work, Mr. Dreadz!!

Review #1,294: K-Chill Presents "Louisiana Gorillaz Vol. 2"

Reviewed on 6.27.2013 (Review #1,294)

Got anotha review up next: Gorillaville Records’ K-Chill Presents Louisiana Gorillaz Vol. 2! Although I’m excited for this, I have to admit, why wasn’t I notified about this CD? It came out October 25, 2012, and I found it on my own, a few weeks ago? Not a good look! But, I gon enjoy a video game while I review this… Start Time: 5:05 PM | End Time: 5:46 PM

01. K-Chill “Intro”
Let’s hear what ya got! >>> True shit; exactly how I feel when I show luv ta artists! LOL @ half tha intro bein’ silence! My Rating: N/A

02. Pugg “Like Ugh”
Let’s see what this dude gon bring… >>> I like tha sirens in tha beginning… Sounds like a different/younger version of K-Chill… Good lyrics in tha 1st verse; great job reppin’ tha streetz! Nice hook; feelin’ dat “ugh;” ugh!! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse, and this dude sounds nice and focused; great mind! Tha 3rd verse started off a lil’ money-like, but it’s startin’ ta sound betta wit tha rhymes! My Rating: 4.3

03. Lil’ Russ Feat. T.Barker “Loose Booty”
This July 10’ll mark 4 years since I’ve been waitin’ for Russ to call me back; wonder what’s takin’ so long?? Anyway, lookin’ forward ta hearin’ this…! >>> Beat and hook sounds a lil’ simple, but good, so far… Okay, by tha last “loose booty” in tha hook, I think this gon be catchy… Hearin’ Russ on tha 1st verse, and I’m likin’ how he sounds on this; good job wit this… T.Barker (almost thought it was T-Ratchet)’s on tha 2nd verse, and it sounds catchy… Iz it me, or there are no virgins in Louisiana? Like, how does everyone master sex? My Rating: 4.4

04. K-Chill “Prelude 1”
!!! >>> I totally agree wit this shit! My spin on this iz how peeps don’t acknowledge my shit, but they like mainstream shit like 2 Chainz or Rick Ross on YouTube. It’s like, WTF? That ain’t Louisiana!! Everything I do iz for Louisiana, and tha artists themselves don’t even show tha luv, smh!! But yea, real nice, real skit, but why tha minute of silence at tha end, again? My Rating: N/A

05. Soulja Jay Feat. Jayyeestarrr “Marathons”
Production from Kace Jones, here; lookin’ forward ta hearin’! >>> Nice start; sounds good, except all tha “money” references… People still bringin’ up tha “R. Kelly” shit from 11 years ago? I mean, you guys lose your virginity like it’s nothin’, so I don’t see why you’d care about an under-18-aged girl… Anyway, hook sounds good; lots of great, repetitive shit! Let’s hear this 2nd verse… This Jay dude sounds okay; I think everybody’s on a “swag” tip, which ain’t that exciting for me… Tha 3rd verse sounds great wit tha alternatin’ between tha verse; good job, guys! My Rating: 4.5

06. G.Lynn “Love”
>>> WTF @ this R&B shit on here? Not a “gorilla” vibe at all! I thought she was a rapper? *Skips to 1:00* Okay, there’s rappin’; boring for this CD, and it’s clean! Fuck this! My Rating: 1.0

07. K-Chill “Prelude 2”
Yes! >>> Good to promote gettin’ on future Louisiana Gorillaz CDs! My Rating: N/A

08. King Ryce “I’m So Tired”
>>> Anotha garbage-ass R&B song, WTF?! Rappin’ okay, but this iz way too soft for this CD! Too long, too! Just endin’ this after tha 1st verse! My Rating: 1.2

½time: This CD was at a 4.4-rated CD ‘til those two garbage R&B songs came in… Now, it’s at a 3.1 for tha CD rating. Too bad those two songs ruined this review, but we’ll try to get back up there…

09. K-Chill “Somebody Gone Fuck”
My Current Rating: 4.5

10. Fullgrown Feat. Leezy & King Chris “We Don’t Talk To ‘Em”
My Current Rating: 4.0

11. Big Blaze “I Betcha”
LOL @ an ’06 song bein’ on here!! My Current Rating: 4.7

12. Pook Da Truth “I’m On Fire”
>>> Ehh, hook’s a lil’ strange, Shawty Lo-like wit tha holdin’ notes… Rhymes are okay; why iz this song 5:15? What a turn-off!! Should’ve just been 3:00! Tha 3rd verse sounds a lil’ cocky when “tha realest in tha game” was said. I hate when people claim they’re “tha best;” it’s so played out, and it’s neva true!! My Rating: 3.4

13. Bat “Package”
>>> Doesn’t sound Louisiana ta me; sounds like a mainstream 2 Chainz or somethin’… Tha hook sounds kinda mainstream, too… I thought this was Louisiana Gorillaz? It’s startin’ ta sound a lil’ betta, but I dunno about me makin’ this a priority… Now, tha 3rd verse iz startin’ ta sound shitty… When will we eliminate tha “money,” tha “haters,” tha “hoes,” and all dat shit? My Rating: 3.2

14. K-Chill “Prelude 3”
>>> I feel ya wit those dudes “sittin’ behind tha computer!” However, it’s different wit autistic peeps like me, who don’t have peeps to go out with… But, I do get out there and do my video thang, so at least I have somethin’… And yea, gotta hate those “YouTube” dickriders/actin’ cocky over views! My Rating: N/A

15. Pipe Feat. Colby Co “Bitch-Nigga”
>>> Not bad for tha hook; hope this hood topic doesn’t turn into money and shit… Hearin’ tha 1st verse, and I’m likin’ tha “dark” vibe/rhymes; good shit… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse, and it sounds good, too… My Rating: 3.7

16. Aquad “Tic Toc Wit It”
>>> Almost like a bounce vibe, here; interestin’… Nice long beginning wit tha hook, here… Luv how this didn’t even change up one bit; now, that’s different!!! My Rating: 4.0

17. Oxx Montana Feat. Nebu & T.Barker “Hustle For Life”
Lookin’ forward ta this collaboration endin’ it off!! >>> Bad start wit tha female singin’ in tha beginning… Tha hook ain’t too bad wit tha female, as well as a male singer… Let’s hear this 1st verse… This iz more like it wit this voice and delivery! Good shit!! T.Barker on tha 2nd verse… I’m feelin’ what he comin’ through, and I hope I see some of his “money” soon! Nice rhymes; great collaboration! Despite tha start, I was definitely feelin’ tha rhymes, so this passed for me! My Rating: 4.3

Overall: An okay CD, overall. It would’ve been better without tha R&B; that ain’t street at all, to me! But, shout out ta those that did tha damn thang!

Review #1,293: BadOff "Pistol Play"

Reviewed on 6.27.2013 (Review #1,293)

‘Bout to do my first CD review at 25; this a random one, so I just gon go through it… Thug Mob Entertainment’s BadOff Pistol Play. This CD’s almost a year old; why you ain’t send it to me then? Start Time: 4:04 PM | End Time: 4:19 PM

01. “AnA (Show You In)”
>>> Sounds good, but it’s tha same beat from Yung Yola & JrBoy “He Da Truth” (samplin’ Lil’ Handy “Cut The Lights On”’s one bar)… My Rating: 4.2

02. “AlphaBet Money”
My Current Rating: 2.9

03. “Girl U Bad Huh” Feat. Hoodlum
>>> Not really for me, as most of y’all prefer spendin’ your so-called “cash” on females than peeps like me, who promote people… My Rating: 2.4

04. “We In This Bitch” Feat. T.Ratchet & Sho-Capone
>>> Really? Why “I’m A Grinder”, no less havin’ your own people replace Beezy Bird on tha “bow, bow” sample? Because of tha Gates dickridin’, I’m just skimmin’ through this, mainly skippin’ it… My Rating: 1.4

05. “Dumber Way” Feat. J-Beaux
>>> Beginning sounds like “Adios” wit tha “I’m comin’ through…” line; not as bad as I thought, but I can’t take this unknown artist shit too serious, now… My Rating: 3.0

06. “See Me Bow”
>>> Not bad with this BR vibe… My Rating: 3.4

07. “All Dem Hoes” Feat. Bishop & Big Larry
My Current Rating: 3.7

08. “Does It Dumb (D.I.D.)”
>>> Nothin’ new fa me; a lil’ boring, but not terrible… My Rating: 2.5

09. “I’m Something Else”
>>> Tha BR ‘typical’ music that’s a lil’ boring for me. I mean, I’m not sick of it, but when it’s an unknown rapper, it sounds a lil’ boring to hear… Feelin’ tha flow, as it reminds me of Natureboy Rowe, but these lyrics ain’t for me at all! ‘90s baby-type shit… My Rating: 2.7

½time: A 2.9-rated CD so far; what I expected…

10. “I’m Dat Nigga”
>>> Sounds listenable; not bad… I like tha hyped-up vibe wit tha beat and how you come through on it… My Rating: 3.6

11. “Mr. Dope Dick (Skit)”
>>> I thought this was a skit, not a Twista “Get It Wet” beat rap? Tha audio quality sucks, and this okay, but I can’t listen to this jacked shit, right now… My Rating: 2.6

12. “Bitch Fo Dat” Feat. DNA
>>> Sounds a lil’ silly wit tha hook… Not too bad, overall; an okay collaboration. My Rating: 3.1

13. “Cut’n Up”
>>> Beat sounds cool to rap on, though simple… Even these lyrics are too simple for me; gotta try harder!! But, this iz average for me, too… My Rating: 2.9

14. “Other Rappers Ain’t”
>>> Curse of tha “Adios” again, fa real! Tha beat, this time… Ehh, how many songs have to be about hatin’ on dudes? Rap about dudes luvin’ what you do, instead of “all these rappers ain’t shit!!” My Rating: 1.3

15. “Talking Tom” Feat. DNA
>>> Not really for me wit all this “money” shit and typical rhymes… My Rating: 1.8

16. “My Nigga Then”
>>> I dunno how every rapper has a posse that cares about them, as well as bein’ ‘cool’ wit people; how iz that possible? When you see me, it’s always by myself!! Can’t relate to nobody!!! My Rating: 2.3

17. “One Big Room”
Taken out of tha DatPiff folder… >>> Only a hook? Just ratin’ it whateva… My Rating: 2.0

18. “Fuck N Fight”
My Current Rating: 3.6

19. “I Run Dis Shit”
>>> Turned off by tha Mouse On Tha Track intro; I know he ain’t produce an original beat for you, so as far as this jacked shit, it’s just rappin’; I’ll put it at that! My Rating: 2.6

Overall: Kinda like how I rated tha previous CD of yours…
