Review #1,280: FrankieThaLuckyDog Presents "Tha Louisiana Archives Vol. 13: Tha DJ B-Real Aisle"

Reviewed on 3.27.2013 (Review #1,280)

Got my 13th mixtape compilation up next for review: FrankieThaLuckyDog Presents Tha Louisiana Archives Vol. 13: Tha DJ B-Real Aisle (Hosted by FrankieThaLuckyDog)! Named this CD after workin’ in my dad’s store, as well as tha growin’ connection I’m developin’ wit DJ B-Real. Start Time: 1:16 PM | End Time: 1:29 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes 100,000x (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it! After I was robbed by an artist who claimed they “get money,” hearin’ about how much you “got money” and anything “money” really bothers me. If you have not done business wit me before, I won’t tolerate “money” talk in tha music!!

Review #1,279: Eddie Starks "Power Move (The Mixtape)"

Reviewed on 3.25.2013 (Review #1,279)

Got another review up next and I know it gon be way betta than tha previous review I just did, where tha artist sounded very mainstream-like for my Louisiana tastes! Unsigned artist from Plaquemine: Eddie Starks—who just requested to put his new CD on DatPiff—Power Move (The Mixtape)! I’m anticipated for this ‘cause Eddie Starks, to me, iz a rare artist; only heard three songs from him outta tha three years I’ve known him! Glad he ain’t on tha level everyone’s tryna be wit releasing almost 40 – 100 songs a year-type bullshit! Also, why a “mixtape;” why can’t this just be an ‘album’? People need to stop usin’ that word ‘cause mixtapes don’t stop with cold/fade endings, and usually contain mixing and hosting; learn, people!! Start Time: 7:39 PM | End Time: 9:09 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! 01. “Come Down” Feat. Tamarah Esi
Wonder what this gon be like for a starting song, produced by Ray@Absolut Beatz? >>> Nice beginning beat start, as it transitioned into tha hook… Likin’ this En Vogue-soundin’ singer on tha hook; good shit! Here you are on tha 1st verse, feelin’ like a great dude in his 20s! Tha 2nd verse sounds good, too, wit how you comin’ through on this shit, strictly for tha 225! My Rating: 4.4

02. “So High” Feat. Fancy
I wonder who this Fancy iz…? Produced by Zachary “Zone” Glaros, here… >>> Nice start wit tha female; iz that Fancy? First person I thought of was Big Fancy, but I doubt it’s him… Feelin’ tha hook wit tha both of y’all; you sound nice and “high” wit how you say tha words in tha hook! Good shit! Tha 1st verse sounds good wit how you put everything together… Can’t deny your rhymes, since they can be snuck into tha song well, unlike some random ‘90s baby screamin’, “I’m gettin’ money and hoes,” smh! Tha 2nd verse almost reminds me of Plies in tha beginning, wit how you sound, but it’s still good… My Rating: 4.2

03. “I’m Jiggin’, I’m Leanin’”
Tha first song I’m hearin’ from you wit just you on it! Gbaby beat; hope it sounds good…! >>> Sounds like a nice, simple hook. However, I wish tha beat sounded more Louisiana than tha boring mainstream bullshit… Sounds like typical rhymes in tha 1st verse, but I can feel ‘em when it comes outta your mouth. It sounds like you would be real cool to hang wit, although you seem way more advanced wit me wit how your life iz… Nice ending to tha 1st verse wit tha really fast part! Tha 2nd verse sounds like you havin’ fun, once again; lots of “racks” and “hoes,” too, I see… My Rating: 4.2

04. “I Luv Money” Feat. Foxx
Should I just skip this stupid title? Zachary “Zone” Glaros on tha beat… >>> I really like tha beat; definitely that Louisiana-type shit I was lookin’ for in tha previous song! Now, I may not feel straight hearin’ tha hook, but it’s pretty good wit Foxx on it. Even him on tha 1st verse’s soundin’ good wit his energy; nice and consistent! Ooh, really likin’ how you’re comin’ through on tha 2nd verse, especially tha beginning of it!! Very catchy shit you deliverin’ on tha 2nd verse; good job, Starx!! My Rating: 4.5

05. “Do It Again” Feat. Melloboy
Looks like it gon be interestin’ wit this newbie on tha feature and tha beat! >>> Startin’ off wit a girl on tha phone in tha beginning; how hard was it to get dat? Oh, this feature’s a singer? Ehh, decent on tha hook, includin’ tha beat…; at least this sounds like music that’s above local standards. Like, I hate when those no-name rappers get random singers on tha hooks, and it sounds like an online beat or some bullshit; this iz above dat… You’re on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit some action fa these ladies! Did you say, “I like tha way you shiiiit,” lol? LOL! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it sounds good like tha 1st verse. I hear that part again before tha hook; sounds like, “shave;” forgot girls shaved for a second… My Rating: 4.1

06. “Part Of Tha Game” Feat. Max Minelli & Livesosa
I dunno why people think Max Minelli’s name iz a compound word, lol… Either way, let’s see what this gon sound like wit Zachary “Zone” Glaros on tha beat! >>> Feelin’ tha beat a whole lot; sounds like some quality, underground-type shit Kevin Gates would rap on! You’re on tha 1st verse and it sounds good; if tha “money gon come and tha money gon go,” I hope you send me $100 to put tha whole album on YouTube! Ahh, tha hook has a lotta shit that doesn’t sound like it’s for me wit tha lyrics, but tha singing sounds good… Max’s on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit some nice, in-your-30s-with-experience-type shit… I neva could fit in a “wifebeata…” But, I like when peeps wear ‘em; I guess I like it since it’s tha opposite of me… Hearin’ tha final hook and these lyrics on tha hook are startin’ ta bother me; no wonder why rarely anyone takes me serious… My Rating: 4.3

07. “Body Drop”
Yes, anotha solo song by you, produced by Zachary “Zone” Glaros!! >>> Sounds like you luv thinkin’ ‘bout “killing” wit that intro… I wish people would put tha pussy-ass gunz away and just not beef wit people; it’s so simple!! Hearin’ you rap on tha 1st verse and your voice sounds a lil’ different than usual; almost reminds me of Sean Paul of tha YoungBloodZ… Tha hook sounds good wit how you deliver it; nice and catchy! Really short song, lol… My Rating: 4.3

08. “Down Here” Feat. Kevin Gates
Would’ve neva guessed who produced this song; good thing it’s one of those unknown producers for me; Ray@Absolut Beatz on tha beat! Tha first song I heard from you where you were tha main artist, and I still have it on my iPod!! Deleted quite a bit of Louisiana songs since I added this song, but you survived! As far as tha song, I think this iz a really good collaboration. I think you discovered me, but I don’t remember, since it was three years ago. Tha rhymes sound good and tha beat’s good enough for tha undaground! You got tha good flow and you even sound like you’re really enjoyin’ this joint! Tha hook sounds real nice, too, wit all tha “down here” and “it’s retarded” shit; straight-up gangsta shit!! Even got Gates doin’ a real nice job on tha 2nd verse, too, comin’ through wit a lotta catchy shit for tha streetz and all over!! I really like his “a target” and “I’m sorry” parts; nice and catchy, delivered real nice!!! You’re on tha 1st ½ of tha 3rd verse, comin’ through wit more of your great shit for tha streetz! Also, you got Gates on tha 2nd ½ of tha 3rd verse, comin’ through wit mo shit for tha streetz to embrace! I have a feelin’ this gon be my top-rated song on “here,” but we’ll see what’s my top-rated new song I neva heard before! My Current Rating: 4.9

09. “What Yo Name Is” Feat. Livesosa
I like tha way you put tha title wit tha “yo,” keepin’ it street! Zachary “Zone” Glaros on tha beat, here! >>> Wow, wtf @ tha intro & hook!?! *Skips* You’re older than me and you’re puttin’ this shit out??? My Rating: 1.0

½time: Well, so far, this iz a classic-soundin’ CD… ‘til #9 came; why??!? Tha CD rating just dropped 4/10s of a point, thanx to that shit, smfh!! Currently, you only stand at a 4.0 for tha CD rating… You had tha potential for five stars, but you still embrace a-tune at your age and 2013, smh?

10. “Paper My Paramour”
What’s a “paramour”? I’m guessin’ wit that other P-word that bothers me in tha title, it must have to do wit priority? Zachary “Zone” Glaros on tha beat, here; try to revive my excited anticipation! >>> So, you’re comparin’ “paper” to a “bitch”? O…K…then… Though I’m not into samples, thumbs up to havin’ Sade “No Ordinary Love” as tha sample on tha hook; wouldn’t’ve expected dat wit “paper” in tha title! Rhymes aren’t too bad in tha 1st verse; as long as I’m sarcastically thinkin’ it’s ‘bout a bitch, then things’ll be fine. I hope you do plenty of services wit me, since this “paper” ain’t a problem! Tha 2nd verse ain’t too bad, either; nice lil’ song… My Rating: 4.2

11. “Pop That” Feat. Q-Red & D-Boi
Before I get into this, lemme say a lil’ somethin’ real quick (‘cause of one of tha features & tha producer): I wanna get in touch wit this Justine girl!!! I tried addin’ her on Facebook, and I even had to pay $1.00 to write her a message (so it’s not marked as spam)!! Glad I got her on tha screen, right now!! Ooh, my desktop background changed to tha hot weathergirl from tha local news station, too!! *With a shy point of view* Oh, time fa me ta get ready fa this wit Q-Red on tha beat!!! >>> Usually, in this case of feelin’ uncomfortable, my feedback’s a lil’ limited. However, because of tha DatPiff upload, I’ll provide full feedback. As far as tha beat, it sounds pretty nice, here, as always! Really likin’ tha sounds in tha background, includin’ how y’all comin’ through wit tha “pop that pussy” shit on tha hook! Here you are on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit some nice shit! Didn’t know you knew about “Instagram and Twitter,” since you’ve been away durin’ 2011 & 2012, fa me. But, you did a nice job on tha 1st verse! Here’s Q-Red on tha 2nd verse—oh, Justine!!! Feelin’ tha rhymes, although listenin’ to him reminds me of a diabetic who’s ready to die who eats a lot of chocolate and sweets!! But, I definitely felt how he came through on tha 2nd verse!! Too bad I’ve been waitin’ 793 dayz fa him ta thank me for my awards from 2010; how much longer am I waiting?!? :( Got D-Boi on tha 3rd verse; sounds like a random rapper that was randomly thrown on tha track… Doesn’t sound bad, since it flows on this track. My Rating: 4.7

12. “So Slow” Feat. G-Sharp
G-Sharp on tha beat; hope this ain’t wack or anything… >>> Good, it’s a Texas/Southern-soundin’ “syrup” song!! Definitely likin’ tha beat and content on tha hook; that G-Sharp dude does a nice job singin’!! Feels like a real nice ride, here!! I go “so slow” when drivin’, at times, to save gas, while New York people luv ruinin’ tha environment, smh! You’re on tha 1st verse, comin’ through, feelin’ good fa tha south, here! Tha 2nd verse sounds nice; “sippin’ on dat yellow!” You really advanced wit how you live life, it seems like? Risky! Ironic what you “sittin’ on,” lol! Birthdayz!!! Gotta luv ‘em!! My Rating: 4.4

13. “I’m On Air” Feat. Mouse On Tha Track
Oh, double set of producers; didn’t realize two produced this. Both J Buc & Ray@Absolut Beatz doin’ tha production, here; of course, I know this one, courtesy of you! However, it entered tha worst year ever (2011) wit me, and I think I only kept, like, 60 songs that I aired that year because I got robbed & my cousin died of a heroin overdose within tha final month of tha year. :( Bad memories!! But, at least I finally talk to you on tha phone, so we can make good memories now! As for tha song, just like wit “Down Here”, this iz real catchy, and Mouse does a real nice job on tha hook!! Tha beat from Buc & Ray sounds like Mouse, but it’s so nice, tha way I luv it!! You’re on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit your fun studio-type shit that I luv!! Mouse, of course, does a nice job on tha 2nd verse, too! That voice of his definitely provides tha catchiness for tha track!! Sometimes, this song’ll come on in my head, when I’m in a good, new place, and it’ll make me feel good! Talk about how your music has value! Good shit on tha 3rd verse, too; I like how you end it wit your name, too!! My Current Rating: 4.7

14. “Real Life” Feat. Dorsey & Mo-C
Interestin’ features; lookin’ forward to hearin’ ‘em! I hope they rap, but I have a feelin’ that one sings… Zachary “Zone” Glaros on tha beat… >>> Sounds like an anticipatin’ Kevin Gates song; nice hook, wit a few lyrics!! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and I like that line, “Feelin’ like tha nigga who was left out,” or whateva;” that’s how I’ve felt since tha day I was born, sadly! Great job on tha 1st verse, though! I think this you on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit some nice shit! Oh wait, “Starks told me;” neva mind, it’s one of tha features, but it sounds nice! I guess y’all must be family or best friends ‘cause y’all sound real similar… I think this iz you on tha 3rd verse, now, and it sounds nice wit tha flow… My Rating: 4.3

15. “I’ma Ack” Feat. Mr. Dixon, Shoeshine & Monkeyrat
Some names here on tha features… Reg on tha beat, so let’s see what gon happen… >>> Oh, I like this! Tha beat sounds real nice and undaground, as well as tha undaground dude on tha hook!! Holla at me!! Ooh, a “Ghosttown” reprasenta, too, on tha 1st verse! Definitely some nice shit bein’ spit; keep ackin’!! Anotha newbie on tha 2nd verse; feelin’ it a whole lot!! Reminds me of tha first time hearin’ tha dayz of Young Ready!! Feels like I can neva get those times back, but hearin’ that dude on tha 2nd verse just makes it feel like it’s 2008 again!! Tha 3rd verse sounds nice, here; where were you, Starks? Iz this you? Can’t deny this… My Rating: 4.5

16. “Still Gettin’ Money” Feat. D. Berry, Big Rome & C-Loc
A #16 joint has DJ B-Real on tha beat!! However, tha title ain’t for me, but this looks like an interestin’ collaboration; let’s see what we got goin’ on wit it!! >>> Well, tha beat sounds nice, but there’s a real weak beginning wit a gay voice, here. :( I won’t skip, but it’ll cost you a good portion of tha points, Starks! Hook’s hella gay between tha lyrics and how it sounds; if it wasn’t for that overlapping voice on tha hook, I would’ve skipped, since there’s a really gay a-tuned voice in tha background! Here’s tha 1st verse; it sounds decent/good fa this Louisiana shit. Too bad whoever did tha filenames iz a dickrider, as they put C-Loc first in tha ID, instead of tha other dudes, smh! At least tha back cover’s correct! Tha 2nd verse sounds okay, but they’re way too obsessed wit “money.” Bigg Loc’s on tha 3rd verse; sounds like he’s a teenager/younger than me wit these rhymes… Not really into them, but it’s still listenable, in a way. Ehh, this sucked overall, though. Ugh @ tha ear-bleeding last 15 seconds; how much dick was in that dude’s mouth?!?!?!? My Rating: 1.5

17. “I’m Out Chea” Feat. Ceddybu, Mu-Mu & Cadillac
Can we return to normal??? J Buc doin’ tha beat, here; hope it’s tha truth!!! >>> Yea, sounds like a nice beat; heard his gunshot sound effect, so I figured it was him before I saw tha ID! Ehh, anotha “money” beginning? How obsessed can you be, Eddie? But, tha 1st verse sounds good from you, either way. Whoa, really distracted from Ceddybu comin’ outta nowhere on tha hook; can’t figure out what I’m typin’… Gettin’ in your veins wit dat voice!!! Nice and crazy delivery on tha hook!! Also, those lyrics fit this song real nice on tha hook; crazy!!! Tha 2nd verse sounds good, too, from (I assume) Mu-Mu, comin’ through wit some good shit you can feel in tha club, from a newbie! Cadillac’s on tha 3rd verse, it sounds like, comin’ through like a pill-poppin’ animal!! Feelin’ his big body-type shit; hope I hang wit him one day, without any bad people around!! My Rating: 4.7

18. “Tryna Get It” Feat. Locco
Ooh, this looks like it gon be good, wit B Eazy on tha beat! Hard Body Productions style!! >>> Sounds nice; glad I don’t hear everyone’s beat tags on most of tha tracks!! Don’t know why B-Real’s new beat tag was on his; no beat tags iz only another way to resurrect where quality rap music was!! Oh, so this iz a “money” song, too? Whateva; at least it sounds good wit Locco on tha hook! Great voice; stay motivated!! You’re on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit a motivated mindset; keep it up!! You on tha 2nd verse, too, comin’ through wit some nice shit fa tha ride! Glad you keepin’ shit up!! Ooh, an extra outro from Locco, too! “Ma’fuckaz!!” My Rating: 4.3

19. “Yeah”
Endin’ it wit a simple title like this, produced by Zachary “Zone” Glaros! >>> Kinda a confusing start wit tha soft beat and potential sample… Ehh, hook’s a lil’ boring, but I think it can work in your favor, since you’re hot on tha radar…, well, from my perspective. Tha 1st verse sounds good from you; sounds like you’re rappin’ shit with a lil’ more meaning. I’ll laugh/shake my head if you mention somethin’ money on a track like this… Tha 2nd verse sounds nice, too; this ain’t too bad of a song, overall… Ahh @ 3:04 “money!” My Rating: 3.9

Overall: An hour-and-a-half later, I completed this review. Well, I have to say that this iz near-classic material for me! Every song went hard as fuck, but two!! Tha two that didn’t were real shitty—not even okay!! Next time you even think about puttin’ music onto a CD, don’t eva think of puttin’ an a-tune on it!! I was lookin’ at one of my old video tapes and I said that I wanted a-tune to end after 2008; I was only 20, at tha time!! Either way, definitely tha hottest shit I’ve heard come outta dat Plaquemine; keep up tha great work and keep stayin’ rare!!! You don’t need anymore new music for another two years; this iz good and valuable enough!!

Review #1,278: Jay Jones "Only If You Kool Enough 2"

Reviewed on 3.25.2013 (Review #1,278)

I have a review from New Orleans’ Jay Jones Only If You Kool Enough 2 I finna peep out. Jay Jones iz tha son of New Orleans’ J-Dawg (from Black Menace). Start Time: 6:19 PM | End Time: 6:34 PM

01. “Intro”
>>> Very typical-soundin’ start, as it sounds like Drake-like music; yuck! Rhymes good, but why iz it always just that? :/ My Rating: 2.8

02. “Big Spender” Feat. Reap Howard
What’s up wit all tha letters and shit in tha filename (“Big Spenderrrr”)? >>> Sample in tha beginning as tha hook? People still use samples in songs as hooks? Rhymes ain’t bad, but who don’t rap about “hoes” these dayz? Not for me… My Rating: 3.0

03. “I Do Dis” Feat. Cheddaman
>>> This dude’s from Louisiana? None of this has a Louisiana feel at all for me; just  more mainstream music that’s nothin’ new… Once again, too Drake for me. Maybe, I’ll give some props to that feature. My Rating: 3.1

04. “King Leon (Remix)”
>>> Decent; lyrics are nothin’ new in tha rap game… My Rating: 2.9

05. “Finna Do” Feat. Lucci Lou
Still can’t believe tha featured artist stole tha reggae star’s name, smh!!! >>> More mainstream shit that’s not for me…; people still rappin’ ‘bout “haters,” lmao??? My Rating: 2.6

06. “Had It All”
>>> Not feelin’ tha sample in tha background; way too Drake-y for me… My Rating: 2.4

07. “Beat Breathe”
>>> A lil’ betta; corny hook wit lettin’ “tha beat breathe.” Really? There’s no such thing as a “beat,” now-a-dayz, since they all sound tha same!! My Rating: 3.2

08. “N & Out” Feat. Blaze
>>> Sounds like ‘90s babies-type shit; I ain’t a ‘90s baby! Random rappin’, once again… My Rating: 2.7

09. “Da Life I Chose” Feat. Kango
>>> Finally, a lil’ more mature. Funny how it’s tha titles that aren’t really for me that sound tha best for me on a below-average CD… My Rating: 3.4

½time: Not off to tha best start… Sounds like you’re really followin’ today’s trend of same-soundin’, mainstream-soundin’ beats, as well as rappin’ about what everyone raps about (explained in tha disclaimer); 2.9 for tha CD rating, currently.

10. “Let Me See Dat” Feat. Sty
>>> Scary start wit tha singin’, but I think I like it. A lil’ mainstream for me, but I like how you and tha singer’s comin’ through on this… My Rating: 3.3

11. “On My Way” Feat. Kango
>>> Intro ain’t even a rap instrument? Yuck, but it ain’t that bad… Not feelin’ Kango on tha versatile singin’ hook… My Rating: 2.3

12. “Show Out”
>>> Boring beat; boring lyrics, again!! My Rating: 2.2

13. “Yung Till I Die” Feat. Sty
>>> Ehh, okay wit tha Rich Boy sample on tha hook; this ain’t too bad for me, and tha lyrics are mature, luckily… Really, would you die without “hoes”??? That singer on tha 2nd verse sounds scary; kinda turned me off… My Rating: 2.7

14. “MyMyMy” Feat. Daniel Heartless
>>> Catchy hook; not really into tha flow on tha 1st verse… Yucky 2nd verse wit a bunch of lyrics that bother me (“money,” what else iz new)!! My Rating: 2.8

15. “Nuthin’ On Me” Feat. Jai Gatah
>>> A better beat… However, tha hook just makes me wanna just skip this ASAP!! My Rating: 1.8

16. “All 4 You” Feat. Kango
>>> Another scary hook and boring, sounds-like-everything-else-that-comes-out-today-soundin’ beat… Rhymes ain’t too bad, also… My Rating: 1.9

17. “Da Outro”
>>> Not too bad; different-soundin’ voice of yours ain’t that bad, here… My Rating: 3.3

18. “Ghetto Dreams” Feat. Sty
>>> Why a fade-in intro to a final song on tha CD? Weird… Once again, not really feelin’ tha singin’, but I guess it’s good for those ‘90s babies that like grindin’, on a typical level… Overall, not too bad… My Rating: 3.1

Overall: Well, unfortunately, I ain’t really feelin’ this CD. Maybe, you gotta wait a while ‘til tha rappin’ gets better. Can’t really listen to them random Wiz Khalifas and all that; stick to Louisiana and a Louisiana sound!! Oh, and check this out; nice and out tha box: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4n9fKgBFr_g

Review #1,277: C-Dub "Sovereignty Vol. 1"

Reviewed on 3.09.2013 (Review #1,277)

Got a review via services that I finna peep out, since this dude’s not from Louisiana: C-Dub Sovereignty Vol. 1, brought to you by Capital Clique Records. Start Time: 11:11 PM | End Time: 11:56 PM

01. “Intro”
A 2:58 intro? Bet there’s some rappin’ on it… >>> Sounds like Martin Luther King, Jr., or someone’s sample in tha beginning… Okay, I hear rappin’; sounds good over this underground beat. Tha speech continues on tha outro, here; a lil’ too much of it for a track wit rappin’ on it, despite this bein’ an ‘intro.’ My Rating: 3.7

02. “Never Fall”
>>> Anotha pretty-good beat; rhymes are nice and consistent, too. Despite tha somewhat-annoying “never” shit in tha background, I have to say that tha hook’s catchy. I like that “not yellow like corn” part! Tha 2nd verse sounds nice and consistent, too, wit your rhymes. Tha 3rd verse iz here and it sounds like a regular dude’s perspective; nothin’ new… My Rating: 3.9

03. “Going Ham”
>>> What? Low anticipation for me ‘cause this a Dido “Thank You” beat sample, smh? Plus, this title doesn’t even match tha mood of tha Dido beat… Tha hook has no energy to it; can’t go “ham” ta this! Where’s tha crunk music dayz? Rhymes durin’ tha 1st verse iz good, but it doesn’t recover my interest for tha whole track at all… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse…; it’s okay. Tha 3rd verse sounds like another dude; uh, why no ID on tha feature? At least they have better rhymes; smh @ not listing them! Consistent rhymes, here… My Rating: 2.9

04. “Alter Ego”
>>> Sounds like a good hook with tha beat; sounds like some nice, underground, white rapper-type rap. Tha 1st verse sounds good and consistent… I’m likin’ how tha 2nd verse sounds, too, wit this consistent, underground-soundin’ shit. Tha 3rd verse sounds good, too; lots of rhymes! My Rating: 4.3

05. “Get Rich Music”
>>> Boring content in tha hook; money songs are absolutely not for me after I got robbed! Why do so many artists have ta rap about money? If this wasn’t a service, I would’ve just skipped or skimmed through this, but I’m sitting here, hearin’ tha whole thing… Tha 1st verse ain’t too bad wit tha rhymin’ and flow… Tha 2nd verse ain’t bad… Tha 3rd verse almost sounded off-beat at one point; nothin’ really ta say about this verse… My Rating: 3.3

06. “Mix Shit Up”
>>> Sounds nice for a screwed vibe on tha hook… Tha 1st verse ain’t too bad wit this rappin’; sounds faster wit tha flow than I expected… Tha 2nd verse sounds good wit tha flow, this time. Tha 3rd verse’s aight, too… My Rating: 3.8

½time: So far, it’s decent; 3.7 for tha CD rating, currently.

07. “I Ain’t Hearing No”
>>> What iz this R&B shit doin’ on this “Vol. 1” CD? “Vol. 1”! Flow iz okay for a sexual Rap&B song, but it’s nowhere near for my tastes… Finally, rappin’ near tha 3:00 mark. See, this tha kinda shit I don’t like wit today’s R&B music: Why does tha rappin’ get faster and shit? This ain’t a race! My Rating: 1.1

08. “Blow A Nigga High”
>>> Sounds like random rappin’; tha rhymes are good ova this beat… Tha hook sounds regular; nothin’ catchy comin’ outta it… My Rating: 3.2

09. “Windows Up”
>>> Tha hook’s okay, here… Tha 1st verse has consistent rhymes; tha track’s decent, overall, and we’ll see how it progresses… Here we go wit another unlisted feature on tha 2nd verse… Good character; sounds like anotha good white dude from tha undaground… My Rating: 3.6

10. “In A Business Meeting”
>>> Nice flowin’ on this beat, durin’ tha 1st verse…; I guess this iz just a whole set of rappin’, without a hook? Rhymes are nice and consistent; good job… My Rating: 4.2

11. “Don’t Kill The Innocent”
>>> Sounds good on tha hook, here, wit tha message, beat you chose, and hook. Not really into tha line, “Worldwide like internet,” though; not too much into technology into rhymes… Nice job wit tha 1st verse; very good-type joint for tha undaground, here… Tha 2nd verse sounds real nice wit tha consistent punchlines; “don’t get lost like Gilligan.” My Rating: 4.3

12. “Letter To My Goons”
>>> Not bad for tha 1st verse… Tha hook sounds catchy wit tha “O.G.s in tha room.” Tha 2nd verse sounds aight at first, ‘til tha “money” rhymes came in, smh… Tha 3rd verse ain’t too bad, here… I hear anotha speech at tha end, which sounds good for an outro to tha CD… Then, tha hook repeats… My Rating: 3.8

Overall: A decent CD, overall.
