Review #254: Big Head "Realest Of The Trillest"

Reviewed on 7.02.2009 (Review #254)

Ya boy FrankieThaLuckyDog in review mode right now, ya dig. I only got 3 recent CDs ta review, and then, I'm back to my marathon! This next one iz for my big dawg Big Head, ya dig! He just dropped a new CD (I think) last week, and it an internet monsta! Let's see what I think of it. Here goes my review fa Big Head "Realest Of The Trillest"! Once again, 'preciate you bein' interested in knowin' what I charge fa commercials 'cause you KNOW I wanna make you one! Once again, it's currently a $50 check for 30 seconds (or $55 on Paypal) or tha recommended one, a $75 check for 60 seconds (or $83 on Paypal)! Start Time: 4:31 PM | End Time: 6:26 PM

Disclaimer:
I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me or have auto-tune in your vocals, I’m not buyin’ it!

01. "I Am The Real"
Looks like you ready to express your true "realness" wit this starting song here. You KNOW I'm lookin' forward to this shit! >>> Tha beginning wit that voice of tha title bein' said reminds me of old Louisiana shit. Likin' this intro and that beat too. Sounds like GREAT-ASS rappin' goin' on here in tha 1st verse!! Glad you actually socialize wit me at times; it means a lot 'cause I have A LOTTA talent, especially wit supportin'!! Definitely a GREAT 1st verse, tellin' err-body that you ARE "real" wit this Rap shit. Tha 2nd verse iz startin' off GREAT wit tha "I smoke purp," especially when that part echos. That's strong that you "roll wit chain snatchers" and shit like that. Anotha GREAT verse right there on tha 2nd verse! Keep this shit goin' wit anotha verse!! Sounds like some "New Orleans" visitin' here on tha 3rd verse (as your boy brought you sum choppaz). You did yo thang on tha 3rd verse; keepin' it TRILL wit this shit! I like that you added an ending: "it must be that choppa that took off his face!" Nice beat here once again! LOL @ tha quick fade-out beat ending. My Rating: 4.5

02. "Run Run" Feat. Boss Action
A title like that makes me think this joint gon be REAL, REAL TIGHT!! And it has that 4:30+ length too (4:35)!! A newbie on this shit too (Boss Action), so anticipation iz REAL HIGH!! >>> That beat intro sounds different too; likin' that instrument. Yea, tha hook iz tight!! An anthem about runnin' from tha choppaz choppin'! Here we go wit tha 1st verse wit Boss Action, reppin' "Out The Mud Ent." Glad he hookin' up wit you 'cause he doin' his thang, fa real, on this shit! Feelin' his flow a lot, as well as tha shit he be spittin' about tha hood and tha shit that be goin' on/goin' too far wit tha choppaz and shit. Now, we got you on tha 2nd verse, already strapped fa them hataz! Yuck, you said that "soak up" part that Soulja Boy Tell 'Em said in "Crank Dat (Soulja Boy)"; I feel that that "soak up" line iz so played out, from a gay year (2007), and from a gay rapper, so I feel that no one should quote it! Either way, you KNOW you held it down on tha 2nd verse, fa real! Not so Big Headish on this song, lol, 'cause Boss Action robbin' anotha verse from you, lol. He doin' his thang on tha 3rd verse; great shit. I should've known y'all split tha verse up 'cause now, it's you on tha 2nd 1/2 of tha 3rd verse. You're doin' a betta job here, tellin' me how y'all roll when it comes to what shit y'all be havin', as well as tha hood once again. Anotha real fast fade-out ending, lol. My Rating: 4.6

03. "Cuttin' Up" Feat. Shell, Mouse & Stebo
There's an ID Error on this song right here (according to tha mp3 files I have of this CD) 'cause on tha Word Of South board, somebody posted that Shell was on this song. I made sure I remembered that he was on here (mainly 'cause on tha [I think] 3Deep "First 6 Months (The Mixtape)" mixtape, Savage was featured on tha hook on Track 3 also, lol, not sourced). Either way, looks like a HUGE collaboration right here, Trill style!! And ANOTHA GREAT length too wit 4:47 on tha length!! >>> Sounds like a Mouse beat start; sounds REAL, REAL NICE in tha beginning!! Yea, there's even some "bow"in' in tha intro too!! That hook iz THA SHIT!! Luv tha "smokin'" and "mall" parts in tha hook! EVERYTHING in tha hook iz tha shit; THUMBS UP!! Yea, Shell in tha 1st verse, "sneakin' his nigga in this bitch!" DEFINITELY a GREAT JOB here from Shell; he NEVA disappoints it feels like when it comes to this gangsta shit!! Hearin' you on tha 2nd verse, and it's soundin' REAL NICE! You came in tha verse all fresh without even a whole line goin' by! You kept it fresh throughout tha whole entire verse! You KNOW that hook iz tha shit; GREAT, GREAT shit!! That Mouse on tha 3rd verse... I thought it would be Shebo. Great shit from him goin' on here; nothin' but fresh rhymes wit tha topic bein' fresh. What a GREAT song wit this GREAT CD!!! My Rating: 4.9

04. "Shine To Death" Feat. K.T.
I know tha K.T. dude from Young Ready's "That's How I'm Coming" CD... I don't know how great this song will exactly be, but wit that title, hopefully some good expectations!! >>> Yea, I didn't know what ta expect for a start... Sounds like older Rap/R&B music in tha beginning. Decent hook; forgot K.T. sings... Let's see what you got on tha 1st verse... Almost reminds me of a mainstream song now... I like all tha rhymin' tha same word at tha end of each line (e.g., "creation," "bakin'," "relation," etc.). Not bad on that 1st verse; your part on tha hook sounds good. Hearin' tha 2nd verse, and it sounds like a dude you seein' in tha mirror wantin' ta get his cake up like you. I like your "why do I feel stepped on like a do' mat?" part, although that sounds terrible that you "feel stepped on like a do' mat" at times. Nice lil' bridge goin' on here wit K.T., and then your part. Good thing you backin' up K.T.'s parts at times. My Rating: 3.9

05. "No Street Cred"
Just you this time... I dunno what to expect, but hopefully, you BLOW my mind wit this one!! >>> Kinda long of an intro ta judge, but I'm expectin' good still from you talkin' in tha beginning. Yea, to y'all listenin', Big Head's "talkin' ta you!" Nice interesting facts about you when you "were 12, 13, and 16." Pretty good job on tha 1st verse. Ooh, feelin' that hook A LOT wit your attitude and flow!! Great shit here!! Hearin' tha 2nd verse, and it sounds like you "be in Buffalo, NY." I'm a Long Island, NY representa, so it cool that you took a trip ta New York! Nice job on tha 2nd verse, and I'm GLAD ta support Louisiana music and its movements to tha fullest, ESPECIALLY Baton-MUTHAFUCKIN'-Rouge!!! Still keepin' it real on tha 3rd verse; enjoyin' your raw flow! Anotha fade-out ending; I guess all tha songs have nice, quick, fade-out endings. My Rating: 4.3

06. "I Will Not Stand Down" Feat. Quick & Hatch Boy
I thought I heard of Hatch Boy... not much though. Tha Quick dude I think iz new fa me, but wit that 4:30+ length again, you KNOW I'm anticipated fa this!! Tha title reminds me of tha last song, as I picture it bein' somethin' like "I...will NOT...stand down!!," kinda like where tha last song was like, "No... street... credibility!!" I'm prolly wrong though, lol. That would be cool though. >>> Tha beat intro makes tha track ready ta go off! Yea, here that hook!! Wow, tha beat iz GOIN' NUTS!! Retarded, tha dumb way!! I actually really luv this hook, ESPECIALLY how motivational it iz wit tha "swim 'til I drown" part!!! Tha 1st verse here wit you on it, and it's DEFINITELY on sum TIGHT shit; REALLY enjoyin' tha upbeatness here!! Real nice job on that 1st verse! Here's tha 2nd verse wit Hatch Boy, goin' hard!! Yea, he said, "Baton Rouge!" Yea, "you and yo niggaz retarded;" I agree! I like tha "ride around ... wit tha loud pound sound" part too; DEFINITELY keepin' it your way!! Here comes Quick on tha 3rd verse, and his "mouth piece fiya" (as he says). Sounds a lil' different from some of tha otha dudes on here, but he really just rappin' non-stop! Feelin' his near-end of tha verse where he just kept deliverin' shit! My Rating: 4.7

07. "The Beefs On"
I thought it was " 's," but I don't think it needs an apostrophe. Sounds like somethin's goin' on? I wanna DEFINITELY hear what you got ta say wit a title like that! >>> Sounds like a HARD Rock intro; UH OH!! Who KNOWS how DUMB this joint'll get?!?!?! Even "tha street lights out!" I thought tha beat would kick harder, but it's soundin' pretty good still! Tha intro goin' long here... Finally, tha 1st verse at :48. Nice intro though, as you held it down! Now, you just goin' off on this 1st verse here! I like how you said, "you wanna PLAY RAW?!," at 1:13; glad you RAISIN' yo attitude!! Beware of Big Head; he'll "pop you like a firecracka!" Yea, tha title can use tha apostrophe, but I don't think it needs it (which means that it's fine) 'cause tha hook says, "all street lights off, tha beefs on;" it all good. You doin' yo thang on tha 2nd verse here too, keepin' that STRONG attitude!! What a catchy-ass hook fa this shit; luvin' it!! I like your start to tha 3rd verse wit, "we are not tha same, I am a hooligan." I'm glad you didn't say, "martian;" that word for that sentence iz played out. Still keepin' it raw on this verse, especially since you just said, "you are Rex!" It almost sounds off beat on tha last hook (1st 4 lines). Real nice beat ending too; yea, it had tha fast fade-out too! My Rating: 4.8

08. "Where Da At"
Much shorter on tha length (3:22). How good will you make this song within a not-so-long length? >>> Ooh, nice beat start!! Yea, "Mouse drop tha track!" Sounds more clubbish on your end. Not bad hook, as it's meant for tha clubs. Part of tha beat (tha claps, tha vibe, and how it sounded before tha 1st verse started) sounds like "Drop & Gimme 50"? Not bad on tha 1st verse. Once again, good for tha clubs here, and keepin' that hot quality! Anotha short verse from you on tha 2nd verse, but still supplied tha track good. Ewe, a 50 second outro? Wit those short verses, you prolly could've added anotha one (even just a bridge). LOL, this one had a cold ending! My Rating: 4.1

½time: Well, compared to tha "Trill 4 Real" mixtape that I heard tha last time from you (which must've been good enough for you ta reply to it), this one iz MUCH, MUCH BETTA!!! LOOK @ THIS START TO THIS CD!!! Song after song, each one pretty much WENT HARD!! 1/2 of 'em I fell obsessively in luv wit (any song I rated 4.6 or higher)!! You REALLY gon need ta holla at me fa a commercial fa this CD 'cause I fuckin' am luvin' it!!! Keep doin' yo thang wit this trill-ass shit!! Average CD rating iz currently a WHOPPING 4.5!!

09. "My Dog" Feat. Bugz Calhun & Locco
Hope for a 5:00 flat song that this ain't depressin' or anything... I hope it a BIG anthem!! I don't know tha Bugz dude, but I just found out that Locco was a Bad Azz Ent. producer? Up and comin' Styll Standyn Music Group rapper B-Don, reppin' BR, has a new song out called "I'm So Fly". It's J-Bo, Puppy & him, and although kept a secret fa months, I recently found out from him that tha song was produced by Locco, so that's how I know who Locco iz. I'm curious ta see how he raps, so this should HOPEFULLY be anotha great song!! >>> Almost thought it was C-Loc singin' at first... I agree wit tha hook, fa real! As much as it's impossible fa people not in jail, I'll write my boyz in Louisiana (up and comin' rappers and shit) letters here and there. Speaking of that, I just mailed my boy Blu Black an award, 4 of my singles, and a letter. I mailed it last Saturday, priority. I want him ta hit me back (not me hittin' him up) 'cause it's tha right way! Speaking of jail, I wrote my boy Yung Yola (from BR) anotha letter in jail; hope he writes back 'cause I'm puttin' G-Lane on tha map! You're on tha 1st verse here, talkin' 'bout yo dawg "still jiggin';" thumbs up! Nice job on tha 1st verse, and you're on tha 2nd verse here too... You did anotha nice job on tha 2nd verse; nice job. Here comes tha 3rd verse here... Sounds like he keepin' it 100 like you when it comes ta sendin' shit. It's sad that people, especially in tha music business, have ta be in jail; WHY?!? And fa a long amount of time; WHY?!?! Good job on tha 3rd verse. Although tha last song had a betta beat, this one had betta lyrics, which I can relate to when it comes to my peeps in Louisiana goin' ta jail. Same rating as tha last song, but this one wins in a tie-breaker! My Rating: 4.1

10. "Perfect To Me"
Anotha question mark... Somewhat of a spoiler (since I don't look at tha tracklisting before I review each CD) 'cause someone on tha Word Of South board said this was their favorite song on this CD, wit it bein' about your mom (if I'm not mistaken). I remembered it was #10, so I dunno if it'll be fa me; no anticipation... >>> Doesn't sound that sad in tha beginning at least; glad ta hear a dark organ! Speakin' of you sayin', "shout out ta all tha muthaz goin' through drama," my mom iz EASILY goin' through that wit my 19 year-old brother. He's been addicted ta pills/weed since Late 2006/Early 2007. However, unlike y'all in Louisiana that don't cause problems to your family, my brother upsets my whole entire family, so that's what makes his drug addiction bad. Nice job on tha 1st verse, and I like tha "brothaz runnin' away" parts in tha 2nd verse 'cause it sounds like my brother. You mentioned in tha 3rd verse "Detroit slumz;" were you (or your mom) from Detroit? Great job wit tha lyrics on tha 3rd verse. Not bad fa a lyrical song; nice beat ta go wit it too without it soundin' all depressing. I hate when people make lyrical songs to where tha beat makes you wanna cry and shit! I'll add a lyrical rating ta this ta show appreciation to tha lyrics also! Lyrical Rating: 4.7 | My Rating: 3.8

11. "Dat Thang Go Bang"
Now, back to songs I can like more! Ooh, back up at 4:30+ on tha length too! Sounds like this gon be an anthem! Who will produce this? Let's see... >>> Sounds like Mouse on tha start wit tha beat intro. Yea, some "bow"s too in tha background! I guessed right, as you just said, "Mouse on tha track!" Tha 1st 1/2 of tha hook sounds clubbish while tha 2nd 1/2 sounds gangsta wit tha title; nice mix! I like how you said, "buku g's," at 1:13; showin' off that Louisiana slang to tha fullest, ya dig! Nice lil' 1st verse, and tha 2nd verse iz off to an aight start. Not bad on tha 2nd verse, as it kept this club banga consistent. I like how you quoted Young Ready a coupla times in tha 3rd verse wit "oh, you a gangsta bow; you a gangsta, how?" and "you ain't ready, like Young Ready." Also, tha "Coogi jeans on sag 'cause my pockets heavy" part was nice too! Definitely felt that 3rd verse tha best outta this song right chea. My Rating: 4.0

12. "Like Crawfish" Feat. Stebo
Dat Stebo dude back... I dunno about that title, so lemme see what kinda song this iz... >>> Sounds like a cool intro (reminds me of one of those other beats on here). LOL, feelin' that hook!! Y'all "'bout dat raw shit!" I like tha "betta back up like a crawfish" part in tha hook too; glad you made tha hook catchy! Now, to tha 1st verse... It's you, and you doin' yo thang on this shit. Really likin' that "we emerge from tha mud" part; great shit!! Remindin' me of Yung Yola on this shit wit tha way your voice sounds (wat up, G-Lane?). Here comes that Stebo dude on tha 2nd verse... I'm able ta hear his voice easier now. I like how he delivered that 4th line; nice and fast! He soundin' pretty nice on this shit; I can feel it. I like that there's a lil' bit of Bounce influenced in tha beat 'cause its beat style iz "dunn-dunn-dunn-dunn" (like sum old 90's Bounce) in tha beat sometimes. You on tha 3rd verse, always luvin' dat dolla bill! $ $ Great job on that verse too. I liked tha cold ending in this one! My Rating: 4.2

13. "Yeah They Like Dat" Feat. Lil' Phat & Jerzy Phat
Double Phats, lol? Iz this Jerzy one from New Jersey, or iz his name like that 'cause of a jersey? Wit 5:00 flat (again) on tha length, I have a feelin' this iz gonna be one of those songs that has a real catchy hook wit a nice, weird-soundin' Mouse beat! >>> I was wrong about tha weird-soundin' beat. Tha hook iz more dedicated to tha hoes on this one; not bad. Here we are wit tha 1st verse, and I think it's you. Got "a lyrical vet" here. Yup, it's you (as you just confirmed it in tha verse). My bad for tha unsureness 'cause I neva heard tha Jerzy dude. I like tha "rockin' too much Coogi" part; you LUV tha GREAT clothes!! Good job on tha 1st verse, and now, Lil' Phat (I was gonna say, tha Phat dude, but there's 2, lol). He sounded pretty good on his part; not bad. Tha otha Phat iz on tha 2nd 1/2 of tha 2nd verse here, lol. He "been thuggin' since he was 12 years old," so he good ta collaborate wit too! I liked Jerzy's part betta than Phat's. Tha 3rd verse iz here from you, startin' it off like Rocko, "my old school cost more than yo new school." Also, you said, "$70 'bauds;" LOL @ $70. I bought a pair at Sweats & Jeans on Long Island, and they were $40. I also bought 'bauds (as shorts) for I think $25 too. And speakin' of 'bauds, one thing that nobody really has iz a Girbaud shirt wit straps on it. I found it in tha Burlington Coat Factory in Northeast PA, and tha lady didn't know what ta charge, so she sold it ta me fa only $10! Nice job on tha 3rd verse, as you definitely kept it fresh, and this joint was pretty nice. My Rating: 4.1

14. "Get Stole"
I like this title; lookin' forward ta this one, and it's just you. >>> Yea, back to tha DARK beats and shit!! Sounds like a Mouse beat, although in tha beginning, you shoutin' out BIG dawgs (producers) like B-Real & DJ Big Wayne; thumbs up ta that! Yea, this iz on tha gangsta side wit "that gunplay" and "tha dumb way;" WOW, you just KEEP goin' wit this TIGHT shit wit err-thang goin' on here!! Str8 up tha dumb way here!! I like tha "from this hood ta that hood, you know we lurkin'" part; great, gangsta vibe right there! Yea, that hook iz nice; like tha title part! Tha 2nd verse iz DEFINITELY 100%+ hood wit tha lyrics!! Wow, you just KEEP goin' again!! Luv tha "demon in tha bushes" part too in tha 2nd verse; GREAT 2nd verse!! Hearin' tha hook again, and I hear tha title followin' up wit "like 2nd base;" that's REAL tight when it comes to this shit! Tha 3rd verse here iz pretty raw; your attitude AIN'T stoppin'!! Anotha REAL GREAT song, and a NICE comeback on tha 2nd 1/2 of this CD! Real nice cold ending too! My Rating: 4.8

15. "Stupid, Dumb & Retarded"
I thought tha last song was tha dumb way... THIS MIGHT BE BETTER!!! >>> I like that beat intro here, and this iz EXACTLY where tha last song left off!!! Glad you bringin' this topic to a title now!! Tha 1st verse iz soundin' pretty good, although I think I liked tha way tha lyrics sounded in tha last song betta. So, you said "Mouse," so I guess he produced this. I also heard "purp sacks" in tha 1st verse, so you KNOW that's watz good! Real nice 2nd 1/2 of tha 1st verse! Also, by hearin' tha hook repeat a bunch of times, it almost reminds me of JR Dot from Down Bad. Tha 2nd verse here iz soundin' pretty good too; keepin' this shit consistent! Yea, "Coogi down;" that's how I was 2 dayz ago. Tha 2nd verse sounded a lil' betta. Let's see... a 3rd verse! Interesting lyrics goin' on here wit tha consistency of tha track. Overall, tha otha song was betta. I like tha ending wit "I wish (I wish) a muthafucka would" repeatin' a bunch of times! Yea, it's just not ending!! Anotha 17 seconds left feelin' like fa'eva! My Rating: 4.6

16. "Trill Girl" Feat. Ms. Peaches
I anticipate #16 songs on CDs, but I think this gon be a downfall... 4:56 on tha length no less wit my low anticipation level... >>> For some reason, this sounds louder... Tha hook sounds pretty bad; what's wit her vocals? Auto-Tune bullshit! At least your vocals are Auto-Tune, so it ain't gonna be tha worst rating! Sounds like pretty good lyrics from you when it comes to bein' in tha bed wit someone, lol. I can't believe I gotta sit here for anotha 3 minutes, 10 seconds... Okay 2nd verse. Nothin' really ta say about tha 3rd verse. All I know iz this song iz over in 23 seconds! My Rating: 2.6

17. "I Got This"
Tha last song on this CD... I'm upset that this CD iz ending!! You DO know "you got this" when it comes to this Trill Ent. shit!! Keep doin' yo thang! Only 4:32 left, so let's see how we gon end this... >>> Sounds like a NICE ending song wit that GANGSTA/TIGHT beat intro!! This sounds like it would be like tha 1st song on here, but it tha last; lol @ tha opposite! Simple hook, but goes GREAT wit that beat! Yea, "fuck who you offendin';" it all about you when it comes to this shit! You did yo thang on tha 1st verse; feelin' that shit right there! Tha 2nd verse iz comin' through real right here, as you said, "they asked fa tha truth, so I spoke up." Nice "leave a whole in yo head like a donut" part too; you str8 dumb wit this shit! Nice start to tha 3rd verse wit "million dollar mind," as it reminds me of my boy Blu Black's label, Millionaire Minds Entertainment. I like all tha "like *insert name*" parts goin' on here. Doin' tha damn thang on tha 3rd verse here! I like tha last 15 seconds of just that beat; TIGHT shit!! My Rating: 4.6

Overall: Tha "Trill 4 Real" CD was good, but this was MUCH BETTA once again!!! You went STR8 DUMB on pretty much all tha songs on here!!! Lots of GREAT songs fa my iPod, and they should do REAL good on my playlist too!! Keep doin' yo thang, and I hope you like this review as much as you liked tha last one!!
