Review #337: Big Bandit "Country N Gutta Mixtape Vol. 3"

Reviewed on 11.28.2009 (Review #337)

It's Frankie here... Tryna get back inta action, ya dig! I 'bout ta do my next review fa Big Bandit and his Country N Gutta Mixtape Vol. 3 CD. I'll review it now, but will not reveal it online 'til I get my payment for tha review (since you said you wanted ta pay me for tha review). Here goes my review fa Big Bandit Country N Gutta Mixtape Vol. 3! Start Time: 6:46 PM | End Time: 8:16 PM
8.29.2016 EDIT: Anotha review not posted? SMH! If only I would’ve known how bad work was, at this time!! 2009 ain’t like it iz now!!!

Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0. Each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself with my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it) so any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. Radio (Intro)
Tha start of it all... How will it turn out fa this West Baton Rouge native? >>> LOL, it didn't need a beat intro, lol! Sounds like a DJ in tha beginning soundin' gr8 on here, ya dig! He sounded REAL good, and if that's you on :35, then you sound REAL gr8 on tha talkin' intro! LOL @ tha DJ: "At least 5 jointz that were my favorite" (on tha last CD). Who knows... wit me, if I would've heard it (I can still, right?), it could be all, all but one, all but two, etc.; it has happened before! I LUV my Baton Rouge/225 music SO MUCH, so you KNOW I can easily fall in luv wit sum GR8 Baton Rouge music!! That DJ on this intro iz SO FUCKIN' GR8, ya dig!! My Rating: N/A

02. "A Fool Right There"
Let's see how we gon start this thang off!! Let's see tha 1st eva joint I gon hear from you... >>> I thought it sounded cool for tha beginning, but I don't know about startin' a song off wit a jacked beat (wit tha "Do Dat Dere" beat)... It still a cool hook, and you did a pretty good job on tha 1st verse. Tha 2nd verse sounds like you're doin' ya thang wit this Rap shit; good. I like your bridge at 2:55 wit tha "gon jigg" part. My Rating: 3.7

03. Skit: Inside The Club (Fuckers)
Looks like a skit; let's see... >>> LOL @ this dude (iz this tha DJ again)! Funny shit! My Rating: N/A

04. "Country N Gutta"
What will it be? It has a good title... >>> Uh, no. Why didn't I point this out in tha last song? I feel so fuckin' embarassed even typin' what jacked beats are used 'cause they should be R.I.P.'d ("Dougie")! Tha 1st verse iz okay, but I really don't have interest in this beat used for tha 1,000,000th time at all! I like tha vibe of you spittin' on tha 2nd verse wit tha "jiggin'" and you havin' luv fa tha DJ playin' ("DJ New Orleans"). Either way, when I saw tha cover of this mixtape, I thought I'd hear a lotta exclusive, special 225 shit, so HOPEFULLY, you'll get to tha original songs 'cause that's tha only way ta get on my radio show! Not really feelin' tha 3rd verse; HATE tha gay-ass dances that all those bullshit rappers come out wit ("Stanky Legg" and all dat)! :td WAYYYY TOO LONG TOO!! My Rating: 2.8

05. "Welcome 2 Da Hood" Feat. D-Nile & Truth
What will this be? >>> Again, it sounds like a jacked beat, but luckily, I'm not too familiar wit it (I think). Tha beat itself iz just so-so (produced by Truth)... You sound aight in tha beginning so far. You sound like a white rapper on this one... Not bad on tha 1st verse, and it sounds like it's exposin' tha fakes; good job. Tha 2nd verse iz just like tha 1st verse wit tha exposin' and also expressin' your city. I like how "hum brah" was said in tha 3rd verse also; good job wit that verse too. My Rating: 3.6

06. "Outside Dick" (Absoult Feat. Big Bandit)
This title already has me rollin'!! :rofl I HOPE it sounds good though!! >>> This lady on tha song iz doin' her thang; nice hook. She did her thang wit tha 1st verse, givin' tha listeners what she feels. She did tha damn thang on tha 2nd verse too, keepin' this shit poppin'. You're on tha 3rd verse, and it sounds like you're really inta what tha lady spit on this; get your plate ready, lol! No listed producer, so iz this a jacked beat? This sounds more original this time. My Rating: 3.8

07. Radio Skit: Interview (Wanna Do Somethin')
I'm seein' 2 titles (on tha back cover and on tha mp3 info). When I see 2 titles like this, I gon combine 'em (e.g., "Radio Skit" on tha back cover and "Interview (Wanna Do Somethin')" on tha mp3 info). Let's see what it's about... >>> Yea, tha DJ iz back!! He a FOOL wit sayin' "big dawg!!" :tu REALLY liked how he said, "bruh," at :35, ya dig! WTF @ tha Mike Jones quote at 1:27ish; a lil' too old? I would luv ta hit up this DJ and see if he can be cool wit me and shit, ya heard me! Are we gettin' to this laid back song, or what are we gettin' inta somethin' else? GR8 radio skit!! My Rating: N/A

08. "Yes Sirr"
Good, an original track produced by E.P.! I have a feelin' this'll be good, ESPECIALLY if there's 4:41 on tha length!! >>> Sounds like a Beat Flippa sound on tha beat intro; iz he cool wit Beat Flippa? Still tryna find out exactly who stole Beat Flippa's sounds and shit... Tha hook sounds gr8 on this shit; you're FINALLY gettin' a big up on this mixtape! You did ya thang on tha 1st verse wit this shit; gr8 job! Keep this shit up 'cause I look forward ta hearin' tha rest! You feelin' good on tha 2nd verse; gotta luv tha BR lyrics and shit! You soundin' good on tha 3rd verse too. Good thing you're mixin' club and street lyrics here. My Rating: 4.3

09. "Ain't 'Bout Dat" Feat. D-Nile
Back to tha letter producers (lol) as tha last song was E.P. on tha beat; now, it's A.D., lol. I look forward ta this one too! Aye, if it's original, I'm ALREADY lookin' forward to it!! >>> I heard a choppa in tha beginning (I guess as A.D.'s tag), so you KNOW this has ta be good! Ooh, tha beat iz here, and it's soundin' REAL nice and dark here!! Looks like you got tha gr8 original material here, so it's a MEGA plus!!! By listenin' to you rap on tha 1st verse, I almost feel like I'm either watchin' you in tha studio, watchin' you on TV, or hearin' you on tha phone rappin', ya dig! I see at tha end of tha 1st verse, you exposed those people that try ta steal Louisiana slang terms; that's right, tell 'em!! Nice job wit tha hook too!! Tha D-Nile dude adds a nice lil' ending to tha hook too wit how he sounds! Speakin' of him, he's on tha 2nd verse, and he sounds good wit what he be spittin'! LOL @ tha movie It; glad you mentioned "it," lol! You sound like you goin' hard on tha 3rd verse, keepin' it grimy wit tha lyrics! SMH @ combinin' "Nu$$ie & V.I.C." together for a "Get Silly" quote. Nu$$ie should NOT have ta do wit dat Louisiana slang-term jacka (V.I.C.) 'cause Nu$$ie's tha real one! My Rating: 4.5

½time: Sounds like a somewhat "gotta get used ta you" type of beginning, but you're doin' tha damn thang towards tha end of tha 1st ½! Keep up tha gr8 work wit these original tracks!! Tha average CD rating currently iz at 3.8!

10. Westside Warriors
Thought it was a song, but it's just a skit; let's see (should be good)... >>> I heard Max Minelli in this (durin' a sample), and all tha otha Baton Rouge people bein' sampled; it sounded gr8 wit tha mixin'! And, who iz tha (prolly new) producer wit tha tag at tha end? I guess I 'bout ta find out! My Rating: N/A

11. "'Bout 2 Bomb" Feat. D-Nile & Truth
Was that Truth's tag on tha last song? I guess it was, although it said a different name... Either way, for almost 3 minutes long, I think I feel anotha GR8 song comin' here!! Even Truth iz rappin', so this should be gr8!! >>> I knew based off tha title that this would be on sum good shit! Tha intro sounds like it's on a hype, so that's watz good! Tha 1st verse here sounds like producer/rapper Sims. Nice job on tha 1st verse, and tha hook (which was also in tha beginning) iz gr8! Nothin's betta than gettin' hype on a track! Tha 2nd verse sounds pretty good too, as tha dude iz keepin' it street here! Nice job wit tha 2nd verse, and I'm lookin' forward ta tha 3rd one!! Ooh, tha beat changed at 2:03; good shit! Yea, tha 3rd verse iz doin' its thang here! My Rating: 4.4

12. Radio Skit: Interview (How I Rock)
I look forward ta this interview too! >>> A lil' gay for tha start wit tha gay "This Is Why I'm Hot" beat in tha background. :td Tha DJ sounds obsessed wit tha "How I Rock" thing in tha background or whateva it iz; sorry, I can't take jacked beats serious! Oh, it's just an interview (just like tha last one wit tha "laid back beat" or whateva). Okay one here, although I wouldn't exactly go for it. My Rating: N/A

13. "Out Da Frame"
Anotha producer on tha list here: Kolord Pimp. I like tha name of tha producer, and it looks like you gon beat it "out da frame" on this one, so I wanna hear what you got! >>> Tha hook iz pretty good and so iz tha beat. You sound pretty good on tha 1st verse as you flow good wit this beat. Tha 2nd verse sounds good on this too, as you're doin' a nice job on this shit right here. Keepin' it goin' wit tha 3rd verse too, as you're all in dat club/bed vibe. What was up wit that skippin' at tha end? My Rating: 3.8

14. "Go 'Head (Buss It)"
E.P. on tha beat (hope ta hear from A.D. again), and it looks like you gon go wild on this one; I hope so!! >>> LOL, it's for tha "thick gurlz." Sounds like a catchy hook; lol @ tha Young MC "buss it" sample in it. Tha 1st verse sounds pretty good too, as you're deliverin' a catchy "ass wobble" banga. Keepin' tha catchiness continuin' on tha 2nd verse. Tha 3rd verse (or bridge, whateva it was) was aight, a lil' too on tha dancin' side. My Rating: 3.7

15. "Outchea Grindin'"
Looks like it could be a good title. >>> This iz where tha embarassment level iz at a FULL 100%. Ugh, do I have ta type it... *Embarassed* "Out Here Grindin'" beat. Sorry, those times from Summer 2008 can go! Even tha DJ Khaled intro and Akon parts were kept, which makes me puke more! As far as you spittin', it's good, but still, I can't fall in luv/take this serious! My Rating: 2.5

16. Radio Skit: Interview (Keep On Pushin')
Good, anotha interview! Even down ta tha title in parenthasis sounds like a jacked beat song *yawn*... >>> ...Which it iz (lol @ tha fade-in?). I hear dat you had "mistakes in '08." I had buku mistakes in '07, and I made sure all tha '07 shit (EXCLUDIN' tha Louisiana connection that started which I'm buildin' up) disappeared quickly once I fell in luv wit Louisiana shit! Okay interview; I don't have ta say anything else. My Rating: N/A

17. "U Ain't Heard"
There's a spelling error on tha back cover: It says "Anit" instead of "Ain't," just so you know. Anyway, produced by Big Blaze this time; I hope it's good!! >>> I like tha beginning dude wit tha deep voice. :tu So, you were born December 16, 1980 I see (I won't forget; I rememba my birthdayz)... I might've saw it on your profile 'cause I rememba tha "1980" part. Tha beat iz a lil' borin', nearly at tha "average" point... Sounded like you were deliverin' what you were deliverin' on tha 1st verse. Tha hook iz aight too. I like how you keepin' it street on tha 2nd verse. When you said, "If you fuck wit my niggaz, then you gon make me lose it," I have ta ask: What iz it like bein' cool wit people on an everyday basis? I'm still waitin' fa tha time fa it ta happen. I like all tha "ya dig" shit on tha 3rd verse; pretty catchy. My Rating: 3.6

18. "Da Bandit Iz Here!!!"
Looks like a HUGE expression wit 3 exclamation points as well as havin' 5:53 on tha length! Tryna REALLY grab my attention? Let's see if it's worth it! >>> Why iz there no production credit? Neva mind, what's wit this... *forgets; "Top Back"?* ...beat? *Yawn* Tha horrible '07 dayz... I think I'll be able ta handle this one though, especially if you're comin' through on this one. Nice job deliverin' tha 1st part, and now, tha 2nd part switched up ta tha "Get Silly" beat. I thought you criticized tha people stealin' from Louisiana? That part was pretty good though, and now, right at tha 2:00 mark, you switched to tha poor, watered down, played out, yucky, 2008 ONLY "A Milli" beat. You sound only okay on this. Some of these beats lose my interest and get me distracted! Tha beat switched again about 43 seconds later, as tha 4th part iz tha (I forgot) beat; it sounded good though! Either way, tha 5th part iz tha "I'm A King" beat. LOL @ throwin' a Down Bad quote on this jacked beat, lol! LOL @ how you ended tha 5th part wit "it gangsta," and then, tha 6th part turned into tha "That's Gangsta" beat from last year. You did ya thang on that part. I don't know tha 7th part's beat, but you're soundin' pretty good on it. You could've forgotten about tha 8th part's beat (The Game "Dreams"). Anotha horrible year of 2005 (not really for music though), as I had no people ta talk to, and it was fucked up. Speakin' of "Dreams" and horrible years, back to tha horrible year of '07 on tha 9th part wit tha Young Jeezy/Keyshia Cole "Dreamin'" beat. You did an okay job on dat part. Tha 10th part iz tha "Good Life" beat. Could've forgotten about dat beat too. ;) Tha ending did sound pretty good though. My Rating: 3.5

19. "Feel Me On Dis (Outro)"
Aight, one more left... No producer named, so let's hope for somethin' good... >>> HORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRIBLE beat choice!! Why would you choose somethin' wit an annoyin'-ass sample in tha background?? SO FUCKIN' HORRIBLE!! Either way, I gon tune dat out, and focus on what you're sayin'... Looks like it's not a song, and more of a shout out list. Ooh, you gave a shout out ta tha Lay-Lo click (Max & J-Von)! Glad you gave a shout out ta Young Ready, and you gave a shout out ta D.$.G.? Was it D.$.G. outta G-Lane, or your own D.S.G. dude? Nice job wit tha shout outs, but did it have ta end so soon? Oh no, a song!! You gon HAVE ta get graded on this one too!! I mean, you're spittin' good shit, but tha beat HAS ta count towards tha grade too!! Huh, what's up wit tha last 30 seconds? :confused It was like a clip from a Soul song, and then, some rappin' durin' tha last 8 seconds. My Rating: 2.7

Overall: I think it was pretty good, overall. Mainly, I was 'bout tha original tracks. Tha jacked beat ones kinda weren't called for, but you know how that iz... I guess, stay in touch. You want a commercial? Holla at me! I'll give you tha prices!
