Snowed in on this day off of college, lol! It gives me some free time ta catch up so here goes my next review! DEFINITELY anticipatin’ here wit it bein’ a tri-combination!!! That’s 3x a charm!!! Here goes my review for C-Loc, Dat Boy A & DJ Wookee “Camp Life 2010”! Start Time: 5:08 PM | End Time: 6:09 PM
Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it) so any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. T-Mck Intro
>>> Thumbs up ta Dat Boy A fa joinin’ Camp Life and tha “people who smoke purp.” My Rating: N/A
02. “Stick ‘Em Up” Feat. Young Ready
Lemme check this shit out and see what we got!! >>> Likin’ tha beat start here; has a good feel for Baton Rouge! Likin’ how Loc comin’ through on tha hook here! Reminds me of other songs from Baton Rouge that sounded like they were popular in tha undaground. As for A-Wissel on tha 1st verse, he was good but a lil’ cheesy wit tha “Turn My Swag On” and I lol’d at tha “Make Tha Trap Say Aye” part. Nice job from Loc on tha 2nd verse; gangsta/gutta/G-shit!! Here’s Ready on tha 3rd verse, soundin’ like Mouse from “Ric Flair” in tha beginning wit tha “well, FUCK IT!!” part, lol! More hot shit spit from Ready! DEFINITELY lookin’ forward ta tha rest of this mixtape!!! My Rating: 4.5
03. “Yea, Yea, Yea”
You KNOW if there’s a title wit tha same word x amount of times, I can guarantee you it GON BE TIGHT!!! >>> I don’t know who’s on tha beat but it sounds like B-Real a lil’ bit mixed wit Q-Red. C-Loc doin’ tha damn thang on this beat wit tha dirty lyrics! Not used ta him makin’ dirty songs but he doin’ a nice job here! Tha “inches” part makes me think of tha snow outside; I think we do have “9 inches” of snow here in NEPA.

04. “The Recipe”
A C-Loc kinda title here (since his last CD was “Scrape The Plate”) so you KNOW I’m lookin’ forward!! >>> Nice combo of tha beat intro wit tha “creepin’ up” sounds!! Sounded like a good 1st verse from Loc; glad you keep spittin’ some hot shit out. Tha 2nd verse from… not sure who. Iz it DJ Wookee ‘cause he on tha cover? I doubt it… I think anotha dude came through on tha 2nd ½ of tha 2nd verse. Oh wait, it’s Dat Boy A, in his Wissel alias. He’s doin’ a betta job than tha 1st ½ of tha 2nd verse dude! Tha 3rd verse DEFINITELY hot here!! Sounds like it’s tha best verse outta this song; REAL GR8 flow!! All about keepin’ it street to tha fullest!!! My Rating: 4.3
05. “Laughing At ‘Em”
LOL @ tha title! Looks like y’all’ll go hard on this, no matter what! >>> Slow beat here, which iz different for a title like this. Looks like it’s catchy on tha hook; not sure how good for those 21+ though. LOL @ tha C-Loc verse on tha 1st verse!! “Pissin’ on his Coogi” he said, lol? I agree, “too many nuts held on Boosie.” Like I said on my radio show, “We got plenty of people. It’s not like we’re gonna die without Boosie!” Cool flow/voice from A-One this time on tha 2nd verse! Who was tha dude on tha phone around tha 2:30 mark? It led into a C-Loc verse for tha 3rd verse. He has a good attitude fa this verse, lol. Tha ending sounded cool without tha beat, lol! My Rating: 4.3
06. “Put That On Me” Feat. Birdman
I see this bein’ gr8 once again!! >>> Mixed up start (sounds like a mix of things) wit Birdman in tha beginning? Sounds laid back here and it’s okay for a start… Sounds like it’s a really long 1st verse? No hook… Went right inta a Birdman verse; it ain’t recycled? I can’t picture y’all teamin’ up; seems too mainstream. Now, I hear tha hook. Good but doesn’t seem like a Baton Rouge style. My Rating: 4.1
07. “Stunt Hard”
Bleh… No wonder why it’s only 1:44. >>> NOW this makes me think tha last song was just a “jacked beat” song.

08. “Cold Blooded” Feat. Lil’ Boosie
I like tha title!! Hope it’s good for a song under three minutes!! >>> This sounds like it has a hot start; nice upbeat dark beat here! I’m anticipatin’ tha song here wit tha Loc intro and now, Loc doin’ his thang on tha 1st verse! Yea, “clean out yo ma’fuckin’ ears” (dedicated ta those ain’t listenin’)!

½time: A REAL NICE mixtape here!! Where’s Wissel? It has been songs without him durin’ tha 2nd ¼ of this mixtape… Either way, NICE start wit a 4.3 average CD rating currently!!
09. “Get That Money” Feat. Gucci Mane
I see this title and think of tha Beat Flippa/Kevin Gates/IL Duce track two years ago. What’ll this title be like? >>> Sounds more recent here; cool beat start. Sounds like somethin’ bound ta be popular in Baton Rouge once again. Huh, I heard Gucci Mane? Maybe this izn’t original? Couldn’t even find it on Google, smh. Tha lady on tha hook wasn’t that bad. I don’t think this has a Baton Rouge feel now… So random ta hear Gucci on tha 2nd verse… Huh? He said, “’08?”

10. “Get Money”
Was tha last title an error? It was labeled as “Get That Money” and this one iz “Get Money”?

11. “I’m Back” Feat. Bun B
Didn’t feel like it ‘cause your last CD (Loc) wasn’t that long ago. >>> Terrible start in tha beat; yuck, it HAS ta be a jacked beat!

12. “Top To Bottom” Feat. Big Head
A WHOLE five minutes… Hope it’s good. >>> Not again!!

13. “Hole In My Head”
I think I gon DEFINITELY like this; I like tha title as it iz! >>> LOL @ tha start!! I REALLY wanted some A-Wissel and now, here he iz singin’ tha hook!

14. “Working These Hoes”
What’ll this be like? >>> Thought it was gonna be a Q-Red beat based off of tha title. For a song only 2:25 (Baton Rouge, lol), tha intro iz longer than 25 seconds? LOL… Sounds like a catchy Loc flow but it’s not tha type of shit I’d hear from him. I still think it’s a cool song and tha hook sounds catchy. I wonder who exactly iz doin’ tha hook ‘cause it was good. Loc doin’ tha damn thang here again on tha 2nd verse; REAL raunchy!!! Yea!! “Workin’ in tha middle like I’m diggin’ fo gold!!”

15. “Making It Look Easy” Feat. Young Ready
I know it iz for you, Loc. How ‘bout A; will he be on this song? I doubt it since it’s only 2:16.

16. “Gettin’ To The Top”
Even if you don’t “get to tha top,” you’re still a legend, regardless! >>> Anotha jacked beat song; 90’s style? At least it ain’t a Jay-Z beat! Not that interested in this; okay 1st verse from Loc. Tha gurl on tha hook aight; don’t know who she iz. Sadly, not Dat Boy A on tha song; Loc doin’ tha 2nd verse though. I think tha 2nd verse was betta than tha 1st verse here… Now that it’s February 2010, where’s “Camp Life Vol. 6”? It’s no longer “January 2010…” My Rating: 2.8
Overall: A good mixtape but could’ve been betta. I didn’t really go for tha jacked beat songs. Loc has been in this game for at least 15 years now; why rap on other peoples’ beats at this age?
