Review #1,805: Level "Deal Or No Deal 2"

Reviewed on 6.30.2019 (Review #1,805)

Squishin’ a bunch of shit in my schedule for tha end of tha month (half-end of tha year). Almost ready ta shake back fa tha 2nd ½ of 2019, as it’s been a struggle, so far… Luckily, we have some good, upbeat music I finna review! Courtesy of Mayham Entertainment, here goes my review for Level Deal Or No Deal 2, tha sequel to his 2011 Deal Or No Deal mixtape! L-to-tha-E-to-tha-V-to-tha-E-to-tha-L!! Start Time: 8:23 AM | End Time: 9:29 AM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

© 2019 CD Review (Review #1,805) reviewed on 6.30.2019 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. “Deal Or No Deal 2” feat. DJ Supa Mike
Mike on da feature…; hmm… >>> Hyped-up intro; likin’ how you comin’ through in tha beginning, too! “Deal Or No Deal; I’mma still keep it real!” Even tho tha typical “money” shit throughout tha beginning of tha 1st verse, I’m likin’ your “Chuck E. Cheese” reference, fa some reason. Definitely likin’ how you build your aggression, throughout tha verse! Great job, overall; deliverin’ tha aggressive party rhymes, at they finest! My Rating: 4.0

02. “Don’t Do Dat”
You been ‘bout tha “Dat” titles; keep ‘em comin’! #02 on tha 1st Deal Or No Deal was “Hit Dat” and now, here we are with anotha “Dat”! >>> Sounds like a less-hyped beat, as far as tha energy but I’m diggin’ your repetitive hook, here. Bass-boomin’ 1st verse, here, comin’ through, “Still rollin’ like windmills!” We gotta link up tha next time I go to BR! You, me & B-Real need ta roll a jigga! Frfr!! Good shit wit how you come through on tha 1st verse, Lev! Likin’ how tha 2nd ½ of tha 2nd hook has added sounds to tha beat; hot shit! Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse and it str8. Sometimes, you gotta throw in tha “money” shit just to fill tha lines up; it iz what it iz, I guess? More added sounds for a full hook, on tha 3rd hook! Nice! Changed up, too, on tha 2nd ½ of tha 3rd hook! Glad you keepin’ tha interest in me up, as you tryna keep these people on they toes! My Rating: 4.3

03. “Feet Work”
Tha song you pushin’, right nah… >>> Sounds like tha classic-soundin’ BR production; good shit! Yeah, you got tha “Feet”-related titles on lock! Gotta keep ‘em movin’! Good, catchy shit to get da energy flowin’ on these lazybeez! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s definitely jammin’; can’t deny it! Good shit; keep tha energetic vibes comin’! Gotta luv Louisiana, of course! I’m 12 ½ years in, now! Luv tha continuous energy comin’ outta tha 2nd verse; can’t deny it! Why would someone deny it? Tha “Js” and “shades” references remind me of YaBoiBeezy and his 2011 “Good” track (“I got them shades on, I got them Js on…”); dope shit! My Rating: 4.7

04. “Stomped Out” feat. DJ B-Real
Tha song I’m tryna push, as I have a #StompedOutChallenge commercial series comin’ July 14th! That’s right! I been pushin’ B-Real with his Southern Tea Awards nomination by releasing 41 commercials to vote for him (including today, I have 14 commercials remaining for tha #Vote4BrealChallenge series). For this new challenge, I got 71 new commercials comin’ till September 22nd, right b4 tha fall starts! Now, as far as tha song’s review goes… >>> Luv how you feelin’ “tha one right here” vibe wit B-Real on tha beat! If “Feet Work” didn’t have enough energy, here comes this, right after! Definitely dope wit what y’all come up with, on tha hook! Luv how B-Real goes, “Uh huh…; uh huh…!” Then, just says, “Stomped out, stomped out…” That’s all he needs to make me luv this, to tha fullest! He just has to let his voice breathe on tha track! Frfr!! As far as what you got goin’ on throughout tha 1st verse, talk about energy!! You neva let it down since I first heard you, back on February 16, 2008 (same day I first heard B-Real, too)! Untouchable, Level!! Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse and you got shit goin’ on, once again! “My name Level, so it’s always on that level wit me;” great reference to your name! I ain’t gon lie, it’s a **PERFECT-RATED** track from me; can’t deny it! My Rating: 5.0

05. “I Shoulda Never” feat. S-8ighty
>>> Had a feelin’ this was gonna be a lil’ iffy fa me, for a start, here… Well, it’s more on tha slower tip, as we burned so much energy off da last two tracks! Hearin’ tha hook from S-8ighty and it’s aight; why tha “straight up” adlibs, like Trav Scott? Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and you make this sound better, as tha beat sounds better with tha sounds… S-8 spittin’ a verse for tha 2nd verse, here… “Creepin’” in tha “DMs,” huh? I like it/stereotype it best with Zack Martino slippin’ into DYSON’s “DMs” for their “Mood” collab! Movin’ on, it was an aight verse; I’ll give it its props, regardless… My Rating: 3.8

06. “This Way” feat. Ms. Tee
N’awlinzin’ it up! >>> Didn’t catch tha producer you shouted in tha beginning, here, but it’s on tha N’awlinz tip, fa tha production! More energy, here; nice job wit tha hook, Level! Non-stop deliverin’ wit tha energetic vibes throughout tha 1st verse, here; good shit! Err-body gon be twerkin’ all summer ’19! Good to see Tee on tha 2nd verse, here, deliverin’ great rhymes fa this twerk session! Let Lexy Panterra join in, too; my gurl! No wack shit from da female here! Of course! Likin’ Tee’s “wobbly” and “twerk” shit before tha final hook, too! Go, girl! My Rating: 4.6

07. “Give No Fucks”
>>> Continuously linkin’ up wit Q-Red for tha productions, throughout your career; dope! Definitely likin’ tha beginning production and wit tha hook, I didn’t expect a Future sample. I’m likin’ it, tho, as it’s not too often you hear a hook wit just a sample in it, these dayz. Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and you got tha energy on lock, of course! Though I don’t fuck wit tha “money” rhymes, you seem to catch my attention wit tha references (this time, “exercise”). Likin’ those lil’ interludes wit tha Q-Red beat sounds before each verse! Great idea, Q-Riggity-Riggity-Red, lol! Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse and it’s pretty nice wit your aggression! Gotta not “give” tha “fucks,” especially since we both 31! My Rating: 4.4

08. “24-7” feat. Big Poppa & BBE AJ
>>> Gives me a Trill Ent./Mouse-type vibe; likin’ this vibe! Good lil’ hook, even tho tha voice sounds more computerized than Louisianaized? Big Pop? Yeah, his voice a lil’ too altered to where I couldn’t recognize it was him, at first. Either way, his semi-corny, but energetic rhymes are decent for tha 1st verse, here. Here you are, on tha 2nd verse; glad you don’t have a computerized voice! Can’t deny tha energy; keep it comin’! Let’s hear what this AJ dude got, on tha 3rd verse… Sounds like a newer generation of DJ B-Real, wit how he sounds; anticipated for future appearances? Great energy; makes me anticipate tha next BR trip! Gotta catch you at a concert, Level! My Rating: 4.1

½time: Luvin’ tha energy and how you continuously bring it to tha table, Level! Neva give up on it! You’ll neva get old! Currently, a 4.4-rated CD! Great features, excellent production & you know what it takes to make me give props & review, Level!

09. “Quarterback” feat. J Buc & Mouse On Tha Track
Leggo! >>> Likin’ that this sounds like a cartoon, in tha beginning! J Buc on tha beat; definitely nice! Good lil’ hook; different kinda energy from tha continuous, top-notch energy on this CD! This has more of an addictive type of energy! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and this shit’s nice; you & Buc always have good chemistry, from earlier in tha decade to tha “Ms. Parker” shit (2016)! Dope shit! Glad y’all got anotha one, here! Now, here’s some1 I wanna link up with, tha next time I’m in BR: Mouse! Here he iz on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit his catchiness, as always! Can’t deny tha Mouse! Hope he neva ages! We #80sBabiesInOur30s, so you know we’ll always be in this! Him and B-Real are only 23 dayz apart from each other, fa those who ain’t know! My Rating: 4.5
EDIT: Didn’t catch J Buc’s hidden voice on this!

10. “G-Shit” feat. Spitta & Box
Shout out to Box, as I met him at tha DJ’s Club Elite club, in BR, on February 27th, earlier this year (Pic #06 in link)! >>> This sounds nice; this a better version of tha less-hyped vibe (“Don’t Do Dat”); likin’ this beat and tha repetitive “G-Shit” hook! Keepin’ it goin’ wit tha 1st verse, Level, comin’ through wit your energetic shit fa tha streets! This tha shit we need! Not that typical-soundin’ shit err-body tryna be on, where it don’t even sound like Louisiana. Last night, I was watchin’ BET Jams’ Mixtape Playlist playlist and within tha 1st 20 minutes, three rappers had a money reference in they name! I’m like, damn, tha world gettin’ sad, ain’t it? Then again, there’s always peeps like you & err-body you have featured on your CD in Baton Rouge/Louisiana to bring life to tha shitty rap world we livin’ in, today! Now, we got Spit on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit tha tightness, as always! “I spit out tha box, on anotha level, I must admit! Spitta, Box & Level…;” of course, he knew to put you, Box & himself all in two bars! Pure tightness; don’t get no betta than tha #80sBabiesInOur30s shit! Outside of tha ‘80s babies, here comes Box, who was six months & two weeks shy of bein’ an ‘80s baby. Either way, for his age, he got it at all times! He got good quality for tha streets, clubs, whateva; glad he fit in well, still! My Rating: 4.4

11. “Represent”
>>> Anotha nice beat; luvin’ tha energy, once again! Good hook, Level; you know what it iz! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and you can’t deny tha energy, of course! Tha producers know what it iz witchu and you know what it iz wit deliverin’ fa them! Oh, I’m luvin’ how you put tha area codes together wit tha math! See, bein’ autistic, I luv shit like dat! Been like dat since a youngin! Like, pureness: “220 + 5 & whataya get? You get a Baton Rouge nigga… 504 & whataya get? … 318 & whataya get? … 337 & whataya get?” Dumb shit!! Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse and it’s pretty nice! Lol, non-Louisiana area codes on tha 2nd verse’s math! You got a “3rd verse” comin’ through, too; let’s see what kinda math gon come outta this (Korea, Canada, Puerto Rico, lol?)… Well, this was just a quick verse; not bad… My Rating: 4.5

12. “I Love It” feat. Tay Raww
>>> Sounds more simple than tha hyped-up anthems from this CD… This more on a mainstream tip, fa me; a lil’ too simple wit tha hook… I’ono if I’ll “love it,” so we’ll see what y’all gon bring… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s aight; I rather your twerk-soundin’ anthems than this regular-paced sex shit. I will admit, tho, that sometimes, tha production takes me back to a Hypnotized Mindz vibe, for some reason. Not that “I love it” like those, tho… So, we got Tay on tha 2nd verse and she ain’t bad wit her rhymes; I like that she’s fast… Lol, random: “I eat yogurt;” let’s just insert somethin’, I guess? Damn, she hit tha auto-tune! I rather her “eat” tha “yogurt!” My Rating: 3.6

13. “Make It Pop”
>>> Caught me off-guard wit tha energy in tha beat; nice! Feelin’ tha hook; can’t deny energy, of course! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s your typical, energetic vibe; I’ll call it a “Level anthem!” Tha tracks that have your energy & quality are considered a “Level anthem;” you got tons of those! A 2nd verse? Sounds more like tha hook just continued off and neva stopped. It’s like it went in its own lane but it’s still nice… My Rating: 4.4

14. “FAN” feat. Tweeday
>>> Likin’ tha crowd & tha beat, in tha beginning, here; good shit! Thought this was just a “fan” for tha title, but it’s an acronym for “fuck a nigga.” I’ll capitalize it, then… Feelin’ your energy & vibes, throughout tha hook! Tweeday has come a long way since tha MySpace dayz and he here iz, deliverin’ tha street/club vibes of tha 2nd verse! Good shit; keep tha high energy comin’! Got a 3rd verse from you, here, comin’ through wit tha heat, continuously; good shit! My Rating: 4.4

15. “Dem Lips” feat. Foxx & IL Duce
Lol, what iTunes know about capitalizin’ tha “L” in “IL Duce”? Nothin’! Only #80sBabiesInOur30s people like us know! Boy, I fuckin’ wanna link up wit Foxx, next time I’m in BR! >>> Pretty nice beat, here; almost sounds like a throwback club banga, but not with tons of energy… Good job wit tha hook, but I’m luvin’ when Foxx appears on tha hook! He know what it do wit “lips;” frfr, lol! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and you know what it iz wit these chicks! Wonder how many ladies you’ve slept with, durin’ your lifetime? Now, we got Foxx on tha 2nd verse and yeah, he a “dawg!” “Great dane!” Yeah, Foxx! “Jiggaz & trainz;” luv that “Jigga Train”! Makes me think of bein’ in BR, on June 23, 2017! I was in da club & it was a nice night! I went off to da “Jigga Train”! Wit dat bein’ said, nice job, Foxx; neva age, either! Keepin’ it goin’ wit anotha ‘80s baby, IL Duce, on tha 3rd verse, comin’ through wit his female-appreciated club rhymes; good shit! Glad he still got it goin’ on! I’m sure I’ll link wit him in BR, in tha future, too. My Rating: 4.4

16. “Get It Tonite” feat. Britton Satcher
>>> More on tha slow, R&B vibe, wit this hook and slow beat… I know tha CD’s endin’ and this more of an ending vibe but it’s icky fa me… Let’s see how much you can save it wit your rappin’… Good rhymes comin’ from you on tha 1st verse, here. I’ono, but it’s remindin’ me of a faster-soundin’ Lil’ Nas X; why am I thinkin’ a country theme, outta nowhere? Level and tha “nine inches,” huh? What a max level fa these bitches, ya heard me? Biggest single digit: a “9!” Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and Britton’s comin’ through wit his singin’… Can’t really vibe off it; not really me, here. Sounds too slow to be qualified for a five-star-rated CD, fa me (already, two tracks disqualified tha five-star-rated CD certification), here. My Rating: 2.5

17. “Need To Change” feat. Adrian Bagher
This one wouldn’t convert to mp3 on my iTunes (message: “Error occurred while converting the file “Need to Change (feat. Adrian Bagher)”. An unknown error occurred (-42017).” Funny that tha error # has “420” in it, lol! As far as preparin’ myself for this track, I’ono… Now, iTunes won’t let me play tha file. Luckily, it’s on YouTube; lemme hear on there… >>> Not really my kinda track, for a start, but tha sample in tha beginning gives me a lil’ anticipation… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it sounds okay wit what you rappin’ ‘bout. Sounds like one of those depressing ending songs; not my favorite but I’ll see what else happens, here. Sounds a lil’ betta when A chimes in with tha title part, on tha hook… Hearin’ A on tha 2nd verse and his singin’ ain’t bad, here; sounds betta than tha other singin’ peeps on here. I like what you spit, right afta A. With “life” bein’ hard and all dat, just gotta look at da positives. I’m goin’ through my hard times, right nah but I keep lookin’ at tha positive future I have, with my talents! Why you think I’m doin’ a commercial every day? Gotta show my generation what consistency & strong work ethics be ‘bout! My Rating: 3.2

Overall: Other than a few tracks, you brought tons of energy to tha plate, here! Talk about winnin’ all tha deals, even tho, statistically, it looks like I gave tha previous Deal Or No Deal a higher score. Either way, this definitely betta than most of tha shit comin’ out, these dayz! I’m a lil’ standoffish to take a breath for some of these new cats & their CDs that never come to me (let alone, if they come, it’s never within tha 1st week it comes out, smh)! Keep up tha great work, L-to-tha-E-to-tha-V-to-tha-E-to-tha-L!
