Reviewed on 7.08.2019 (Review #1,806)

Hoping to have my 1st day of work, today, at my new job! Before I get to dat, lemme get ta dis: Shizz Dollah Look What You Made Me Do, Vol. 3: Baby Edition review, courtesy of Pay The Producer Production & 3 Baby Entertainment! This iz Dollah’s posthumous release, right chea… Start Time: 8:15 AM | End Time: 3:31 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. Intro: 3-0
>>> Props on winning tha battle, with a “3” in tha score, of course! My Rating: N/A

02. “Clout Chaser”
>>> Comin’ through wit HardBody on tha beat, here (Kevin Rivers & Raheem Hightower); sounds like it gon be a good 1st song on tha disc… Sounds like an okay hook; beat a lil’ quiet but starts to pick up… Sounds like a consistent verse you deliverin’, on tha 1st verse; good shit, Shizz! Tha 2nd verse comin’ through hard, as well, wit tha rhymes; definitely nice. My Rating: 4.0

03. “Boogie Man”
>>> Neil On Da Track! Sounds too mainstream fa me; not likin’ your voice on this one. Tha hook sounds like it’s tryna sell out wit tha beat and voice. Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and I’m not really diggin’ tha voice effects. I remember, back in 2012, when you was dealin’ wit Foxx, you went at me for tha auto-tune shit. It’s 2019 & I still say it’s shit! I’m just lettin’ this play; I don’t really have to say anything… My Rating: 2.4

04. “No Offense”
>>> “Just pay the guy!,” in tha background; shout out ta B-Real (and Kevin Rivers, on this one)! #JustPayTheGuy! Just sounds like a freestyle, so far, with not much goin’ on in tha beat. It’s just a good beat fa you ta let out rhymes on, basically. Mo fiya shit comin’ outta tha 2nd verse, too; thumbs up fa keepin’ it up… My Rating: 3.7

05. “Let’s Be Serious”
>>> Sounds like a betta start wit tha beat, here; J Buc! Sounds like a good hook; definitely catchy and almost reminds me of Ready, from ’09 (“So Serious”)… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice, too; good goin’, Shizz! Tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ good, too; keep tha good shit comin’ along! My Rating: 4.2

06. “Sex Slave”
Music video out now! Here goes my review for it, as I added it to my playlist, just yesterday (wasn’t sure if this review or da playlist was gon be first, at first). >>> B-Real on tha beat, of course. What I really like about this one iz your flow (of course, no gay voice effects provided); definitely sounds like a catchy hook. Reelin’ in da sex, on da real! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice. It’s always good to hear more-defining lyrics than just, “I fucked you.” Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it sounds like you’re gettin’ caught up in that fast rappin’ that err-body tryna do, deliverin’ a verse. Kinda random, fa me; I’d rather be flooded with that floooow! My Rating: 4.2

07. “Boss Bitch”
>>> Not gonna comment on tha producer ($hop…); good, catchy lil’ track, between tha hook and what you deliver. My Rating: 4.1

½time: 8:34 AM; just gonna stop and go to tha job. If I get a break, I’ll continue this. For now, it’s an okay CD; a 3.8-rated CD. Original production sounds nice; just avoid tha auto-tune nonsense, B-Real! *Goes to work…* *Comes back at 3:16 PM…*

08. “Window Pain”
>>> J Buc on tha beat but not good wit how you soundin’, in your voice. To me, it’s a lil’ gay wit these “raindrops falling on [your] window;” nothin’ great wit da hook. Hearin’ tha 1st verse from you and you sound slightly better; sounds more like celebrating-type lyrics than depressing? Kickin’ off tha 2nd verse and it sounds like I’m hearin’ tons of recycled titles (“It’s Gone Get Better For Me”, “Make Time For You”); kinda bleh… Really, no more interest in this; some1 else coulda handled this beat betta. My Rating: 2.5

09. Skit
>>> It’s like he thinkin’ ‘bout death with how some have “died” where he at… My Rating: N/A

10. “Mad Man”
>>> J Buc beat, again; can it be betta? This sounds much catchier wit tha good “Sex Slave”-type flow and you sound good wit Magee on da beat (J Buc). Hearin’ what you got goin’ on wit tha 1st verse and it’s good; “Sex Slave”, Part 2, at its finest… Sounds good wit what you’re bringin’ on tha 2nd verse; gotta dig tha line, “Mane, it feels good to be a muthafuckin’ black man!” Ain’t dat right? I feel multiracial, at times, due to how well I’ve connected with people. My Rating: 4.2

11. “Stop Playin’”
>>> HardBody doin’ anotha beat, here… So far, hearin’ tha hook and it just sounds like a regular, mainstream-soundin’ song; ain’t nothin’ Baton Rouge/Louisiana about this, fa me… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and I’m not really diggin’ this flow. It’s just, rhyme, rhyme-rhyme-rhyme, rhyme; rhyme-rhyme-rhyme-rhyme-rhyme, rhyme, as it doesn’t stop. Gettin’ tired of rappers tryna shove so many words into one bar… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse and it’s just random rhymes; can’t feel ‘em too much… Overall, a lil’ below decent for tha track; just anotha mainstream-soundin’ track… My Rating: 3.0

12. “It’s Gone Get Better For Me”
A repeat from Vol. 2, as I previously reviewed:

Sounds like a depressing vibe? Kinda likin’ this quiet-soundin’ [DJ B-Real] beat wit your story goin’ on… Not tha craziest but, it’s crazy how you said, “Only fear iz me dyin’, in my prime…” Who woulda thought you’d have a fatal heart attack at 27? I see you mentioned “Flag,” on tha 1st verse. Yeah, free G.O.C.! Glad you produced his undaground hit song from [2017], “One Mo Time”! As far as tha rest of this, it aight; it iz what it iz… My Current Rating: 3.5

13. “Too Much On Me”
>>> Hitz Production track… Just not diggin’ tha auto-tuned voice on you; interest just drops too quick! Not really feelin’ tha hook; can see this goin’ down da trash… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it just sounds like every rapper turnt father. To me, it’s tha definition of a downfall; nothin’ new. Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse and it sounds betta wit tha lyrics, but we’re back to that 1,000-words-in-one-bar shit, smh. I do agree about bein’ “more of a man” when it comes to “goin’ through some shit.” I definitely have felt it this year! Don’t even feel tha pain of a sunburn, tbh! My Rating: 2.1

14. “Outro: Words From The Deacon”
>>> Definitely! “Keep workin’ till you get betta;” gotta! My Rating: N/A

Overall: Wasn’t really that great… Thumbs up fa havin’ original production but no features? Need to have more of that Baton Rouge sound in tha tracks than tha mainstream, typical-soundin’ shit you hear on every rapper’s tracks, these dayz. Also, coulda done without tha auto-tune; that’s why Shizz disliked me, back in tha day!

Rankings:

11. “Too Much On Me” 2.1
