R.I.P. Video #74: FYNIC Looney

Broadcasting from tha trenches, here in Baton Rouge, LA, it's ya boy, FrankieThaLuckyDog here, sadly reportin' anotha tragic loss in tha Louisiana rap community.

Freddie Thomas, known by his stage name, FYNIC Looney, was murdered around 11:00 PM on Sunday, September 13, 2020, off tha 5700 block of Henderson Avenue; he was only 27 years-old. Thomas was trappin' with "large quantities of marijuana" inside a house, where he was shot multiple times at 5724 Henderson Avenue. Once officers arrived at tha scene, Thomas was already pronounced dead. Currently, there are no motives or suspects found in this case.

Thomas was born on June 20, 1993, in Baton Rouge, LA. He began rappin' durin' tha 2010's amongst tha Baton Rouge clicks, Forever Young Niggaz In Charge (FYNIC) & tha Dirty Dinero Band Camp. One of Thomas' first appearances on a release was tha late Baton Rouge rapper, King Joe & his King Almighty mixtape, released on March 5, 2017 & hosted by Baton Rouge DJ, DJ Scrap. Tha following month, on April 8, 2017, Joe was murdered, at just 23 years-old. Thomas began payin' his respects to Joe as often as possible. In 2018, Thomas released his 1st release, Looney Tunes, Vol. 1 & followed it up in 2019 with tha sequel, Looney Tunes, Vol. 2. With tha release of multiple videos throughout tha years, as well as just bein' featured two dayz before his death in an upcoming music video of Baton Rouge's Kmac, Thomas kept tha undaground streetz of BR goin' until Sunday, September 13, 2020, where he was murdered on Henderson Avenue. Earlier, on June 20th, Thomas celebrated his 27th birthday & iz now reconnected with his long-lost friend, King Joe.
