Review #1,029: Piz Corleone "Dosha Burner Chronicles 3"

Reviewed on 7.10.2011 (Review #1,029)

Keepin’ tha reviewz comin’, here’s Piz Corleone “Dosha Burner Chronicles 3, courtesy of Late July Music Group/Enfihit Musik! Start Time: 5:47 PM | End Time: 6:09 PM

Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. Intro
How you gon put it down this time, Piz? Tha total length of tha CD ain’t even 40 minutes; iz this gonna be like tha previous CD? >>> Luvin’ tha high voice, lol; lol @ tha uncontrollable voice! Good intro, here, via phone! My Rating: N/A

02. “Talkin’ ‘Bout”
How will tha 1st song sound? >>> Kinda instant for a start wit tha sample on tha hook. “I’m Buzz, no Woody;” lol, wouldn’t you wanna be “Woody”… …for tha ladies? LOL… Tha rhymes are pretty nice and tha beat’s startin’ ta sound a lil’ betta… “Shout out my nigga D Boy Repasenta;” did he produce this? There’s no listed producer… Nice job wit tha 2nd verse, too; you got shit goin’ on, here! I guess he didn’t produce it ‘cause you shouted out other people? My Rating: 3.8

03. “I’m Ready”
>>> Sounds good for a start of no producer listed… Anotha shout out ta “D Boy Repasenta,” lol. I like tha start, here, wit how you comin’ through on tha beat; flow a lil’ mainstream-soundin’ but you got shit on lock, bruh! Tha 2nd verse sounds pretty catchy wit your “spaghetti,” lol. I think tha hook’s a lil’ Drakeish, but it ain’t too bad, overall. My Rating: 3.8

04. “The Anthem” Feat. D Boy Repasenta & Jay Bee
How will this go? >>> Sounds like an “anthem;” good intro! Also, tha hook’s 3x betta! “Smoke out, drugged up,” lol; y’all all tha way focused! Nice, consistent echoin’ in tha 1st verse, lol! Tha 2nd verse sounds good, here; really likin’ this interestin’ voice comin’ from Jay Bee, whoeva dat iz! My Rating: 4.4

05. “Easy Mac”
Now, an original production (you)! >>> Well, not tha kinda beat start I wanna hear. LOL @ tha “to each iz own” wit tha “you don’t smoke somethin’” line… Thought I wasn’t too interested afta hearin’ tha beat but tha shit you’re rappin’ sounds very interestin’, at times, lol. My Rating: 3.8

06. “Huckabee”
Thought this title was gonna say somethin’ like “Hercules”. >>> Really likin’ tha beat intro; I seem really anticipated, here! “R.I.P. Pimp C;” iz he gonna have a sample on tha hook or somethin’? You even mentioned “Paper Junkie,” here; good shit! I’m hearin’ tha hook, now, and it sounds pretty nice; good vibe!! Oh, I see where “Pimp C” came outta: a lil’ screwed version of tha “smoke sumthin’” line, which iz nice ta hear every now and then! Nice job wit offerin’ two verses on dis shit! My Rating: 4.3

07. “Bad-Ass Weed” Feat. Benjamin Rack$
LOL, put a dolla sign on Benjamin’s name! This looks like it gon be a kick-“ass” song, produced by you!! >>> Ooh, a ‘90s feel wit tha bass and what’s goin’ on wit tha hook!! LOL @ how you said, “marijuana,” as, “mary-joo-juan-ah,” lol! Rhymes and flow iz aight but this iz a serious, addictive-soundin’ beat dat I gotta fuck wit! LOL, even though a “high” song, how will Benjamin Racks sound on tha 2nd verse? Will this make him more hyper or less hyper, lol? Let’s see… Hyperness iz in tha middle but it’s tha character and rhymes dat seem ta be consistent! You know I definitely fuck wit Racks!! My Rating: 4.6

½time: Currently, this CD’s value iz at 4.1; pretty good, considerin’ tha previous CD!

08. “Dreams Of A R&B Diva”
This again? You on tha beat… I think I might like this a lil’ betta… My Current Rating: 2.0

09. “Just Wanna”
>>> Whoa, that gay-ass voice just scared me! Luckily, tha rappin’ iz normal but nothin’ I wanna fuck wit, on a serious note… My Rating: 2.4

10. “Burnin’ Dosha (Remix)” Feat. D Boy Repasenta
LOL @ Repasenta’s name misspelled as “Repasneta” on tha ID (yea, like he’s a “neta,” smh). You did tha beat and good thing you included it on here! My Current Rating: 4.4

11. “On Mars”
A beat by Jay Flame, here. >>> Sounds like a Pop-Rap song’s production… Had no interest wit this ‘til I heard tha “you wanna get high” shit in tha hook. Other than that, there’s little interest in this whole entire song—oh wait, tha 2nd verse iz pickin’ up wit tha ‘hangin’ out’ lyrics! Was ‘pose ta hang wit someone at this time, but they’re doin’ anotha no-show, smh. But, I feel dat good things come to those who wait; I’ll keep waiting, and unfortunately, sweat my ass off wit these reviewz! My Rating: 3.6

12. “Flyy Zone” Feat. Trap Louisiana
A beat by you; familiar featured artist but this ain’t tha same song I saw before? >>> Sounds familiar but it’s new; good shit, here! Tha beat’s pretty good for tha South and y’all blend in wit tha shit y’all bringin’ to this table (song)! LOL, glad y’all luv ta smoke; it’s so entertainin’ ta hear y’all rap about it! My Rating: 3.9

13. “Hail Mary 2011” Feat. Trap Louisiana
Same feature/production as tha previous song. However, I’m not crazy wit these resurrection songs… >>> Yea, tha hook’s a deal-breaker for me, in any event. Tha 1st verse ain’t too bad from you, here… LOL, Trap Louisiana sounds betta than usual on tha 2nd verse; he loaded, but loaded wit rhymes, too, lol! LOL, no 3rd verse? Oh, a ‘finish-tha-blunt-and-chill’-type ending, where tha outro’s long an—oh, tha hook repeated, smh. My Rating: 3.2

14. “Hands In The Air”
Takin’ a break from tha original production? What’s this for an ending song? >>> Sounds too much like a non-Southern mainstream song; don’t think I’ll take this too serious… Not tha catchiest for me, except for when I hear tha title repeat, at times. My Rating: 3.5

Overall: A lil’ betta for a CD; glad there was some original production and more features.
