It’s been a lil’ minute since I did some reviewz, but I got some more. SMH, I’m so not in tha mood to review right now ‘cause I got tons of other important (video) projects goin’ on… But, this 1^st one iz Marcel P. Black Black Soul EP; Maroon Music in tha buildin’. R.I.P. to my 30-year-old cousin who mysteriously died eight dayz ago; first serious family death since December 1, 2004 (my grandpa), and that’s before Katrina! Start Time: 3:48 PM | End Time: 3:59 PM


Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I already love it. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating! Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “EqualityCultureBornAllahRuleSelf”
!!! >>> Even scarier voice bein’ sampled… I dunno what I can make outta this, but I like your lyrics better… Tha hook sounds good wit your semi-distorted voice; nice job wit what you’re bringin’, here. My Rating: 3.6


02. “Fortune Or Fame”
>>> No, no need for a sample in tha beginning! Of course, tha other beats were better but this iz at close-to tha same quality as tha “Black President” one. Good lyrics, but only just makin’ an okay song for me. My Rating: 3.1


03. “Henry Clay”
Let’s see this piece of “clay,” lol. >>> Don’t exactly know who’s “on tha track,” but I’m really likin’ this beat, too! Sounds like I can picture darkness and black-and-whiteness, mixed wit tunnels and New York City, lol. I like how you sound on this, deliverin’ that good shit, in a free state! Definitely a catchy Hip-Hop song, includin’ this “Henry Clay” perception! My Rating: 4.3


½time: A 3.7-rated CD, or should I say, “EP,” currently.


04. “Back 2 The Basic” Feat. Thaione Davis & Marz The Superior
Ooh, features. >>> Likin’ tha 1^st verse and this beat sounds interestin’, on a ‘luvin’ Hip-Hop’ tip! Tha 2^nd verse sounds good from tha other dude on this. Also, you got your shit on lock wit tha 3^rd verse, too. My Rating: 4.2


05. “Fred Hampton”
>>> Who’s this “Automatic”/”Automatik” on tha track? Anotha okay/good beat for you to rap on… Glad you’re “pround” to be “black;” I love “black” people and will continue to, especially since I feel that tha average white person underrates ‘em! Good job wit statin’ your own opinions, as always! My Rating: 4.0


06. “Black Soul”
>>> A Joe On The Track beat…; this iz a unique beat sound for somethin’ different and I can dig it… Good job wit tha rhymes, here, includin’ yourself for bein’ a dictionary, lol. My Rating: 3.9


07. “Black President”
Played it on my radio show (of course, showin’ luv), but thumbs down for me ‘cause of tha Jay-Z beat-remake goin’ on in tha song. Good lyrics and even though I gave it a thumbs down, at least it sounds like a good update of tha beat. My Current Rating: 3.5


Overall: Whoops, I originally reviewed tha EP backwards!! That’s mainly ‘cause I’m waitin’ for some artwork so I can quick-edit tha information on my mixtape compilation’s files; my bad. *Fixes* Okay, that’s better. I usually throw tha reviewin’ tracks in an iTunes playlist called “CD Review”, which I have organized by track #s. But, because I added your CD in order, my iTunes library iz organized by newest added, so that’s why it went in backwards. But, keep up tha consistent work wit your interestin’ EPs.
