I really have no time for reviewz, right now, but because I ran outta new music (have been too busy wit tha end of this college semester to be sittin’ down and reviewin’; still spendin’ time on tryna find my lost equipment, too), I’m reviewin’ a CD. This iz Tha Kidd AJC The Best You Never Heard; need an interview for my radio show 2night, I holla’d at AJC, and now, it’s time to get somethin’ new a listen! Start Time: 8:54 AM | End Time: 9:22 AM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes 100,000x (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. “Show Ya ‘Bout It”

A self-produced song ta start it off; hope it’s somethin’ good, especially since I’m crownin’ you today’s interview before I even hear this CD! >>> Good “smoke dro” start, here; glad you all about dat smokin’! Keep dem anthems comin’!! Likin’ this beat sound a whole lot for a producer like yourself; great vibe, here! “I be ducked off;” nice/you know what it iz! Nice job wit tha verses; nothin’ wrong ova here! My Rating: 4.2

02. “Livin’ Life”

No producer listed? >>> Nice intro for tha beat, but once tha 1^st verse (long hook?) starts, it sounds a lil’ mainstream-y wit tha background vocals. However, somethin’ ‘bout this beat’s keepin’ my attention pretty high for what you’re spittin’. Vibe’s real nice, here, and your regular, “livin’ life”-type rhymes sound great, here! My Rating: 4.3

03. “Fuck Sum”

Back to you on tha beats! >>> Lol @ tha intro; ‘bout ta get real nasty, lol? Some of how tha beginning vibe sounds reminds me a lil’ bit of Enigma’s “Sadeness, Pt. 1” hit single from tha early ‘90s; you seem to keep catchin’ my attention wit these beats!! Ooh, extra sounds comin’ outta this beat, too? Also, some more good shit about “smoke”-type shit, lol! Funny title; seems like everything comes into play together more than just to “fuck” sumthin’, lol! My Rating: 4.3

04. “Hittin’ Licks”

A Hitman beat; this looks a lil’ anticipatin’… >>> Really likin’ tha Savage-soundin’ production start, here! :tu Trap anthem at its finest; you on a non-stop grind!! Of course, tha hook says it all about tha grindin’!! Tha 2^nd verse iz pretty tight, too; gotta keep this grindin’ goin’!! My Rating: 4.3

05. “Seat Back”

You on tha beat, again… >>> I dunno about havin’ a beat tag; they’re annoying, no matter who it iz. Yours iz a lil’ cheesy, but this beat ain’t too bad… This sounds more like a nice, laidback joint; good rhymes, in a high state of mind, lol. My Rating: 3.7

06. “Bury Me A G” Feat. Young Freeze

Not a part of DatPiff’s folder; lemme hear this sample… >>> Sounds like ‘90s music, but it’s nothin’ bad, luckily; I like tha quicker rappin’! My Rating: 3.8

07. “Da Smoke Out” Feat. Alize

You on tha beat, once again. >>> WTF @ tha start? No need to suck dick now! Tha 1^st verse doesn’t really do anything fa me, and tha hook has 75% of what I hate hearin’ in today’s music, especially wit this dick-on-dick voice!!!!! *Ends early* My Rating: 1.1

08. “Live For Today”

>>> This CD’s kinda goin’ to tha below-average/decent side now; not really my kinda topic, but this ain’t as bad as tha previous song! My Rating: 3.0

½time: CD started off real exciting, but it fell into tha decent arena, thanx to tha 2^nd ¼… Either way, tha CD rating’s a 3.6, right now…

09. “The High Life”

>>> A ’90s-soundin’ female hook? Sounds real hot! Kinda ehh @ those references in tha beginning of tha 1^st verse, but I’m glad you’re just you. A lil’ bit of an early 2000s vibe for a song, overall, here; thumbs up for this… My Rating: 3.6

10. “Dey B Hatin’”

Not into typical titles like this… >>> A Skull Duggery-type intro wit “keepin’ it 1,000;” finally, an anticipatin’ beat start? Not too bad, overall; rhymes fit pretty nice, too. Oh, tha hook ruined it! Aren’t I tha one wit a ‘future’ ‘cause I don’t know any other ‘future’ than that, smh! *Stops* My Rating: 2.6

11. “The Way I’m Feeling” Feat. Que T & Judah

>>> Not into tha singin’ hook; kinda been tired of this dumb-ass generation of urban music we’re livin’ in! Tha beat ain’t too bad (I believe that’s you, even though it’s not listed, ‘cause I heard tha beat tag), and tha rhymes are okay, too. Wow, I think I like tha previous song betta, lol. My Rating: 2.5

12. “Let Me Know”

Legit on tha beat… >>> Sounds like a good, non-Louisiana beat, here and there… Tha rhymes are okay, here, but tha song’s startin’ ta sound boring wit tha vibe… My Rating: 3.1

13. “Mary J Muzik” Feat. Tunez

A Legit beat; too bad I didn’t have any time on 4/20 ‘cause I was doin’ a lotta things, college style, yesterday. Okay, at least tha hook sounds normal wit tha voice; it ain’t too bad, but I expect betta wit a title like this! Rhymes don’t excite me too much, either, but tha song itself ain’t horrible… My Rating: 3.2

14. “Cut Buddy”

Here you are on tha beat… >>> Ugh, tha beat tag…; I know I’m complainin’ but at least it’s about 1.5 seconds long, unlike other peoples’ 3-second ones! :confused Tha rhymes ain’t too bad; flow sounds a lil’ mainstream-y, here, but it’s tolerable… My Rating: 2.8

15. “Switchin’ Lanes”

Here you are wit tha beat, once again. >>> Back to some hotter-soundin’ beats! Feelin’ tha Southern vibe in this beat, and tha beginning verse iz a lil’ on tha okay side, here. Got a lot of mainstream-soundin’ lyrics, but I can deal wit this beat, at least… Tha hook ain’t too bad, either; “I’m a rich nigga”? Props, but I hope that leads to you doin’ some services wit me soon! Tha lyrics are startin’ ta get ta me once tha 2^nd verse progresses… My Rating: 3.4

16. “Take A Ride Wit Me”
>>> Okay start wit this title for tha hook… Again, not too crazy about these lyrics, but tha song ain’t too bad, overall. My Rating: 3.2

17. “I Do This Shit”

You on tha beat. >>> Here we are wit tha beat tag, once again…; what’s up wit a Young Jeezy “ehh” sample in tha background? Just that word from him? Kinda heard it outta nowhere, but it sounds hot once tha beat kicks in on tha hook… I have ta say, nice hook; this sounds betta than tha shit I heard all throughout this 2^nd ½! Kinda bleh wit tha lyrics, once again; some are good, but some make me wonder wit this 2010s decade… My Rating: 3.9

Overall: Nice start, but sour 2^nd ½; doesn’t matter ‘cause there’s at least some good music on here! You’re gettin’ an interview from me ‘cause I ran outta people, lol!
