Got my 9^th review for today and it’s anotha Jungle Records release: J.A.P.A.N. Gucci Musik (Good Music); how will it go? Start Time: 11:58 PM | End Time: 12:29 AM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes 100,000x (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. “P.A. Niggaz”

Let’s hear it! >>> Sounds like a tight anthem fa Port Allen, despite it bein’ a Vybe beat! Really likin’ that tha title’s in tha song, frequently; definitely grabbin’ tha listener by tha ear, for Port Allen!! My Rating: 4.3

02. “Thuggin’ & Lovin’ It” Feat. Dude Blitz & Dee Dee

>>> Must be tha same singer from tha “cook” song, from tha Jay Bin Laden CD? Sounds catchy, this time, wit tha hook! Good job wit tha verses, too; kinda feels like a musical glance at Port Allen, at its finest! My Rating: 4.1

03. “Good Nite”

Now, it’s not a compound word; produced by Young Jack, as I previously heard! My Current Rating: 4.2

04. “Lay ‘Em Down”

A solo from Regal… Oh yea, I recognize this title; tha “9millie” song, lol. My Current Rating: 3.7

05. “Deuces Freestyle”

Solo from M.A., here. >>> I hear M.A.’s mixtape title, The Rap Derek Lewis, in tha intro; guess I gon hear this tomorrow, when I review M.A.’s solo mixtape? Either way, “Deuces” beat or not, this ain’t too bad; M.A. seems ta have nearly tha same voice as Jay Regal, these dayz… Rhymes are barely passin’ tha ‘aight’ mark fa me, here, but more on tha boring side, overall… Also, since it’s a “freestyle”, it shouldn’t be tha same length as tha original! My Rating: 3.1

06. “Deez Streets” Feat. 20

Wonder who this 20 dude iz… >>> Really think y’all “die in deez streets”? :( Hope not; can’t even think about death!! Still, I’m feelin’ these “streets”-type rhymes; keep this shit up! My Rating: 3.9

07. “Murder Rate”

>>> This iz a ‘repeat’ beat for me (Vybe); played a song who made their own song off of this, back in ’09, so I already had a main song off this beat, which makes my interest real low… For this, I’m likin’ tha ‘gun’ rhymes, once again; I really like how y’all paint a picture of your streets. M.A. on tha 2^nd verse? Catchy flow; I’ll give it credit, includin’ tha nice rhymes. My Rating: 3.5

08. “Paper Chase” Feat. Redd

>>> Because it’s a Vybe beat, this iz okay, overall; glad it’s a ‘mission’-type song! I like tha “lunch line” line; all about them memories! Redd does a nice job wit his contributions, too; gotta feel how he comin’ through, on tha track! My Rating: 3.6

½time: A 3.8-rated CD, currently.

09. “Get It Girl”

>>> Really would like to hear original beats; this iz decent, but nothin’ I’d really pay attention to… My Rating: 3.0

10. “Game Tight”
Production from Drako? >>> Sounds remakey…; luckily, it ain’t too bad, and tackles a good subject, since it’s all about tha “real.” Whether this iz remakey or not, I’m likin’ it, and think it’s a nice production. Rhymes are soundin’ good, of course, I can dig it… My Rating: 4.0

11. “Fuck U Pay Me” (Tune Feat. J.A.P.A.N.)

Not sure what you mean by “tune” in tha ID… New production from Biggs, here… >>> Sounds like a quiet version of “Wipe Me Down”, a lil’; not bad… Oh wait, do you mean Tune Feat. J.A.P.A.N. for tha ID ‘cause it’s actually y’all CD? Okay, I hear, and I’m correct; my bad for tha confusion. I have to say, this sounds like a nice, underground, underground song for tha underground, lol. My Rating: 3.8

12. “Livin’ My Life” Feat. S.B.R. Boy

Speakin’ of S.B.R. Boy, what happened to his Facebook? Ducked off? >>> Beginning sounds okay; thought I’d hear a lil’ more tightness from S.B.R., but it’s all good, still. Kinda long on tha length, but I dunno what ta say…; you already know dat you guys hold it down for tha streetz. My Rating: 3.6

13. “D’Boys”

Lil’ Wubb on tha beat; I remember this. However, when hearin’ tha beginning, right now, “Raw Ha Records”? “Hood Official Vol. 1;” fa real? I remember that CD gettin’ pushed back/cancelled ‘cause I didn’t even have an editing program, at tha time, lol; weird dedication! My Current Rating: 4.2

14. “Street Shit” Feat. Dino

>>> Nothin’ really special wit tha sound and how this sounds wit tha 1^st verse… Damn @ Jay Regal for takin’ “a baby;” crazy! Ooh, Dino has a good voice fa this; nice job, too! My Rating: 3.2

15. “Fashion Show” Feat. Dino

Anotha production from Drako, here… >>> Nothin’ really special between tha beat and what’s goin’ on wit tha song… For some reason, tha features seem to be catchin’ my attention more; good job, Dino, endin’ this off. My Rating: 2.9

16. “Leave Me Lonely” Feat. Redd & Tut

>>> Wow, weak beat start for J.A.P.A.N.! :( Now, tha rhymes are soundin’ betta, smh? Rhymes are okay, but they’re, like, non-Louisiana for me, wit this sound. M.A. sounds good wit his shit, here, so I’ll give him some credit… My Rating: 2.5

17. “I Ain’t Fuckin’ Wit Cha” Feat. Pada & Bear

>>> Catchy for an ending song; not bad… Likin’ tha 1^st verse wit tha flow, voice, and shit goin’ on, here… Tha 2^nd verse iz nice, too; looks like tha features help, once again! My Rating: 3.8

Overall: Ehh, could’ve been a lil’ betta, but I guess tha original beats’ll come soon…
