Damn, eight dayz went by since my last review? Shit… Dat’s ‘cause right when I finished Review #582, I was expected to hang wit this dude. But, he put me off for his ex every single day after. Also, a rapper flew from Baton Rouge to New York and he had me waiting two dayz for nothin’. We were ‘pose to video shoot, get pics and maybe even get a drop from him for my radio show but he decided not to; it’s his loss… I still can’t figure out how people can hang out and agree wit each other; very impossible for me for some reason… But now, after makin’ some radio edits tha past few dayz, I’m back in review mode and hopefully, I’ll be up-to-date! Here goes tha startin’ review for today: DJ 5150 & Dre “NO To The BR 2”! LOL, props on tha address too on tha back, lol! That’s a first for a current CD! Start Time: 12:11 PM | End Time: 1:39 PM


Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it) so any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. DJ 5150 “Call DJ 5150 – 707.418.8437”
I still haven’t called yet; I think I’ll do these reviewz first. However, I believe Calliope Var’s behind you on what I do and everything so I guess when we talk, it might be betta than average for a first call! >>> Must be Kevin Gates “Dangerous” in tha 1st song… “(225) 304-6142?” A different numba? My Rating: N/A


02. Kevin Gates “Dangerous”
Still has tha “certified…” tag in tha beginning, lol. I was able to “mix” it out when I put it on my Spring 2010 mixtape! Still a good song; did above average on my playlist… My Current Rating: 4.3


03. B.G. Feat. Plies, C-Murder, Lil’ Boosie & Soulja Slim “Nigga Owe Me Some Money (Remix – Extended Clip)”
Remix style here! >>> I’ll throw Soulja Slim in tha ID here too since he was in tha original ID and iz on tha hook here too! Still sounds pretty gutta wit tha B.G. verse! “All about every penny and nickel!” LOL, Plies on tha 2nd verse? I’ll put him before C-Murder here; tha “no dickridin’ rule” when it comes to tha order. Pretty gutta from Plies; he doesn’t give up wit tha demands, lol!! Same thing wit tha hook: CONTINUOUS and it puts me in a good mood ‘cause it’s Slim repeatin’! Plies was “gutta” but now, wit C on tha 3rd verse, he’s got tha “gangsta/hood” shit here; VERY GOOD!! LOL, what happened @ 3:32 when Lil’ Boosie came in? Sounded like tha “nigga” part was missin’ from tha 1st word of his verse and was like a weird paste… More gutta shit; gr8 combo on tha whole remix!! Sounds like a Soulja Slim ending too? My Rating: 4.7


04. Mouse On Tha Track & Lil’ Cali Feat. Wissel “How U Like Me Now”
Coupla errors: “The” iz really “Tha” in Mouse’s name and tha original, incorrect spellin’ of “Wissle” (since it’s really “Wissel”). Good shit here but there are betta songs on tha “Just Because” mixtape… Not really in tha mood ta hear Wiss again ‘cause I still didn’t get anything from him in tha mail… And, I shouldn’t have ta re-hear his rhymes ‘til I get shit in tha mail! Are all those rhymes tha reason why a DJ can’t get music? My Current Rating: 4.5


05. Mouse On Tha Track Feat. Lil’ Trill & Lil’ Boosie “Rubbin’ On My Head (Remix)”
LOL, this again (“again” means when it was January 2010, I had heard these songs already)… I don’t think Mouse’s name iz a whole word either (MouseOnTheTrack). Plus, Lil’ Trill’s before Boosie on tha ID. Still good although I refer it to last year. My Current Rating: 4.8


06. Down Bad Feat. Louisiana Ca$h & Derty “Locs On”
LOL, tha “oc” part in tha beginning was cut a lil’ from tha mixin’. I make sure I don’t do dat in tha beginning, not to be cocky. Ca$h’s name has a dolla sign in it and Derty’s missin’ from tha feature… I think when it was January, I didn’t get ta hear tha whole song so I’ll paste tha review… I heard a completely different “Loc’s On” song from rappers Dog & Tech; that one iz betta so far than this. But, this iz pretty catchy at tha same time. Tha hook pretty catchy fa everyone so it’ll be a worldwide plus, lol. Louisiana Ca$h had an above average 1st verse here. What will we have next? Jack Da Rippa here on tha 2nd verse; LMAO @ his 2009 “So Whopped” rendition! Definitely felt dat line and he did a pretty good job on his verse; you KNOW he hella catchy!! ROFL, it’s Terror!! Nice job from him deliverin’ his raps! JR comes through on tha 2nd ½ of tha 3rd verse; nice and lol @ tha “Wipe Me Down” part (again, still hearin’ dat quote). This iz different… there were three parts to tha verse ‘cause Derty snuck in on tha 3rd 1/3 of tha 3rd verse. Again, where’s tha energy? I thought he’d come through like a beast or somethin’, lol. An okay job from him… My Current Rating: 4.4


07. Shawt “U Know What It Is”
Almost thought it was a newbie but accordin’ to my iTunes, I had heard him from “Next 2 Blow: New Orleans 2009”. I neva heard this song so let’s see dis… >>> Pretty catchy start! Sounds like tha intro can fit as tha 1st joint on this mixtape ‘cause of its “intro” vibe… Even a lil’ “Over Here” sample in tha hook mixed wit what Shawt’s got… Tha 1st verse’s on his shit here accordin’ to how he comin’ through! Tha title part sounds almost weird at first wit tha voice, lol. Tha 2nd verse’s comin’ through wit some “Levis;” dumb shit! Even an outro on here, lol? My Rating: 4.1


08. The Show “Façade”
New song also… >>> Stevie Drumma start on tha beat here. Sounds dark for a start but tha background sample can be scary… Real good rhymes from him so this iz tolerable. If this was some random bullshit, online rapper, then this would be down tha tubes! Tha hook sounds like I heard it before? I dunno but it sounds pretty good! Listenin’ to The Show reminds me of two Summers ago wit Big Boot Radio… I hope to make a resurrection soon ta listenin’ to them… Definitely a good 2nd verse and a 3rd verse can fit here and iz keepin’ this shit hot!! Thought I’d rate it pretty average at first but it can be addictin’! My Rating: 4.4


09. Juvenile Feat. Mouse On Tha Track “Shine”
Huh? Removed from DatPiff? Why? Didn’t hear this on his latest CD… Lemme see what DatPiff linked it to… Didn’t link me to tha song; just his name. What a bunch of shit… Couldn’t even find it on Amazon so I gon YouTube it since it’s a new song for me… Damn, not on YouTube too? WTF…? *Hears tha 30 second DatPiff sample* >>> Knew it was a lil’ familiar… All this trouble ‘cause you had tha wrong title on tha back cover? Really “I’m Shining”! Either way, it’s DEFINITELY HOT so that’s a PLUS on why it’s here!! My Current Rating: 4.4


10. Calliope Var Feat. C-Murder & Kayotic “Home Of The Dope (Remix)”
Anotha REAL hot one… Must be shortened ‘cause I heard a longer one… Still soundin’ REAL GR8 though; all about tha trap, just like tha “spot” on tha side of my grandma’s house where I’m at, lol… Tha rating’s a touch lower since there’s less members on this… My Current Rating: 4.8


½time: Well, sounds REAL GR8, y’all!! Whether I know tha songs or not, tha HOT SHIT iz here and iz DEFINITELY consistent!! Tha average CD rating’s at a NICE 4.5 right now; keep these HOT bangaz comin’ along!!!


11. Beck Beats Feat. Birdman “Uptown”
DatPiff didn’t remove, lol? Don’t think I heard… >>> Actually sounds good; lol @ tha beat tag person! I like tha soundin’ of tha 1st verse here; must be dem Beck Beats peeps! I thought tha “S-H-O-T” was gonna say,” S-H-I-T,” lol!! Tha 2nd verse iz Beck Beats too? You sure this ain’t Beck Beats Feat. Birdman? I’ll leave it for now until I see somethin’ in tha future… Pretty good soundin’ but now, I hear them on tha 3rd verse too and it must be their official song so I’ll consider tha ID an error! Nice job wit tha “coughin’” too, lol! No wonder why they didn’t remove dis; dis iz Beat Beats’s song! My Rating: 4.2


12. Webbie Feat. Lil’ Phat & Birdman “Do It Bigger (Remix)”
Same here; I thought this was Phat’s song… I played it for 15-18 weeks wit an error, smh? >>> LOL, sounded like an extra beat part (key) played in tha beginning… This sounds exactly tha same as what I heard; did everyone have an error? Then again, on tha Supa Unit CD, I didn’t have a tracklisting and on tha “Death Before Dishonor” CD, it was Phat’s CD so it could’ve just been “featured” on there… Weird order too since Phat’s at tha end of tha ID… Still feelin’ tha whole song, especially dat hook wit tha “picture” part and tha “do it bigger/chew it bigga!” Even J Buc on tha beat!! My Current Rating: 4.6
EDIT: Forgot to mention: tha “Do It”’s missin’ in tha title…


13. Big Poppa “Roll Call”
Looks new for me; lookin’ forward ta hearin’!! >>> Don’t know who’s beat tag iz this beat (“Big Beat?” “Big E?”)… Ooh, sounds like a good G-Funk sound in tha hook, lol! Interestin’ hook too as it’s hella catchy wit tha way it sounds! Poppa sounds much betta now than his “Rollin’ Like An 18-Wheeler” CD! LOL @ all tha “eatin’ McDonalds!” Fuck! A non-sourced feature on tha 2nd verse! Too bad I’m not 100% sure of who it iz; don’t know many people in Shreveport… Damn, he’s on tha 3rd verse too? Iz this song tha dude on tha 2nd and 3rd verse? No wonder why this iz betta than average, lol… My Rating: 4.3


14. Hurricane Chris Feat. Mouse “Coke Bottle”
LOL, I thought it was a drug for a second but it’s really wit a “bottle” and REALLY wit Mouse on tha feature; double error! DatPiff removed it but I heard it; tight shit here! Good shit from Chris and Mouse on tha beat/hook once again! My Current Rating: 4.0


15. Kevin Gates Feat. A.R. & Wissel “My City”
Wonder who had dis first; Jimmy The DJ or you? Both January releases here and tha 1st time I heard dis was in January 2010 on Jimmy’s “Gangsta Gumbo Vol. 4: The Audacity Of Dope”. Cool once again for D. Jackson on tha beat and this sounds good, especially on tha hook too! Since tha review, dat “00001” would be dedicated to my gurl Robin since A.R. said “0” 4x in a row, lol! Ahh, tha Math teacher and his “zed-oh” pronunciations!! Oh, readin’ tha review for this previously and Wissel’s part was faded out, lol! Weird timing to hear it for tha first time now… Good verse (of course) but sounds all cocky. Too bad all these things are above gettin’ tha DJs new music, smh… My Current Rating: 4.5


16. Lil’ Six “I’m Fucked Up”
Lookin’ forward ta dis!! I have a feelin’ dis gon be my top-rated new joint!! >>> VERY anticipated for tha hook and err-thang since we gettin’ “dem pillz” outta nowhere in tha beginning!! Tha beat sounds real hot too!! GLAD I predicted tha top-rated new joint here ‘cause I’m DEFINITELY right before 1:00 in tha song!! Tha 1st verse’s cool as fuck here! Lil’ Six gon be a future dude ta hit me up… hopefully! Tha 2nd verse’s pretty consistent here wit tha flow especially! My Rating: 4.8


17. Young Ready Feat. Lil’ Phat “Stand Over You”
ROFL; must be tha oldest one on here… I have a completely perspective now, sadly; couldn’t control it. Tha controller controlled my perspective. I won’t change my rating though… My Current Rating: 4.8


18. B-Raw Feat. K.Bank$, Lil’ Klapp & Young Ready “Dumb, Dumb, Duffy”
This a lil’ betta but still, almost lost tha perspective again. Even down ta dat: why iz Ready first on tha ID? No dickridin’! Didn’t realize dis was a Vybe beat fa a second; has a GR8 “vibe” fa this kinda song, lol! Still a perfect-rated song for me, regardless of anything. My Current Rating: 5.0


19. Kidd Kidd “Do It 4 Scrilla”
Hope this doesn’t spoil tha 5-star rated CD… >>> Tha beginning almost scares me… EDIT: June 25, 2009: it was added to my iTunes? Damn, didn’t think I heard it thanx to tha “Do It 4” missin’ in tha ID… I only rated a 3.6 in tha beginning? Damn, I feel much betta about tha rating now ‘cause tha hook’s pretty gutta and tha verses are good! Oh, I see why tha rating was low: tha A-Tune; boo!! Now, I think I’ll feel tha same wit tha rating; no more feedback! Wait, a 3rd verse fulla A-Tune too? Well, just tha beginning of it; should be lower on tha rating! BAD ending! Anotha decrease! My Current Rating: 2.8


20. Lil’ Boosie “I Wonder”
Sure as hell, I prolly heard this too… >>> Don’t see it anywhere and it ain’t bad for a start… Okay, tha hook’s a lil’ odd for a start but it sounds good; he sounds younger? Sounds pretty tight on tha 1st verse but my mood kinda went shitty afta dat “Scrilla” song… Tha 2nd verse’s pretty lyrical, gutta, Southern and mo mixed into a banana split fulla rhymes! Tha 3rd verse sounds gr8 too although I still think tha hook start’s a lil’ odd… My Rating: 4.2


21. Nu$$ie “Vapors”
WTF @ tha ending song… Ladies & Gentlemen: an import from tha UK iz here!! Not… This iz acceptable if they’re in jail, maybe. But, this was already released throughout Louisiana… Damn, I wasn’t even 20 and a ½, lol… There are also acceptions (dead or in jail) if tha song’s just on MySpace and exclusively on related artists (e.g., Yung Yola and K.O.; I keep pushin’ ’08 songs from them but both are in jail and tha songs are only on their MySpaces and wit their relatives/close artists)… I don’t like to even have tha “’08” perspective… There’s so many things you can’t get back: Talkin’ to Young Ready, Nu$$, my 1st college’s lifestyle and more… I might even make a Facebook group called “Nu$$ie Alive Times: November 27, 2007 – February 9, 2009.” November 27, 2007 was when my Louisiana connection was bubblin’ ta pop off (Part 2) and when I officially started carin’ less about tha people at my 1st college ‘cause I KNEW I had a future comin’ and yes, I do!! I also noticed tha 3rd verse on this was reused on Kevin Gates’s “I Be In Da Trap,” which I disapproved at first but I guess, accordin’ to A1, it’s acceptable. My Current Rating: 4.5
^ Damn, my ratings were not too exciting back in tha day (original rating of 4.1; some REAL TIGHT songs only had 4.5 on dat “Featuring Nu$$ie” CD…)


Overall: It didn’t matter how old/new tha songs were; it still was DEFINITELY a REAL HOT mixtape!! Thanx ta B-Raw on tha heads up! I had Vol. 3 before this and I did my lil’ Google search to find it! I DEFINITELY look forward ta knowin’ dat there’s Vol. 3 AND Vol. 4 already out!! Finna review those next!!
