Keepin’
these reviewz goin’ with Black Balloon Global’s Ray Vicks Figgaz, a disc
Ray gave to me when I met him in Baton
Rouge, back on March 28, 2017! I know he got a newer
disc out now, but I gon just get inta this one, right now… Start Time: 6:57 PM | End
Time: 7:20 PM
Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0
– 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!
I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long
as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and
then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a
song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6
rating, I pretty much really love it,
as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I
hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type
before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything
after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening
to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your
vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’
topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

“Brang The Pain”
Let’s “brang” it!! >>> Sounds like a nice way ta introduce yourself ta come home, ya dig? Hearin’ tha beat and it’s pretty nice fa tha streetz, here, includin’ how you comin’ through on tha 1st verse, here… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ like tha next celeb ta be bigger from Louisiana… My Rating: 3.7

“Figgaz” feat. Jadakiss
Let’s
see this collab! >>> Diggin’ tha “gettin’ a half ounce fa 600” shit;
definitely a nice intro and beat… Ugh!! Had ta ruin it wit tha gay-ass a-tune
bullshit on tha hook? No need for a voice effect; just sounds like a regular
song that everyone can make, these dayz… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and
it’s ehh…; guess mainstream features boosts your ego? Just stick to tha
undaground music! Well, at least Jada has a normal voice, here… If you had this
approach, sound & vibe like Jada, it would be a pretty dope track and I
prolly wouldn’t mind tha typical-soundin’ beat… So, to Jada, I give you props
fa holdin’ this shit down… Hearin’ tha 3rd verse from you and it
don’t sound as bad as tha 1st verse… My Rating: 2.4
03.
“Tell Me Why” feat. Peewee Longway
Let’s
see this one… >>> Beat sounds like tha last one… Hearin’ tha hook and
it sounds decent; can’t complain… And, we got tha 1st verse,
soundin’ like anotha trap anthem, here; good shit… Kinda sounds off-beat around
1:14? I give Longway a 50/50… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s not
bad, here; just anotha trap anthem that’s nothin’ special… We have 1:26
remaining and it’s a beat outro? Tha long, unexpect—oh, anotha hook… My Rating: 3.0
½time: Only a 3.0-rated
CD, so far… I respect tha trap but it gets old when err-thang on tha radio
sounds like a Future track…
04.
“Yola” feat. Gucci Mane
Will
this work? >>> An online beat? I’ono how much I can appreciate this…
Lots of numbaz on tha hook, here… Outta this and tha previous two tracks, I’d
have to say that I might like this one tha best… Hearin’ tha 1st
verse and it’s pretty nice wit what you bringin’, here; feelin’ tha aggression…
And, we got Gucci on tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ good, at least…
Glad it ain’t a boring or typical-soundin’ verse, here… My Rating: 3.8
05.
“Can’t Trust Ya”
>>> Not sure of tha producer on tha ID, here… Tha hook straight, as well as this beat… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice, here; can’t complain… Sounds like a catchier flow than previous tracks, here; good shit… Tha rest iz pretty good, too; good shit wit this one… My Rating: 3.9

06.
“Still Dumb” feat. Reek, Stebo Boski & BTY Youngin
Looks
like this gon be some Baton Rouge
quality, here… >>> Feelin’ tha energetic beat, as well as all these
features I don’t know! Definitely a nice hook; jammin’ shit to tha fullest!
Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ nice, strictly, consistently
holdin’ shit down! Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse and it
decent… I’ono, sometimes, some of tha lyrics kinda throw me off but tha vibe
keeps this movin’… Hearin’ tha 3rd verse and it’s pretty energetic,
too; good shit! My Rating: 4.0
Overall: A good portion of this
sounded mainstream-like but it wasn’t too bad… It started to get betta toward
tha 2nd ½, at least…
