Review #1,725: Karate Lukane "Alert"

Reviewed on 5.15.2017 (Review #1,725)

Finna go on an adventure to an abandoned turnpike later on today! For now, until my boy’s ready, lemme get inta this: Karate Lukane Alert, released last year on Chosen Few Entertainment! Neva heard of dude but shout out ta Way 3000 fa givin’ me this one! Start Time: 8:05 AM | End Time: 8:48 AM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. “Intro”
>>> Sounds like a decent beat start, here… And now, :55 in, here comes tha verse… Sounds like you got some good rhymes ta offer, here… And, an outro; kinda long fa an intro track of 3:05? My Rating: 3.7

02. “History”
>>> Sounds like a nice, slow track, here; good hook… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and you got some real-life shit goin’ on, here; I can dig it… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ nice ta hear, too… My Rating: 3.9

03. “Knockout Artist” feat. Chris Snowden
>>> Sounds like anotha nice beat ta rap on… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and I’m feelin’ your 3D rhymes, here, as tha rhymes describe how you knock err-thang out… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s pretty dope; feelin’ this “knockout” theme! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s pretty nice ta hear, too; Chris got a future wit this shit, too! My Rating: 4.2

04. “Pressure”
>>> This gives me almost tha same vibe as tha previous joint, only I’m diggin’ this hook and beat a lil’ betta; definitely nice! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice, here; gotta feel it… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ nice ta hear, too… Glad you keepin’ it movin’ wit inflictin’ “pressure” on tha audience, here! Good shit tha rest of tha way; dope track! My Rating: 4.3

05. “Problems”
>>> A slower track, here, wit a catchy hook; all about dem “problems!” Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice, here; no wack rhymes here! Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, soundin’ nice wit tha “mathematics” start; good shit… My Rating: 4.0

06. “My Own Lane”
>>> Sounds like anotha catchy track; groovy-kinda hook, here, “in [your] own lane!” Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ decent, here; glad you keepin’ it movin’… Tha 2nd verse ain’t too bad, as well; once again, you keepin’ it movin’ nicely… My Rating: 3.8

½time: Nice lil’ CD, here; you got catchy tracks, hooks & production’s pretty nice… Overall, a 4.0-rated CD, currently; let’s continue!

07. “Goldilock”
>>> Almost sounds like an East Coast beat, here; let’s see how this one turns out… Hearin’ tha hook and it aight wit all this “callin’” shit… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s decent; I’ono how interested I am in hearin’ about a “goldilock,” tho… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, and it ain’t bad… My Rating: 3.4

08. “Bank Teller” feat. Yak
>>> I’ono, but this sounds like tha male version of “Goldilock” ta me, here, wit a similar-soundin’ hook and beat… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and ehh, not really into tha “money” shit, “stackin’ up” and all dat… Tha Yak dude on tha 2nd verse and he sound like a typical rapper from this current generation… Nothin’ special, here, but I’d like to hear more in tha future… My Rating: 3.5

09. “Drip Drops”
>>> Hearin’ this singin’ hook and it sounds like somethin’ I ain’t gon feel; weird… A lil’ hidden beat sound I’m diggin’ throughout tha hook, tho; I’ll point dat out… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s funny wit some of these X-rated rhymes… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ decent; can’t complain, even tho this can be cheesy… My Rating: 3.5

10. “Do Yo Dance” feat. Goon
>>> Definitely sounds like a quality-soundin’, energetic beat, here! Nice lil’ hook, too! No matta tha simple, repetitive feel, as long as this beat’s on-n-poppin’, it’s on! Good 1st verse, too, strictly for tha club, here… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ pretty dope, too; can’t deny it! Good shit, Goon! And, a 3rd verse, here, soundin’ good, too… My Rating: 4.2

11. “Amsterdam” feat. Chris Snowden
>>> Sounds like a nice beat and hook, here; let’s see what we got ta offer… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice from Chris, here… I’m diggin’ his “swerve”-type vibe on tha verse, here; gotta luv it! Keepin’ it movin’ wit you on tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ nice ta hear, too… My Rating: 3.7

12. “Death”
>>> Sounds like a nice hook and decent beat; I dig it… Of course, this tha type of shit that you think of, on a daily basis, when you have dead family members… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s decent; nothin’ much ta say, here… Keepin’ it goin’ wit tha 2nd verse and it’s nice ta hear, as well; good shit… My Rating: 3.8

Overall: Nice job wit this CD; I felt it… You have a lotta catchy shit ta offer to tha world of Baton Rouge and all dat; keep grindin’!
