Broadcasting from my studio, here in Northeast PA, it's ya boy, FrankieThaLuckyDog here, sadly reportin' anotha tragic loss in tha Louisiana rap community.
N'awlinz, LA native, Jerome Cosey, known by his stage name 5th Ward Weebie, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2020, from complications related to a ruptured artery; he was only 41 years-old.
Cosey made a name for himself as tha "Bounce King" of New Orleans; he released his debut album, Show The World, in 1999 on Mobo Records. In 2000, Cosey hit tha streetz with two discs: Ghetto Platinum, courtesy of Most Wanted Empire & Take It To The Hole, courtesy of South Coast Music. In 2001, Cosey teamed up wit tha Orleans' Kane & Abel to form tha group, Most Wanted Boys, which consisted of Kane & Abel, Weebie, Phoolish, Box & Royale, Bossplayer, Hustler & Sundown. Courtesy of tha Most Wanted Empire & Most Wanted Records, that year, they released their group debut, Down Bad. In 2002, Cosey was a part of tha N.O. rap group, 504 Boyz's hit single, "Tight Whips", off their 2nd album, Ballers. As tha year 2003 came, Cosey started releasing music under tha label, Fattboy Entertainment & released his 4th album, Da Unexpected. As 2004 came, tha Most Wanted Boys re-released their 2001 Down Bad album into Thug Unit, on Most Wanted Records, with a new CD cover. In 2005, fellow N'awlinerz, Demm Boys, presented Cosey with tha Weebie Wild, Vol. 1 release. Tha following year, in 2006, Cosey blessed tha streetz with two more discs: Bounce King Status: Da Mixtape, Vol. 1 & Bounce King Status, Vol. 2. In 2008, Cosey teamed up with fellow N'awlinzer, Lil' Wayne, for tha hyped-up track, "Bend It Ova", later featured on tha compilation CD, Next 2 Blow: New Orleans 2009, released tha following year. Cosey also teamed up with tha 504 group, Partners-N-Crime, in 2009, with their track, "So Attracted", from their We Are Legends CD. Collectively, throughout his career, Cosey was featured on over 40 other CDs, ranging from areas like tha N.O., to Baton Rouge, to Mississippi, to Texas & all luv throughout tha south. As tha 2010's rolled on, Cosey even built his empire by collaborating with Toronto's Drake. In 2018, Cosey, alongside BlaqNmilD, Drake, 504's Big Freedia & Fort Erie's Murda Beatz, all were in tha studio to create tha bounce-inspired single, "Nice For What". Tha single would go to debut at #1 on tha Billboard Hot 100 chart, for tha week of April 21, 2018. Despite topping tha Billboard charts, Cosey's fame would be short-lived, as on Thursday, January 9, 2020, he passed away, while being hospitalized for complications related to a ruptured artery. If Cosey lived to see February 19, of this year, he woulda turned 42 years-old.

Keepin’
these reviewz goin’, as I’m gettin’ up & am hungry. However, I’m doin’ a
review, first! Hype Records Hype Enough Records (Limited Edition),
released in 1999 on Hype Enough Records! Start
Time: 12:25 PM | End Time: 1:50 PM
Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0
– 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!
I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long
as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and
then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a
song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6
rating, I pretty much really love it,
as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I
hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type
before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song;
anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m
listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have
auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money (which I consider
‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!
>>>
Nice lil’ intro, here; sounds like tha undaground of New York or somethin’… I know this CD’s,
like, a Soulja Slim compilation, so these tracks are comin’ from various years…
Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty dope; Slim, you got this
real-ass, gangsta-ass shit on lock! Tha hook’s tha title that just repeats but
it’s official; all about tha life of a “soulja!” Hearin’ tha 2nd
verse & it’s official, once again; you know what it iz! My Rating: 4.4
02.
“Made For Walkin’” feat. KLC, Warren
Mays & Mr. Serv-On
Producer: KLC
I
know I know this one but not sure when I reviewed it or heard it… Interestin’
cars, in tha beginning; intense…? Of course, all about tha “souljaz” on tha
hook, here; nice, includin’ tha quiet-soundin’ beat… Tha 1st verse’s
nice from you; you know what it iz! Tha 2nd verse’s nice ta hear, of
course; all about dem “souljaz,” once again…! My Current Rating: 4.3
03.
“Powda Bag”
Producer:
KLC
My Current Rating: 4.8
04.
“Kickin’ It For Them Hoes”
Producer:
KLC
>>> This title looks familiar, as well… Okay, I neva reviewed it but I
have it on Soulja Fa Lyfe… Of course,
beat’s hype & how you hold it down fa “them hoes,” on tha verses &
hook, here! My Rating: 4.5
05.
“Bitch Nigga” feat. Slugger & Mushatt
Producer:
KLC
>>>
Anotha one from Soulja Fa Lyfe, here…
Hearin’ tha hook and it’s dope; all about holdin’ it down fa your streetz &
tha streetz! Hearin’ tha 1st
verse & it’s soundin’ nice from you; keep this G-shit up! Keepin’ it movin’
wit tha 2nd verse, soundin’ great, too; good shit… Luvin’ how gutta
and street tha dude on tha 3rd verse sounds; you can hear dem roots
in tha voice! Got you on tha endin’, here, chantin’ for dem “BN”s; good shit! My Rating: 4.5
06.
“You Got It” feat. 6 Shot
Producer:
KLC
My Current Rating: 4.7
07.
“Trife Life” (6 Shot, Corey “C” & Lil’ Shaw)
Producer:
Big Ro
>>> Nice gangsta-soundin’ beat fa tha ‘90s, here… Hearin’ tha 1st
verse & it’s pretty nice… Tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ nice, as well
as tha hook; good shit fa da “trife” livin’… Tha 3rd verse sounds
like some1 else, uncredited? They’re “19, ‘bout ta be 20,” as they say; good
lil’ contribution… My Rating: 4.2
08.
“Word Up” feat. C-Nille Da Bandit & 6 Shot
Producer:
Kreeper
>>>
Sounds like a gutta-soundin’ beat fa tha streetz, here; definitely nice…!
Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse & it’s nice… Not much of a hook,
here? Still flows nicely, I guess? Got tha 2nd verse goin’ on, here;
gotta luv tha dedication fa tha streetz, here! Nice job, C-Nille! Now, 6 Shot
on tha 3rd verse, comin’ through wit just as much street shit as tha
rest of y’all, here; you know what it iz! My
Rating: 4.4
09.
“Killa Konnections” feat. C-Nille Da Bandit & 6 Shot
Producer:
Kreeper
>>>
Hook sounds nice; sounds like a great sequel to tha previous track from all
three of y’all, on here! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & yeah, I feel
tha same way I did for tha lineup, once again! Tha 2nd verse’s
soundin’ nice ta hear, as well; nothin’ much else ta say… You appear on tha 2nd
part of tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit some nice street shit, as
always…! I like how it went acapella, at some point; dope shit! My Rating: 4.4
10.
“Combat” feat. Corey “C” & King Ric
Producer:
Hakeem
>>>
Beat/vibe sounds a lil’ jammin’ but at tha same time, for tha streetz, here…
Hearin’ tha 1st verse from you & you know what it iz wit these streetz;
good shit! Hearin’ tha hook and it sounds nice wit King Ric wit tha singin’
about “Combat!” Sounds like tha Corey “C” dude on tha 2nd verse,
here… Almost thought it was gon be C-Murder,
who was born Corey, lol;
N’awlinzness! Anyway, this dude got some good, consistent rhymes goin’ on,
here; can’t complain… Got anotha dude on tha 3rd verse, here (this
really tha King Ric dude?), soundin’ good fa this beat… I always keep thinkin’
tha dude sayin’, “And, tha BPM…,” on tha hook; random… My Rating: 4.1
Producer:
Big Ro
>>> Sounds good; more on tha east coast-soundin’ fa tha beat, once
again? I think those two were good enough; rather have tha south! Tha 1st
verse not too bad but tha 2nd verse sounds like someone from tha
east or somethin’; good but not sinkin’ in my interest… Tha rest sounds okay; I
just think I’m done with this non-Louisiana-soundin’ music… My Rating: 3.7
½time: Almost all these tracks
are hella dope, here; you know what it iz wit you, Soulja! Just a lil’ thrown
off by how tha New York
sound randomly comes wit tha production…? Either way, a 4.4-rated CD, so far; keep it up!
12.
“Slippin’”
Producer:
KLC My Current Rating: 4.9
13.
“Lil’ Bit” feat. Big Reppa & QB1
Producer:
KLC
>>>
You sound a lil’ like B.G. on tha hook, here; beat’s chill/old-soundin’ fa
“’94,” here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse from you & it cool; likin’
tha Big Band music in tha background, at times…! Got Reppa up next, comin’
through wit some good-soundin’ rhymes, as well; likin’ his vibe ta go wit
yours… Iz it me or do these verses seem like they drag? My Rating: 4.0
14.
“All I See Is Green” (6 Shot, Kay 9Mil & R.E.G.)
Producer:
Big Ro
>>> Sounds okay but this sounds too much like New York, on tha beat… “I’m comin’ from LA;”
this don’t sound like you? Maybe, you mean “New Orleans,
LA,”
rather than “Los Angeles?”
I’ono but I think my non-Louisiana mind’s wanderin’… Either way, a decent 1st
verse, here… Damn, not even ½way through this? Startin’ ta bore me fast wit
this non-Magnolia Slim voice… My Rating:
3.5
15.
“Free Up The Cream” (Hype Click)
Producer:
Big Ro
>>> Anotha non-Louisiana-soundin’ track… Hearin’ tha 1st
verse and tha rhymes sound consistent—fuck!
This 6:45? Why? Even tha “Jay-Z” references; yuck! Where’s tha Louisiana vibe?!
Accordin’ to tha 2nd verse, this has “S-I-X-S-H-O-T” on tha feature;
nice! Like I said, tha consistent lyrics are nice; tha beat ain’t really my
style, tho. My Rating: 3.4
16.
“How Ya Figga”
Producer:
Craig B
>>> Much shorter! This & tha last song’s average length equals,
like, two normal songs… Hearin’ you (finally) on tha 1st
verse & it sounds nice wit this Jamaican sample in tha background, here;
nice… Hook sounds catchy as hell wit how you say tha title; gotta luv tha
gangsta shit! Here you are on tha 2nd verse, as you “take a hit off
tha blunt;” str8-up soulja shit! My
Rating: 4.3
17.
“Watch What U Say” (The Cartel)
Producer:
Craig B
>>> Sounds nice wit this ‘90s beat… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s nice, as
well as what’s goin’ on wit tha verse… Sounds great wit whomever you’re
collaboratin’ with… Lol, just cut off, outta nowhere… My Rating: 4.2
18.
“All Hail The King” (King Ric)
Producer:
Hakeem
>>> “King Ric” from one of tha other—yeah, that’s him on tha verse,
here, soundin’ good… My Rating: 4.1
19.
“Victim Of The System” (Mista Real)
Producer:
Hakeem
>>> This one ain’t you but it sounds good, here… My Rating: 3.8
20.
“3rd Ward Convicted Felons” (3.C.F.)
Producer:
DJ Tee
>>> Sounds a lil’ quieter on tha vocals, here but still cool… Nice
rhymes fa tha verse, here, even tho tha beat back to tha New York shit… My Rating: 3.6
21.
“Suck A Dick” (9 M.M.)
Producer:
DJ Chill
>>> This one cool; all these last tracks pretty quick… My Rating: 3.9
22.
“Bitches Come A Dime A Dozen” (The Black Hand)
Producer: Big Ro
>>> A good lil’ vibe ta end thangz off, here… Feelin’ tha collab,
here; good lil’ vibe… My Rating: 4.0
Overall: Great job wit this one…!
Didn’t realize all of what tha IDs of some of tha people were on here till I
looked on Discogs… I updated tha info, now; should look good.
Rankings:
22.
“Free Up The Cream” (Hype Click) 3.4
21.
“All I See Is Green” (6 Shot, Kay 9Mil & R.E.G.) 3.5
Looks
like we have a compilation for tha next review: Big Belly Records Presents No
Tolerance, released in 1999 on Big Belly Records! Let’s see what it
do…! Start Time: 3:55 PM | End Time: 4:44 PM
Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0
– 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!
I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long
as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and
then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a
song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6
rating, I pretty much really love it,
as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I
hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type
before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song;
anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m
listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have
auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money (which I consider
‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!
01.
Black Boy feat. Shorty Mac “Big Belly At The Door”
>>> Sounds like a nice bounce vibe; good lil’ hook, here… Tha 1st
verse iz your typical bounce party, here; sounds nice… A rapid tongue on tha 2nd
verse, here, soundin’ nice ta hear fa tha streetz…! Even mo rapid rappin’ on
tha 3rd verse, here; definitely nice…! My Rating: 4.2
02.
Gangsta Red feat. Shorty Mac “Gankin’ Bitches”
>>> Almost sounds like a sample in tha 1st verse, based off
tha quality… It’s more on tha quieter side, a bit? Still, it sounds nice fa
this bounce vibe… Seems like this song doesn’t end…? A lil’ too long fa an average
bounce song like dis…; tha rest iz decent fa me. My Rating: 3.6
03.
Big Belly Family “No Tolerance”
>>> Sounds okay wit tha female sayin’ tha title, on tha hook. Tha dude
on tha 1st verse has a Master P-like flow goin’ on, here…; not bad…
I’m feelin’ that dark sound in tha beat, at least… Switchin’ up to that female
on tha 2nd part of tha 1st verse, here; good shit… Dude
spittin’ 3rd’s pretty nice, wit these rhymes; gotta feel tha
consistency…! My Rating: 4.0
04.
Mr. Migg feat. Shorty Mac “Syco”
>>> Sounds like a catchy lil’ N.O. tune fa tha streetz, here, on tha
hook; nice lil’ dark beat, too… Endin’ tha hook wit tha “ooh, child” lyrics…
Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it str8 for tha streetz, here; nice ta
hear… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ good; I digz it… My Rating: 4.1
05.
Gangsta Red “Made Figure”
>>> Sounds good wit this beat, as well as tha hook & 1st
verse; good shit… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ nice ta
hear, as well; keepin’ it goin’, here… Got tha 3rd verse, here &
it sounds good; what else can I say? Keep holdin’ tha streetz down… My Rating: 4.2
06.
Black Boy “On My Way To Hell”
>>> Pretty gutta story, here, on tha 1st verse… Tha beat iz
kinda dry but it fits tha ‘90s, I guess? Hook sounds a lil’ too simple: “I’m on
my way to Hell, on my way to Hell, way to Hell…;” I’ono…; for this good hood
story, I expected it to be less repetitive? Hearin’ tha 2nd verse
and it sounds good, as well; what else can be left…? Tha 3rd verse
sounds good/decent, here; good shit… Okay, tha 3rd hook has some
spooky background vocals, sayin’ tha title part; nice addition…! Even betta
that it says, “On your way to Hell!”
Even got a 4th verse, here; sounds nice ta hear… I think I’m likin’
this more, now that those spooky background vocals came in, for tha last two
hooks! My Rating: 4.3
07.
Black Boy feat. Shorty Mac “Big Belly At The Door (Remix)”
>>> A bounce vibe, here; nice-soundin’ 1st verse, as well…
Tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ nice… I’m also likin’ how seconds b4 tha
2:00 mark, tha rappin’ became real fast…! Tha rest of this not bad; good lil’
joint, here, wit an outro… Nice swerve, toward tha end…! My Rating: 3.8
½time: A 4.0-rated compilation, so far;
sounds like a nice lil’ bounce/NOLA gangsta compilation…
08.
Mr. Pain “Fuckin’ Sniitch”
>>> Beats are pretty dope and dark, here; feelin’ tha screamin’!
Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s soundin’ nice; intense wit when tha
beat gets scary! Luv it! Fits my autistic stoner rap sub-genre! Hearin’ tha
hook and, of course, death to those snitches!
Of course, tha state I’m in, now, has snitches & shit! Gotta get tha fuck
from round this bitch…! Hopin’ to move to tha south in a few years…! 2022,
where ya at…?! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s pretty intense; lol @
when tha scream gets dubbed! My Rating: 4.4
09.
Mr. Pain feat. Paul “Ganxta Ridd” Devoux “Feel Me”
>>> Anotha P-like intro/flow, here… Oh, re-lookin’ at tha title and I
can see why; a P-signature sayin’… Tha 1st verse’s soundin’ nice,
ova this bounce beat; good shit… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s
nice; likin’ tha “yeah…” chant, in tha background! Tha 3rd verse’s
soundin’ nice ta hear for tha streetz, here; I’ll give it props… My Rating: 4.2
10.
Kay-9mil feat. Mista Real “In The Line Of Fire”
>>> Tha hook sounds okay, here; beat’s kinda dry, tho… Hearin’ tha 1st
verse and it’s soundin’ okay, so far… Tha 2nd verse’s soundin’
okay/good; can’t complain… My Rating: 3.5
11.
Mista Real feat. Sessamia “Mama Always Told Me”
>>> Nice lil’ female hook, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse on
this quiet, dark beat… Sounds good wit tha “Girbauds;” only real Gs wear
Girbauds! Tha 2nd verse sounded kinda quick but it had good shit ta
offer… My Rating: 4.2
12.
6 Shot “Uptown”
>>> Sounds like a West Coast-type vibe wit this sample, in tha hook…
Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s dat good street shit fa tha 5-0-4…
“They call [6 Shot] ‘Cappuccino’,” lol… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and
it’s anotha day in tha hood, here; good shit… “Tha S-I-X-S-H-O-T graduated from
Soulja University;” dope! “Wit mo stories than
tha Eiffel;” nice! 6 Shot iz tha Tower!
Great job wit what’s goin’ on throughout tha 3rd verse, here; good
shit…! My Rating: 4.2
13.
R.E.G. feat. 6 Shot “All I See Is Green”
>>> Tha “green” light, here, sounds like tha vision of success, on tha
hook… Hearin’ tha beat and it’s kinda dry, fa a ’99 beat. Prolly would fit in
tha early ‘90s, not tha later ‘90s… Still, got tha “Girbauds” on, durin’ tha 1st
verse, so that’s a plus… Got tha 2nd verse goin’ on, here & it
str8… Tha 3rd verse ain’t too bad, here; still got 2:13 left… Tha 4th
verse ain’t too bad, here; this song seems so long and it’s less than five
minutes! My Rating: 3.4
14.
Melphomene Slim feat. Shorty Mac “The Barber Man”
>>> Sounds like a good hook ta represent, as well as this decent/good
beat… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it str8; can’t say too much, yet…
Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it cool; not much ta still say… Tha rest
of this sounds str8 ta me; more of a chant-like endin’, at times… My Rating: 3.7
Overall: Good lil’ comp; nice job,
y’all!

Broadcasting from tha abandoned West Mountain Sanitarium in Scranton, PA... Today, April 20, 2016, marks eight years since tha murder of New Orleans rapper, Michael Allen, better known by his stage name, VL Mike. Allen was born on January 19, 1976 in New Orleans, LA. As a part of tha N.O.-based rap group, tha Chopper City Boyz, Allen & tha Chopper City Boyz released their debut album, We Got This, on February 27, 2007 on Chopper City Records & Koch Records. Tha album featured tha smash, "Make 'Em Mad", featuring B.G., which was produced by Mississippi heavyweight, David Banner. Tha album sold 27,000 copies in its first week, as it debuted @ #21 on tha Billboard Hot 200 chart, #4 on tha Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, #1 on tha Billboard Top Rap Albums chart, and #1 on tha Billboard Independent Albums chart. Shortly after tha album was released, Allen departed from Chopper City Records and went on to pursue a solo career on Executive Game Entertainment. From there, he released I'm The Truth (Da Mixtape) & Place Yo Betz in 2007. Shortly after, Allen was in talks with signing with Sony BMG & Epic Records, gettin' ready to release his debut album, It's Only One Me. However, on April 20, 2008, at around 1:00 PM, while exiting his vehicle on tha 4700 block of Miles Drive, Allen was shot multiple times by a mysterious gunman in New Orleans, where Allen later died at University Hospital. Word on tha street was that Allen's killer escaped by foot.
Shortly after his death, Allen's final-recorded verse would be released on April 24, 2008, on Baton Rouge's A-Mar & Dyl's "To The Max", with Max Minelli & VL Mike. Around tha same time, Allen's solo debut single, "Money In Here", featuring tha legendary N.O.'s Mannie Fresh, was released. In 2011, Mighty Muzik released Can't Say It 2 My Face, more unreleased material from Allen. If VL were alive today, he would've celebrated his 40th birthday on January 19, 2016, as he was only 32 years-old at tha time of his death.

talk about nothin’ but money and hoes 100,000x (which I consider ‘typical’
topics), I’m not buyin’ it! After I
was robbed by an artist who claimed they “get money,” hearin’ about how much
you “got money” and anything “money” really bothers me. If you have not done
business wit me before, I won’t tolerate “money” talk in tha music!!
Brotha
Beatz on tha beat, here… >>> Sounds like a catchy beat and how you
come through on tha intro to tha intro, wit sayin’ tha same thing twice!
Feelin’ your rhymes, here… My Rating: 4.2
02.
“Kool-G Rap”
Koe
Adams doin’ tha production, here; let’s see what made you have this rapper as
tha title of your song… >>> I wish I “could smell” dat “OG shit,”
right now, Celo! Nice “no actor, but I’mma factor” line; good shit goin’ on in
tha verse… My Rating: 4.3
03.
“Barry White”
Trakaddic
doin’ tha track, here… From a rapper title to a singer title; let’s see…
>>> And, tha sample in tha beat kinda explains tha title, here… Gotta
luv that you “be smellin’ like good weed;” wish I could “smell” it, right now,
ya feel me? Good rhymes tha whole way ‘round on this! My Rating: 4.1
04.
“Preach 2 ‘Em”
Roe
Adams beat. >>> Feelin’ tha rhymes on
this okay beat, here. Tha beat may be okay, but when you rap on it, it adjusts
to tha track, overall, so I can’t complain! Catchy hook, too, about you preachin’ “2 ‘em.” LOL @ tha Trinidad
James “don’t believe me, just watch” quote in tha 2nd verse! Good 3rd
verse, too, about your “life” and shit. My
Rating: 4.0
05.
“Toast To Success” Feat. Young Roddy
Donkody
on tha beat… >>> A decent start with a decent 1st verse
from you… Tha hook ain’t too bad, but I like how it sounds like some supastar
status with tha lyrical content. Young Roddy comin’ through on tha 2nd
verse…; almost sounds a lil’ too young fa you ta collab with, but it ain’t
terrible… My Rating: 3.9
Almost
thought that was 6 Ward Pook on tha feature… Lookin’ forward ta hearin’ this
one with Al Beats on tha beat! And, anotha artist on tha title. >>> Sounds
like an okay joint with a hip-hop soul-like beat, here… You did a nice job wit
your verse, but Juve sounds betta, here! He 2nd on this joint, and
his rhymes are nice and consistent, non-stop! Got one of y’all next (sounds
like Wacko, but he last in tha ID…); it sounds good, once again! 504 style to
tha fullest! Tha 4th verse sounds laidback; good shit. My Rating: 4.2
½time: So far, so good; regular
N.O. music, here, with a 4.1 CD rating, currently!
07.
“Game”
Debo
Beats beat. >>> It sounds like you’re focused, here; nice joint…
There’s really nothin’ much ta say about this, except that you’re consistent
wit droppin’ good music. My Rating: 4.0
08.
“Say Dat” Feat. Curren$y
Got
a family member on tha feature, here, with Anice on tha beat! >>> Sounds
good; can’t complain… Tha rhymes are catchy fa this beat, in a mainstream perspective;
tha hook’s aight, too… You keepin’ tha consistent vibes goin’ wit tha 2nd
verse, too; nice… Spitta on tha 3rd verse, here, comin’ through wit
an okay/catchy verse; glad he consistent, too! My Rating: 4.1
09.
“D Boy”
John G Beats beat. >>> This ain’t too bad…; delivery-wise, it sounds
more like a life story than a rap song fa me. My Rating: 3.6
10.
“Better Days” Feat. Casso
Brotha
Beats beat. >>> Flow’s kinda gettin’ boring, at times, but I don’t
mind hearin’ what you got ta say… Tha beat sounds betta and how tha track
sounds with Casso on tha 2nd verse, here… My Rating: 3.5
11.
“One Night”
Yoady-Yo
Lionheart on tha track; looks like a royal name for a producer, like, Final
Fantasy style! >>> I’m likin’ tha vibrating in tha beginning… Again,
it’s not tha most-exciting sound, so far, but I’m feelin’ how you comin’
through on tha 1st verse. “Freestyle on that couch;” nice. Tha
hook’s okay, here; nothin’ too much ta say about it… Hearin’ tha 2nd
verse, and it aight… My Rating: 3.7
12.
“God Know” Feat. Willie B
Endin’
with a Trakaddic beat. >>> Sounds a lil’ betta, here; not bad wit tha
1st verse… Here you are on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through
wit real rhymes, once again. Feelin’ your pain ova this beat… My Rating: 3.8
Overall: Tha 2nd ½ of
this CD was more on tha decent/okay side fa me. But, this CD still managed ta
get four stars from me. Keep up tha great work; hope we do some shit in tha
future!
I
dunno if I’ll like dis next one but whateva, it was sent to me: B Streezy “The Feature Vol. 1 (Hosted by DJ Hektik)”. Start Time: 8:33 PM | End
Time: 10:03 PM
Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0
– 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I
don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like
it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites,

>>>
DJ Hektik DJin’ here. Weird dat it’s an updated version of “Kiss Kiss” for tha
beat. I’ll just consider this an intro and not a song, yet. My Rating: N/A
02.
“You (Remix)” Feat. Snipe
>>>
Now, this sounds like an updated version of “Shawty”. Your voice kinda scares
me at times but I’m not gonna skip tha songs unless Auto-Tune comes out. Sounds
like it could be a future hit song or somethin’. Snipe sounds a lil’ gay in tha
voice? Thought I’d hear an exact voice, smh. My Rating: 2.4
03.
“Can’t Get Enough” (Joey Queans Feat. B Streezy)
>>>
Since this iz a Rap song featuring you (tha R&B artist), this would be
somethin’ that’s not for me; I’d expect better than a Pop/R&B sound. This
iz decent fa what it iz, though. My
Rating: 3.0
04.
“Cover Girl” Feat. Curren$y
>>>
Not too bad here but why are these songs around/over four minutes? Could’ve
been, like, two or three minutes, instead. Sounds like some interestin’ lyrics
and anotha potential hit single. Okay, where’s Curren$y? Okay, he’s toward tha
end. He sounds quiet but pretty good at tha same time. My Rating: 3.5
05.
“Stripper Of The Year” (Phive Mics Feat. B Streezy)
>>>
Tha intro sounds pretty good wit tha beat… This sounds like tha kinda shit I
used ta be like, “ooh, what iz this new joint/new artist? This’ll be big in
mixshows,” back in, like, 2002-2004. Tha hook’s pretty catchy; definitely
interestin’. I can see Connecticut’s
Hot 93.7 playin’ this (which that quote I just said about myself iz who I was
referrin’ to). My Rating: 3.7

“She’s Bad” Feat. Lil’ Boosie
Oh,
an actual single, here? Not sure if I
heard dis one, yet. Boosie on tha feature so let’s see what’s up… >>> Sounds
a lil’ familiar but I don’t think I know it; pretty good, mainstream-soundin’
shit once again. Funny how Boosie starts tha verse off wit, “jiggin’ out my
body;” funny mix! Anotha decent song… My
Rating: 3.4
07.
“Tomorrow” (Calliope Var Feat. B Streezy)
Ooh,
looks interestin’ wit Var on tha feature! >>> I know all tha songs gon
sound soft but hopefully, I’d expect some hood anthems or somethin’, soon. You
know, some R&B songs have ta go
hard, especially Rap/R&B collaborations. Var spittin’ some hot shit on tha
1st verse; I’m feelin’ what he bringin’ as far as dat gutta,
504-type shit! Not bad on tha hook; let’s keep it goin’… Not bad on tha 2nd
verse… My Rating: 3.6
08.
“My Thing” (Joey Da “Y” Feat. B Streezy)
>>>
This sounds tha best as far as your singin’. I like tha catchy hook and some of
tha Rapish lyrics, too, lol. Tha 1st verse ain’t too bad although
some of tha lyrics are a lil’ Popish for me. Tha other verses are pretty good,
too. I’m surprised dis iz over 4.5 minutes long. My Rating: 3.9
09.
“Freak U” Feat. Y.Luck
I
think I remember Y.Luck from either a review or someone’s review. >>> Sounds
pretty smooth wit your voice here; I’m diggin’ it… Tha hook sounds kinda cool…
Tha “upgrade u” part sounds a lil’ cliché/Beyoncéish… Finally, Y.Luck came
outta nowhere and I dunno, not really feelin’ tha lyrics he’s spittin’. Tha
“T-Pain/Lil’ Wayne”
line kinda creeped me out as far as havin’ a quality ta listen… My Rating: 3.5
10.
“Come Over” (Deno Feat. B Streezy)
Didn’t
even see Deno’s name for a second. >>> Okay, tha beat’s more Rap here.
Not that bad on tha 1st
verse; not sure how much interest I’ll have on dis. You’re on tha hook and it’s
good; handlin’ dis fa Deno pretty good… Tha 2nd verse was decent,
too. Not too bad on tha 3rd verse, either… My Rating: 3.6
½time:3.4 for an R&B mixtape’s CD
rating? Pretty good so far, I must say.
11.
“Body Hot” (Snipe Feat. B Streezy)
This
looks like it’s gonna be “hot”!
>>> Oh, I heard this already and wasn’t originally a fan of tha hook
sample. I don’t remember what I rated it but it’s still a pretty good
collaboration. Nice job fa Snipe havin’ this song and puttin’ you on it. He did
a nice job wit dem verses, in this song’s perspective. My Current Rating: 3.5
12.
“How Would You Like” Feat. Big Choo & 5th Ward Weebie
Interestin’
collaboration… >>> Sounds good fa tha beat start. You’re on tha hook
and it’s pretty good fa what it iz; catchy wit dis beat. 5th Ward
Weebie, that’s my boy! He always does
a nice job when rappin’ and he helpin’ dis joint out! Good shit; good collab! My Rating: 3.8
13.
“Tomorrow” (C-Murder Feat. B Streezy)
Looks
like you did get some mainstream
acknowledgment ‘cause DatPiff removed dis, lol. >>> Even though
C-Murder’s a real tight rapper, this izn’t my kinda song, unfortunately. My Rating: 2.9
14.
“Pussy Good” (Red Da Bull & Allie Feat. B Streezy)
Iz
it Red Da Rula Allie or what it says on DatPiff (“Red Da Bull & Allie”)? Anyway, interestin’ shit; how will it sound?
>>> I’m not too crazy about tha beat but tha hook’s hilarious, lol! Tha
1st verse ain’t too bad from dis Red Da Rula dude. Why’d his voice
turn homosexual toward tha end of tha 1st verse? You can’t eat dick;
no, no! Tha 2nd verse iz a girl? I’m gonna consider tha official feature as “Red Da Bull &
Allie” ‘cause there’s a gurl on tha 2nd verse. Her shit sounds
pretty interestin’, too. I’m really likin’ tha X-rated lyrics! My Rating: 3.9
15.
“Come Over” (Lil’ One Da Rida Feat. B Streezy)
Let’s
hear dis… >>> Sounds like tha Pop/R&B music I’m afraid of. Tha
hook ain’t too bad, though, since
it’s pretty positive fa tha ladies. Tha Lil’ One dude sounds a lil’ like Lil’ Wayne so I’m not sure how
much I should take dis serious… Tha 2nd verse aight… My Rating: 3.0
16.
“Hottest Chic” Feat. Tasha
Unfortunately,
you’re outta luck; this song doesn’t play or was included in tha DatPiff
folder. :( My Rating: N/A
17.
“Cover Girl Pt. 2” Feat. Na’Tee & Allie
Okay,
tha Allie gurl iz correctly ID’d here. Whoa, Na’Tee on tha feature! Let’s hear
dis… >>> Okay, Na’Tee doin’ a nice
job on this really smooth beat; good shit! Tha hook sounds pretty good, this
time; glad you recruited Na’Tee! Damn, how come before Allie’s part, it sounds
like a really long intermission? Anyway, glad she finally came up; she’s
deliverin’ sexiness to tha fullest! My
Rating: 4.0
18.
“Playa For Life” Feat. Raw Dizzy
A.K.A.
Dizzy a.k.a. Raw D.I., lol! Let’s hear what dis collab all about!! >>>
Okay, we’re gettin’ betta wit tha songs all of a sudden; good hook. I like how
tha beat sounds and what you bringin’ as far as attraction when it comes ta tha
ladies. Sounds like an unexpected 1st verse from you; good content
and outta-nowhere lyrics. Same thing wit tha 2nd verse; pretty good…
Dizzy’s on tha 3rd verse, doin’ his thang (as always), keepin’ tha
consistency up! My Rating: 3.9
19.
“Tell You” (Link Feat. B Streezy)
LOL,
a lil’ error on tha back cover: tha “Y” on your name iz in red, lol.
>>> Tha hook sounds pretty sweet here; looks like you got anotha one
on your hands. Pretty good 1st verse; good rappin’ and good song.
Tha 2nd verse iz keepin’ it consistent, too. Tha 3rd
verse came quickly and sounds pretty good, once again. My Rating: 4.0
20.
“Get Loose” Feat. 6 Shot
An
anthem? >>> Ooh, anotha anthem! This iz soundin’ pretty damn good;
good hook! Tha beat’s definitely pretty nice for an R&B/club anthem and you
got tha 1st verse on lock! Tha 2nd verse sounds pretty
good, too. LOL @ 6 Shot comin’ through on tha 3rd verse, Juvenile
style! My Rating: 4.1
21.
Outro Feat. DJ Hektik
#21
not listed on tha back cover, lol? >>> LOL @ this beat in tha
background! :rofl Good info, Hektik! My
Rating: N/A
Overall: This turned out ta be a
pretty good R&B mixtape. You actually scored a lil’ higher than some of tha
reviewz I did within tha 72ish these past seven dayz!
