FTLD'z Louisiana Trip #01: 3.26.2017 - 3.29.2017 (Video)

FrankieThaLuckyDog & Lucky Dogz Entertainment Presents FTLD'z Louisiana Trip #01: 3.26.2017 - 3.29.2017.

Since October 11, 2007, Frankie has been fascinated with underground, Louisiana rap music. All his life, he has always wanted to go down to Louisiana and meet up with everyone. Finally, starting on March 26, 2017, his dream came true! Take a look at who and what Frankie encountered over his four dayz in Louisiana:

Day 1: March 26, 2017:
Frankie & his grandma, Grandma Down the Block, arrive in New Orleans, LA at 6:23 PM, rents his first car & his first hotel. Frankie gets his first drive through I-10 and iz amazed at tha scenery. Frankie then pulls up to tha Hookah Lounge in Baton Rouge, going to tha club for tha first time. He meets up with rappers YB (Dirty Dinero Band Camp), Razy Ray (Dirty Dinero Band Camp), A.R. (In Your Earhole Productions), FY JR (Forever Young Entertainment) & Wolfe, as well as manager, Big Steve (formerly of Millionaire Minds Entertainment).

Day 2: March 27, 2017:
Frankie & his grandma take a trip to DJ/promoter, 3 Way Street Radio's Way 3000's house. They encounter Korey, who's with Travis James Entertainment. Way 3000 shows Korey an award he won on Frankie's 3rd Annual Louisiana Awards of 2010. They then head to Way's old store off Gus Young Avenue, they meet up with Dog Entertainment & Cash Out Entertainment's Tech (Mr. Throw Me Back), Po Boy Express to meet up with Macked Out Music's Big Supa & then, they head to DJ Greg Dukes' studio. As they're chillin' outside with song ideas and ways to encounter different weather, they head into tha studio to meet up with SLF EMP Music Group's Max Minelli, No Limit Forever Records & OJ Entertainment's Sam I Am, Dirty South Productions' Mista Matt (South Coast Coalition) & Koo Shot Ya (as well as Highlife Entertainment producer La'Keith, who made a quick appearance). While there, Frankie signs Greg Dukes wall and even gets interviewed by him on camera.

As they continue to drive around, they are stopped by a moving train for at least 10 minutes. Then, after they get a bite to eat at tha catfish store and shop for new clothes, Frankie & grandma head back to tha hotel to recharge. As Frankie doesn't hear from anyone, Frankie randomly falls asleep. Then, New Go Get It Music & Boss Made Music Group rapper, Beezy Bird, meets him outside tha hotel.

Day 3: March 28, 2017:
Frankie & his grandma head back to meet up with Way 3000. Frankie asks Way 3000 about where to find a voodoo doll at, courtesy of Frankie's manager. They drop his grandma off at tha Mall of Louisiana as they head their separate ways, for tha day. Way 3000 takes Frankie down late rappers Racked-Up Ready & Lil' Handy's old neighborhoods. They then pull up to Sundown to meet up with Jungle Muzik Mafia rapper, MFWeeThang, walkin' around tha area.

As Frankie iz shopping for more clothes and on tha hunt for a Baton Rouge hat, him and Way encounter Black Balloon Global rappers, Ray Vicks & Steve O, in tha parking lot of one of tha urban shops. They then meet up at tha barbershop, doin' a drop for Frankie. They continue to go to late rapper, Dope Celebrity Records' Nu$$ie's old block, featuring Nu$$ie's DCF building and passing Nu$$ie's old house. In tha mist of gettin' ready for tha next siting, Frankie encounters one of rapper Quick's connects for a drop. Then, they head to tha Triple S gas station where CD seller, Alton Sterling was killed at.

As Frankie drops Way 3000 off and rides solo, he meets up with Big Faces Entertainment rapper, Lil' Boxx & then, Legal Dope Records producer, Dre Tree Z. Frankie then hops in tha car with Dre Tree Z to head to Morganza to meet up with Legal Dope Records rapper, P.I.R., a rapper who gets a hold of Frankie every day. On tha way there, Frankie smells somethin' unique: a paper plane, as they cross tha bridge to Morganza. P.I.R. iz starstruck by Frankie and appreciates him to tha max.

Day 4: March 29, 2017:
Frankie & his grandma head to New Orleans to find a voodoo doll and meet up with Gangsta Gumbo DJ/promoter, Jimmy the DJ, tha dude who started Frankie's Louisiana connection on October 11, 2007. They meet up in tha VooDoo Mart and get tha voodoo doll.

Tha trip was a huge success for Frankie, overall, and plans on having more trips in tha future. He expects to meet up with everyone he's fucked with in Louisiana...

FTLD'z Louisiana Trip #01: 3.26.2017 - 3.29.2017

FTLD’z Louisiana Trip #01: 3.26.2017 – 3.29.2017

Since October 11, 2007, I’ve had a fascination with underground, Louisiana rap music, mainly from Baton Rouge. I’ve always wanted to go to Louisiana and meet up wit err-body, but certain obstacles would be in my way. I would continuously ask family members, “Go to Louisiana with me!” They would look at me all judgmental and say, “What’s in Louisiana? It’s dangerous!” In 2010, I tried to go with an underground rapper’s sidekick & he was like, “I’m not going unless you pay for me! My artist’s way bigger than all of them!” That pissed me off and put me in jeopardy of finding some1 to go with ‘cause bein’ autistic, it ain’t easy makin’ friends…

One person I always wanted to go with was my grandma, who has heard damn-near every story I had with Louisiana (getting robbed on November 17, 2011, my radio show, talking to this one, etc.). During my Louisiana connection, she would always have to take care of her mom. On September 19, 2015, her mom passed away & now, she wasn’t trapped with taking care of some1. However, since Baton Rouge producer/rapper, DJ B-Real blocked me on February 5, 2014, I now have a full-time job, working six dayz a week & it’s hard to find coverage.

On January 27, 2017, I opened up to my manager about finally making my debut to Louisiana. She was cool with it & I was able to get tha coverage. I let my grandma know that we can finally make this happen. I chose March 26, 2017 as my debut-in-Louisiana day. March 26 iz my manager’s birthday & she has pushed me into making some interesting, risky, unique decisions. As each day progressed, my anxiety & excitement were both building up, while tryna handle a tough job… I couldn’t believe my dream was finally comin’ true!

On March 25, I flew to Coconut Creek, FL, to meet up with my grandma. However, when I got off my plane at 6:23 PM, my luggage got lost in Charlotte, NC, jeopardizin’ my trip… My flight was scheduled for 6:35 AM tha next day & I ain’t have my luggage. Tha following morning, we had a cab ride scheduled for 4:30 AM… A lack of communication made our cab arrive at 5:22 AM! When we arrived at tha airport, my grandma lost her phone… While lookin’ for tha phone, we missed tha flight; it was rescheduled for 1:35 PM. Her phone wound up bein’ in her car but at this point, will I finally make it to Louisiana? At around 10 AM, American Airlines called us, lettin’ us know that they found my luggage. We got tha luggage and we were finally on our way to Louisiana!

Day 1 in Louisiana: 3.26.2017: At 6:23 PM, I arrived in New Orleans, LA, renting my 1st car & hotel. As I drove an hour to my hotel in Baton Rouge, I’m lookin’ at tha scenery and I’m really impressed with how it looked like a cool jungle. I stayed at tha Hotel Indigo Baton Rouge Downtown hotel and began to hit up peeps that I was in town… Baton Rouge rapper, YB, from tha Forever Young
click, told me to meet him at tha Hookah Lounge nearby; he was performing. I’ve been at bars before, but this was tha 1st time I was at a club… Everything was nice, as I chilled with YB. I showed him birthday luv & got him a hookah to enjoy… We was also kickin’ it wit one of his patnaz, Baton Rouge rapper, Razy Ray. We got pics, drops & watched tha performances happen. One rapper who performed, Baton Rouge rapper, A.R. (Problem Child Entertainment), I had known since 2009.
I approached him when he was done and I was like, “It’s FrankieThaLuckyDog!” He was excited and said, “You been fuckin’ wit me since I was a teenager!” Crazy to know that I was only 20 & he was 18 when I first heard of him, back on Baton Rouge producer/rapper, Beat Flippa’s Street Certified CD on October 16, 2008. He was sellin’ me a CD & I showed him luv by givin’ him $5.00 for tha CD. As I waited for YB to perform, I also ran into Baton Rouge rapper, J.R., from tha Forever Young click & Big Steve, who was Baton Rouge rapper, BluBlack’s old manager. As YB performed, he was like, “I’m sellin’ my new CD fa a dolla…” I was like, “I know you gave me tha CD for free, but you deserve tha dollar! Neva give up! Tha rap game needs you! I need you to continue!!” As I left tha Hookah Lounge, I ran into one more dude, Wolfe, who I ain’t know… He gave me a CD & I have yet to see how he iz…

Day 2 in Louisiana: 3.27.2017: Tha next morning, Gram & I headed to tha Waffle House on College Road in Baton Rouge. After that, during tha 10 AM hour, we hooked up with Baton Rouge DJ/promoter, Way 3000. Way was so happy to see me that when his patna, Corey, affiliated with Baton Rouge labelhead, Travis James, stopped by, Way showed him an award he won from me on my 2010 Louisiana Awards for Louisiana CD Cover Of Tha Year for his Jigg City Rockstars 3(Hosted by Way 3000) mixtape compilation. Way then hopped in tha car & we hit up his old store, located on Gus Young Avenue. He was then gettin’ a hold of artists to try and meet up wit me for my documentary on Louisiana that I was shootin’. We met up wit Baton Rouge rapper, Tech, a.k.a. Mr. Throw Me Back (Dog Entertainment/Cash Out Entertainment) & brought him along for tha ride… They also showed me that tha jiggaz in Baton Rouge no longer have X in ‘em; they have meth in ‘em!

As we continued to drive around BR, we met up wit Baton Rouge rapper, Big Supa (Macked Out Music), formerly of tha Baton Rouge group, Down Bad. We took pics & took one of my favorite pics with Way… We then took a trip to Baton Rouge DJ, Greg Dukes’ studio… As we waited a lil’ while, Dukes & a group of rappers were excited to know that I was in town… Inside tha studio was Baton Rouge rappers Max Minelli (SLF EMP Music Group), Sam I Am (No Limit Forever Records/OJ Entertainment) & Mista Matt of South Coast Coalition (Dirty South Productions). Baton Rouge photographer, Koo Shot Ya, was also present, shootin’ an interview wit Sam I Am. Once tha interview was done, I signed Greg’s wall of signatures. Greg came up with tha idea to get an interview from me, so I told him how dedicated I’ve been for Baton Rouge rap over tha past 10 years. Despite not gettin’ a pic, Baton Rouge producer/rapper, La’Keith (Highlife Entertainment), made an appearance in tha studio, too.

After tha studio session, we headed to Hana’s to check out some new clothes. Tha clothes were pretty dope there, buildin’ my collection. Then, as we were headin’ back to Way’s house, a train was coming. My gram & I ain’t realize how long tha train in Baton Rougetook to cross; lots on one train! After tha train action, I randomly fell asleep, though tryin’ to hit up people in between. Some would answer but none would confirm a time/place to meet. I then finally got a hold of Baton Rouge rapper, Beezy Bird (New Go Get It Music/Boss Made Music Group) & got a pic/drop from him… After Beezy Bird, I wound up meetin’ back up wit Way 3000 at his house for an hour or so & that was that.

Day 3 in Louisiana: 3.28.2017: Tha next day, I went to tha Waffle House & met up with Way 3000 again. This time, he showed me around various hoods, such as Zion City & we went to Sundown, a CD store in Baton Rouge. At Sundown, I met up wit some new rappers from Baton Rouge, includin’ Jungle Muzik Mafia’s MFWeeThang. I filmed them showin’ they ass off, while I copped a Go Tuff mixtape.

After Sundown, we were gas station-hoppin’ for a Baton Rouge/225 hat. Lil’ did I know, it’s a custom-made hat, so most places ain’t have it. As we pulled up to OMO Streets Wear in Baton Rouge, we seen Baton Rouge rapper, Ray Vicks (Black Balloon Records), pull out. We were told to meet him at tha barbershop, so after I bought more clothes, I went to tha barbershop to meet up wit him. He & his boy showed me luv, gave me a CD & it was nice to encounter him. After Ray Vicks, we headed to tha late Baton Rouge rapper, Nu$$ie’s label building, Dope Celebrity Records. I got pics & we passed Nu$$ie’s house, too.

To go with tha legends, we then headed to tha Triple S gas station, where Baton Rouge CD seller, Alton Sterling, was murdered. As I pulled my camera out, err-body at Triple S thought I was with MTV ‘cause I come from New York. I respected tha compliment & took a few more shots…

Once I headed back to tha hotel & ate dinner, I headed to Sherwood to holla at my boy, Baton Rouge rapper, Lil’ Boxx (Big Faces Entertainment). Me tellin’ him about tha passing of my brother & how I’ve evolved really moved him and he really respects how I’m a “consistent, undefeatable savage,” as I say.

After Boxx, I headed back to tha hotel to meet up with Simmesport, LA producer, Dre Tree Z (Legal Dope Records), who produces for Morganza, LA rapper, P.I.R. (Legal Dope Records). After we met up, he gave me a ride all tha way to Morganza to meet up with P.I.R. & it was nice.
P.I.R. was starstruck to finally meet me, after bein’ connected with me for six years. P.I.R.’s one of tha most-dedicated people I’ve dealt with, as he texts me every day to see what’s good. Once we met up, Dre Tree Z dropped me off at tha hotel. Interesting enough, we smelt a paper plane as we were passin’ tha Audubon Bridge to P.I.R.’s house. To wrap up tha night, I headed back to Way 3000’s crib; he gave me a few CDs. After nearly fallin’ asleep on his chair, I headed back to tha hotel…

Day 4 in Louisiana: 3.29.2017: Our final day in Louisiana featured my gram & I headin’ to New Orleans to see Bourbon Street. I picked up a voodoo doll for my manager, by request, as well as a shirt for one of my favorite co-workers. Then, in tha Voodoo Mart, I met up with Kenner, LA DJ, Jimmy The DJ & I gave him an update on myself. Jimmy’s tha one that started my Louisiana connection & it was nice to finally meet him. After we met him, we headed to Coconut Creek, FL, via car, to kick off tha 2nd ½ of my vacation…

My advice to anyone trying to achieve whatever dream they wanna accomplish: It’s gonna take a while! Years—well, a decade for me!! No matter if you’re tha opposite race as most of tha entire culture you’re passionate about, you ARE accepted! Just know that you have somethin’ in common: tha passion for what y’all love!! It sux that I lost a brother along tha way but that just made me fearless! You’re gonna run into a lotta obstacles along tha way! Don’t give up!! You’re gonna have to spend thousands!! Spend thousands of dayz, hours, etc. just to build your reputation! Here I am, 1,700 CD reviewz later, finally accomplishing my dream of makin’ it to Louisiana! I did it!! And, I’m autistic! I defeated every barrier that was in my way and I’m happier than ever!! You can accomplish your dream! Mine came true at 28 years-old! Now, all I have to do iz get DJ B-Real to unblock me and reconnect with me & I’ll be all complete!

Review #1,395: 3 Way Street Radio Presents "Got Pills 4: 100% Jigged Out"

Reviewed on 3.31.2014 (Review #1,395)

Got a quick review, up here. It’s actually from September 13, 2011, but when I first downloaded it, I had trouble extracting tha mixtape. Then, just a few dayz ago, Way 3000 uploaded tha whole CD to YouTube. While I was downloadin’ tha YouTube audio, I re-downloaded tha original file, to get track names, and I was able to open—not extract—each file! Shit, if only I would’ve known! This long-lost review’s 3 Way Street Radio Presents Got Pills 4: 100% Jigged Out. Each song on here’s from 2010, though released on September 13, 2011. Lookin’ at tha tracklist, and wow, completely different times, compared to now! Been robbed by two fuck niggaz from BR since this came out, so you know I’ve been through some shit, since! I think almost each artist on this mixtape either got into some bullshit with me, didn’t thank me for awards, or some other shit on here. I’ll try and not say anything, but if Way 3000 hits me up about it, I’m open to talk about anything! So, to be fair, all of my ratings’ll be as of September 13, 2011. If I’ve heard tha song already, I’ll just post a rating. Start Time: 10:32 AM | End Time: 11:18 AM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes 100,000x (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it! After I was robbed by an artist who claimed they “get money,” hearin’ about how much you “got money” and anything “money” really bothers me. If you have not done business wit me before, I won’t tolerate “money” talk in tha music!!

01. Quick & Money Bagz Feat. Big Poppa & DJ B-Real “Two Of Those”
No B-Real on tha ID, lol! BTW, I wanna know why he’s afraid of jiggaz, all of a sudden! On March 8, 2013, he was on tha phone with me, coughin’. I joked and said, “You need some jiggaz,” and he answered me all scared, somethin’ like, “No, I don’t fuck wit them,” or somethin’. Meanwhile, that’s tha name of his label, Jigga House Records! He told me he wouldn’t tell me what was wrong wit jiggaz ‘cause he had someone in tha car. I neva got tha chance to remind him, and now, he don’t even have a phone/iz nowhere to be found, so I may not eva know… Either way, hope I can find out soon ‘cause that’s really contradicting from his label name!! My Current Rating: 4.9

02. Lil’ Boosie Feat. Shell, Mouse & DJ B-Real “Cartoon”
He’s on this ID, too, though I don’t eva remember his part on here… Funny how this came out just weeks before B-Real & I started connectin’… I prolly would’ve been more excited reviewin’ this, at tha time, anticipatin’ that moment of startin’ to connect wit B-Real! My Current Rating: 4.8

03. Big Poppa “Mr. AAA”
This had to’ve been on a different compilation, like 5150 & Dre, when I first heard it… Wow, their first release, N.O. To The B.R. (Louisiana Bound), I see; a 2009 song, here… My Current Rating: 4.3

04. Ville Boyz Feat. Level “All In”
My Current Rating: 4.5

05. Quick & Money Bagz Feat. Lil’ One “Where They Do That At”
No, 3000, it’s “Where”, not “Were”! My Current Rating: 4.5

06. Webbie “My People”
My Current Rating: 4.3

07. Quick & Money Bagz Feat. Lil’ Boosie & Locco “Da Roof”
Also, featuring Locco! My Current Rating: 4.6

08. K-Chill “Take It Outside”
K-Chill’s, like, one of tha only ones normal that I still talk to; neva had an issue wit him! My Current Rating: 4.6

09. Lil’ Boosie Feat. Foxx, Lil’ Trill, Webbie & Mouse “Better Not Fight”
You forgot Mouse on tha ID… My Current Rating: 4.5

½time: Looks like one of my Tha Louisiana Archives mixtape compilations I would put together… Just sounds like a bunch of songs I already heard that are real nice fa this CD! Not one song’s close ta suckin’, and in tha middle of this CD, this mixtape’s worth a 4.6 for tha CD rating!

10. Badd Nooze “Mental Home”
My Current Rating: 4.7

11. Supa Feat. Level & Big World “No Emotions”
LOL @ tha no Big World on tha ID… But, this mixtape came out just months before Supa succumbed to blockin’ me on Facebook, all ‘cause he couldn’t handle tha support I was showin’ him, on my 2011 year-end countdown! Would’ve liked to spell his name outta scratch-off lottery tickets fa his birthday, last Sunday, but I keep forgettin’ that tha result of tha Lucky Dog supportin’ on tha East Coast always ends with a middle finger in my ass, smh! My Current Rating: 4.5

12. Tech “Flash Out”
Can’t remember when he dropped tha “h” from his name… Actually, I just googled it, and your Reverbnation came up, with an “H”… I dunno why, but I don’t remember this one; I gon have ta rehear… >>> Lookin’ online, and I see that it’s tha only 2011 joint on here, so far. Also, I see tha video was uploaded just a few months ago; took so long for a video? Anyway, sounds nice wit this beat, and, of course, Tech’s a beast wit them “chewies!” At least he ain’t afraid of jiggaz like B-Real was tellin’ me, smh! LOL, even “Better Not Fight”-quoting, too, on tha 1st verse… Gotta feel everythang he spittin’! Can’t believe I talked ta such a blessed artist like him, though, I wish I could get a hold of him through Facebook, Instagram, etc.; he need ta have more of a social media following! Gotta luv tha flashin’; Tech one of tha kings of tha Baton Rouge undaground scene, ya dig?! Anotha normal dude! And, tha 2nd verse goes ham, too; tha beat just really holds him down!! Wow, my excitement on this track’s review literally sounds like how excited I was, reviewin’ in 2011! Glad Tech can bring that outta me in 2014!! Pretty rare that somebody can bring this excitement outta me, nowadayz! “Already!!,” just like my boy, Jiggaman, from Opelousas, says, and I fuckin’ luv when he says that!! Also, Big Josh on tha beat!! My Rating: 4.8

13. Quick & Money Bagz “Box It Out”
Or, “However You Wanna Do It”! My Current Rating: 4.8

14. Down Bad Feat. Level “Loritabs & Zanibars”
I LOL @ this title all tha time, that “Lori”’s in tha “tab”’s name, lol! But, I don’t remember if I heard this, before (though I’ve seen it). >>> Rehearin’ it, real quick, and it sounds pretty entertainin’ and classic on tha hook! I still ROFL @ JR Dot for questionin’ me if I knew “who Juicy J” was! OMG, everytime I hear Juicy J, that’s what I think about, now! Too funny; guess that’s what them “loritabs and zanibars” do? Cage a beast wit that character of his wit tha 1st verse… And, of course, Level blah-blah-blah wit his verse… JR Dot (I believe) on tha 3rd verse’s crazy as fuck wit his character! And, Mike Sneezzy a fool wit tha beat! Way 3000 on tha outro; just gotta luv him ta death!! “Too many damn pillz;” you already know, bruh!! My Rating: 4.8

15. Louisiana Ca$h Feat. Dorrough “She Know”
Think you forgot tha “How To Do It” in tha title, lol? My Current Rating: 4.2

16. Level Feat. Dorrough “Is You Wet Yet (Remix)”
Remix, here, though boring feature, twice in a row… My Current Rating: 4.0

17. Dog Feat. Foxx “Put Da Dick Down”
Before Dog started deletin’ IG comments fa no reason! Of course, tha blame’s always on me for bullshit, smh! My Current Rating: 4.4

18. Young Ready Feat. Level “Bungy Jump”
My Current Rating: 4.7

19. Trill Fam Feat. Lil’ Boosie, Webbie, Foxx, Lil’ Trill & Mouse “Turn The Beat Up”
Can’t forget about Mouse, again, lol! My Current Rating: 4.5

Overall: Nice job, 3 Stacks! Turned out to get five stars from me, despite me knowin’ almost every song! Keep up tha great work; lookin’ forward to Got Pills 5, though I gotta find a way to evade bullshit… Maybe, havin’ a job now, I’ll care less about bullshit/deleted comments from people, since I’m makin’ money, now!

Review #1,088: Dog Da Cutthroata "Look At Me Now"

Reviewed on 12.02.2011 (Review #1,088)

My 3rd review for today iz Dog Da Cutthroata Look At Me Now. Start Time: 4:49 PM | End Time: 5:20 PM

If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I already love it. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating! Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “Dumb Ass”
LOL @ this startin’ title! >>> Pop start? How iz everything automatically “ready”? Must be good… Sounds good; lol @ tha cocky attitude. How you automatically have a “bitch,” too; ain’t that hard? My Rating: 4.0

02. “Drug Head”
! >>> Sounds good; beat almost sounds like “My Dougie”, though. LOL @ tha English hook for this content, automatically admittin’ ‘bout those drugs, lol. A lil’ bit of Young Wee-zo “Pills” remake on tha 2nd verse, which ain’t too bad, either… My Rating: 4.1

03. “What I Want” Feat. Ms. Intoxicated
She’s a “Ms.”, according to what she says (not a “Mrs.”). >>> What does “major” mean to you? Sounds catchy wit tha shit you’re bringin’ to tha table; nice hook from tha hot-soundin’ Ms. Intoxicated! LOL @ how you sound on tha 2nd verse wit tha cockiness… I don’t really like tha “BET” line; sounds kinda mainstream, but also, it’s not like they’re even special, now, in 2011! Tha rest from you sounds like tha same shit goin’ on, here, too; decent/good… My Rating: 3.9

04. “Keep It Real With Yoself” Feat. Goozie Goo & Foxx
Forgot to combine “Yo” with “Self”; compound word. LOL, Foxx already? Of course, this CD had ta have him. >>> An online beat for a Foxx feature, lol? Sounds okay; I thought it would be more depressin’ wit this not-so-special beat… Tha 1st verse sounds like you have a good perspective on keepin’ it just to yourself, Dog… LOL, this sounds too soft for Foxx to have his high energy on; odd mix, but it goes, I guess. My Rating: 3.5

05. “Rite Now” Feat. Foxx
Anotha Foxx feature, so fast? >>> Sounds like it could’ve went on that CD I just reviewed of his. Anyway, it’s good/okay for a “fuck” song; nothin’ much for me to say. My Rating: 3.7

06. “Drug Talk” Feat. Foxx & Hurk
LOL, anotha one?! >>> Finally, a new person (Hurk), doin’ a nice job on tha hook wit this 2nd “drug” song, lol. Foxx’s good wit his energy, as always; nice 1st verse. LOL @ you and your “drug”-ass on tha 2nd verse; wonder how hard it iz to get these drugs? Tha 3rd verse iz Hurk, comin’ through wit some good shit. LOL, she knows about how ta handle gurls and gettin’ “loaded,” even though this tha 1st time I heard him? Odd wit this automatic ability, but it sounds good… My Rating: 3.8

07. “Let It Go” Feat. HD
>>> Awful start/hook; why iz it so long??? Too much singin’; not for me! My Rating: 1.3

08. “Hey Baby” Feat. Goozie Goo
>>> LOL @ how you say, “Goozie Goo.” I like tha lil’ reggae-soundin’ hook; hope y’all didn’t jack tha style from somebody (e.g., Kevin Gates)! You sound like you have a familiar flow, here, on tha 1st verse; catchy… You’re even on tha 2nd verse, too? Nice job, again; I guess Goozie’s on tha hook wit tha new voice? My Rating: 3.9

09. “Outta Town” Feat. Goozie Goo
>>> Damn, a new beat tag for Lil’ Cal? Even worse, it’s two lines; rather tha previous one (two lines or not)! But, it’s soundin’ hot; glad ta hear some original production like this… I like how tha hook sounds, here; damn, don’t say, “money,” since I hate hearin’ about rappers talkin’ about it, especially if I’ve neva done services wit tha people! Sounds like an okay/good 1st verse from you, here… LOL, Goozieless on tha 2nd verse, since it’s you; I always think he gon offer more than just a hook… Anyway, I wonder how you got all this “outta town” shit; izn’t it really hard? I wouldn’t know where to begin. My Rating: 4.0

½time: A 3.6-rated CD, currently; one dealbreaker, a few that are decent, and a few good jointz.

10. “Mafia” Feat. Foxx
>>> Sounds good for a slower-produced song for tha streetz, although I dunno ‘bout this 5:12 length… You comin’ through wit some shit for tha hood, even though you say you “went commercial”? Foxx has some good energy, again; feelin’ tha consistent flow! My Rating: 3.8

11. “Eat U From Da Back” Feat. Mz. Tequi
LOL @ this title. >>> Sounds funny; nice moanin’ from Tequi, includin’ tha “do me like dat” parts! She could sound like any age wit her voice; nice and unique! You good wit cumin’ (lol) thru for Tequi, here, and she’s soundin’ pretty good, too. Definitely a plus wit these lyrics, of course; can’t deny ‘em! My Rating: 4.2

12. “Muggin’ In Tha Club” Feat. Sam I Am
LOL @ tha random features! At least they’re different people that I really like! >>> Of course, A+ on tha hook from Sam I Am, even though it sounds recycled, a lil’? LOL @ Sam I Am’s references to you; sounds cool, especially wit how he keeps it goin’ on tha 1st verse! You sound pretty good on tha 2nd verse, too; nice lil’ joint, here, wit nothin’ wrong wit it! Definitely a nice vibe for what’s been goin’ on wit this CD! My Rating: 4.4

13. “U Wanna Leave” Feat. R. Jay
>>> Not tha moanin’ I “wanna” hear; rather hear Tequi, but this could’ve been worst… Your rhymes ain’t too bad, here; what’s up wit everyone and these “doing wrong” thoughts? Nobody’ll ever be married in BR? SMH… My Rating: 2.9

14. “Face In Tha Pillow”
>>> Sounds like it could be good; too bad no female on tha feature to help you out, though. LOL, a short song that sounds good for tha ladies, here… My Rating: 3.7

15. “Wateva” Feat. Tech & $hizz
Yes, a different collab! >>> Sounds like tha style I used to really like from you; nice hook and production goin’ on, here! LOL, sounds like you’re all prepared for pussy-asses, lol; eva fear tha hood? LOL, Tech came outta nowhere; sounded a lil’ funny and odd when he said, “Milliyone Musik,” lol. Always a unique flow from Tech; glad he came through fa this CD! LOL, Yung $hizz randomly appeared on tha song, comin’ through wit some tightness! Whoa @ this “40 glock” shit, outta nowhere; glad I haven’t seen a gun since January 23, 2008! My Rating: 4.5

16. “Sweet Thang” Feat. J.R. Coldblooded
>>> This ain’t too bad wit tha beat and tha singin’; good for tha ladies… My Rating: 3.3

17. “Grandma”
>>> Kinda long on tha length and it sounds quiet… Not sure what’s up wit tha hook and tha random voice; I’m likin’ tha beat for a slow song, here. Usually, I can’t feel peoples’ emotions, but I’m able to feel yours, here; nice job wit tha true emotions. Not really my kinda song, but good job wit it, though. My Rating: 3.1

18. “Thank’n ‘Bout My Past”
>>> No wonder it says, “mixtape,” in tha ID: a jacked beat. Don’t really wanna hear you on an East Coast, Diplomats-soundin’ beat. “I’m only 19;” was this recorded in 2004 or somethin’, when you were “19”? Wait, “I’m 22, now;” now, it’s 2007? Okay, but no interest wit this beat. BTW, it’s “past,” not “pass.” My Rating: 3.0

Overall: Not as great as I expected it to be, but at least tha features came through for you.

Review #795: Dog & Tech "Double Dose'n"

Reviewed on 12.29.2010 (Review #795)

My 6th review for today iz Dog & Tech “Double Dose’n”, sometime from ’09. I’m sure this iz after “Baton Rouge Diamond” since dat came out in May 2009 but I’m not 100% sure. Start Time: 5:52 PM | End Time: 6:38 PM

Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! 01. “Causing Problems” Feat. Shyne
Up first, we have a production from Last Man; this definitely should go over well!!! >>> You know this shit’s official; gotta luv tha production! Luv tha flow you guys have; it’s nice and slow/well-paced! Good shit on tha 1st verse, Dog. ROFL, what tha hell’s up wit tha hook? Didn’t expect Shyne ta be a gurl but it does sound pretty tight; her voice iz somewhat sexy, lol. LOL, Tech’s a character, doin’ his thang on tha 2nd verse wit dis shit! My Rating: 4.6

02. “Gin Bottle” Feat. D Boy
Must be a jacked or online beat since there’s no sourced produced. >>> It still sounds pretty good here; good hook! Thumbs up ta havin’ D Boy on tha 1st verse! This must be his song featurin’ y’all since you have you guys listed on tha feature on this song. I really like D Boy’s “don’t fuck wit meeeee” shit in tha 2nd ½ of tha 1st verse; good shit here! LOL, wildin’ out on tha 2nd verse wit tha way y’all spit this shit! You know Tech wildin’ out, lol! Or, was dat Dog? I get tha voices confused here and there, lol, my bad. Here’s a Modie beat; what do we got here? >>> A minute longer than before and tha production still sounds nice. Tha hook’s definitely nice wit how y’all define tha hook and y’all, ya dig? Tha 1st verse sounds tight! Yea, “fuck” a dad; strictly how I feel at times when it comes ta balancin’ things! Good shit, Tech! Some real shit comin’ outta tha 2nd verse from Dog; it’s all about escapin’ tha bullshit! Some mo real, street shit comin’ outta tha 3rd verse from Tech; good job wit tha definitions! My Rating: 4.3

05. “Fuck No”
Good attitude here and it says, “[mixtape],” so it must be an online beat again. >>> It doesn’t even sound like an online beat; sounds original. I guess that’s how good y’all are when it comes ta choosin’ beats! You know Dog’s comin’ through wit dat catchy-ass flow on tha 1st verse; good shit! Lookin’ forward ta hearin’ Young Hits produce some new shit fa you, accordin’ to tha last phone call we had. LOL, I knew tha hook was gonna be really catchy and tha title proves all tha bullshit goin’ on/bein’ anti to bullshit! LOL, here’s Tech on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit his kick-ass shit! Feelin’ what he spittin’, too! My Rating: 4.5

06. “She Like It”
Self-produced by Dog; let’s hear it! >>> Sounds like anotha interestin’ beat! No matter who tha producer iz on this CD, everything blends into greatness!! Tha hook’s pretty catchy; feelin’ this female anthem! LOL, Tech comin’ through wit tha catchy-ass-soundin’ 1st verse!! LOL, how much can you consume, Tech? LOL! LOL, Dog’s even in tha mood here on tha 2nd verse; crazy shit! You know y’all always entertain me to tha fullest! LOL, crazy Tech on tha 3rd verse, keepin’ dis shit consistent! LOL, even Dog comin’ through on tha 3rd verse, too! My Rating: 4.4

07. “Refill”
Uh oh, lookin’ like a tight anthem, produced by Last Man!! >>> LOL, simple hook but definite plus on what y’all actually need a “refill” on, ya dig? I like tha “afta 4” shit; interestin’ shit, especially tha “pop two” shit. LOL, how much shit can I talk about wit dis 1st verse, lol? Tha actual hook sounds pretty nice; definitely some good shit here! LOL, here we are wit Tech on tha 2nd verse; can’t ask fa anything betta! You know what it iz wit dis song! My Rating: 4.5

08. “Show Ya” (Dog Solo)
A solo song from Dog on a mixtape beat; let’s hear it! >>> Again, fits great wit this CD, itself! LOL @ tha club content here; crazy shit, Dog! Tha hook’s pretty catchy; you gon “show [‘em]” err-thang ‘bout “rollin’”, lol! My Rating: 4.1

½time: Anotha classic-soundin’ CD from y’all; you know what it iz!!! Current CD Rating: 4.5

09. “Get’n Older” Feat. Fat Slim
Let’s see what Last Man gon offer wit dis joint… >>> Ooh, smooth lil’ start wit tha great sound. Ooh, it got betta toward tha 2nd ½ of tha intro; I feel like it’s tha ‘90s! Dog’s on tha 1st verse and this shit’s pretty tight; really feelin’ this beat!! Iz dat Fat Slim on tha hook? Not bad; I like his instant voice-jumps into parts of tha hook, lol. Crazy-ol’ Tech has some good, real shit ta offer on tha 2nd verse; I feel all dis. My Rating: 4.6

10. “Late Nite”
Uh oh, Dog-produced beat!! >>> Yea, feelin’ tha start to tha beat!! LOL, what a tight hook right here! Y’all got shit on here, ya dig? LOL, here’s Tech on tha 1st verse, doin’ tha damn thang in an intoxicated perspective, lol! Tha hook’s definitely real nice, once again! Nothin’ but dat straight-up, street-type shit!! LOL, “paranoid”-Dog on tha 2nd verse, spittin’ some good shit, too. My Rating: 4.5

11. “Drank N My Hand”
Produced by Last Man; let’s get it! >>> This sounds pretty good; y’all know how ta make dem jamz! Tha hook’s real catchy; dumb shit!! LOL, feelin’ all tha drums in tha beat before tha hook ended!! Definite plus, especially when you have a crazy-ass character like Tech, lol!! Speakin’ of Tech, he’s on tha 1st verse, doin’ tha damn thang to tha fullest!! Really likin’ tha near-soundin’-Early-2000’s production as well as how y’all handle tha track! This must be after “Baton Rouge Diamond” ‘cause Tech was just singin’ “Jumbo”. Here’s Dog on tha 2nd verse, of course, doin’ his thang wit all tha drugs, lol! My Rating: 4.7

12. “Oooooh” Feat. Willie G
Let’s hear dis Cali Cal-produced joint! >>> LOL, good production and nice hook here; you know what it iz! “I like,” in an interestin’ way, dat dis iz dedicated to tha ladies; good shit! I’m likin’ tha 1st verse from Willie G; great collab! Y’all fuck wit some serious people dat rep tha undaground of 225 hard!!! LOL, I like tha lil’, quick “Dog Da Cutthroata, mayne” part before tha 2nd verse! Soundin’ very dedicated here; you know what it iz! LOL, Tech, Tech, Tech!!! “Mo cake in her pants…;” dumb shit!! My Rating: 4.5

13. “Stay N Line”
Produced by Cali Cal again; lookin’ forward ta hearin’!! >>> Anotha catchy song, here, wit real-good production! Tha hook’s real catchy dat definitely “[stays] ‘n’ line” wit tha repetitiveness! Tha 1st verse sounds good wit tha “’Bauds” and shit, stayin’ fresh! You almost sound like Tech here, Dog; I sometimes confuse y’all, lol. Tech’s on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit his great character, once again! My Rating: 4.4

14. “Gangsta N A ½” Feat. Geezie
I think you meant to subtract tha “I” in tha “In” ‘cause “in ½”? >>> Oh, “Dunn Dunn” beat; sounds good wit y’all on it! Yea, this iz “Gangsta N ½” plus an “A”, lol. Good shit wit tha 1st verse, ya dig? Whoa, a newbie hopped onto tha 2nd verse! Shout out ta Geezie, reppin’ “Louisiana” pretty tough!! Definitely some gutta shit; he a thug to tha fullest!! LOL, Tech comin’ through on tha 3rd verse wit his “gangsta” shit, lol. I can feel what he sayin’ right here; true shit! My Rating: 4.4

15. “Lookin’ Fa Luv” (Tech Solo) Feat. Tuddie
A beat from Modie right here and a solo from Tech; let’s hear it! >>> Oh, Tuddie’s a female; sounds pretty good and tha beat’s interestin’. LOL, are all Tech solos 5.5 minutes long, lol? Interestin’ rhymes; you won’t luv you, Tech? You’re real, real, real crazy, lol!!! When you were talkin’ ‘bout “[your] girl givin’ you spirit” when it came ta “not havin’ a granny and parents separated,” I would say, think positive! We can’t lose someone like you, ya dig? You real crazy wit it and someone like you has buku character; gotta keep people like you around for a real long time!!! My Rating: 4.2

16. “Throw Me Back (Remix)” Feat. Ms. Intoxicated
Well, Ms. (without tha “R”), lol. LOL, glad this iz on here! And, you forgot ta list dat Last Man produced dis tight-ass song, ya dig? Lemme paste tha review from last year: Tha intro gets you ready fa this hot joint and tha hook iz a great dance; not a gay one!! Tha 1st verse has a real great flow from Tech, doin’ tha damn thang, includin’ Ms. Intoxicated comin’ in, wantin’ ½ of Tech’s pillz, lol! But yea, Tech did a real nice job deliverin’ dat hot shit on tha 1st verse; gotta luv his flow and himself fa what he does!!! Dog iz on tha 2nd verse and at first, his voice was not noticeable. When I heard tha 2nd remix, I couldn’t figure out which person was him. But afta this mixtape, I’ll know who he iz ‘cause he’s more noticeable, now. Plus, I’m glad he fuckin’ wit Jay Regal & M.A. (a.k.a. J.A.P.A.N.)! And, Ms. Intoxicated did her thang on tha 3rd verse. I rememba when I first reviewed it, I said, “lovin’ tha ‘___ threw me one, and ___ threw me one’” (referrin’ to passin’ tha pillz) and I said, “LOL @ tha pill tossing! Err-body ‘throwin’ each otha one.’ Now that contributes to a good BR verse; pill tossing! Nothin’ gets betta than a mix of tons of shit! … Ms. Intoxicated’s [verse] bein’ tha most interesting one to hear…” Once again, a real interestin’ verse from Ms. Intoxicated and this song goes down as a memory in 2009!! I always enjoyed tha song to tha fullest and I’m real glad y’all makin’ some pill music and keepin’ it alive!!!!! My Current Rating: 4.7

17. “Intoxicated” (Dog Solo)
LOL, what’s this? Not on tha back cover… >>> Sounds like a real tight, Dog-produced song! Oh, it’s “Intoxicated”, lol, produced by Last Man! Here’s tha review fa dis, too: You know when you hear a beat sound/horns like that in tha beginning, it’s definitely on ‘n’ poppin’!! I hear him on tha intro and tha hook goin’ hard, ya dig? Gotta luv tha simple hook, as tha title just basically explains itself, ya dig? Tha 1st verse has an interestin’ flow here; reminds me of tha “Throw Me Back” flow and I definitely felt it, ya dig? It’s all about soundin’ cool; him and Tech know how ta make sum real great music!!! Prolly tha best discovery from Way 3000, ya dig?!? Even comin’ through nice on tha 2nd verse, “rollin’ anotha blunt” on this shit right here! I still can’t get enough of this flow; it’s just real nice!!! Definitely liked tha verse and I most definitely enjoyed it to tha fullest, ya dig?!? It’s great ta name your song afta your female partner Ms. Intoxicated, ya dig? My Current Rating: 4.6

Overall: Anotha 5-star released CD from y’all; you know I luv what y’all do!!! Keep teamin’ up wit your production team and keep tha new features comin’, too!!
