Review #1,383: Black Noise Records "The Big Picture"
Reviewed on 3.13.2014 (Review #1,383)
Keepin’
tha reviewz goin’, up next iz Black
Noise Records The Big Picture!
This tha follow-up to 2011’s Back 2
Business mixtape, which was hosted by DJ Smallz. As always, Black Noise
Records consists of people like BluBlack, Hannibal, S.O.S., Kidd, Blu3 Da Truth
(BluBlack’s younger brother) & others. Lookin’ forward ta hearin’ this one!
Start Time: 10:26 AM | End Time: 3:00 PM
Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0
– 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!
I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long
as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and
then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a
song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6
rating, I pretty much really love it,
as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I
hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type
before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything
after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening
to it. If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or
talk about nothin’ but money and hoes 100,000x (which I consider ‘typical’
topics), I’m not buyin’ it! After I
was robbed by an artist who claimed they “get money,” hearin’ about how much
you “got money” and anything “money” really bothers me. If you have not done
business wit me before, I won’t tolerate “money” talk in tha music!!

BluBlack “BluBlack Freestyle”
Hope
I can get through these reviewz… My room iz a mess from renovatin’ my
closet/gettin’ rid of old shit. I can’t put my little heater on, due to shit
everywhere, and it’s cold today:
But,
let’s get this thang started and see how long I last, today! >>> Sounds
like classic BluBlack right chea! Even a beat that sounds like he might’ve
produced? Catchy-ass flow fa this freestyle, or should I say, sample of a new
track? “Yeah!!” Classic Blu-soundin’ track, right there!! My Rating: 4.6
02.
Hannibal Feat.
BluBlack, Kidd & Reese Da Don “Nothing For A Mobster”
Looks
anticipatin’, and it has that classic long length of 5:38 on tha length, kinda
like tha “Dat Potion” dayz, wit tha four people! >>> So far, pretty
nice wit tha hook! “Mobster, eatin’ lobster;” catchy hook, Hannibal! I’m definitely feelin’ it!! Tha beat sounds pretty nice, like tha ’02
dayz of Lil’ Flip & Chamillionaire “U See It”; #TBT!! Blu on tha 1st
verse, comin’ through wit some consistent rhymes fa tha G-Lane! “A week ago”
wit tha “purp;” nice!! A laughing Hannibal
on tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through wit “buku broads;” that’s
what’s up! Even might be “on dat pill”? That’s what’s up, again!
“Promethazine!” Such a catchy hook
that you can’t deny!! “Mobster!!”
“Lobster!!” Here’s Kidd on tha 3rd verse, “tryna not be dat nigga
pickin’ dandelions;” I feel ya! Ya gotta get that growth by gettin’ ya music
out there! I hate people that “snitch;”
I’m dealin’ with my brother’s snitchin’, as we speak! He gets so fucked up from
me speedin’ 10 over tha speed limit, to where he has to whine to my mom to tell
her I smoke weed, at times, and had found a crack pipe while lottery ticket
hunting! He even smashed it against my bed, glass all over, and I was crying!
Fucked up!!! Okay, I hear just a beat, right now, after tha 3rd
verse; where iz Reese? Or, iz he on tha hook wit Hannibal? Can’t exactly tell, since there was
a long beat outro and I thought I’d hear a verse… My Rating: 4.8
03.
BluBlack Feat. Slugga “So Tired”
Don’t
think I’m 100% familiar wit this Slugga…; I know there’s one outta tha N.O.,
though. >>> Sims doin’ tha beat, but why that gay-ass auto-tuned tag
from so long ago? You realize it’s 2013, here? Anyway, nice beat, not
depressin’, and Blu sounds good on tha hook! Yea, “I’m so tired” of this Pennsylvania bullshit
life I’m livin’ wit no job! Ugh! Blu on tha 1st verse, comin’
through, “fuckin’ make it happen” iz his perspective; I feel him! “Black dread
head, tattoos, plus gold teeth;” that’s tha look right there!! Blu one of tha
best in Louisiana!!
Been fuckin’ wit him since December 2008!! Nice job wit tha 1st
verse; hope you travel again soon, Blu! I know you got a lot goin’ on fa ya
age! And, it’s your birthday in five dayz; lookin’ forward to wearin’ blue
& black, again! Wearin’ all blue, right now! Here’s this Slugga—oh wait,
from Da Gremlins?—on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit some gutta
street shit, here! I hope all this braggin’ about his status—though, I’ve neva
heard of him, I don’t think?—iz worth connectin’ wit me! And, like he says,
“out tha gate!” My Rating: 4.6
04.
BluBlack Feat. Dogg & Classik “Loud”
No
preview. >>> It iz; that’s
why, I didn’t have a preview. He doesn’t like Instagram comments and deleted
mine about gettin’ high twice, though
he attracted people to comment on him
gettin’ high! I don’t get it, so I just want money from this point on! And,
even more pathetic how I remember: Four dayz ago was a ½ decade since I first
talked to Dog Da Cutthroata… Anyway, tha hook’s pretty nice wit all tha “loud”
shit, and Dogg’s on tha 1st verse… Can I get some HAIM?! Either way,
it’s jammin’, so I can’t front on scorin’ it good, but it was a good
contribute. I just don’t get why he’s allergic to Instagram comments?! We got
Blu on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit a good “smell” of “loud;”
shit yeah! “Fulla dem drugs; ‘bout ta pull up at Dreams;” go, Blu! Keep
clubbin’!! Sooner or later, I’ll get to Louisiana
and finally get ta enjoy y’all’s
partyin’ lifestyles!! Shout out ta Greg Johnson fa likin’ tha pic I posted
about doin’ tha live review ‘cause we got Classik on tha 3rd verse,
comin’ through wit a gutta voice, on dat shit!! He sounds like tha dude that
robbed a ½ stack off of me, but we’ll just focus on Classik, since it’s 2014,
right now! Nice “smokin’, blowin’ doe-doe” at tha end! Jammin’ beat, too!! My Rating: 4.5
05.
BluBlack & S.O.S. “Dime Bread Diva”
Keepin’ it goin’… >>> Definitely diggin’ tha beat start, right chea! I like that it’s 22 seconds!! Classic-soundin’ Blu catchiness on tha hook, right chea!! Sounds like he’s havin’ sooooooo much fun wit this “dime bread diva,” or should I say, divas!! Real catchy!!! Tha 1st verse from Blu sounds hella catchy, too!! “I-N-D-E-P-E-N-D-E-N-T,” you know! Of course, this sound takes me back to tha Code Blu dayz; I’m real glad I’m reviewin’ it live, right now!! Here’s S.O.S. on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit tha Blu/Black Noise flow, and I’m feelin’ it! Great shit; just luvin’ how he comin’ through wit tha flow, also!! My Rating: 4.9

06.
BluBlack, A.R., Classik & Secret “Choosin’”
Hmm…
>>> I assume that’s a BluBlack beat tag, also (“Blu Bleezy, huh?”)?
This sounds catchy as fuck, once again!! Of course, jealousy attracts “choosin’”-ass
people!! Sounds like a leftover track from A+B+C
= Da Formula, only better than that whole CD? Blu on tha 1st
verse, comin’ through wit catchy shit, once again; he luv gettin’ fucked to tha bone!! I luv when he raps about “weed” and them pillz and shit; glad he always gon have dat in his blood!! “Ice
cold, subzero,” just like tha temperature outside that sucks!! Here comes tha long, lost A.R. on tha 2nd verse;
been a long while since I heard him last. Sounds like a great verse, also; glad
he doin’ his thang! He only, like, 24 now; still supa young—well, we’re all in
our 20’s, except a few of us… Yea, some of us are in our early 30’s, you know
what I mean? Hearin’ tha 3rd hook and it sounds more soulful fa tha
south, in a great way! Classik on tha
3rd verse, comin’ through wit catchy rhymes; he supplies that 3rd
in A+B+C! Fuck dat “myth,” if it’s negative about “big niggaz in tha club;”
anybody can get it!! Aight, well, Blu had tha best verse/that hook, though tha
super-obsessive excitement kinda got watered down wit tha other two verses, fa
me. Either way, real nice track!! My Rating: 4.7
07.
Secret, BluBlack, Sims On Tha Track, Hannibal & Reese Da Don “Smoke Break
(Interlude)”
A
long interlude, this time! Let’s see what y’all got goin’ on, here…
>>> Ray Charles in tha beginning? Like, a gangsta version of him? A
beat, here… It sounds pretty nice and relaxin’… I wish, Blu: “24 hours a day!”
Wow, this feels great!! I don’t
usually rate interludes, but because this has, at least, a hook, I almost wanna
rate it!! Well, call of tha devil, Blu rappin’
at 2:13 or somethin’! Feelin’ all tha “purple haze” and drugs, when it comes ta
weed! I wish I lived wit you, Blu!! I always wish I lived wit Yola!! Sims
comin’ through wit rappin’, too! As always, gotta luv his southern, gutta
voice! Nice how tha beat reverses! Hannibal
on tha 3rd verse, here; gotta put him after Sims, on tha ID! Feelin’
his “blowin’” obsession, whether it’s weed, or, yes, tha “bitches!” Okay,
Reese, a verse? Did I miss him again? My
Rating: 4.8
08.
BluBlack “Lay It Down”
>>> Sounds like a different kinda style beat I’m anticipatin’!! Just luv tha production and sounds at all times!! That classic G-Lane sound!! Hook’s pretty catchy as fuck; “lay it down!!” I’m layin’ “down” tha live review, as we speak!! Blu on tha 1st verse, always “real!” “Palm fulla ass;” did I hear right? I know you make this shit sound catchy as fuck! I’m definitely feelin’ how Blu comin’ through on this like it’s some classic Gotta Get It One Way-type shit! So, your result ta tha haterz, or whateva, iz “dat dick look,” huh? I guess so…; get ‘em, Blu! “I am tha V.I.P.;” you already know, Blu!! King of Gardere Lane!! “If you scared, go to church” iz like tha Ice Cube song from 2006; I would hope this ain’t 2008 or somethin’… I’m just bein’ sarcastic, but you neva know what’s left behind! My Rating: 4.7

09.
BluBlack, Hannibal & Sims On Tha Track Feat. Bella “Foot In The Game”
Lookin’
forward ta this giant? >>> Nice
beat and BluBlack intro! Tha Bella chick on tha hook sounds like someone y’all
randomly picked up; pretty nice fa tha undaground! And, Blu & Hannibal
doin’ a nice job on tha 2nd ½ of tha hook, too! Blu’s on tha 1st
verse wit dat “medicine;” yeah! Though you think your “jail record” “fucked”
you up, Blu, at least you have a job!
I’ve had a Master’s Degree for 20 months, and I still don’t have a job! Bitches be manipulatin’ my ass; WTF?! Hannibal on tha 2nd
verse, here, comin’ through wit dat fresh style! “Laughin’ at these pussy
niggaz;” I feel ya! People becomin’ so
“pussy” these dayz, between bein’ cheap and not makin’ me a priority! I’m glad
y’all still believe in me! “Twistin’ blunts” on tha hook, Hannibal; gotta luv it!! And, WTF @ tha 3rd
verse; Bella soundin’ too fucked up on dat auto-tune; yuck as fuck!! I say it’s
dudes masturbatin’ in each other’s ears/suckin’ each other’s dicks, but if it’s
a chick, it just sounds toooooooo gay; bring out tha lesbian vibe wit dat
a-tune shit, smh! Sims on tha 4th verse (or, 2nd ½ of tha
3rd verse), and it’s soundin’ good on this track! At least it’s a
normal voice, despite his tag! Fuck,
not again wit tha outro shit; that’s twice, now!! My Rating: 3.2
10.
BluBlack & Hannibal Feat. Baby B “Hoez & Niggaz”
This,
too, I’m lookin’ forward to! I’m likin’ how B has red/pink-like hair, now! I
guess my wish came true from, like, three years ago, when I talked about her
bein’ “candy” or somethin’, lol? >>> “BluBlack!! Louisiana!!” Beat’s pretty serious, like, on
some gutta, Nu$$ie-like beats, here!! Diggin’ how Blu comes through on tha 1st
½ of tha hook wit tha “suckin’” people, as well as B comin’ through on tha 2nd
½ of tha hook; nice collab!! Blu on tha 1st verse, feelin’
“hypnotized!” “Only give her ass a 6,” huh? Kinda sounds like how I felt about
tha auto-tuned track, previously! And yea, from a 10, a 6 iz, like, a 3 when
these ratings are based off of 5 stars! I luv how Blu always says, “Hoez,
hoez,” while B always says, “Niggaz, niggaz;” great collaboration!! And, she’s
on tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through wit some crazy shit from tha
hood!! Out The Mud-certified, right chea!! “Shitty-ass;” that’s right! Tha end
of tha 2nd verse, where she says, “You wrong,” almost reminded me of
The Notorious B.I.G. and his “Dead Wrong”. I dunno, just tha “wrong,” I guess…
Uh oh, “bouncin’ through tha club” wit Hannibal
on tha 3rd verse, here, not
“playin’ not games!” He finna “scoop up ya dame,” though she, “White as
cocaine;” nice!! Even “Ralph Lauren!” My
Rating: 4.6
½time: So far, an excellent CD from Black Noise Records,
formerly Entertainment, formerly Music! I’m definitely
feelin’ tha classic vibes of tha 2008 BluBlack wit tha Code Blu and Gotta Get It One
Way-type shit!! Blu had been a lil’ off tha radar wit me when I was goin’
through my troubles of gettin’ robbed a ½ a stack, but I’m glad he’s officially back!! Like, it’s official!! And, tha way y’all comin’ up
wit these tracks are excellent!!! So
far, tha average CD rating’s a 4.5!!! Wish y’all didn’t ruin it wit tha
auto-tune, but, like I do wit tha live reviewz, I gotta call y’all and see
what’s up!! First, Hannibal!
*Calls* Thanx fa pickin’ up, Hannibal,
and I’m glad you really appreciate this live review, so far!! You only heard what’s been goin’ on, not seein’, so when you see it, best believe it, ya heard me?!
And, S.O.S. didn’t pick up tha phone, just now, so I finna move on wit tha
review…
11.
Hannibal & BluBlack Feat. Disco “Blood Money”
Looks
pretty serious… Disco been M.I.A. for a long while, now (at least a ½ decade).
He was on MySpace, though I neva even seen him on Facebook. Now, it’s Instagram
time; wonder when he gon get back on track? I neva still talked to him, before…
But, I’m definitely lookin’ forward
to this collab!! >>> “Bullshit”? Takin’ a sample wit tha “blood money”
and “drug money;” now, it sounds anticipatin’!!
Not tha lack of anticipation fa when I hear “money” jointz ‘cause of me gettin’
robbed! Pretty long hook, here; 46 seconds in, still! BluBlack on tha 1st
verse, gettin’ “it, thug!” Luv when
y’all say, “thug!” Comin’ through wit tha “tool,” though it jammed! Nice “Hannibal” set of rhymes, too! “Ta ya knees,
I’m shittin’;” I feel ya! Gotta luv when people shit! Got Hannibal
on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit a more-energetic voice, right
chea! Nice shit; I definitely feel ya! Sounds like an interlude in tha middle,
before tha 3rd hook? Lookin’ forward ta hearin’ Disco!! A victim of
tha gun, but he comin’ through wit dat classic-soundin’ G-Lane shit!! Great
job, y’all; nice collaboration!! My Rating: 4.5
12.
BluBlack “Too Real”
At
least Blu iz, though, because of other bullshit artists, I’m not a fan of this
title, technically. >>> Sounds anticipatin’ wit tha “go, go!” chants!
Beat’s pretty nice; I can feel it!! A serious-soundin’ joint, here, fa tha
streetz!! “You like new gifts,” when it comes ta Blu openin’ y’all on tha 1st verse, right chea; serious!!
Consistent rhymes fa tha streetz; gotta luv it!! So jammin’ on tha hook when
you say, “Shit get too real,” and then rhyme it, repetitively!! I remember when
you “was stupid wit dem jiggaz;” honestly, I feel like you should still be a fool wit ‘em! Neva
lose your attributes! Either way, nice
job on this 2nd verse, too! My
Rating: 4.6
13.
Hannibal, BluBlack & Reese “Boom!”
Yup! >>> Interestin’ production; reminds me of Quikkdraw, J Buc & Nu$$ie’s “I Bleed Dis”, produced by J Buc, from years ago! Sounds pretty serious, here, “in tha club” wit Hannibal on tha hook!! It has that anticipation like a C-Murder old beat, mixed in wit tha G-Lane paranoia!! Got Hannibal on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit his G-Lane shit, “puffin’ on da best;” you already know it’s paranoia at its finest, right now!! “Niggaz wit attitudes, like Cube in tha ‘80s;” that’s right, Hannibal! N.W.A.! Just luv tha energy on tha hook!! Y’all need ta fly up here and go to tha Kings Park Psychiatric Center; that’s where I got high for tha 1st time, and it’s a great place for footage, videos, explorin’, and more!! Blu on tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through wit some serious shit! What made me think of Kings Park was ‘cause of tha vibe of this track! Blu’s “dick iz like a tree;” ladies, you already know what ta do wit it!! A long-lost Reese on tha 3rd verse, here, comin’ through as a Mystikal relative!! Cousin, if I’m not mistaken? It’s been a while… “From tha N.O. to tha B.R.,” just like DJ 5150 & Dre, right? My Rating: 4.7

BluBlack “Up There”
Glad
this still made tha cut! It was first featured on my Tha Louisiana Archives Vol. 14: Important Artists Only! mixtape I
dropped last year, on my birthday. Usually, I just post tha current rating, but
since this iz an important review, I’m just gonna re-review it for tha hell of
it… Just luv tha hypnotic sounds of
tha beat; too crazy!! Would’ve done
better with me last year, if I wasn’t in my DJ B-Real funk/what I like to call,
“Heroin addiction!” Tha hook’s catchy wit Blu comin’ through wit a singin’-like
voice; definitely diggin’ it!! And,
comin’ through on tha 1st verse as a mission: You “gotta get it up
there!” Tha 2nd verse iz consistent, too; gotta luv how Blu comes
through like it’s your “lunch;” you must
have this in your DNA—systems, whateva!! My
Current Rating: 4.8
Intermission: It’s 11:47 AM, right now,
and because I gotta eat, charge my camera, rip tha footage, and I’m runnin’
outta space, I need to take a quick break. See ya in a few minutes, hour,
whateva… Aight, it’s 2:28 PM, now, after I took a brief nap, ripped tha footage
I already took, ate, and am now back to doin’ tha review! Let’s see what’s
next!
15.
BluBlack & Kidd “Teardrops”
I dunno why, but I’m lookin’ forward… Even got Baton Rouge stamped on tha length, here (2:25)! I wonder if that was planned, lol? >>> Beat’s pretty serious, on a Baton Rouge tip; luvin’ tha hook, once again, Blu! Catchy hook wit this “teardrop” you don’t want to come out! Here’s Blu on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit some G-shit fa tha G-Lane! “What goes around, comes around;” I hope that’s tha case fa those that took advantage of me, smh! Diggin’ tha catchy, classic vibe, once again!! Here’s Kidd comin’ through on tha 2nd verse; consistent G-Lane shit, right chea! Crazy wit tha “body bag” action! My Rating: 4.5

16.
BluBlack & Needy Nee “Really Doe”
Needy neva thanked me for her 2009 awards; been a long minute? >>> Anotha tag from you; of course, you definitely ownin’ tha production on this CD!! “Really doe;” definitely feelin’ tha classic catchiness!! Just so you know: I remember #16 on tha Code Blu CD bein’ tha “On Dem Pillz”! So, you know you got tha females always on lock wit tha #16 features, Blu!! Here’s Needy on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit some great shit fa G-Lane, no matta what year it iz!! Definitely feelin’ her consistency on tha track, comin’ through wit that nice club vibe!! Dem “hoes” tryna “suck [Blu] out [his] Dickies;” dumb shit!! Blu goin’ nuts on tha 2nd verse wit err-thang goin’ on wit this wild party!! I definitely feel it and still anticipate goin’ ta one of these, in tha future! Nice ending wit that trumpet, or whateva, ta end tha beat off, too! My Rating: 4.6

17.
Hannibal, BluBlack & Sims On Tha Track “60 Seconds”
More
like 303! >>> Nice beat start; almost has a sound in it from Gorilla
Zoe’s “Hood Nigga” track, from ’06/’07? It’s anotha catchy Blu hook, once again; keep tha repetitiveness comin’
along!! Just “one minute” iz all Blu needs!! And, we got Hannibal on tha 1st verse, comin’
through as tha attraction—center of attention! Hannibal really
inta this track, right chea; he just luvs
life!! More than “60 seconds!!” Tha
king himself, Blu, on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through, “higher than an
Indian;” “hee-mon-e-ah-gah,” just like my text message alert!! Good shit on tha
2nd verse, Blu, strictly deliverin’ it in, a lil’ ova 50 “seconds,” since 12 bars on a 80
beats-per-minute track’s 48 “seconds;” this iz 70, so it’s a lil’ longer! Sims
on tha 3rd verse, gettin’ it in wit y’all; I feel great that he fits
in wit y’all! At least he a normal
and not an anti-social producer!!
Also, not a private producer, smh!! My Rating: 4.4
18.
Hannibal “Soulja Forreal”
A
solo joint, here… >>> I like how he has tha Blu-like flow on tha hook,
though I’m neva always fantasized by tha “money” rhymes/obsession—and, here we
go wit tha 1st verse, startin’ off wit “gettin’ money;” *yawn* It’s
catchy, and I can dig it, at least, but I don’t fuck wit this kinda shit if
it’s someone else, you know what I’m sayin’? Hannibal’s “face iz like a coupon” ta start
tha 2nd verse off; that’s betta, fa me, at least! I wish my brother
would listen to you, and not smash fuckin’ pipes and shit by snitchin’! No one can ruin my reputation, now, as a
near-26-year-old!! My Rating: 4.2
19.
BluBlack & Hannibal “Top Dolla”
Let’s see, here… >>> Catchy beginnin’ beat, here, wit Blu on tha intro! Tha hook sounds pretty catchy, too; can’t deny these jointz!! If somebody hatin’, fuck them in their giant—or wait, small asshole!! Catchy rhymes in tha 1st verse, Blu; glad you still on ya grind, despite tha “felon” shit! I’m glad it didn’t ruin you, and I’m glad you’re still around!! Hannibal on tha 2nd verse, just luvin’ these dog hoes! And, a nice lil’ outro in tha background from Hannibal, on tha last four seconds! My Rating: 4.4

Nina Boy a.k.a. Yung 9 Feat. Hannibal
“Night-Time In My GTO”
Originally,
y’all didn’t have “GTO” capitalized, but I fixed it. Though I’m not up-to-par
about knowin’ everything about cars, I knew about this. I’m lookin’ forward,
includin’ hearin’ this Nina Boy dude! >>> Sounds like a Ja Rule-like,
R&B/Hip-Hop intro beat… Iz he a G-Lane representa? Tha hook ain’t bad, but
again, on tha “money” tip… Here’s tha 1st verse from him, on that
“money” shit, again… However, he’s got a real catchy voice and sounds like he’s
from tha streetz, so I’ll give him a plus, here! If he “ain’t goin’ broke,” I
hope he got some money ta spend on me fa promotion; I don’t charge a lot, at
all! I wanna give err-body tha chance!!
That flow reminds me of Lil’ Reese & Waka Flocka Flame wit their “Money
Stackin’” joint, which, guilty pleasure wise, I don’t mind listenin’ ta that. I
guess it’s ‘cause it’s a withdrawal from tha fake undaground people I was
dealin’ with. Hannibal
on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit catchiness; gotta feel how he
grindin’! This ain’t too bad, overall; credit from ya boy, FrankieThaLuckyDog!
About 40 seconds on tha beat outro, here… My
Rating: 4.2
21.
BluBlack & Billion Dollar Blu “Days Like This”
How
we gon end this wit these two brothers, lol? >>> Sounds like Blu’s
quoting/remaking an old song wit tha, “Mama said, ‘There’d be days like
this.’;” it’s good wit tha vibe, though! It sounds like some nice, soulful,
Baton Rouge-like shit, and wit Blu on tha 1st verse, it sounds like
some nice, street shit! LOL, “Tha one who put me on weed;” I feel ya! That may
be you, and wit weed, all it took was some masturbatin’ ta get me ta *inhales*,
lol! Yup, March 5, 2009 @ 9:59 PM; can’t forget tha date/time ‘cause I
remember, when it was 10 (9 PM, Louisiana
time), tha minutes on tha phone would be free, and it was only one minute
away—“60 seconds,” like Blu says! We got Blu3 rappin’ on tha 2nd
verse, Blu’s younger brother, and it sounds good. He’s got a young-type of
BluBlack, here! I think his age, at this point, was tha same age when I first
heard BluBlack on Code Blu;
interestin’… My Rating: 4.3
Overall: Well, in two exact hours,
at 5:01 PM, it’ll be tha six-year anniversary of me gettin’ tha ID of a track to
know who Meek Mill was, back on March 13, 2008 @ 5:01 PM; classic times!!
And, six years later, I reviewed this The Big Picture CD live on camera!! I think it fits tha history pretty well! So, we got tha Meek Mill discovery in ’08, findin’ a $40-winning scratch-off in tha garbage in ’09, and now, this fa ’14! Keep tha great moments comin’, y’all; all y’all did a great job on this CD!! I thought I’d hear Obeeze—how’s he doin’? Either way, great job gettin’ who y’all got on this CD! Y’all definitely did a great job, and BluBlack proved ta make a comeback, as this had that great, 2008-like vibe/fun times to it, and I’m definitely diggin’ it ‘cause you shouldn’t let that sound go to waste!! Keep ‘em comin’, Blu! Happy early birthday ta you, and happy early birthday ta Toke, who’s birthday’s on Sunday, tha 16th!

Review #1,291: Bugsy Calhoone "Sponsored By The Block"
Reviewed on 6.08.2013 (Review #1,291)
I’m
in tha mist of editing a video countdown documentary of my most-shocking
moments of 2012. However, I’m goin’ through a mid-life distraction while tryin’
to promote my 14th mixtape compilation, Tha Louisiana
Archives Vol. 14, due out June 21. Not many serious artists out there, as I
only have, like, four confirmed; I want around 30! Anyway, I got this Black
Balloon Records release to review from Bugsy
Calhoone. Y’all know Bugsy from Paypa Talk Records’ Yung Sicka, to Out The
Mud Entertainment’s Big Head—when he was a Trill Ent. Big Head, no less! This
his new release, called Sponsored By The Block; let’s see
how it does on this review of mine! Also, thanx for inboxin’ me on Facebook
outta nowhere about it, Bugsy! Start
Time: 11:09 PM | End Time: 12:16
AM

“Sponsored By The Block”
Unfortunately,
tha mp3 doesn’t work, and it’s nowhere to be found, so I gon have to skip it… My Rating: N/A
02.
“Keep It Coming”
!
>>> You still got a good voice ta deliver this shit; likin’ tha street
vibe, between your voice, lyrics & tha vibe! Ooh, nice way tha beat sounds
durin’ tha hook; gotta feel all tha G-like lyrics in tha hook, too!! Nice start
wit tha “money & weed … tip of tha seed” shit in tha 2nd verse!!
Definitely feelin’ your drug-related
shit you spittin’!! Tha 3rd verse iz soundin’ good here, too; nice
and consistent wit what you spittin’!! My
Rating: 4.6
03.
“Be Right Chea” Feat. Vicious, Young Boyo & Kevin Gates
Thought
it was Ready on tha feature; lookin’ forward ta hearin’ this! >>> Not
bad for tha start wit Vicious… Beat sounds okay, and tha hook’s good for tha
streetz… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds nice; nothin’ much else
ta say about it… Comin’ through wit tha 2nd verse (Kevin Gates); it
sounds nice and consistent… Tha 3rd verse iz here, and it sounds
nice ta hear! You got “Brice
Street” on lock wit your “street” shit, fulla
quality!! My Rating: 4.3
04.
“Paranoid”
Kinda how I’ve been feelin’ wit these fuck-dudes who can’t afford a lil’ bit of bread to send me! >>> Ehh, Kevin Gates sample on tha hook? Why…? That’s what it sounds like, but whateva; it ain’t that bad… Here’s tha 1st verse, and even tha flow sounds like Gates; a lil’ too much like him… Question iz: Why? Nice lyrics, but lacks originality wit tha flow, since it sounds like Gates. Now, hearin’ tha 2nd verse, and it’s not a sample; I see… Tha 2nd verse sounds better wit tha flow, a lil’ bit; still an okay song for me… Ended outta nowhere; didn’t expect it to be short. My Rating: 3.8
EDIT: Little did I know, you came before/right around tha same time as Kevin Gates, so he took inspiration from you. So, mind all tha “Gates-sound-alike” shit I said in this review 'cause you're tha influence. Quoting tha text you sent me: “…im one of gates favorite rappers he's the sound alike ask the streets y do u think the singing came in all of a sudden…”

05.
“Remember” Feat. Kevin Gates & Dooney
I
wonder who this Dooney dude iz (spelled like that)? I know there’s a Lil’
Doonie (spelled like dat) outta Gardere… >>> Oh, neva mind, sounds
like it’s a girl; they’re not tha same then, lol. Ehh, anotha okay hook, but I
prefer tha Gates-soundin’ one, now… Still, I’m likin’ tha Savage-soundin’ vibe
on tha production… 1:03 in, and it’s just tha hook still? Ain’t this, like, ½
of tha previous song? Well, comin’ through wit tha 1st verse, and it
sounds like you grew up wit Kevin Gates… From 2:14 – 2:15, why iz it soundin’
glitchy? Now that tha hook’s soundin’ a lil’ annoying, at times, I’m startin’
ta like it betta…, but not on a serious, lyrical level! Continuin’ on wit tha 2nd
verse… It sounds okay, once again… We got Gates on tha 3rd verse,
and of course, it sounds good wit tha consistent rhymes. Too bad, he’s gettin’
deleted more from my iPod, since he crossed over and doesn’t get in contact wit
me, still, smh (why?!)! My Rating: 4.1
06.
“Change” Feat. Baby B & Lil’ Marlon
Looks
like a nice lineup; let’s hear it!! >>> Well, weak start, here, wit
“I’m gettin’ money” as tha startin’ lyrics… Since it said it twice, I guess
this iz tha hook? A lil’ mainstream for me… Hearin’ tha 1st verse,
and it sounds too “money” for me… I hope wit all this “gettin’ money” obsessive
lyrics all throughout tha 1st
verse, that I can make at least a few hundred off you wit promotin’ this CD (by
puttin’ tha songs on YouTube, makin’ a commercial, etc.)! Right…?!? But
switchin’ it, we got Baby Brandi on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through
wit some nice Out The Mud Entertainment-like vibes, here! No wack “money”
rhymes, here; just somethin’ nice ta flow wit tha track! We got tha 3rd
verse here, and though I sometimes get your voice confused, I can tell this you on tha 3rd
verse ‘cause tha Marlon dude, I neva heard of, so wit today’s rappers, they always talk about “money,” so that’s
automatically him on tha 1st verse, right? My Rating: 3.3
07.
“Finish Him” Feat. Lil’ Marlon
Let’s
hear this next collaboration… >>> Oh, not even an original beat; all
tha way back 10 years ago wit this “Many Men” beat… Tha hook ain’t too bad,
here… Tha 1st verse ain’t too bad, either; sounds like it has that
2006-like Baton Rouge vibe wit tha delivery, which I’m feelin’… Ehh, of course,
wit tha feature, here comes tha “gettin’ money” bullshit ta ruin tha verse…
Damn, like 3x “money” was said while I typed dat sentence! Why? Hearin’ tha 2nd
verse, and it’s okay, too… Still, original beats only after this! My Rating: 3.5
08.
“The Game Changing” Feat. Dooney
>>>
Tha hook sounds good wit tha Dooney girl… Here you are on tha 1st
verse, comin’ through wit consistent rhymes! Tha rhymes on tha 2nd
verse sound betta, though it sounds like you took lessons from Gates… I can
relate to tha hook: “Tha game changing; they ain’t thuggin’ no more…” Of
course, everyone comes through soft, or has somethin’ soft about them,
now-a-dayz. Tha 3rd verse sounds exactly like tha 2nd
verse ta me; thumbs up on tha consistency! My
Rating: 4.4
09.
“Where The Party At”
>>> Rhymes, delivery and beat’s on-point, fa me. Tha hook sounds catchy, too… Tha 2nd verse ain’t too bad, too; nothin’ special wit this song, but nothin’ wack, so far… Tha 3rd verse ain’t too bad, either; good job… My Rating: 3.6

½time: A 4-star CD, so far; good
job wit keepin’ it street, Mr. Calhoon!
10.
“Murder”
>>> I like tha beat start; sounds extended, but it’s gettin’ me hyped-up to see what you got goin’ on, here… Either it’s a sample or an unconfirmed singer on tha hook; sounds nice for somethin’ short! Here you are on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit consistent rhymes ova this beat, exactly what I wanna hear! Tha 2nd verse sounds nice wit these rhymes, everything you’ve been through and are goin’ through! My Rating: 4.5

11.
“Constant Drama”
Yup!
>>> An online beat? What about tha Out The Mud Ent. in-house
producers? Maybe, I’ll be a producer for you one day, on some tracks…? Sounds a
lil’ like a Young Dro vibe for me, here; ain’t bad for tha 1st
verse… Sucks that you “lost [your] mama” in “’08;” that was tha year I first
heard of you… Tha 2nd verse ain’t too bad, either… A lil’ betta wit
tha 3rd verse; tough life… My
Rating: 3.5
12.
“Who Rolling With Me”
I
am! >>> Now, it sounds like in-house producers are talkin’ in tha
background on tha intro, here… Sounds like a nice start wit tha 1st
verse; it’s all about dat good kush! Consistent rhymes; gotta luv tha
“shooters” part and “evading!!” Definitely likin’ tha hook wit tha
“sticky-sticky” shit! Definitely some interestin’ shit you spittin’, here;
sounds like a gun range in real life durin’ tha 2nd verse, based off
tha lyrics! My Rating: 4.4
13.
“Get It On The Go” Feat. Baby B & Lil’ Marlon
Hmm, now “Morlon”, lol? Looks like an error… But, you’re subtracted, here, so let’s see what’s good wit this… >>> Nice beginning from Brandi on this beat; still can’t believe I’m older than her! Tha hook sounds nice; good shit, B! Now, Marlon on tha 2nd verse… *Crosses fingers for no “money” rhymes!!* Stupid “money” shit, once again. (luckily, only once) Sounds too Wiz Khalifa-like for me wit this voice; it ain’t bad, though, and I like some of tha rhymes. However, it would neva go into my veins! Oh, this you on tha 3rd verse? Guess there was no room on tha back cover to put “feat.,” lol? Nice and consistent wit tha rhymes! I’d like to see how serious this Lil’ Marlon dude iz wit sendin’ me “money” for me to do things for him. I wanna see…! My Rating: 4.2

14.
“Making Funds”
A
money song; uh oh… No features? Really? Ironic… >>> Liking tha beat
start, classic-soundin’ BR vibe style!! Tha intro sounds like that song that I
thought was a Kevin Gates sample, as well as tha hook… Here’s tha 1st
verse, and it sounds consistent; great rhymes fa tha streetz, once again!! Tha
hook sounds jammin’ wit this vibe goin’ on; nice, especially since it’s only
2:44. Tha 2nd verse sounds hot, too, on a “Brice St.” mission! My Rating: 4.4
15.
“Walk With Me”
>>>
Sounds like it’s gonna be an okay song fa tha struggle… Tha hook ain’t bad.
Sounds like real-life lyrics in tha 1st verse; not bad… Tha 2nd
verse sounds good wit tha lyrics, too; a lil’ boring for a song, though. Tha 3rd
verse sounds a lil’ too much like it’s ramblin’ on; prolly could’ve only had
two verses… My Rating: 3.0
16.
“Respect”
>>>
An online beat… Damn, 5:17 on tha length? Hope it don’t get boring wit an
online beat! Tha hook starts it off, and it sounds good wit tha way tha hook
sounds… Feelin’ your lyrics, but a boring beat doesn’t make this that
entertainin’ ta listen to… Tha 2nd verse sounds good wit tha rhymes…
Tha 3rd verse ain’t too bad, either; thumbs up fa explainin’
everythang you explainin’, here. My
Rating: 3.4
17.
“Buck If You Want”
>>>
Not a crunk-like song I expected wit this title, but I like what you spittin’…
Tha 1st verse sounds good wit tha rhymes, and tha hook’s soundin’
okay. Still, this needs some energy wit tha “buck” in tha title! Tha 2nd
verse iz okay, too. Again, I wish you had more energy in your voice. Like, this
deserves some yelling and chanting!! Tha beat ain’t really all that hype,
either… My Rating: 3.5
18.
“Slumms”
Endin’
it wit an interestin’ title, double-“M” style! >>> Feelin’ tha beat
you chose, here, and you got tha hook on lock, too, “slumms” style! Tha 1st
verse sounds good wit tha rhymes; tha rhymes sounded betta durin’ tha beginning
of this CD, but this iz still listenable… Tha 2nd verse sounds like
a good verse, too; nice “waiter” part. Tha 3rd verse sounds good,
too… My Rating: 3.8
Overall: I thought you did a great
job wit this CD; nice and undaground, tha way I like it! Even some of tha
“money” shit was acceptable; good job, includin’ tha features! Hope I get to
hear tha title track so tha average CD rating can be official! Until then, keep
up tha great work, and it’s good to hear from you!

Review #1,006: D Boy Repasenta & Piz Corleone "Most Known Unknowns"
Reviewed on 6.27.2011 (Review #1,006)

A day behind wit tha current reviewz but fuck it; I’ll take as long as I want! My 1st review for today iz D Boy Repasenta & Piz Corleone “Most Known Unknowns”; neva heard D Boy before, but I know of him from online! Start Time: 10:40 AM | End Time: 11:03 AM
Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “N My Zone”
Lookin’ forward ta hearin’! >>> Sounds good—almost like a Vybe beat, lol; good combo, it sounds like! Tha hook’s pretty addictive and tha 1st verse sounds pretty good, here. I know there’s a new CD from one of y’all that I gon review; lookin’ forward ta dat! Y’all almost sound tha same wit tha voice? Good, identical-type shit, lol. Tha 2nd verse iz pretty nice wit dat rapid rappin’!! My Rating: 4.7
02. “I Want It All”
Let’s hear dis! >>> Sounds like a good song, here; ooh, tha hook has a “Paper Junkie” feel wit tha regular/screwed voice!!
Really likin’ how D Boy’s comin’ through on tha 1st verse; I really like dat shit before tha 1st verse ends wit dat “Corleone said, ‘take my time.’” part! Tha 2nd verse sounds like a catchy delivery although I almost felt like it was off-beat, fa a second, lol. My Rating: 4.7
03. “Big Booty”
LOL. >>> Sounds tight; can’t deny tha hook wit this addictive-soundin’ beat wit tha repetitiveness! Tha 1st ½ of tha 1st verse I can’t really tolerate, although it ain’t tha worst… Not really inta tha 2nd verse, either; guess tha voice effect has ta go? Not a good way ta follow tha previous songs! My Rating: 3.6
04. “Burnin’ Dosha (Remix)”
Thought it looked like I seen this title so many times but between album titles and song titles, I guess this iz a new remix, lol. >>> Okay; short length, lol? Tha beat could’ve been betta but it gives tha undaground feel, at least. Tha 2nd verse sounds more my style wit these “dosha” rhymes! I rememba tha “towel behind tha door” shit; lol, tha ’06 – ’08 dayz at my 1st college! Feel like I miss those moments… some of ‘em! My Rating: 4.4
05. “Lime Light”
Prolly tha 1st time I heard D Boy; good contribution, here! My Current Rating: 4.4
06. “Let’s Talk About”
… Sex? LOL? >>> Sounds funny wit tha Lil’ Wayne sample although tha “let’s talk about” sample sounds a lil’ cheesy; odd blend dat sounds like it’s takin’ a while to start… Not givin’ an “F-U-C-K;” you know what it iz! Not bad wit tha rhymes; my interest iz here… Tha 2nd verse iz soundin’ aight; kinda short since tha 1st minute was mostly a hook, lol. My Rating: 3.8
½time: A 4.3-rated CD, currently; you know what it iz!!! Nothin’ but dat consistent, 225-type shit dat I gotta luv!!
07. “F.W.M.”
Like this title… >>> Sounds good for a start; anotha long intro/hook, lol. Damn, too much gayness goin’ on wit tha vocals!
My Rating: 3.0
08. “Ridin’ Low”
>>> ROFL @ tha Ross sample for tha hook! Rhymes are aight, here; not sure what ta say… Good thing tha 2nd verse doesn’t have a Wayne/Drake flow ‘cause tha rhymes and punchlines are pretty catchy! I also like tha live-action scene of gettin’ weed, lol! My Rating: 4.2
09. “Dealing With The Devil”
“Dealings” or “Dealing”? I gon trust tha back cover by Hawk… >>> Bad start wit this ‘60s-ish sample; sounds too sour… I don’t really have much to say about this; barely caught my interest. My Rating: 2.4
10. “Dreams Of A R&B Diva”
>>> Too bad this shit’s goin’ downhill; at least they’re only two or three-minute songs and not no four or five-minute songs! Tha hook sounds like somethin’ I’ve heard from someone else so this ain’t original or nothin’ for me.
My Rating: 1.7
11. “Real Good” Feat. Rich Kidd Junior
Ooh, tha Lil’ Junior dude on tha feature? >>> Piz on tha beat? I have a feelin’ this sample’s gonna be Three 6 and their fam, lol? Yup, I was right; thought it was gonna be pretty fast but this iz like some good-soundin’, Memphis-type shit! Likin’ tha 1st verse; I like tha explicit rhymes outta nowhere, lol. Also, lots of parts from tha “Slob On My Knob” song outta nowhere, too, lol! Tha 2nd verse sounds good; pretty serious and lol @ all these random “Slob On My Knob” parts! Tha 3rd verse sounds like Jr. and even though it was a short part, he did a nice job fa bein’ featured… My Rating: 4.3
12. “Loud Pack (Remix)” Feat. Mel 985, Slick Willie, Supa, Big World, J.Hu$tle & Baby B
Whoo, what a lineup!!! No Greg, lol? There was no room for all tha features on tha back cover, lol! >>> Sounds like a good song, or should I say, remix; nice job wit tha 1st verse, weed-obsessive style, lol! Oh, a 2nd part to tha 1st verse? Sounds good/nice and relaxin’! Tha start to tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ good; nothin’ but some good, Piz-soundin’ content, lol! Wait, did I miss D Boy? I know tha two of you sound nearly tha same, lol? My bad but everything’s good… Here’s tha 3rd verse… Supa!! Consistent rhymin’, here! Glad ta have him on this! You know dat one of my favorite “big” artists iz on tha 2nd ½ of tha 3rd verse… Big World!! Yes, some J.Hu$tle shit; glad he got a followin’ in tha streetz and has buku luv fa these drugs, lol! I believe that was an addition to tha 3rd verse! Oh, Baby B’s on tha 4th verse? ROFL, I wasn’t sure who that was, at first; real glad you hooked up wit her, too! Did this collaboration come about from Hannibal, lol? Looks like a big family, here! She’s pretty serious wit her contribution, doin’ tha damn thang! LOL, she don’t stop!! LOL, anotha part to tha 4th verse; pretty serious wit tha fastness!! Plus, tha kushtastic content!!
LOL, “game over” ending; gotta get dis one on my radio show! It’s all about multiple/as many artists as possible!! My Rating: 4.8
Overall: A couple songs threw tha rating off its balance but I thought there were a bunch of bangerz on here; thumbs up fa this nice collaboration project!!

Review #842: The Mud Fam "From The Mud To The Moon"
Reviewed on 3.02.2011 (Review #842)

Time ta get started for today wit a review: The Mud Fam “From The Mud To The Moon”, as The Mud Fam iz Big Head, Baby Brandi, Stebo & Boss Action, I believe. Start Time: 10:55 AM | End Time: 11:47 AM
01. “Out The Mud Sojas”
LOL @ this spellin’ of “souljas”. >>> Good, catchy-soundin’ music fa tha “sojas” here! LOL @ dat “I thought I told ya;” crazy, tight Big Head, lol! Definitely some hot shit fa tha hood and iz soundin’ really consistent!! Big Head sounds like he jackin’ a lil’ bit of Jay-Z’s flow on tha 1st verse (“Dirt Off Your Shoulder)”; there are other people ta jack—betta yet, no one/be original. Tha 2nd verse from Stebo sounds pretty good… It’s all about keepin’ it hood to tha fullest! LOL @ Baby B on tha 3rd verse, as they “get fucked like butts!”
Her voice iz entertainin’, too! Boss Action’s on tha final verse, soundin’ just-as-good! My Rating: 4.6
02. “Let’s Do It”
Tha same line-up in tha same order; let’s hear what y’all got! >>> Damn, mo hot, catchy shit!!! Tha hook’s addictive, once again, wit dat “let’s do it” shit repeatin’!!! LOL, maybe not tha same order since Boss Action’s 1st… Feelin’ all tha G-shit dat’s really consistent! Comin’ up next on tha 2nd verse iz Stebo, comin’ through wit some consistent shit, too. LOL, Big Head’s 3rd, “superhero” status in here! Nothin’ ta complain, here; Big Head always holds it down!! LOL, let’s hear Brandi (Baby B) on tha 4th verse… Ooh, “bag of purp;” she in smoke heaven, females style, lol! Sounded like Vanilla Ice wit tha “a problem … I’ll solve it” shit, lol. My Rating: 4.5
03. “My Trigga Happy”
Just Big Head on dis? >>> Nice intro but I’m really not inta tha Tupac jackin’/cliché talk. Damn, this iz 5.5 minutes long and it’s just Big Head? Good shit, here; what else can I say? My Rating: 4.1
04. “Freaky Walk”
All but Boss Action on dis; let’s hear what we got… >>> It said dat Lil’ Fred was on tha track, here. Ooh, anotha catchy hook, lol! Y’all really know how ta make really-catchy music!!! Good rhymes, as they’re consistent wit rhymin’ and shit. LOL, Baby B on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit her tightness! Tha final verse iz Stebo, doin’ an aight job fa me… My Rating: 4.3
05. “Click Click, Boom”
Err-body’s on dis and dis iz almost six minutes long!! >>> Likin’ tha catchy beat start and tha hook’s definitely nice!! Good shit from Big Head, here, comin’ through wit tha good shit! LOL, Baby B’s tha 2nd one up, doin’ her thang wit dis shit and her catchiness!! Big Head’s on tha 3rd verse, again? I think Boss Action’s last; what happened to whoever was missin’? My Rating: 4.4
06. “’Bout It, ‘Bout It”
No Baby B this time.
>>> Anotha Lil’ Fred-produced track. Tha hook’s soundin’ catchy; I almst feel like it’s tha ‘90s “’Bout It, ‘Bout It” wit how tha title comes outta nowhere. Tha 1st verse from Stebo’s pretty catchy. Ooh, you’re comin’ through wit tha tightness on tha 2nd verse; great emerge!! Thumbs up ta tha “Girbauds,” too!! Boss Action’s on tha 3rd verse, comin’ through wit consistent rhymes on dis bitch! My Rating: 4.4
07. “Baton Rouge Gansta Chic”
Baby B’s joint wit Big Head, here; let’s get it!! >>> Soundin’ “gansta” than sexual from her, this time, lol! She had both verses and Big Head only had tha outro, but still sounded catchy. My Rating: 4.0
08. “We Ready”
Just Big Head & Stebo on dis one; let’s see how great y’all do here! >>> More cliché shit in tha intro? Consistent rhymes comin’ from Big Head, here; likin’ all tha shit goin’ on! I liked tha double “bruh” part before :59, ya dig? Tha hook’s definitely catchy; y’all know how ta come through wit tha hooks!! Stebo sounds like he comin’ through wit some good shit on tha 2nd verse… LOL, there was a 3rd verse and it’s Big Head, comin’ through wit some hot shit! My Rating: 4.3
½time: Good shit from all y’all! A nice, 4.3-soundin’ CD, here!!
09. “Kill The DJ”
Now, it’s Boss Action & Big Head doin’ tha damn thang… >>> I think I heard tha beat tag right—Jon Doe? Sounds like tha tightness I’d expect from tha more-unknown producers. Tha hook’s pretty strong; good, bad-azz attitude! You know tha anger’s on when Boss Action’s comin’ through wit tha dark side wit tha rhymes! Good shit; let’s see what Big Head gon spit… LOL, nope, Boss Action comin’ through wit anotha verse, lol! I’m likin’ this verse betta than tha 1st verse; sounds betta wit tha content and shit he spittin’!! My Rating: 4.3
10. “Let ‘Em Hang”
Let’s hear Big Head & Baby B! >>> Sounds familiar; was dis in “Thuggin’ It In Lovin’ It 2”? ROFL @ tha random “Beat—Beat—Beat—Beat… —Beat Flippa on tha track” beat tag goin’ through tha hook; definitely interestin’/buildin’ my anticipation!!! Tha beat’s soundin’ pretty nice and tha hook’s official wit how Big Head’s perspective comes outta nowhere! Good job wit tha 1st verse, doin’ ya thang! Damn, dat “Beat—Beat…” shit in tha hook’s real catchy; dat’s what I call a catchy-ass beat tag technique!!! Baby B’s on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit her good shit; gotta keep it hood at all times!! Now, it’s tha 3rd verse and it’s Big Head, comin’ through wit mo hot shit ta offer on dis shit! My Rating: 4.4
11. “Who Gansta Den Me”
What’s dis title sayin’? Stebo & Big Head comin’ through on dis one… >>> Not bad on tha intro; dat sound effect scared me fa a second at :21! Tha production ain’t too bad but I’m really in a trance wit hearin’ dat sound effect every four bars!! I guess tha title should be “Den” instead of “Dem”? It sounds like a question in tha hook so I gon fix it! Also, nice job from Big Head contributin’ to tha hook, too; very catchy!! He’s on tha 2nd verse, too, comin’ through wit tha consistent rhymes again!! LOL, “cut yo tongue off!” LOL, Stebo had ta offer anotha verse, contributin’ mo shit… My Rating: 4.3
12. “Trapped Out”
Let’s hear Big Head & Boss Action collab here! >>> “Mr. Nogood” for a beginning tag? Who dat? Ooh, tha hook’s nice wit dis 225-type production! Shit no, here we go wit tha cliché shit in tha beginning of tha—neva mind, most of tha 1st verse!
LOL, couldn’t get enough of Big Head, as he’s on tha 2nd verse, too. Here’s Boss on tha 3rd verse, comin’ through wit good “trap”-type content! My Rating: 4.1
13. “Seen Nothing”
Ooh, tha whole crew’s back!! >>> Anticipatin’ beat start!! I’m likin’ how dis sounds wit tha beginning shit Big Head spittin’! Tha hook came outta nowhere and sounds catchy; I like how tha title iz said, in a catchy perspective! Ooh, tha “police” shit sounds real catchy, too, wit tha imitated siren sound, too!! Ooh, Ms. Brandi on tha 2nd verse!!
Feelin’ how she bringin’ tha heat fa tha track!! Tha 3rd verse’s soundin’ good; Stebo addin’ catchiness ta how catchy dis shit iz already!! Tha final verse iz Boss Action and yes, err-body did tha damn thang here!!! So far, this iz my top song; can it last? My Rating: 4.7
14. “Through All Times” Feat. Dat Boy A
It’s “through”, not “threw”; can’t “throw” times! This iz tha 1st actual feature wit Dat Boy A on tha feature and there’s no Boss Action, lol. >>> Sounds like it could be somethin’ anticipatin’, here, wit BluBlack (I think) on tha track (different tag?) but nothin’ too exciting, overall… I mean, it sounds good (wit everything combined) but based off all tha other shit on this CD, this ain’t up-up there. Tha singin’ doesn’t sound too much like A, either; sounds like a random person, instead. Tha verses are aight; tha 2nd verse from Stebo was a lil’ catchier than tha 1st verse from Big Head… LOL, how’d Baby B fit inta dis song and not Boss Action? Lemme see what she gon offer… Sounds like she really needs “tha Mud Fam,” lol. Prolly would’ve wanted ta hear Boss Action on somethin’ like dis; songs wit “times” are more meant fa males. LOL, tha ending sounds spooky wit less of tha beat, lol! Because of tha overall collaboration, I feel betta about dis joint, makin’ tha rating a lil’ higher than some of tha shit on this CD, already! My Rating: 4.2
15. “Ain’t Gone Hesitate”
No Boss Action again, lol? I like dis title… >>> Shout out ta “Wookee” in tha beginning. LOL, Guss beat; where’s tha “cousin” shit in tha tag?
Good hook; again, it’s catchy!! ROFL, “it’s boo-ya;” random! Big Head comin’ through wit good shit fa tha 1st verse. Ooh, he on tha 2nd verse, too, gettin’ ready ta put “gloves on,” lol. Good shit; let’s keep it goin’ wit Stebo on tha 3rd verse… Sounds good wit his adjectives; where’s Baby B? Iz this an error? My Rating: 4.3
16. “Hustlin’” Feat. Locco
No, again; it’s “in’”, not “en;” “fallen” iz one of tha only words I know wit “en”. >>> Sounds like a good song; Locco iz like tha Baton Rouge version of Magnolia Chop, in a way. Good shit from Big Head on tha 1st verse, comin’ through fa dis joint. This sounds more 504 than 225 fa me wit tha way shit sounds. LOL, Baby B’s really on tha 2nd verse, doin’ her thang, here! LOL @ her “dawg” parts; she a crazy cat! I think y’all put tha “&” symbol in tha wrong spot on tha back cover, smh. No Boss Action, here, since it’s Stebo on tha 3rd verse. Decent shit he spittin’…; tha Dat Boy A feature sounds much betta than dis, now! My Rating: 4.1
17. “I Don’t Hate Them Back”
What’s wit tha lower-case on Boss Action’s “Boss” name on tha back cover? Anyway, I’m likin’ everyone’s head poppin’ up on tha back cover; that was an interestin’ thought. >>> Big Head & Boss Action, here, comin’ through wit good shit. Tha hook sounds good; typical type of hood shit I’d expect from Out The Mud Entertainment. Tha 1st verse ain’t too bad; nothin’ much catchin’ onto me but it’s still pretty good… Boss Action’s aight on tha 2nd verse…; I don’t have much ta say ‘bout dis… LOL, had ta hear Big Head one more time on tha 3rd verse. My Rating: 4.0
Overall: Damn, every song got a 4.0+ rating from me!! Now that’s what I call a classic CD!! Thumbs up ta err-body who contributed ta dis!!

Time ta get started for today wit a review: The Mud Fam “From The Mud To The Moon”, as The Mud Fam iz Big Head, Baby Brandi, Stebo & Boss Action, I believe. Start Time: 10:55 AM | End Time: 11:47 AM

13. “Seen Nothing”
Ooh, tha whole crew’s back!! >>> Anticipatin’ beat start!! I’m likin’ how dis sounds wit tha beginning shit Big Head spittin’! Tha hook came outta nowhere and sounds catchy; I like how tha title iz said, in a catchy perspective! Ooh, tha “police” shit sounds real catchy, too, wit tha imitated siren sound, too!! Ooh, Ms. Brandi on tha 2nd verse!!
