Review #1,977: Blood In, Blood Out "Woodstock: In House Records Compilation"

Reviewed on 6.03.2021 (Review #1,977)

Here comes my next review (3rd) for today: Blood In, Blood Out Woodstock: In House Records Compilation, released in 2000 on In House Records! This compilation features peeps like Clique, 2-Face, Big Joe, Lil’ Woodstock, 205, Stock Market, K-9, Trouble Maker, Blanker Dog & others. Start Tyme: 10:56 AM | End Tyme: 11:09 AM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

Link To Release: N/A

01. Intro
>>> Sounds a lil’ bit like humor but at tha same tyme, sounds eerie… My Rating: N/A

02. “Woodstock”
>>> Sounds good, as Mr. “Woodstock” comes through with tha rhymes, here; beat ain’t too bad, neither… My Rating: 3.8

03. “When It Pours, It Rains”
>>> Sounds like a sappy beat & hook, here; not really my cup of tea… As far as tha rappin’, it sounds decent; this bein’ 5:40 iz too long, tho. My Rating: 2.6

04. “Go To War”
>>> Beat ain’t bad, here; hearin’ what’s goin’ on with tha rhymes & it sounds like an intense day/night in tha hood, with tha hook… Hearin’ what’s goin’ on with tha verses & tha focus on tha scenes of tha hood’s pretty-much on lock, here. My Rating: 3.7

05. “Woodmere Rebel”
>>> Sounds like some upbeat-soundin’ gangsta shit, here; good lil’ hook & beat…! Hearin’ what’s goin’ on with tha rhymes & they official; gotta keep tha “bang” up! My Rating: 4.2

06. “Weight Of The World”
>>> Hearin’ tha rappin’ & it’s soundin’ consistent, ova this soft-soundin’ beat; 50/50 combo, here… Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds good wit tha male but tha singer vocalizin’ in tha background makes it sound more sappy than tight… My Rating: 3.0

½tyme: Just a decent release, so far; only a 3.5 for tha average rating, currently.

07. “Git-cha Good”
>>> Sounds like a catchy lil’ track that reminds me of a Graveyard Soldjas flow & beat; good hook! Hearin’ tha rhymes & tha rhymes are “good,” basically; feelin’ tha consistency from a gangsta’s perspective…! Tha rest of this shit ain’t bad, as this track continues to define itself… My Rating: 4.1

08. “Ke-Ke-ing”
>>> Sounds catchy with tha flow & a decent/catchy-soundin’ beat to apply to tha track, as well… Hearin’ what’s good with tha rhymes & they ain’t bad, here; just anotha way to stay with tha hustle… Seems like it’s a lil’ too long, tho? A whole 4:54 on tha length… My Rating: 3.3

09. “205”
>>> Sounds like a catchy lil’ hook with this “205”ness; beat’s also on-n-poppin’ fa a N’awlinz vibe… Hearin’ what’s poppin’ with tha verses & they’re on-n-poppin’; nice job with tha energy & depiction of tha gangsta tales! My Rating: 4.2

10. “What’s Happening Woody”
>>> Sounds like a slow jam & iz 5:07 on tha length…; too long & barely an okay vibe fa me, overall. My Rating: 2.1

11. “Nuckel Up”
Should be spelt “Knuckle”? >>> Feelin’ tha hype, no matter tha spellin’; good lil’ hook & beat, here…! Glad tha peeps on this track have tha energy to keep tha whole entire track & verses on lock; don’t stop tha energy! My Rating: 4.4

12. “When It Pours, It Rains (Radio)”
See #3 fa tha review!

13. Outro
>>> Sounds like an outro, here? Let’s see if an actual “Hidden Track” appears… Yeah, this just an outro; decent lil’ slow beat & outroduction, as well. My Rating: N/A

Overall: Not tha greatest compilation but it was worth checkin’ out…; S/O to those that actually did they thang on this…

Rankings:

10. “What’s Happening Woody” 2.1
09. “When It Pours, It Rains” 2.6
