Review #1,125: M.A. "The Rap Derek Lewis (Hosted by Jungle Records Radio)"

Reviewed on 1.19.2012 (Review #1,125)

Startin’ my day off wit a review for Jungle Records’ M.A. The Rap Derek Lewis (Hosted by Jungle Records Radio). This mixtape iz also mixed by Yankee Brim $lim a.k.a. DJ 2 Pistols. Start Time: 8:36 AM | End Time: 9:05 AM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes 100,000x (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. “The Rap Derek Lewis”
>>> LOL @ tha short ‘host’ intro… Sounds a touch catchy wit how you’re comin’ wit this song… Once again, you sound like Jay Regal, in a family way, wit tha voice… Oh, only one verse, here? Good job wit tha outro/radio talk, at tha end; you say this a “promo disc”? Sounds more like a mixtape, for me; “free Bear”? SMH @ jail!! My Rating: 3.8

02. “I Just Wanna Rip”
>>> At least this mixtape has mixin’ in it… Rhymes sound pretty good; longer outro than song, lol? Kinda funny, but it’s always good ta hear some details. My Rating: 3.6

03. “A.C.T.”
Ironically, I’m studyin’ “ACT” framework for class, currently; let’s see what you got, here. >>> Of course, it ain’t tha framework, and more on what anyone can talk about. Oh, even though it’s an acronym, it’s more of a word, wit an acronym spellin’: “Watch me act a ass wit it;” I see… Sounds good, wit how everything sounds together; a “Q Black” production, accordin’ to you. Prolly could’ve added some more energy wit a song like dis… My Rating: 3.9

04. “Good Nite” (J.A.P.A.N.)
You already know. My Current Rating: 4.2

05. “Pose 4 Tha Mirror”
>>> Time fa an anthem for those “ladies” dat gon “pose 4 tha mirror”? Let’s see… Thought it was gonna be a lil’ soft, but it’s a good/okay song, overall; not bad wit tha hook… Rhymes also go wit tha hook; nothin’ bad ‘bout dis… My Rating: 3.8

06. Friday (Skit)
>>> LOL, didn’t expect a skit on this mixtape, for some reason (I guess since tha previous ones I reviewed didn’t have any); nice job wit this “garbage” (and I don’t mean negatively)! My Rating: N/A

07. “Up N Here”
>>> Sounds like an anticipatin’, Beat Flippa meets Nu$$ie-type beat, here; lookin’ forward! Kinda took a while wit tha beginning, but this sounds good. Still, might need more energy in tha voice!! Good job wit this club shit; I have ta feel it better than usual songs! My Rating: 4.2

08. “Ham N Dis Bytch” Feat. Dino & Bear
>>> Almost five minutes long, but let’s see what I can get outta this… Nice beginning rhymes; anotha hot club/good anthem. Even though there should be more energy in tha voice, this sounds good/shit I can tolerate… I don’t mind anyone’s rhymes, here; Dino’s on tha 3rd verse, so shouldn’t he be behind Bear on tha ID? My Rating: 4.1

½time: Above average, for me; 3.9 for tha current CD rating…

09. “Keep Smokin’” Feat. Jack (of Down Bad) & Pada
>>> A.K.A. Jack Da Rippa; I thought that’s who I heard in tha beginning… I was gonna say, at least it’s an attempt for a better feature than other CDs I previously reviewed, but most people are tha same wit their buzzes and shit. I like how Jack says, “Dat last gram I had? Psst, sold it!” You already know it’s ‘bout dis smokin’ shit! Was kinda worried ‘bout tha 7:12 length, but it ain’t bad. LOL @ when it says, “Man, I’m loaded in dis bitch,” ‘round 3:40, it sounds like I can hear pasting (wit hearin’ a sound effect before tha repeatin’). But yea, definitely a jam; you know dat Jack actually has more character and energy when he raps/sings! My Rating: 4.3

10. “On My Mind”
>>> Now, a shorter song; good transition, and it sounds like a song ta make you feel good ‘bout yourself. My Rating: 4.0

11. “Murda Man (Freestyle)”
>>> ROFL, I thought that first few seconds was my voice! It’s ironic ‘cause we’re textin’ right now! But, not a skit, but a freestyle, and it’s pretty gutta; from jail? Where this comin’ from? Good shit; oh, from “tha computer”? My Rating: 4.3

12. “Love In The Studio”
>>> WTF iz this long, pop/boy band vocals shit? Took way too long for me to hear your verse; not much interest for me… My Rating: 1.5

13. “Super Sick” Feat. Neno Tha Don
>>> Now, no beat, but it sounds good in tha beginning… Now, I’m hearin’ tha beat and lyrics; it’s more on tha ‘typical’, 2010s music structure, for me, so I can’t feel this too much. Really, only tha acapella freestyle caught my attention, in tha beginning. I also have to comment your “polo,” too, since dat shit’s nice. My Rating: 2.7

14. “From A Distance”
>>> At least this ain’t no long-ass, boring-ass song; it’s decent and short, tha way a mixtape track should be. Well, I dunno about tha beat, but this ain’t terrible, for me; at least you keepin’ tha rhymes goin’… My Rating: 3.2

15. “The Best”
>>> I don’t think I gon go for this; 4:31 on tha length, no less… Sounds a lil’ for a teenager, for me, wit tha lyrics; ironic for someone that’s older than me… I rather hear some X-rated rhymes, instead. My Rating: 1.6

16. “Spot Light”
>>> Not a good ending for me, wit this “throw up”/’I-sit-in-tha-house-everyday-dwellin’-on-makin’-a-friendship year of 2005 (“Down And Out” beat). Barely any interest, but now, you finally have better/consistent rhymes? Not too powerful of a mix, for me, unfortunately. My Rating: 2.9

Overall: Ehh, it was better in tha beginning, but took a nose-dive toward tha end; not every rapper can create this so-called ‘diversified’ Louisiana music.

Rankings:

Review #1,124: J.A.P.A.N. "Gucci Musik (Good Music)"

Reviewed on 1.18.2012 (Review #1,124)

Got my 9th review for today and it’s anotha Jungle Records release: J.A.P.A.N. Gucci Musik (Good Music); how will it go? Start Time: 11:58 PM | End Time: 12:29 AM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! 01. “P.A. Niggaz”
Let’s hear it! >>> Sounds like a tight anthem fa Port Allen, despite it bein’ a Vybe beat! Really likin’ that tha title’s in tha song, frequently; definitely grabbin’ tha listener by tha ear, for Port Allen!! My Rating: 4.3

02. “Thuggin’ & Lovin’ It” Feat. Dude Blitz & Dee Dee
>>> Must be tha same singer from tha “cook” song, from tha Jay Bin Laden CD? Sounds catchy, this time, wit tha hook! Good job wit tha verses, too; kinda feels like a musical glance at Port Allen, at its finest! My Rating: 4.1

03. “Good Nite”
Now, it’s not a compound word; produced by Young Jack, as I previously heard! My Current Rating: 4.2

04. “Lay ‘Em Down”
A solo from Regal… Oh yea, I recognize this title; tha “9millie” song, lol. My Current Rating: 3.7

05. “Deuces Freestyle”
Solo from M.A., here. >>> I hear M.A.’s mixtape title, The Rap Derek Lewis, in tha intro; guess I gon hear this tomorrow, when I review M.A.’s solo mixtape? Either way, “Deuces” beat or not, this ain’t too bad; M.A. seems ta have nearly tha same voice as Jay Regal, these dayz… Rhymes are barely passin’ tha ‘aight’ mark fa me, here, but more on tha boring side, overall… Also, since it’s a “freestyle”, it shouldn’t be tha same length as tha original! My Rating: 3.1

06. “Deez Streets” Feat. 20
Wonder who this 20 dude iz… >>> Really think y’all “die in deez streets”? :( Hope not; can’t even think about death!! Still, I’m feelin’ these “streets”-type rhymes; keep this shit up! My Rating: 3.9

07. “Murder Rate”
>>> This iz a ‘repeat’ beat for me (Vybe); played a song who made their own song off of this, back in ’09, so I already had a main song off this beat, which makes my interest real low… For this, I’m likin’ tha ‘gun’ rhymes, once again; I really like how y’all paint a picture of your streets. M.A. on tha 2nd verse? Catchy flow; I’ll give it credit, includin’ tha nice rhymes. My Rating: 3.5

08. “Paper Chase” Feat. Redd
>>> Because it’s a Vybe beat, this iz okay, overall; glad it’s a ‘mission’-type song! I like tha “lunch line” line; all about them memories! Redd does a nice job wit his contributions, too; gotta feel how he comin’ through, on tha track! My Rating: 3.6

½time: A 3.8-rated CD, currently.

09. “Get It Girl”
>>> Really would like to hear original beats; this iz decent, but nothin’ I’d really pay attention to… My Rating: 3.0

10. “Game Tight”
Production from Drako? >>> Sounds remakey…; luckily, it ain’t too bad, and tackles a good subject, since it’s all about tha “real.” Whether this iz remakey or not, I’m likin’ it, and think it’s a nice production. Rhymes are soundin’ good, of course, I can dig it… My Rating: 4.0

11. “Fuck U Pay Me” (Tune Feat. J.A.P.A.N.)
Not sure what you mean by “tune” in tha ID… New production from Biggs, here… >>> Sounds like a quiet version of “Wipe Me Down”, a lil’; not bad… Oh wait, do you mean Tune Feat. J.A.P.A.N. for tha ID ‘cause it’s actually y’all CD? Okay, I hear, and I’m correct; my bad for tha confusion. I have to say, this sounds like a nice, underground, underground song for tha underground, lol. My Rating: 3.8

12. “Livin’ My Life” Feat. S.B.R. Boy
Speakin’ of S.B.R. Boy, what happened to his Facebook? Ducked off? >>> Beginning sounds okay; thought I’d hear a lil’ more tightness from S.B.R., but it’s all good, still. Kinda long on tha length, but I dunno what ta say…; you already know dat you guys hold it down for tha streetz. My Rating: 3.6

13. “D’Boys”
Lil’ Wubb on tha beat; I remember this. However, when hearin’ tha beginning, right now, “Raw Ha Records”? “Hood Official Vol. 1;” fa real? I remember that CD gettin’ pushed back/cancelled ‘cause I didn’t even have an editing program, at tha time, lol; weird dedication! My Current Rating: 4.2

14. “Street Shit” Feat. Dino
>>> Nothin’ really special wit tha sound and how this sounds wit tha 1st verse… Damn @ Jay Regal for takin’ “a baby;” crazy! Ooh, Dino has a good voice fa this; nice job, too! My Rating: 3.2

15. “Fashion Show” Feat. Dino
Anotha production from Drako, here… >>> Nothin’ really special between tha beat and what’s goin’ on wit tha song… For some reason, tha features seem to be catchin’ my attention more; good job, Dino, endin’ this off. My Rating: 2.9

16. “Leave Me Lonely” Feat. Redd & Tut
>>> Wow, weak beat start for J.A.P.A.N.! :( Now, tha rhymes are soundin’ betta, smh? Rhymes are okay, but they’re, like, non-Louisiana for me, wit this sound. M.A. sounds good wit his shit, here, so I’ll give him some credit… My Rating: 2.5

17. “I Ain’t Fuckin’ Wit Cha” Feat. Pada & Bear
>>> Catchy for an ending song; not bad… Likin’ tha 1st verse wit tha flow, voice, and shit goin’ on, here… Tha 2nd verse iz nice, too; looks like tha features help, once again! My Rating: 3.8

Overall: Ehh, could’ve been a lil’ betta, but I guess tha original beats’ll come soon…

Rankings:

17.       “Leave Me Lonely” Feat. Redd & Tut 2.5
16.       “Fashion Show” Feat. Dino 2.9
15.       “Get It Girl” 3.0

Review #1,123: Jay Regal "Jay Bin Laden"

Reviewed on 1.18.2012 (Review #1,123)

Already up to my 8th review today? That doesn’t seem typical, but I guess I seem motivated ‘cause I’m mad!! It’s Jay Regal Jay Bin Laden, uh-uh-uh-oh, lol! Still wit Jungle Records, but this ain’t a Raw Ha release (that’s how long it’s been since I have heard a Jay Regal CD). Start Time: 8:46 PM | End Time: 9:23 PM

01. “Curtain Call”
>>> I think this iz a good-soundin’ intro track; nice rhymes, within your perspective… My Rating: 4.0

02. “Shotgun” Feat. Pada
>>> Hook and beat sounds good ta hear; good shit fa tha streetz… I’m likin’ your street-type rhymes, here, when it comes ta how you handle your “shotgun,” ya feel me? Pada’s on tha 2nd verse and he sounds a lil’ like a white dude, wit how he sounds; okay, but not much energy goin’ on in tha flow… My Rating: 3.7

03. “Goodnite”
Or, not as a compound word (“Good Nite”); let’s hear this J.A.P.A.N. single… >>> This sounds like single material; sounds like one of y’all’s doin’ tha damn thang on tha hook! I think it’s M.A. on tha hook? Nearly tha same voice, but whateva, this iz hot… Tha 1st verse iz good; it’s all about not carin’ about others, which iz what I’m now developin’! Yea, here you are on tha 2nd verse, Regal; you know what it iz…/I don’t need ta say much… My Rating: 4.2

04. “Lay ‘Em Down”
>>> Anotha “gun” anthem; you can pull it off, unlike others. Speakin’ of a “9millie,” I had one to me four years ago, on January 23, as a “joke,” smh! Good, catchy verses fa your streetz, here. My Rating: 3.7

05. “Break It Down” Feat. Dude Blitz & DeeDee
>>> Wasn’t expectin’, or anticipatin’ tha singin’, but if this iz about cuttin’ “work,” then I’ll let it slide… LOL, you “count a lotta 100’s,” huh? How consistent are you wit it? Hope you can do some of my services, soon… What’s up wit these random kids in tha background? Soundin’ a lil’ too much… Dude Blitz sounds not bad on tha 2nd verse; glad he’s makin’ an appearance, at least… My Rating: 3.8

06. “What You Mean I Ain’t Gangsta”
Different spellin’, this time… Sorry, but this iz complete novelty, bad luck music for me, now; R.I.P. 2009, forever! My Current Rating: 4.3

07. “Chicks In The Living Room” Feat. Dino
I don’t remember Dino’s name all capitalized… >>> Nas sample in tha hook; sounds a lil’ catchy, as it repeats, so I don’t mind too much… Good shit from you in tha 1st verse; keep this shit goin’, Regal. Dino sounds nice on tha 2nd verse, too… My Rating: 4.2

08. “Caked Up” Feat. M.A.
>>> Not tha kids in tha background, again! What iz this “best kept secret” shit? :confused Thumbs up fa tha “puff and ride slow music,” Regal. Tha beat’s soundin’ a lil’ borin’, here and there, but it’s not too bad for a song, overall…; tha hook sounds regular, too. Let’s see M.A.—oh wait, that’s you on tha 2nd verse? I guess I was too in-tune ta what I sayin’, and figured dat he would be on tha 2nd verse or somethin’. Either way, good job wit your “caked up” lyrics, J. My Rating: 3.7

½time: Good CD, it seems like, although I feel more in a decent mode; 4.0 for tha CD rating, currently!

09. “Clickhouse” Feat. Redd & Pada
>>> Sounds catchy wit this “and, I’ma break it off” shit repeatin’ in tha hook, includin’ tha “clickhouse” shit. I’m likin’ tha shit you’re spittin’ in tha 1st verse, Regal; nice job wit tha representin’… Hearin’ this 2nd verse, and it’s okay, for a more-unknown rapper… My Rating: 3.9

10. “Psycho”
>>> An intro skit goin’ on, here… After 1:21, tha hook’s finally here, and it sounds good, except for a need of energy… If you really went “psycho” wit how your voice would sound on here, that would be awesome! But, for this, it’s okay; thought I’d hear more than one verse, but it’s cool… “Drag queen killa, I be dressed up as them hoes be;” whoa! My Rating: 3.5

11. “Holding”
>>> More short music, which sounds good. Sounds like you’re “holding” a crown or somethin’, based off your status, here; not bad… My Rating: 3.6

12. “Say My Name Right”
>>> Sounds like a catchy song; who doesn’t know how ta pronounce “Jay Regal,” right? Catchiness, includin’ some decent rhymes… My Rating: 3.7

13. “Just Waitin’” Feat. Lil’ Wubb
He dropped tha “Lil’”? Prolly not… Too bad he didn’t have a passion for me, since he only made one outgoin’ call ta me, back on July 18, 2009, when I didn’t have service? Thank God I ain’t that passionate about phone calls, anymore! >>> Must be Wubb in tha beginning; okay… Not really anything catchy comin’ outta tha hook, unfortunately; let’s see what you got ta offer on tha 2nd verse… It’s okay; I don’t really have anything to really say about it. My Rating: 3.4

14. “Louder”
>>> Sounds okay; I don’t really have anything ta say ‘bout this one, too… Well, I’ll say that I like when it says, “louder,” lol! My Rating: 3.8

15. “Syrupee Flow”
>>> I dunno how I can handle this different style wit tha beginning beat; lemme hear what you got wit tha verses… Okay, nice “high” anthem; I’ll give it some credit… My Rating: 3.7

16. “D-Boys”
Tha 2nd single from J.A.P.A.N.; lemme hear it… >>> Yea, this sounds catchy; betta than most of tha shit on here, so far… You know it’s catchy when you say, “D-Boys! D-Boys,” ya feel me? Yup, “got hard, got soft, got blunts;” Jay Regal, tha man!! Nice job wit tha 2nd verse, too; good, catchy ‘single’! My Rating: 4.2

17. “Make ‘Em Mad”
>>> Damn, tha kids are in tha background, again! :td This sounds like a decent joint; what’s up wit all tha decent music? I thought you had consistent, tight music? Guess it’s time for Raw Ha Records to bring you back? My Rating: 3.6

Overall: Ehh, it was a lil’ above average, but not tha shit I was used to, back in ’09…

Review #322: Jay Regal "315 Village St. (Welcome 2 West Baton Rouge) Vol. 1"

Reviewed on 10.16.2009 (Review #322)

FrankieThaLuckyDog right here, doin’ my 3rd review for tha day! This iz comin’ from my boy Jay Regal. I was ‘pose ta get this in tha mail almost 2 months ago, but I don’t know what happened ta S.B.R.; no responses or nothin’? I rememba also him sayin’, “I feel bad for your commercials on MySpace that have under 20 views. It feels like they don’t appreciate them or whateva.” However, how come tha J.A.P.A.N. commercial I made has 0 views within tha past month? Anyway, I don’t understand that situation, so I’m gonna just get into tha review: Here goes my review fa Jay Regal 315 Village St. (Welcome 2 West Baton Rouge) Vol. 1!! Start Time: 6:05 PM | End Time: 8:15 PM

If you sound like anything too mainstream for me or have auto-tune in your vocals, I’m not buyin’ it!

© 2009 CD Review (Review #322) reviewed on 10.16.2009 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. “Jump Stupid” Feat. Dude Blitz, Reno Da Gutta & M.A.
This iz 1 of 2 songs in tha DatPiff folder labeled as Track #4… Sounds nice and wild in tha hook; you KNOW I’m feelin’ it!! Tha 1st verse iz soundin’ great wit dat real hood shit goin’ on! NICE “pop ‘em 2 by 2 keep me energized” part in tha 1st verse; str8 PURE Louisiana shit right here!! Dat was (I believe) Dude Blitz on tha 1st verse, and Reno’s on tha 2nd verse, all “powered up” on dis shit to tha fullest! “Get shots like a bartender;” nice line right there from Reno! Need “a fight song,” so I’m glad y’all (especially Reno on tha 2nd verse) “made dis a fight song!” Still keepin’ dis jungle-ass music continuous on tha 3rd verse from M.A., doin’ tha damn thang!! You doin’ a NICE job on tha 4th verse here, as you’re SOOOOOOO “retontoe!!” I luv your “I know you fulla dem pillz” part, as well as “out here sagged out;” you TOOOOOO hood wit his hood shit, my dawg!! REAL GLAD I’m real cool wit you, and doin’ buku shit fa you, ya dig!! Luv tha acapella at tha end, ESPECIALLY tha “jump stupid, nigga, nigga” part (where “nigga” iz said 2x back 2 back)!! You had tha best verse followed by Reno! My Current Rating: 4.7

02. “What U Mean I Ain’t Gansta”
Aren’t you forgettin’ tha word “ain’t” in tha title? I rememba usin’ this in one of tha commercials or somethin’ months ago; lemme hear tha whole thing! >>> Pretty good beat fa this shit right here, and tha hook IZ fully on its “gansta” shit!! Hearin’ what you were doin’ in tha 1st verse; glad you tellin’ me what’s goin’ on! Nice job on tha 1st verse, and you KNOW you tha truth wit this street shit right here, my boy! Still comin’ through REAL NICE wit this “gansta” shit on tha 2nd verse, my boy! “No shower,” so you KNOW you ALWAYS in these streetz!! Really enjoyin’ tha rhymes too; VERY consistent from every rhyme!! Yea!! There’s a 3rd verse, and you REALLY doin’ ya thang wit rappin’ ‘bout tha “cops” and err-thang! You KNOW I’ve been waitin’ fa this CD ta drop, and I’m glad it’s FINALLY here!!! My Rating: 4.4

03. “Get It How You Live” Feat. M.A. & Reno Da Gutta
They left tha features out in tha DatPiff tracklisting. I rememba this bein’ tha same beat as Southpaw & Rackley “Allstars”; this was tha beginning song on tha J.A.P.A.N. commercial, and here’s what went down: Anotha Baton Rouge vs. Baton Rouge beat ‘cause I heard this as Southpaw & Rackley “Allstars”, but also one of Lil’ Boxx’s song on his “Bring The Pain Mixtape Vol. 1” mixtape. Either way, nice hook, and you doin’ tha damn thang on tha hook and tha 1st verse! Pretty good 1st verse, and tha hook (of course) iz tha truth when it comes to dis Rap shit! Tha 2nd verse sounds like it really on its street business shit! Glad you “tryna fill your stomach up” ‘cause dat’s what you gotta do!! Reno comin’ through NICE on tha 3rd verse, str8 street shit!! Did he give a shout out ta Scoob (meanin’ Big Scoob) on tha 3rd verse? If so, then that’s DEFINITELY a plus ‘cause dat my boy right there; Jiggalators to tha fullest!! Nice, strong rhymes here, as they’re ALL listenable!! My Current Rating: 4.3

04. “Shinin’” Feat. Young Foley
Let’s see what we got wit this collaboration here! >>> A lil’ weird on tha intro, but pretty good beat here. Tha hook iz just like tha intro, but I guess it fits; I betta hear all you on tha verses though! Most definitely comin’ through wit that street shit, includin’ how “bitches luv tha way you jiggalate;” fuckin’ got SO much luv fa you, big dawg!! NICE job on tha 1st verse, my boy!! Nice start to tha 2nd verse, includin’ you luvin’ tha “Jump Stupid” song; I should radio edit that song next!! I like tha beat feel at 2:13; reminded me of Blu Black when he produced his “Out My Body” song! You don’t got a 3rd verse, as you’re talkin’ wit 1:34 left on tha song? I’m glad you talkin’, but… oh wait, neva mind, you repeated tha “bitches luv tha way I jiggalate” part real quick; glad you repeated it! However, it’s fadin’ out wit 1 minute left? Any talkin’? It’s just a minute of silence? *Sits and waits…* BOO!! A whole minute of silence; y’all should’ve cut it off! REAL GLAD you did ya thang on tha verses! My Rating: 4.1

05. “Ballout” Feat. J. Fletcha
I KNEW an undaground star was born when I saw you ALL FRESH wit tha blu polo, blu du-rag, and all dat in this recording session video shoot, ya dig!! MAJOR PROPS ta Cyber Promo 360 fa sendin’ it to me on MySpace; it made me discover you! Now, time ta give a review on tha whole song!! >>> Still got these pretty good beats ta go wit what you spittin’, ya dig! Tha hook does tha damn thang, and you REALLY do ya thang on tha 1st verse, spittin’ all you!! Nice job on tha 1st verse, and your boy Fletcha on tha 2nd verse. Y’all make a nice collab, and I’m glad dat video introduced me ta him too! He spit what he felt like, and now, I’m hearin’ tha 3rd verse for tha 1st time (since it wasn’t in dat video I don’t think)… You’re on it, and you’re just spittin’ what you’re interested in. REAL GLAD you’re “smellin’ like purple!” I just hung you and M.A.’s pic up on my wall along wit a bunch of otha artists from tha 225 that I luv, ya dig! I’m DYIN’ ta meet ya one day! You KNOW you my boy!!! Nice job wit tha beat ending too, doin’ tha damn thang! My Rating: 4.5

06. “We Rollin’” Feat. Lil’ Wubb
Raw Ha Records collaboration here between you and Wubb; lookin’ forward ta this!! >>> Sounds like a clock countin’ down in tha beginning, lol. DEFINITELY soundin’ anticipatin’ at :14 wit tha beat! You soundin’ REAL catchy on tha hook, Regal!! I thought tha song was about “rollin’” in tha whip, but it’s BETTA ‘cause it’s “rollin’” up tha kush!! You on tha 1st verse, and it sounds like you’re just LUVIN’ life right now, ya dig!! Good job on tha 1st verse; you NEVA fail wit this Rap shit!! Dat boy Wubb on tha 2nd verse, and he’s soundin’ good on this shit! He anotha one that luvs what I be doin’ fa 225 peeps! Catchy shit right here, so that’s a plus! I’m reviewin’ his CD after this one, so look out fa his review too! Nice job on this shit, and it looks like a long beat outro wit 55 seconds left. Fuck! It stopped at 34 seconds remainin’, so there’s 34 seconds of silence. My Rating: 4.4

07. “Walk Back” Feat. M.A.
Let’s see if it’s really 4:34 on tha length… You got ya boy M.A. on this thang!! >>> Iz that K.T. on tha track? Y’all must be glad y’all hooked up wit him! Tha beat start iz REALLY catchy, ESPECIALLY at :17!! LOL @ this!! This at least izn’t a dance song, but iz for tha ladies ta get down to, soundin’ REAL GOOD wit dat REAL NICE beat!!! You’re REALLY inta this on tha 1st verse, my boy! Keep this shit up, bein’ in luv like crazy!! REALLY lookin’ forward ta M.A. spittin’ on this one; here he comes on tha 2nd verse! Yea, he doin’ tha damn thang on here, spittin’ tha same shit you be spittin’ on this track! Nice job on this shit, but nope, it’s 3:35 on tha length, as there’s 59 seconds of silence. My Rating: 4.3

½time: Lookin’ like a REAL GOOD CD right now, Jay!! You told me it was gonna be for tha drug dealers, tha killaz, tha hoes, and tha ladies, as well as ridin’/smokin’ music, and it’s DEFINITELY a gumbo pot right now!! I look forward to tha remainin’ 7 songs!! Tha average CD rating iz NICE too: 4.4!!

08. “What It’s Going For” Feat. Lil’ Wubb
Looks like a drug song; I KNOW I’ll luv it if it iz!! >>> You sound REAL good in tha beginning wit that good beat! I think it IZ a drug song!! Hearin’ tha hook, and it’s soundin’ REAL, REAL GOOD!!! REAL NICE start to tha 1st verse wit “you want a fiya bag?” I swear, like I said all tha time, you’re A BLESSIN’!!! Glad you were true when you said, “I got somethin’ for tha drug dealaz!” DEFINITELY feelin’ tha lyrics in tha 1st verse; 100% STREET SHIT!!! Yea, Wubb’s on tha 2nd verse! Let’s see his drug shit… Soundin’ good on this shit! “Don’t hit me wit dat cheap stuff;” I feel dat! Nice job contributin’, Wubb! Too bad tha length iz short here; could’ve used tha silence on tha otha songs ta create a 3rd verse! My Rating: 4.6

09. “1 Pound” Feat. Heata Boy
It’s JUST you, and tha drug dealin’ topics ARE CONTINUIN’!!!!! >>> You said, “got my nigga Heata Boy up in this bitch,” so iz he missin’ from tha ID? We’ll see, but I FUCKIN’ LUV tha “blunt afta blunt afta blunt afta blunt…” shit in tha beginning!! Tha hook iz REALLY watz good wit tha way it’s screwed a lil’ and tha title!! This iz more on tha smokin’ topic, so that’s REALLY watz good!!!!! Luvin’ all your lyrics in tha 1st verse, ESPECIALLY tha coughin’!! REAL TIGHT on tha 1st verse; you doin’ it REAL, REAL BIG FA Port Allen!!! You are DEFINITELY tha undaground king of Port Allen!!! I guess tha ID was missin’ somethin’, as I’m sure dat’s Heata Boy on tha 2nd verse… He REALLY enjoyin’ dat reefa and all dat good shit! Glad he “flyin’ wit tha eagles,” and “higher than an avalanche” (I think that was both lines); REAL NICE job!!! REAL GLAD there’s a 3rd verse FINALLY!!! You’re REALLY inta tha smokin’ session here!! “High as giraffe ass” you said? LOL, lemme get Husk! Also glad you “don’t go anywhere without puffin’ on dat Mary Jane,” ESPECIALLY “ridin’ through Gardere Lane!” BIG SHOUT OUT ta G-Lane!! My Rating: 4.8

10. “She Like”
Now, goin’ to tha ladies this time; let’s see what you got fa 3 minutes flat! >>> Maybe this iz for tha hoes, lol. Likin’ tha beat, especially tha hook, as it sounds like a desert! Tha female on tha hook also sounds good too! Nice lil’ combo here, and it sounds like your flow iz simple on this song. I like that “knew she was a thug when she lit up tha ‘gar fa me” part; you REALLY get ya smoke on even when unexpected!! Tha flow was also on its simple level on tha 2nd verse too. Pretty catchy shit right here, as you ALWAYS doin’ it big! My Rating: 4.1

11. “Magic Carpet”
Only 2:15 on tha length this time? Let’s see how much you SHINE on this “magic carpet,” lol! >>> Now, I think this iz for tha ladies right here… Not only that, but a FUSION of smokin’ too, lol!! REAL NICE/unexpected fusion, as well as luvin’ your smokin’ still! Glad you delivered for her ta “lick it, suck it;” good job, Jay! I liked tha beat afta tha 1st verse, you know! Good shit right here, and it fit REAL good in this gumbo pot of Jay Regal! My Rating: 4.2

12. “We Gone Party Tonight” Feat. M.A.
You KNOW when I see “gon” as “gone” on its spelling, I get anticipated ta see what we got!! >>> Continuin’ on wit tha catchy beats, tha intro sounds pretty catchy wit its beat! Sounds like “a house party” type of hook goin’ on here! Actually, that was just tha intro: Tha hook iz now here, and it’s SO FUCKIN’ TIGHT wit tha “get tha weed, get tha pillz;” REALLY fuckin’ got LOTS of luv fa you, Jay Regal!! And tha “sagged out ‘bauds on” too, makin’ tha 1st verse REAL GR8 already!!! REAL NICE job on tha 1st verse, and tha hook iz just TOOOOOOOOO GOOD!!! Here you are on tha 2nd verse, now addin’ sexualness to tha song! Glad you havin’ a gumbo pot fulla this song!! Nice job on tha 2nd verse, and this song iz just TOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!!!!!! Someone featured on tha 3rd verse? Iz that M.A.? Why no feature on DatPiff? He doin’ tha damn thang on some “house party” shit here! Feelin’ tha rhymes in this, fa real! REAL NICE job, and I FUCKIN’ LUV THA HOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tha ending even had him repeatin’ a lil’ bit of tha beginning of his verse for a bridge; nice shit here! My Rating: 4.9

13. “Bounce”
Still keepin’ these lengths long (I hope) wit 4:37 on tha length!! This shit looks like it gon be… I can’t even tell; lemme hear it!! >>> I might’ve heard that intro somewhere… Maybe it was from one of tha intros from a Raw Ha Records video on you? Either way, tha beginning to tha hook sounds good, although what does it have ta do wit tha title? Okay, I hear it now in tha 2nd ½ of tha hook, and it sounds good. Extended hook as it repeated already, as tha 1st verse finally started at 1:23. Oh wait, STILL not a 1st verse? What’s wit all tha repeatin’? Tha 1st verse iz here… 2:12 IN!! Iz it even considered in a verse form? I think tha way this song iz made iz different ‘cause it’s more on tha hook/title. My bad for all this confusion; I neva really saw any of this happen before. This iz extremely repetitive, lol! *Shocked* An ending at 3:50? And even a GR8 endin’ wit “fuck my baby mama, fuck my baby daddy!” Glad you at least switched it up at tha end. LOL, iz my review for this song in a lingo or what?! My Rating: 4.0

14. “Hotspittin’ (Freestyle)”
This was that freestyle that I featured in your pre-commercial & J.A.P.A.N. commercial? I have a feelin’ it iz; let’s see… >>> Doesn’t sound like it in tha beginning, and there’s a beat this time. Tha beat iz a lil’ different, but sounds nice wit you rappin’ on it! Interestin’ rhymes goin’ on here, and I’m feelin’ ‘em, ya dig! Nice job wit tha freestyle, but don’t tell me you’re havin’ tha last 2:18 as just tha beat… IT SOUNDS LIKE IT! Should’ve shortened that length by like at least 1 ¾ minutes!! I won’t deduct fa dat; I’ll just count tha freestyle. My Rating: 4.3

Overall: It looked like it took 2 hours and 10 minutes, but I was liftin’ weights, talkin’ ta my cousin & rappin’ grandma, so that took up time. Anyway, REAL NICE job on this CD, my boy!! Too bad tha people that don’t know how ta get rid of tha silence have ta sit through like 3 minutes of silence on tha CD, but you know me, I can edit it out, ya dig! DEFINITELY felt what you brought to tha table here, and I wish there was more songs! However, I got ta hear tha J.A.P.A.N. CD last month, so at least I got 2x tha Regal, ya dig! Keep this Rap shit goin’, and you KNOW I’ma ALWAYS support you wit dis shit!!
