Review #1,566: Underground 1 "Murder In Da First"

Reviewed on 10.04.2016 (Review #1,566)

More reviewz comin’ at cha! Here’s Underground 1 Murder In Da First, released in 1996 on A.W.G.B. Records & was produced by Studio Steve! Start Time: 5:37 PM | End Time: 5:46 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. “Murder In Da First (Radio Version)”
I just gon hear tha dirty version when it comes up… See #2 Fa tha review!

02. “Murder In Da First (Radio Song Version)”
I don’t get it…; two clean versions? >>> Beat sounds nice and eerie; can dig it… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s nice with this female… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty jammin’ fa tha ‘9-6… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ nice, once again; catchy rhymes and Jamaican-like flow! My Rating: 4.3

03. “No Time To Burn (Snippet)”
>>> Sounds nice with this West Coast-y beat… Neva would’ve thought this was a chick, tha whole way round! Sounds good; good shit… My Rating: 3.9

½time: Feelin’ it fa an unexpected female rapper tape… Great job, so far, holdin’ shit down! A 4.1-rated tape, so far!

04. “Murder In Da First”
Wow, how’d I not see this on here? See #2 fa tha review!

05. “They Can’t See Me”
>>> A dude, this time, spittin’ some smart shit on tha 1st verse, here, ova this good beat fa tha undaground… Somethin’ was reversed right before tha 1:00 mark; hmm… Can’t deny these gangsta and smart rhymes, here… Tha hook ain’t bad but why tha mysterious reversed shit? My Rating: 3.7

06. “Killing Spree (Snippet)”
>>> Sounds nice, just like tha other snippet… Great job from y’all, here, ova this decent beat… My Rating: 3.9

Overall: Fa only a few songs, this wasn’t too bad… I dug how tha female went off on tha first song and then, it wasn’t too bad with tha dude spittin’ tha smart rhymes…

Rankings:

04.       “They Can’t See Me” 3.7
03.   “No Time To Burn (Snippet)” 3.9
02.   “Killing Spree (Snippet)” 3.9
