Thomas was trappin' with "large quantities of marijuana" inside a house, where he was shot multiple times at 5724 Henderson Avenue. Once officers arrived at tha scene, Thomas was already pronounced dead. Currently, there are no motives or suspects found in this case.

One of Thomas' first appearances on a release was tha late Baton Rouge rapper, King Joe & his King Almighty mixtape, released on March 5, 2017 & hosted by Baton Rouge DJ, DJ Scrap. Tha following month, on April 8, 2017, Joe was murdered, at just 23 years-old. Thomas began payin' his respects to Joe as often as possible. In 2018, Thomas released his 1st release, Looney Tunes, Vol. 1 & followed it up in 2019 with tha sequel, Looney Tunes, Vol. 2. With tha release of multiple videos throughout tha years, as well as just bein' featured two dayz before his death in an upcoming music video of Baton Rouge's Kmac, Thomas kept tha undaground streetz of BR goin' until Sunday, September 13, 2020, where he was murdered on Henderson Avenue. Review #1,800: Bubba "Long Live Big Meats World"
Reviewed on 3.23.2019 (Review #1,800)
Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!
Been
depressed & confused about life, these dayz, but I still get a lil’ moment
in between tha bullshit to review…! My 1,800th one, right nah! Gonna
prolly be a while till I reach 1,900; I’ll prolly be livin’ in my future house
in Florida,
by then! We’ll see; gotta keep chasin’ tha dreamz! Fa now, here goes my review
for Bubba—one of my favorite dudes
outta Baton Rouge!
Here’s his latest release, Long Live Big Meats World, courtesy

Intro (Big Meats Speaks – R.I.P. Marlon Jones)
>>>
Sounds good; R.I.P. your dad, by tha way! Felt bad that he took his life right
after I met you, in Louisiana!
My Rating: N/A
02.
“Run Up A Check”
$hop
With Ken, here, courtesy of tha production…! >>> Sounds nice wit this
production; definitely nice! Even tho a money song, you know I feel what you
bring to tha table all tha time, ya
feel me? We #80sBabiesInOur30s; baleedat! Lots of rhymes comin’ through
throughout tha 1st verse; nice! I agree wit havin’ “love fa a couple…” and all that, with tha times changin’.
Can’t be too hyped about a lot, as our circles get smaller, these dayz. Hearin’
tha 2nd verse and it’s pretty nice; consistent, non-stop rhymes! You
don’t stop wit deliverin’ rapid fire!! I have to say, I’m really likin’ tha
last hook, where you continuously drill, “Run it up, run it up…,” in err-body’s
brains, durin’ tha hook! Definitely nice; I fucks wit it! My Rating: 4.6
03.
“Do Sumthang” feat. YNW Quarter Baby & Lil’ G
$hop
With Ken on this one (that’s what tha back cover says; filename says,
“BugottiBeatz”); what “thang” y’all got, here…? >>> Feelin’ what you bringin’
to tha table, here, as well as this production! Yeah, tired of all tha people
frontin’ and all they lame, gay, fake nonsense! Hearin’ you on tha 1st
verse and you flow nicely on this beat; definitely nice! Shoutin’ out “Johnnie
Domino,” too, here; met y’all one day apart from each other (June 21, 2017
& June 22, 2017). Gotta luv y’all in Baton
Rouge; Baton Rouge, where my heart at! It ain’t
changin’ wit this undaground rap shit! Got this newbie (tha Quarter Baby) on
tha 2nd verse, here, and no matter what year you drop “sumthang,”
Bub, you fuck wit good people. Definitely props on this dude fa droppin’ some
nice shit, str8 from BR’s hoods! You can tell from tha voice and delivery that
you hear that grimy, Baton Rouge
shit, str8 from da streetz! Real talk! Tha final verse from G, here, wit some reactin’, in a thinkin’ way. Yeah, sometimes, I “think,” but it seems like I act
on impulse, which leads in tha wrong direction, smh. Nice lil’ contribution,
here, from tha “Internet,” to “inta dat;” baleedat! My Rating: 4.5
04.
“Pain Away”
More
$hoppin’ wit Ken, here! >>> Sounds like a lil’ on a sad tip but you
got your “shmokin’ ta take this pain away,” so you got dis! Beat cool fa a
laidback vibe but yeah, it sux what happened to your pops… Hearin’ you on tha 1st
verse and just like tha hook, no matter tha vibe, you got tha fast rhymes on
lock… “Luv all my kids but fuck all they mamas;” crazy havin’ five baby mamas,
too! We all got somethin’! I’m just enterin’ tha life of troubled bullshit, as
of this year, smh! From 2014 – 2018, there were teases with pull-overs with
people & small shit, but now, shit a test! Keepin’ tha 2nd verse
goin’; definitely feelin’ your non-stop rappin’! Right b4 tha 2nd
verse ended, with you rappin’ over tha distorted part, it’s pretty nuts!
Headbang & get devoured by your fast flow, Bub! Likin’ your lil’ hummin’ to
hum tha “pain away,” too, toward tha end…! My
Rating: 4.2
05.
“Like It’z Legal” feat. Spitta & C-Loc
Nunu
James on this track…! I had tha exclusive chance, two years ago, to get Bubba
& Money Train Gang’s In Too Deep
CD, featuring some of these tracks! EQ on this one! For those viewing, if y’all
go on my blog, which this review iz on, and find Bubba’s name in tha labels,
you’ll find tha older reviewz. For now, I just gon put tha current ratings, if
I already have heard ‘em… My Current
Rating: 4.7
06.
“Father Forgive Me”
Likin’
some of tha featured tracks, here! S/O to EQ Tha Misfit! Crazy that you
recorded this & I added it right b4 your dad passed! “Father Forgive Me!” My Current Rating: 4.8
07.
“Destin’ Fa Greatnest” feat. Ninja & Shakeback King
Mo
from Ken wit this “greatnest!” “Nest!” >>> Sounds like a good beat;
gotta always say dat… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s cool wit
your rhymes… Real shit; always stay around! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse
and he ain’t bad wit what he bringin’ to da table; it cool… I like how you
bring tha hook wit your fast-soundin’ flow, despite this soundin’ a lil’ like a
slow/laidback vibe… Hearin’ tha 3rd verse and it’s soundin’ cool,
too; nice lil’ contribution, too, from these two dudes I ain’t heard, b4…! My Rating: 4.3
08.
“In My Feelings”
Ken
on da beat, once again! >>> Sounds like a slow track, here; not too
bad for a start… Hearin’ da 1st verse and it sounds good wit how you
dealin’ wit tha “feelings” of these realationships;
good shit. Hearin’ tha hook and it ain’t too bad, here; kinda an okay track fa
me, so far… Hearin’ you on da 2nd verse and it ain’t too bad, too. I
like how you refer to yourself in tha 3rd person, with tha line,
“Bubba, get out yo feelings;” nice…! My
Rating: 4.0
09.
“Don’t Step On My Js (Remix)” feat. Lucky Star & Lil’ Ernest
EQ
on this remixed track…! >>> Sounds pretty nice that we have an upbeat
vibe, here! Not “Step On My Polos”, lol? Just fuckin’ witcha… This sounds
pretty nice wit this jiggin’-type vibe, with tha “Watch My Shoes” theme of not steppin’ on dem shoes! Hearin’ you on
tha 1st verse and you got this shit on lock! One of my leaders wit
tha “fresh” themes! I live like a celeb, dress & sleep as one, too, thanx
ta my clothes & people like you! Keep tha kick-ass flow goin’ wit these
kindza tracks! “I done spent $250;” when I spent $200 on my spiked shoes,
people look at me like I’m crazy. It’s like, they don’t understand tha life
& feelin’ of a celeb! Plus, tha attention I continuously get! This Lucky
Star a female, here, on tha 2nd verse and she sounds good, wit this
“Js” track; likin’ her rap while tha beat’s distorted…! Keepin’ it movin’ wit
Ernest on tha final verse, here, comin’ through wit nice rhymes; good shit!
Definitely likin’ him rappin’ toward tha end of his verse, where it’s acapella!
My Rating: 4.7
½time: Kickin’ ass wit these
tracks, here! Definitely glad you got some new shit ta keep shit on-n-poppin’,
ya dig? A 4.5-rated
CD, currently! Of course, you got your rappin’ on lock, as well as havin’ all
original production! You can’t lose wit Bubba & tha #80sBabiesInOur30s
vibe, wit this 225-type shit!
10.
“BackStabbers”
More
features, courtesy of BugottiBeatz, once again, even tho tha back cover has it
as a blank producer, lol…! My Current
Rating: 4.3
11.
“Wasn’t Fa My Hustle” feat. 38 Slim & Ian EFX
An
EQ beat, once again…! My Current Rating:
4.8
12.
“She Say She Love Me”
With
Ken on tha beat, here! >>> Sounds like a slower track, here, even tho
a lil’ upbeat… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it sounds like you
tryna get through these times… Tha hook ain’t too bad, here; I can fuck wit it…
You ain’t tha type to disappoint, so that’s why, I always give you tha benefit
of tha doubt wit this shit! Neva stop doin’
what you doin’, bruh! Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse and you keepin’
it movin’, once again; good shit…! It’s always entertainin’ ta hear about your
life and shit; not boring! My Rating: 4.0
13.
“Real Rap (Pt. 2)” feat. Ian EFX
Full
version, featuring Ian EFX? Looks like it gon have an extra boost to it,
courtesy of Mod Productions on tha beat! >>> Still sounds good with
its original beat and hook; always been catchy/“real!” Nice dat you kept tha 1st
verse tha same, too; always consistent, to da bone! Ian sounds like an O.G., on
tha 2nd verse. He a decade older than you and even more than me,
holdin’ it down wit his gold teeth! He a gold-teeth gator! Sounds good; more
like an O.G. evolution of your status wit him on this one…! It makes me look at
myself, now that I’m in my 30’s, how legendary I’ve become! I’m startin’ ta
finally feel tha success! My Rating: 4.7
14.
“3hree 5ives & 7evens”
Of
course, still likin’ this title, here, wit Lil’ G on tha beat! My Current Rating: 4.6
15.
“Retarded” feat. Max Minelli
Lol!
EQ, here! Ironic ‘cause with tha way I’m currently livin’ in New York, right now, vs. tha fact that tha
calendar iz tha same as 2013’s, here comes this in 2019! My Current Rating: 4.9
16.
“Million Dolla Trap Spot”
DJ
B-Real!! So glad he reconnected wit me! My
Current Rating: 4.7
17.
“My Trust Fucked Up” feat. Young Ready & DJ Chill
Anotha
one from a while back, even tho sometimes, I like to think that we still livin’
in those times… Mod Productions on this track, fa those that ain’t know… I
actually can relate to this a lot more than when I first heard it, especially
with tha hot water that’s been poppin’ off in PA, lately. Also, not even three
weeks ago, gettin’ in my car to pick some1 up and tha cops followed me/pulled
us over, smh! Tha ultimate “trust” killer!! Lol, kept tha mixed version from
your 1st mixtape! My Current
Rating: 4.8
18.
“Love N Relationships”
Secret
on this secret production… My Current Rating: 4.0
19.
“I’ma Hustle” feat. Byrd
Though
I got as an exclusive back in 2015, I never got to review it. With EQ on tha
beat, this a pretty nice one; definitely great fa EQ on this beat! Catchy lil’
hook wit tha hustlin’, on tha hook!
You got tha determination in ya, as always! Hearin’ you on tha 1st
verse, here, soundin’ good. “Made 10 bands in 10 dayz;” that’s what I was
doin’, Bub! A stack a day! It sux that certain rules & sneak attacks
destroyed me tryna get what I deserved! “Last year, took a loss…;” wish
err-body would deal wit they losses,
as you kick off tha 2nd verse! Err-body wanna have a win but
sometimes, you need dat “loss” to make a bigger win happen! Luv how you speed
up your rappin’ at 2:49: “Now, you just fuck me, duck me, neva luv me…” I also
like how you say, “Aight (aight),” after tha next line! It’s that swag in ya—I
hate that word, “swag,” but I had ta say it fa you ‘cause you definitely got
it! Good collab wit tha good-ole Byrd on tha 3rd verse, strictly
spittin’ those hustlin’ facts! We all
go through jail time, court time, etc.! When it’ll happen in someone’s life?
Who knows! Also, likin’ how tha beat rides out toward tha end; good shit! My Current Rating: 4.8
Overall: Definitely some mo good
shit, Bub! You’ve had five releases in total, so far, and all of ‘em have been automatic five-star-rated CDs! That’s definitely what’s up! You’ve neva had anythang lower than a 4.0, as
far as a song’s rating! I don’t thank many have accomplished that feat; you’re
on tha top wit that feat, Bub, bruh! Keep up tha great work; hope we link up
again in da Rouge! I’ll keep you posted when I come down, again! It prolly
won’t be for a while, since I gotta take care of this bullshit goin’ on. I just
know that we’ll still be #80sBabiesInOur30s by tha time I get back to tha
Rouge! Baleedat!! Not a year goes by without me goin’ to BR!!

“Back Stabbers”
Blue
Billlz (three “L”’s) on tha beat, here… I have a feelin’ I know where dis
goin’… >>> I feel like it’s over-sampled… However, I like how it
sounds pretty slowed down, in a trap way, on tha hook… And, after tha hook, I
love how you have a lil’ intro to tha verse, here! And, at 1:13, we got tha 1st
verse, here, as you’re deliverin’ tha rhymes, here… It’s like, real life, real
shit! Props fa bein’ that leader to lay down life at its finest, right chea!
This how we livin’ in 2017! Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse,

glad he keepin’ tha quality goin’! Constantly goin’ and goin’, here; gotta feel
his aggression!! “Fuck” err-thang!! And, not sure how I was gon act, but I seen
about seven gunz while I was in BR on my last trip; crazy! But, even crazier,
Bubba on tha 3rd verse, strictly, consistently comin’ through wi it!
Just luv what you bringin’, Bubb! Just deliverin’ that real shit that only us

Gotta

havin’ DJ B-Real on tha beat, here, makes me feel like he a millionaire, as well! Can’t wait ta hear
dis one! Oh, there’ll only be one Baton Rouge
and that’s Baton Rouge, Louisiana!! >>> Crazy-ass, sick-ass
beat intro from Mr. B-Real, here! Of course, gotta enjoy this shit while on
edibles! Tha hook sounds pretty dope, here, as you’re holdin’ tha success down
in your “small circle,” ya dig? I’ono what it iz, but everytime I’m on edibles,
listenin’ to a B-Real track, I feel like I get random rushes to my head, as if
I’m dozin’ off… Happened to me earlier on January 15 when I was listenin’ to
his “Make A Change” collab wit Tazz… Tha edibles were kickin’ my head’s ass and
I randomly hallucinated, lol! Tha 1st verse’s definitely nice wit
what you got goin’ on, here, Bubb! Just strictly tellin’ it like it iz! Glad
you don’t stop livin’ tha celeb life!! Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd
verse, here, and you really holdin’
tha consistent rappin’ down! Glad you don’t stop buildin’ your success! My Rating: 4.7
06.
“3hree 5s & 7s”
Lil’
G on this track… Only six tracks on tha CD, itself, lol? >>>
Definitely feelin’ tha vibe, of course… You got this shit on lock, here; nice
job, Bubb! Tha hook’s catchy as hell! Funny that tha title has “3hree” and
“7s;” oh, that birthday of one of my favorite people that can drive me crazy up
here, lol! I feel like they always be hauntin’ me on these reviewz, throughout
life, etc., lol! “Life iz a [her name] and then, you die!” It’s not a bitch,
anymore, lol! With that bein’ said, Bubb, here you are on tha 1st
verse, comin’ through wit dat successful-type shit; definitely lovin’ it!
Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, doin’ ya thang, of
course…! Like how you said, “Dat purple retawded!” Bubb, you—yeah, “[We] smell
[ya]!” Yeah, you got shit on lockdown at all
times, ya dig? My Rating: 4.6
07.
“Don’t Worry ‘Bout Me”
Well,
this and tha last one aren’t on tha CD, itself, so I’ono know this
title/producer till I hear it, I guess? >>> Had a feelin’ it was gon
be EQ on tha beat ‘cause tha intro sounded similar to “I’ma Hustle”, in a way…
Well, figurin’ that it samples The Roots & Erykah Badu’s “You Got Me”, we can
call it anything we want, from that sample? Maybe, “Don’t Worry ‘Bout Me”?
Definitely dope, here, between tha sample and tha kick-ass beat! Luv what you
bringin’ to tha 1st verse, too; definitely what you gotta go through
in tha life of a Bubb! Tha Bubb…a…!!
Almost thought it was gon be a featured dude on tha 2nd verse, fa a
sec… And, dope lil’ part about “Goin’ from 100 to 80 to a pure bitch;” exactly what just happened to tha
friends I hung out with, all year! Ugh!! Tha celeb (me) moves on…! Yeah, you right
about tha message and how they “change.” And, I see your success; I cherish it!
I know I gon give you some of mine when I keep climbin’!! My Rating: 4.8
08.
“Love & Relationships”
Goin’
right inta dis… >>> Sounds like it gon be a nice lil’ wedding-like
night out, or somethin’, wit how this beat sounds? Then again, it’s anotha
celeb feelin’… “Love & Relationships”? Leggo… Good shit wit what you
bringin’ to tha table on tha 1st verse, here… A lil’ talkin’
throughout tha hook, here… Lol, you regrettin’ all tha “relationships” and shit
like dat? Crazy… Crazy that I, like, ain’t step too far and have been able to
hold off ‘cause I wanna keep focusin’ on my career… Lol, nice job wit tha 2nd
verse and tha lifestyle of Bubba! Even got a 3rd verse, too, doin’
ya thang on this… My Rating: 4.0
Overall: Nice job, Bubb!!
Excellent job! So glad you not only keep tha music up, but keep up tha quality,
tha motivation to continue livin’ like a celeb & more! Glad I got you as
one of my top inspirations! Keep up tha grind/tha great work, my boy!!

Review #1,704: King Joe "King Almighty (Hosted by DJ Scrap)"
Reviewed on 4.21.2017 (Review #1,704)
As
I have my mornings for my old Louisiana CD reviewz, tha other parts of tha rest
of April gon be some current CD reviewz. Most of these upcoming CD reviewz gon
be tha CDs I got from artists/Way 3000. However, this first one, I downloaded
‘cause of how dude got killed, right when I got back from my vacation.
Sponsored by Dirty Dinero Band Camp, here goes my review for King Joe King Almighty (Hosted by DJ Scrap)! This my tribute video fa

“Open Dope”
>>>
Nice intro from Scrap, here; glad there was a connection… Beat kinda reminds me
of YB & Tazz’s “Broski’s” with that sound that comes every four bars…
However, this beat kinda plain… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s ehh…
I’ono how much I can feel this… Just sounds like typical, mainstream-soundin’
shit ta me… Only thang that has, like, a Louisiana
vibe fa me iz your voice… Tha hook ain’t bad; let’s continue… Hearin’ tha 2nd
verse and it sounds a lil’ betta wit how you consistently deliver it. Still,
nothin’ too special, here… My Rating: 3.4
02.
“Good Die Young” feat. Looney & Nino
>>>
I’ono, but Scrap on this intro sounds like this was made after you died.
However, this was released on March 5… I have to say, this beat’s a lil’ betta
than tha previous one… I’m feelin’ tha way tha sounds go, especially that
whistle… Hearin’ tha hook and it sounds nice… I’m not a fan of depressing songs
but this hook’s nice wit how y’all dealin’ wit shit… Hearin’ tha 1st
verse and it ain’t that bad; good job wit this… Tha 2nd verse sounds
like tha same dude who’s on tha hook, here… A decent job wit contributin’,
holdin’ it down… And, tha 3rd verse’s pretty nice, here; gangsta
shit, here… My Rating: 3.7
03.
“Nobody” feat. Looney & YB
YB!! >>> Sounds like jacked-beat shit? Tha hook can be catchy but I’ono how much I can seriously fuck wit it… If I think of it soundin’ like a jacked beat (can’t think of it, at tha moment—Future song?), then just consider that it sounds like tha same shit that’s out on tha radio, these dayz… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and I ain’t feelin’ tha voice; no need for an effect! Lack of interest, here… Keepin’ it movin’ wit YB on tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ much betta/much-more normal! Gotta luv all tha consistent rhymes! “My heart iz Sub Zero ‘cause it’s below zero;” good shit! See, if this whole entire CD had verses like YB’s verse on this, it would sound much betta! I wouldn’t mind him, no matter what tha tracks sounded like! Hearin’ tha 3rd verse and it don’t hold tha same weight as YB… Just reminds me that YB on this CD iz equivalent to how I hold my job down like no other! Almost thought my rating was gon be near tha 2.0’s, but YB saved tha vibe… Also, I remember that “back then, I was a nobody,” too! My Rating: 3.8

04.
“Problems” feat. Vis
>>>
A decent start but I yawn in my head when I hear nothin’ but “money” this,
“money” that. Like, example: YB ‘bout his money, but his incredible verse on
tha last song ain’t have “money, money, money” this; “money, money, money”
that! With that bein’ said, tha 1st verse’s ehh/not bad… Hearin’ tha
hook and it’s nice. I’ono why, but your voice on here sometimes reminds me of A
Boogie Wit Da Hoodie… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s ehh, as well;
can’t cling on too well… My Rating: 3.5
05.
“Fuck Nigga” feat. Lee Banks
>>>
Wow, this sounds like YB music, here, on tha hook/beat/vibe! Definitely much
betta than tha shit on this CD, so far! Let’s see how tha verses go… Okay, much betta from you on tha 1st
verse, here! You got tha YB flow goin’ on, here, without bullshit “money”
obsessions! Luv all tha consistency, here! Luved when I seen YB & Razy Ray
perform at tha Hookah Lounge, last month. I heard tha consistency come out in
tha rhymes, especially in Razy Ray’s appearance; shit was dope! Hearin’ tha 2nd
verse and it’s pretty nice, here; good shit from Lee Banks! Nice collab, here;
this was your golden collab! My Rating: 4.2
06.
“Fan2X” feat. NuNu James
>>>
“NuNu got tha beat…” Beat straight, I guess? Hearin’ tha 1st verse
from NuNu and it sounds betta than usual… I’m glad it ain’t borin’ me even tho
it only aight… Tha hook catchy, but decent at its finest… Hearin’ tha 2nd
verse and it’s not so bad, as well; good shit, y’all… My Rating: 3.6
½time: Mostly decent, here, but
I’m feelin’ tha collaborations more than anythang… A 3.7-rated CD, currently…
07.
“Blitz” feat. Nino & NBA Lil’ Pap
>>>
Sounds decent wit this beat and hook… Likin’ tha title part and how it repeats,
here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds like ‘90s babies gangsta
shit, here… Here comes tha 2nd verse, soundin’ decent, here, from
Nino… Hearin’ tha 3rd verse and it sounds good from this NBA dude… I
think he gon have a good future; nice 1st contribution… My Rating: 3.8
08.
“Get The Bitness” feat. Willie & Nino
>>> Sounds like a decent beat and 1st verse goin’ on, here… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ nice ta hear… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 3rd verse and it’s ehh… Nothin’ too special, here; just a contribution from Nino… My Rating: 3.5
09.
“Headshot” feat. NuNu James
>>>
Not anticipatin’ tha intro wit tha “R&B shit,” here… Yeah, you can keep
this, Scrap. Can’t say it’s awful but I don’t think it’s tha best vibe, here…
Tha hook ain’t too bad, here… Oh, rappin’ on tha 1st verse? Really
throwin’ me off, this time… Kinda yada-yada-yada… Tha rest of this goes with
tha track’s vibe, itself; can’t say too much… My Rating: 3.1
10.
“My Own” feat. J Beezy
>>> Beat’s plain but tha hook sounds nice from J Beezy, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and tha beginning reminds me of a familiar rap song’s flow… Hearin’ tha rest of tha verse and it’s decent… I’ono, nothin’ too strikin’ wit tha rhymes but tha vibe’s nice… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ decent, too; can’t complain… My Rating: 3.4
11.
“Laid Back” feat. Dice
>>>
This sounds like a betta beat, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and you
sound good wit how you comin’ through wit some of these rhymes from tha
southern hood… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s pretty nice! “Sippin’ lean, smokin’ kush;”
nice! Why it ain’t look like too many peeps were “sippin’ lean,” while I was in
BR? I ain’t see any “lean” down there… And, tha 2nd verse ain’t too
bad, here; nice collab… My Rating: 3.7
12.
“Sales” feat. J Beezy & Looney
>>>
We have a $hop With Ken beat, finally? Let’s see what’s good, here… Beat kinda
plain, tho, but let’s see how this vibe goes… Hearin’ tha hook and it sounds
like you have tha life of tha Baton
Rouge streetz, here, fa a ‘90s baby; nice… Consistent
rappin’ on tha 1st verse, here, soundin’ nice ta hear… Hearin’ tha 2nd
verse and it’s soundin’ nice ta hear, here… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse
and it sounds good, but in its own way… At times, it may not be too special for
me to appreciate but it’s still nice wit how it was delivered… My Rating: 3.6
13.
“Trap Star” feat. Looney
>>>
This ain’t too bad ta end it off… Beat ain’t too bad and tha 1st
verse sounds like you’re continuously on ya grind, as always… And, tha 2nd
verse’s pretty consistent, here; likin’ it betta than tha 1st! My Rating: 3.7
Overall: Most of this was decent;
only one track a 4.0+! Definitely needed betta-soundin’ beats than tha
typical-soundin’ shit that be out, these dayz… Some of tha content was ehh but
hey, this was a start that was ‘pose to continue into somethin’… R.I.P. King
Joe…

R.I.P. Video #54: King Joe
Broadcasting from my basement in Northeast PA, it's ya boy, FrankieThaLuckyDog here, sadly reportin' anotha tragic loss in tha Louisiana rap community...
Lenard Nicholas, known in tha rap game as King Joe, was shot and killed earlier on Saturday, April 8, 2017 in Baton Rouge, LA. Nicholas was a part of Baton Rouge, LA producer, $hop With Ken's F.Y.N.I.C. click (Forever Young Entertainment) & also, tha Dirty Dinero Band Camp. F.Y.N.I.C. released their debut CD, Forever Young Vol. 1, in 2014 on Forever Young Entertainment. Nicholas was featured on Baton Rouge, LA rapper, YB's Don't Die Wondering CD in 2017 & released his debut/only CD, King Almighty (Hosted by DJ Scrap), on March 5, 2017 with tha Dirty Dinero Gang. On April 4, Nicholas was on tha 400 block of Elmer Ave. at around 12:30 PM when a shooting broke out. According to documents, Nicholas' baby mama got into a fight with her brother, 19-year-old Willie Wilson III. Once they got into a second fight, Wilson got a handgun and began to shoot Nicholas. Once tha shooting was done, Wilson fled tha scene with tha handgun and later turned himself in to BRPD custody. According to Wilson, he told police that he shot Nicholas 'cause he feared for his life because he knew Nicholas always had a gun on him. On Wednesday morning, Wilson was booked into tha East Baton Rouge Parish Prison, being charged with attempted manslaughter and illegal use of a weapon. Nicholas, on Saturday, April 8, 2017, was pronounced dead at a local hospital after suffering a gunshot wound to tha neck; he was only 23 years-old.

Review #1,514: YB "Self Investment (Hosted by $hop With Ken)"

Feelin’
kinda outta it, after workin’ 4 AM – 2 PM & then, 7:40 PM – 12:18 AM,
yesterday. It’s almost like this day off of mine flies by… But, guess I gon
have ta enjoy it with reviewz? Got YB
up now with Self Investment (Hosted by $hop With Ken), courtesy of Self

Intro ($hop With Ken Speaks)
Let’s
hear it! >>> Wouldn’t’ve guessed it was your voice, at first, but it
sounds nice with this intro beat… My
Rating: N/A
02.
“Lord I Just Wanna Know”
I’m
also kinda outta it with my mood, right now, but I think this gon be on some
next-level shit! $hop With Ken production… >>> Yeah, definitely pure;
I can’t wait ta hear this whole entire CD!! Feelin’ tha different-than-usual
voice, here, comin’ through wit tha catchy hook ova this Baton Rouge-soundin’
beat! Pure vibes at its finest! Good shit on tha 1st verse, comin’
through wit that shit to get through life… As much as I love workin’, it’s
really ruinin’ my happiness. Like, do I need to work 49 hours a week, six dayz
a week? I have almost no time fa
nothin’!! Tha 2nd verse sounds nice, here, just like tha 1st
verse! That’s right: “Gotta eat, too!” I just helped a Baton Rouge rapper out a lil’ over a week
ago! It’s like, if I’m eatin’, they eatin’! Cold ending? No extra hook?
Nice, tho! My Rating: 4.4
03.
“Dem Hands” feat. Scotty Cain, $hop With Ken & Lil’ Juan
Yeah!
$hop With Ken & Nunu James on tha beat! >>> Yeah! We got a club
vs. street-type banga, here; good hook! Definitely feelin’ tha energetic vibe
in tha beat, here; gotta luv it!! Nice job wit tha hook, Y-Bizzle! Got tha 1st
verse goin’ on, here, comin’ through wit dat hot shit! Nice 1st ½ of
tha 1st verse from Scotty and now, Ken on tha 2nd ½ of
tha 1st verse; definitely nice! Gotta luv when he raps!! Can’t wait
fa that day when “lean” enters my life! Weed definitely took over in a nice
way! I look at music differently! Keepin’ it goin’ wit tha 2nd
verse, here, as you’re comin’ through wit dat energy! I almost thought this was
gon be a song about money, money, money, but it’s all about layin’ down “dem
hands!” Continuin’ wit tha 3rd verse from Juan, here, spittin’
consistent rhymes at its finest! Nice beat outro, here; not a cold-cold ending,
lol! My Rating: 4.7
04.
“Wake Up, Po Up”
Ken
on da beat, again! >>> “Oh!” I’m feelin’ excited fa this start, here;
can’t wait ta hear! Really slow delivery on tha 1st verse, here;
kinda sounds like today’s rappers with that slow flow… Now that tha beat kicked
in, it sounds betta wit you comin’ through wit your slizzard-type rhymes; good
shit! Tha hook sounds nice; gotta “pass out” wit dat feelin’! I ain’t get ta
dat feelin’ wit tha “drank,” yet, but I’ve definitely gotten to it wit weed,
geeb (gravity bong) hits & edibles! Tha feelin’ feels like it neva ends!
Keepin’ it goin’ wit tha 2nd verse and yeah, “You betta not spill
it;” dumb shit! “Shit’s so purple, looks like Barney took a piss in my cup!”
Gotta luv what you came up with there, YB!! Much faster with tha flow on tha 3rd
verse, here; what a flow-changin’ song right chea!! Kinda diggin’ how you
surprise me wit tha pace of tha flows on tha verses! “Whoooooooooo!! Drug
life!!” Nice ending!! My Rating: 4.6
05.
“When I Was Down” feat. Vintage Rippah & Li’ Rob
Keepin’
tha Ken productions goin’ (bet he produced tha whole entire CD)! >>> Sounds
like it gon be an excitin’ joint based off tha beginning beat… Hearin’ tha hook
and it’s pretty catchy wit this beat! “I get drugged down”? You already know!
My #01 addiction? Working!! Who works 14.91 inconsistent hours in a day,
without knowin’?! Me! Crazy shit! Got tha 1st verse, here, soundin’
nice on this catchy joint… Tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ nice, too;
definitely feelin’ this voice fa this drugged-type
shit!
”Xan barz got me up, actin’.” It’s like, who would’ve thought coffee would keep me active at work? Also, when I go to New York? Great! Tha 3rd verse’s even betta; diggin’ this fast-paced rappin’! Definitely southern at its finest, here! Luv tha rhymin’ letters! Tha “B.o.B.” shit with “Grand Hustle” and all those letters definitely nice!! My Rating: 4.3

Skit 1 (Durty South E Speaks)
Even
this skit’s produced by Ken, too! >>> Nice lil’ background music with
this on-tha-air-like broadcast! Yeah, this shit’s definitely nice! “Steaming hot bowel movement;” holy!! “We got
ammunition fa yo ass and yo asshole!” LOL! Gotta luv it! I talk like that, too;
instant shit!! My Rating: N/A
07.
“Run Up A Check”
Kentacular!
>>> “Forever Young!” F.Y.N.I.C.! I don’t really go for these kinda
songs, so we’ll see how this goes… I’m really likin’ tha beat intro and how
you’re comin’ through on tha intro… Yeah, tha hook’s kinda ehh, but I’m feelin’
it! It’s sad how I’m like this with my job! I neva felt like I was working for
a “check,” but it seems like I’m addicted ta takin’ care of my job! It’s like,
they don’t give me hours ‘cause of a “check!” They give me hours ‘cause we’re
short-handed! With that bein’ said, it sounds like a lotta yada-yada,
random-like rappin’ on tha 1st verse, here; I’ve heard betta… Shit,
a ton of rappin’ on tha 2nd verse, here… It’s like, what’s goin’ on,
lol? My Rating: 4.0

“Birthplace”
I
remember this one! Kentastic!! Reviewed tha previous CD, Dedication Of Honor, last year, on July 29; this falls on August 1,
2016! Here goes that previous review:
“Really
hot beat intro, despite bein’ very
influenced by DJ Mustard (e.g., “Left, Right” by YG)… Wow, this really sounds
like that song and “Thinkin’ With My Dick” (Kevin Gates & Juicy J) on tha
hook, but it’s original production from Ken! Really diggin’ tha hook and this
sounds catchy, just like a great 1st single from this CD! Hearin’
tha 1st verse from you and it’s consistent with how you do it on tha
beat! I can tolerate this “ass-shakin’” anthem and even tha money shit on tha
hook! Damn @ tha 2nd verse; you don’t stop!! Just really diggin’
this anthem!! Nice job wit that bridge, or 3rd verse—whateva you
wanna call it! Got a lot ta offer, here! And, nice beat outro ta end it off!
Could possibly be somethin’ I consider for an add on my playlist? I’ono… We’ll
see what mood I’m in, despite me fallin’ off from Louisiana, lately…”
This
missed bein’ an add with me, last year. That’s prolly ‘cause I was too focused
on lil’ girls at my job with “starting breaks,” avoiding a bunch of Louisiana artists,
buyin’ co-workers cars & all that bullshit, smh! Louisiana’ll always be in tha veins!!! My
Current Rating: 4.8
09.
“Reppin’ Like You Steppin’” feat. Scotty Cain, Lee Banks & Li’ Rob
“Steppin’”
down from Ken’s production with a Vintage Rippah one, here… >>> Not
diggin’ tha beat tag outta nowhere, but it’s a nice lil’ beat fa this… This
sounds like some nice lil’ undaground shit fa Baton Rouge, here… I’m feelin’ how you’re
comin’ through on tha hook wit that dumb shit—dat street shit! Here you are on
tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit consistent rhymin’!! Definitely
some nice shit; really feelin’ tha flow of rhymin’ way more than “Run Up A
Check”! Holy, crazy beat sounds
before tha 2nd hook!! Very consistent; marry tha beat!! Tha 2nd
verse iz comin’ from Scotty Cain, here, comin’ through wit dat consistent
rappin’ fa tha Rouge; definitely nice ova this beat! Great shit from Lee Banks
on tha 3rd verse, here, comin’ through wit dat G-shit at its
finest!! Definitely feelin’ him to tha max when tha beat goes nuts, before tha
verse ends!! Here comes a 4th verse, here, from Rob, comin’ through
wit some paranoid-type shit. “Stayin’ in tha house;” I used ta be like dat but
now, I need ta get out! It’s almost
like why these reviewz are delayed a lil’… Either way, definitely some dumb
shit to tha max, here!! My Rating: 4.6
10.
“Broski’s” feat. Tazz
First
time seein’ this as a title, includin’ with an apostrophe. I usually don’t
spell plural forms of words with apostrophes, but I’ll let this one slide, for
now… Ken on da beat! >>> Really slow start, but I’m really feelin’ tha
bass in this beat, this time! Really lovin’ hoooooooooow
yoooooooooou delivvvvvvvvvvver tha hook, especially that title! Yeah,
definitely diggin’ this title/tha word, “Broski!” Definitely an excellent hook;
you easily pass any test!! Here you
are on tha 1st verse, comin’ through wit some nice shit, wit patnaz
always holdin’ it down fa each other… Unfortunately, I don’t believe in any of
dat ‘cause no1 really has my back like I have others’… It’ll prolly be like
that till tha day I die, but I learned one thing: I tried ta make money off
this music shit but instead, I gon be payin’ my favorite artists, instead! I
feel like they deserve rewards! Not just awards,
but rewards! Thought I would feel tha
Tazz dude a lil’ more on tha 2nd verse, here, but he reminds me way
too much of Ty Dolla $ign with how he sounds/delivers/sings his rhymes… Either
way, can’t complain about this joint, overall… Kinda sucks how this gon rank
way behind a bunch of jointz on here… Kinda long, overall? Ain’t thank it was
gon be 4:53! My Rating: 4.3
11.
“Dirty Dinero”
Lots
of jointz on this tape!! Ken got anotha one!! >>> What can I say, so
far…? Hmm… It sounds like you got tha energy on this one; definitely nice wit
how you comin’ wit it! Definitely diggin’ this catchy hook! It may be about
money but this heavy bass and how you say tha title’s definitely catchin’ on
wit me! Lots of random rappin’ on tha 2nd verse, here, like tha “Run
Up A Check” joint… My Rating: 4.1
½time: This tape’s definitely got a ton of heat on it, just
like I expected!! Tha beats are pure;
tha rhymes are definitely nice; tha
collabz are definitely sick!! What
more can I say?! A 4.4-rated CD, so far; gotta luv it!! Keep this
shit goin’!! Anotha 12 jointz!!
12.
“Yungin Fasho” feat. $hop With Ken
Can’t
wait ta hear, as always! Kentastic!! >>> A Ken intro/straight to tha 1st
verse, here; gotta luv it! Tha beat’s pretty nice and yeah, gotta luv Ken’s
“diamonds in [his] teeth!” I used his teeth—well, anyone’s—as an expression to
describe how I feel about when people hate/get jealous of me at my job! Tha
hook sounds nice from YB; good shit! Keepin’ it goin’ wit tha 2nd
verse, here… Ehh, kinda random like tha last song’s rhymin’; I expected betta…
Ken gets tha crown on this one; definitely nice, especially comin’ through on
tha 1st and not 2nd verse… A beat outro, here, as well as
a siren…; nice! My Rating: 4.0
13.
Skit 2 (Durty South E Speaks)
Anotha
Ken production! Anotha skit!! >>> A fast beat start before tha radio
announcement comes through… Damn! A 4:02-length skit? Still, it sounds nice ta
hear… Beat kinda sounds like a Jeezy-type beat in tha background; nice… I’ont
get how dudes, like one of my boyz, can just make out wit one chick from NY
that he neva met, but people won’t buy my CD on tha spot? I’ont get it? “Smells
like asshole;” of course, who don’t like tha smell of shit? I do!! My pre-weed
since 13!! Wonder what was reversed? I can check it, but I’ont feel like
checkin’ it, at tha moment… My Rating:
N/A
14.
“1 Call Away” feat. Aerie
I
have a feelin’ this gon be my least-favorite track on here… Was thinkin’ it was
gon be a Charlie Puth remake, but there’s Ken on tha beat, so there could be a
chance… >>> Beat’s real hot, here, with these sounds outta nowhere…
Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s semi-random with tha rappin’,
but it sounds good ta hear! I’ono if I can feel this hook, but it’s not bad;
kinda sounds like a random chick… Almost thought it was Dat Boy A’s chick…
Aerie even has a verse on tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through, just
keepin’ tha vibe goin’… I prolly would’ve rather her just be on tha hook and
you have anotha verse, Y-Bizzle; kinda draggin’… My Rating: 3.8
15.
“Flexico City”
!
! ! ! ! K E N ! ! ! ! ! >>> A shorter joint, here, with 2:39 on tha
length! Tha beat sounds pretty nice and you’re comin’ through wit some nice
shit on tha 1st verse! You’ll go down in history as one of my
younginz! I’m five years older than you and I’ve been followin’ you since day
1; that ain’t gon change! Tha hook sounds pretty nice and regular for a hook
about gunz. I honestly thought it was gon be about flexin’ err-where, lol… Beat kinda went in tha background and there
was only one verse… I’m likin’ how this was set up, altogether; nice! My Rating: 4.0
16.
“Fugazi” feat. Razy Ray
More
Ken heat!! >>> This sounds like a catchy one; think you got a winna,
here! Definitely diggin’ tha hook, as well as tha how you deliver it! Nice,
deep-soundin’ southern beat!! Nice job wit tha 1st verse, here,
Bizzle! Now, we got a new dude, here (Razy Ray), comin’ through, feelin’ like
tha next fresh boy out there… We’ll have to see how his career gon go; this a
nice start, tho! My Rating: 4.2
17.
“What’s Your Purpose”
No features and produced by Prince GT… >>> Beat sounds like a regular southern-type beat, here… Tha hook ain’t too bad; I’m kinda diggin’ this title and how this sounds… Let’s see how we gon do on tha verses… Here’s tha 1st verse and one of those sound effects once tha verse started sounded familiar… Wow, this was a short joint; not bad… My Rating: 3.9

“Go Hard”
Continuin’!!
Back to dem Ken onez!! >>> Sounds like a catchy joint, here, with this
beat from Ken! Nice beginning, here! I’m diggin’ this hook; you definitely sound like a nice influence ta make artists “go
hard!” Good shit; definitely diggin’ tha hook, Bizzle! Tha 1st verse
sounds nice, here, as you’re consistently deliverin’ some rhymes, here; good
shit! And now, you got tha fast rappin’ goin’ on with tha 2nd verse;
I’ono, but I’ll give it credit, this time! My
Rating: 4.3
19.
“We Good”
Kentacular!!
>>> Kinda sounds interesting with this beat start, here; let’s see
what gon come outta this one… Tha rhymes from you on tha 1st verse
sounds nice; feelin’ tha real-life-type shit on this kinda beat… Tha hook ain’t
too bad, here… Yeah, fuck tha “labels;” gotta get it out tha mud! Tha 2nd
verse’s soundin’ nice, too; gotta keep it real! My Rating: 4.1
20.
“Mind Games” feat. Blue Black
Tha
other “Blue Black”, here (not “BluBlack” from Gardere, I don’t think), with Ken
on tha beat… >>> Kinda sounds like some older music in tha beginning;
how will y’all do? A decent hook, here, with a decent beat… I’m surprised that
I like tha “1 Call Away” betta than this, so far… Hearin’ you on tha 1st
verse and I’m diggin’ all your rhymes, here; gotta lay it down! Hearin’ this 2nd
verse from this Blue Black dude and it doesn’t even sound like either Blue
Black? Maybe it’s ‘cause I ain’t hear that Blue Black dude in a long while…
I’ll consider Blue Black tha same dude as that Lit BlueBlack dude I heard, back
five years ago, or so… It was a decent verse, though I feel bored… My Rating: 3.7
21.
“RN$” feat. Que Tha Truth
I
think he “Tha”, like me, not “The”. But, Kenville!! >>> Beat sounds
nice and chill, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and here you are,
spittin’ some rhymes, soundin’ a lil’ random wit tha flow of tha rhymes… Tha
hook’s simple and plain; decent… Hearin’ Tha Truth on tha 2nd verse,
here, comin’ through wit a nice-soundin’ voice on this one; good shit, so far…
Yeah, gotta rock dem “Polo boxers;” hate when rappers be on dat Wal-Mart-type
Hanes, Fruit of the Loom, regular-store-sellin’ boxers; fuck dat! I only fuck
wit celebrities!! Nice verse, overall; good, chill shit… My Rating: 3.9
22.
“Murder 187” feat. Doonie
I’m
pretty sure I know this one, right before I got my job… *Checks…* Yeah, I was
right. What I said, previously:
“Pretty
nice; I saw a pic of Doonie & Ken in tha studio, recently. Anyway, I’m
diggin’ tha hook; good shit from YB on tha 1st verse, comin’ through
consistently about this “187”-type shit. Now, let’s hear tha 2nd
verse from Doonie, here… Sounds pretty nice, so far… I know he branchin’ his
reputation wit dat Heartfelt CD, but
this sounds like Doonie deep in dat undaground, tha way I first heard about him
over [eight] years ago—it was [eight] years on February 23!”
Dumb
shit!! My Current Rating: 4.5
23.
Outro (YB Speaks)
No
producer this time, lol? Let’s hear what you got ta say for tha ending…
>>> Still keep fa’gettin’ this only your “2nd solo
project;” feels like you dropped so many! What about a shout out ta me? Can’t
fa’get about me! Either way, nice way ta end this fa a “Self Investment!” My Rating:
N/A
Overall: Tha 1st ½ of
this was pretty dope, as I was lovin’ each and every track. Tha 2nd
½ of it started to get a lil’ decent and had a bunch of shit that sounded
random ta hear, on tha flows and shit. However, this definitely turned out ta
be consistent and some great shit ta enjoy! Nice job, YB! Classic dude! Keep
shittin’ on ‘em!!
