Review #1,027: Jason Lyric "The Whole Truth"

Reviewed on 7.10.2011 (Review #1,027)

My next review for today iz Jason Lyric “The Whole Truth”. Start Time: 2:13 PM | End Time: 2:40 PM

Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

© 2011 CD Review (Review #1,027) reviewed on 7.10.2011 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. “Intro – I Do It”
Production by Y.E. Beatz, here. >>> Good intro, here. As far as tha actual song, it sounds like a catchy beat and some catchiness in tha hook wit this simple title/delivery of tha title. I’m feelin’ tha rhymes goin’ on, here, too; seems like you’re on a non-stop grind fa some gold! My Rating: 4.0

02. “Bullet In My Head” Feat. The Show
I like this title. Plus, The Show’s a feature so you know this should be somethin’ serious!! >>> Jontan David beat, here, which sounds good for a current, New Orleans-type joint. Tha hook sounds pretty nice and catchy, too; sounds like a nice lil’ joint before I could even hear tha rhymes, lol… Hearin’ tha rhymes, now, and tha slow flow, here, sounds nice wit tha great rhymes, at times! Show sounds good wit his catchy rhymes; they just keep goin’ and goin’ and goin’, lol! Wasn’t sure if a 3rd verse would be here but it’s you and it’s somewhat-good, too; was hoping to get some luck wit a ½ verse from Show, too… My Rating: 4.2

03. “Zone Out”
Same producer fa this song, too; what do we got here? >>> I have anticipation fa dis; let’s see if it’s worth bein’ a “single.” Well, I like tha faster BPMs, here; definitely grabbin’ my attention fa interest, here! Good job wit tha rhymes and tha hook’s pretty catchy, too; call this a winner! My Rating: 4.3

04. “I’m Paid” Feat. Pimpin’ Magnolia
A beat from Legit, here. >>> LOL, ain’t this funny? A Lil’ Wayne sample wit him havin’, like, food in his mouth iz entertainin’ ta hear! :rofl Tha rhymes are even somethin’ catchy, too; good job wit this collaboration! My Rating: 4.2

05. “Lights, Camera, Action” Feat. Joey Queans
Same producer again? LOL, good job wit these double combos? >>> Yup! Likin’ tha production, here; tha hook sounds like somethin’ good, too! Yes, some gangsta shit goin’ on, here; really feelin’ tha perspective fa tha streetz! Nice job fa gettin’ Mr. Queans on tha feature; good shit, although, why did it go out, or somethin’, when he said, “Rock N [?] beard.”? My Rating: 4.1

06. “It’s Alright”
More Legit productions… >>> Maybe three-in-a-row was too much; not too crazy ‘bout tha semi-soft, mainstream feel, here… Well, even though tha hook’s a lil’ smooth wit tha voice delivery and combination of tha production, I’m kinda likin’ it a lil’ bit… My Rating: 3.4

07. “Amped Up”
Ooh, 2 Saint beat! >>> An intro, here; good, as well as tha beat start remindin’ me of Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em “Let Me Get ‘Em”’s start. Sounds like you can fit wit Max Minelli wit how you sound on this, too, includin’ tha title bein’ one of his, too! Feelin’ tha way you continue ta come through wit this good-soundin’ content; nothin’ too boring about tha lyrics, too… My Rating: 4.1

08. “Pay Your Dues” Feat. C-Murder
2 Saint, again! >>> Oh, resurrection from 2009, a lil’ bit? Glad it’s an original version, though; guess this iz Ponchatoula (borderline of Baton Rouge sound) vs. New Orleans, here, since I first heard this as Lil’ Cali’s 2009 song from his “Cold Summer” CD. As far as this version, cool ta hear tha lady on tha hook, again (Pennie? If her, hope she ain’t unsourced). C-Murder sounds pretty nice on tha 1st verse; good for a Louisiana vs. Louisiana song! LOL, you sound like Max Minelli on tha 2nd verse; I see a future wit him, too. Nice job, overall, ya dig? An outro from Bengie B, too; good shit! My Rating: 4.3

½time: This iz a pretty-good CD, overall; thought I’d be disappointed but this iz some nice, consistent shit!! Currently, you’re at a 4.1 for tha CD rating!

09. “On Beam”
DJ Dyber on tha beat, here; how will it go? >>> Sounds like a cool anthem wit tha hook and beat; good job fa feelin’ good wit what you be goin’ through on a daily basis, Rap style! My Rating: 3.9

10. “My Last Name” Feat. M11
What this gon be about? No producer listed; jacked beat? >>> Doesn’t exactly sound like one but I like this theme about “givin’ someone [your] last name!” Sounds like tha lyrics are somethin’ serious and consistent! Pretty-good combo, overall, although tha hook’s slowly becomin’ kinda mainstreamish, for me, wit tha vocals… My Rating: 3.8

11. “Wonderful Life” Feat. Shawt Fella
Added “Fella” to Shawt’s name? He goes by a two-word name, now? Anyway, Y.E. Beatz, this time, wit tha production. >>> Sounds like what could be a good, mainstream song, based off its sound. I’m likin’ tha 2nd verse betta than tha 1st verse; sounds like some consistent shit comin’ from Shawt, here! My Rating: 3.8

12. “Woman”
Ben Rosen be—oh, I remember not goin’ for this when I heard it on a mixtape, previously; sorry. Then again, it’s a lil’ betta than 1.4. Once again, way too Pop for me; not a fan of this stupid-ass 2010s generation of mainstream music! My Current Rating: 1.9

13. “In This World”
Legit on tha beat, here. >>> An okay/good song; sounds catchy wit tha hook wit tha “in thi—in this world” part. My Rating: 3.7

14. “Get It Poppin’”
Y.E. Beatz doin’ tha beat, this time. >>> This goes wit “Woman” but this iz betta wit tha production and tha rhymes ain’t too bad, either. My Rating: 2.6

15. “She Know It”
Anotha Y.E. beat, here. >>> Sounds catchy wit tha hook, as well; I like how tha production iz, too. This has a good mainstream feel to it, too, which should sound good in futures, too. My Rating: 3.8

16. “Watch Me Stunt” Feat. Lady Karma & Y Luck
Mathematics on tha beat? LOL, what a simple name; let’s see what dis gon be like for an ending song… >>> Catchy wit tha screwed-soundin’ hook. Lady emergin’ on tha 1st verse, soundin’ like she’s readin’ somethin’, but in a catchy way, lol. Tha 2nd verse sounds consistent wit tha rhymes; nice shit… Tha 3rd verse iz good, too; seems like you have some catchy shit ta offer on this joint, too. My Rating: 3.8

Overall: Betta than I thought, especially when “Woman” was one of tha 1st songs I heard! Excluding #6, all of tha 1st ½ was 4.0 or higher; all of tha 2nd ½ was under 4.0. Unexpected, but at least tha 1st ½ was tha peak for me.

Rankings:

16.       “Woman” 1.9
15.       “Get It Poppin’” 2.6
14.       “It’s Alright” 3.4

01. Happy Groundhog Day

LOL; gotta like dis title! >>> Ooh, KLC on tha intro, here; thumbs up! Even though it’s March 2011, now, it still feels like “Groundhog Day” wit tha weather, since there’s still snow on tha ground! At about :39, tha song’s startin’, and this quiet beat sounds good. SMH, we were ‘pose ta get six early weeks of Spring, but it’s fuckin’ cold, right now, and it’s Spring! LOL, I thought this was gonna be a song wit its 2:57 length but it’s mainly just an intro; good job wit this, though. LOL, tha last 46 seconds sounds like Mardi Gras music, lol; nice combo! My Rating: N/A

02. “Hit Me”

Let’s hear it! >>> For some reason, I feel like my anticipation’s increasin’, tha more seconds go by! Ooh, feelin’ these consistent rhymes from you, Calicoe!! Really like your character and how you deliver these rhymes! LOL @ tha “frog” and “ribbit” part; you a crazy dude, Calicoe!!! Overall, thumbs up fa dis shit; definitely a nice 1st song fa this mixtape and shout out ta “Beats By The Pound,” too! My Rating: 4.5

03. Skit

>>> LOL, how quick! Interestin’ and random! My Rating: N/A

04. “Ain’t Gotta Chance”

>>> Ooh, I hear an Electronica—or betta yet, it’s tha Gorillaz on tha beat, lol, no less, tha song was originally called “Dirty Harry”, rofl! Thought I wasn’t gonna pay attention ta dis too much but because I know tha beat, even though tha original hook’s in it, I give this a plus. Definitely thumbs up ta tha rhymes and thumbs up ta tha “blunt” part afta tha 1st verse! You even got tha 2nd verse on lock wit tha street rhymes; definitely feelin’ this, N.O./real-life style! My Rating: 4.2

05. “Show Yo Titts”

A “tits” song!!! >>> Yea, this iz pretty anticipatin’ in tha beginning wit tha hook! LOL, here you are on tha 1st verse but it sounds a lil’ low on your vocals? Not bad wit how you came through on tha verse but it’s all about dat hook, lol! Wish I could hear you betta but it’s still good ‘cause I can still hear your character in dis! My Rating: 4.3

06. “Deep N Da South” Feat. Dirty Harry & Co Candy

Good title… >>> Ooh, you shouted out “Dirty Harry” on this? He must be featured on here? Ooh, feelin’ how you comin’ through on tha 1st verse; nothin’ but dat quality street shit!!! Tha hook sounds good wit dis sample; definitely interestin’ chemistry goin’ on wit dis track, here!! LOL, Dirty Harry iz on tha 2nd verse, and he’s comin’ through wit some real-ass tight shit!!! Real glad he represents for tha streets as much as you, Calicoe! Tha 3rd verse sounds like a jacked flow or somethin’? I think it’s catchy; iz this someone else on tha 3rd verse? I see Co Candy on tha back cover? It’s kinda small and hard ta read… My Rating: 4.6

07. “Day Dream”

>>> This iz bleh for me; do I need ta hear anything on this beat? Bleh @ tha original hook… Tha rhymes are good, of course, but not a good blend fa me. My Rating: 3.3

08. “Reppin’ My Block” Feat. Corner Boy P

LOL, “reepin’”? Spelled wrong, I assume? >>> I always liked dis Sean P (Youngbloodz) sample on tha hook; good beat choice, too. Tha 1st verse from Corner Boy P sounds nice; good shit! You’re on tha 2nd verse and it sounds betta, here; good shit, Calicoe! Keep these rhymes and catchy flow comin’ along!! My Rating: 4.2

09. “Ridin’ Thru ATL”

>>> Anotha good beat wit anotha “ATL” artist on tha sample/hook. Tha way you explained your situation wit goin’ ta “Atlanta” makes sense, thanx ta dat stupid Katrina! My Rating: 3.8

10. “Dreams”

>>> Thought I wouldn’t be anticipated fa dis but this iz pretty hot wit tha production and your catchy “one day” shit; gotta luv you, Calicoe!!! Nothin’ but some addictive music, thanx ta your catchy flow!! My Rating: 4.4

11. “Welcome 2 Da Ghetto”

>>> Scary start but it makes sense fa tha vibe, N.O. style. Here you are wit tha only verse on tha track, comin’ through wit some street-ass shit!! Definitely feelin’ it; glad you keepin’ your character in play while rappin’ dis tight shit! My Rating: 4.2

12. “Play It Loud” (KLC Feat. Fiend & Calicoe The Champ)

Interestin’ collaboration; let’s see dis! >>> Ooh, really feelin’ dis G-Funk-soundin’ beat, here!!! Definitely good ta have dis style, includin’ KLC ta be tha main artist! Definitely kick-ass to tha fullest!!! Fiend’s on tha 2nd verse and shit yea, have ta have dis gutta-ass, grimy-ass voice and delivery!! LOL, you’re on tha 3rd verse, comin’ through wit some tight shit! Surprisingly, tha other two were betta than you, on here, but you definitely keep shit entertainin’, here, ya dig?!? My Rating: 4.8

½time:
I’m really likin’ dis CD; I give you mega props on dis shit right chea!! Currently, a 4.2-rated CD; can you keep dis shit up?!?

13. “Complex Occupation” Feat. Byou2ful

>>> Sounds like Erykah Badu in tha beginning/hook; not bad… Ooh, when you come on tha track, it sounds good, especially wit dis beat! Definitely glad you’re motivated, to tha fullest! Throughout this whole song, you keepin’ tha street shit on ‘n’ poppin’!! Byou2ful sounds good later on, too. My Rating: 4.0

14. “Who???”

Ooh, an attitude in tha title; lemme hear! >>> Shit yea, a Biggie sample on tha hook and it sounds real tight fa you, Calicoe! Shit yea, you comin’ through on tha 1st verse wit some tight-ass shit; definite thumbs up!!! How much more street shit can I handle from you? Keep shootin’ it up in me, bruh, lol!! You even have a lil’ bit of a Nu$$ie feel wit how you’re deliverin’ shit, here, too! My Rating: 4.5

15. “Get A Lil’” Feat. Athena

>>> Sounds a lil’ like a Lil’ Wayne or somethin’, here; pretty good, overall. Tha hook sounds much betta wit this upbeat sound and what you got goin’ on, here! What does dis Athena girl got ta offer? Okay, I’m feelin’ what she’s got, includin’ her voice. My Rating: 4.1

16. “No Place Like Home” (KLC Feat. Mannie Fresh)

Ooh, this looks like it gon be a big one!! >>> Definitely a nice beat start fa tha 504! LOL, neva-endin’ intro? KLC sounds good on dis shit; glad he has a good attitude, not givin’ a fuuuuuck, lol! Definitely feelin’ tha rhymes!! Tha hook’s really what’s up; a huge 504 anthem!!! Even Mannie Fresh comin’ through wit some tight shit, too, on tha 2nd verse; good shit ta be known fa tha ’10!! Of course, there had ta be more shit on tha 3rd verse from KLC; definite plus!! LOL, “show dem tits;” nice and demandin’! My Rating: 4.7

17. “Diamonds R Wreckless” Feat. Corner Boy P

Lookin’ forward ta hearin’ dis!! >>> It somewhat sounds like “In The Hood” wit tha beat and hook; interestin’ beat choice. Really likin’ tha start to tha 1st verse; real gutta between Corner Boy on tha verse and you, too! Definitely feelin’ all these alternations!! That’s a whoppin’ 16 ½ bars from tha both of y’all!! ROFL, tight shit comin’ outta tha 2nd verse, too; y’all definitely got tha formula on ‘n’ poppin’ wit this back-ta-back alternations between each other!!! My Rating: 4.6

18. “Gangstafied” Feat. KLC, Mo B Dick, J.Hu$tle, Slim Reep & Byou2ful

I rememba dis; I knew it looked familiar! This was on my boy J.Hu$tle’s “Gorilla Hustle (Da Mixtape)” mixtape! Real glad J.Hu$tle’s still on tha song! Oh, that’s him on tha back cover (A.J.); I sometimes forget that’s his alias. What I originally said about dis song: Okay, I’m likin’ this smooth sound! Jacked beat or not: pretty good ‘90s feel, here! Tha 1st verse sounds consistent wit tha rappin’; glad tha features can help you out, here! LOL, you’re on tha 2nd verse, Calicoe, doin’ ya thang! You got dat voice ta hold thangz down! Likin’ your “got coke, crack, weed,” etc. line! Even though this iz kinda long, this iz a good radio song fa me. Almost good as if it was a flashback; tha features would be a main reason! I try to get as many people on tha show as possible! Sounds like J.Hu$tle on tha 3rd verse, here; feelin’ how tha verse’s bein’ delivered, once again! My Current Rating: 4.4

19. “Dope Money” Feat. Shawt

20. “Welcome 2 Da South”

Looks like tha otha “South” song; we’ll see which one’s betta… >>> Good shit, once again; always glad ta hear Southern hooks like dis! Very consistent wit tha punchlines, Calicoe; definitely feelin’ ‘em!! Glad you holdin’ down tha “South”/New Orleans down!!! My Rating: 4.2

21. “Dog” Feat. Slim Reep

Dat Reep dude’s on here, again! Lookin’ forward ta hearin’ wit dis title! >>> Damn, this definitely’s hot!! Likin’ tha “dog” barks as well as tha tight beat and what you got goin’ on here as far as street content! I can picture a house; glad you puttin’ pictures in my head! Tha hook’s definitely A+ when it comes ta catchy shit!!! Can’t deny dis shit!! Slim Reep’s on tha 2nd verse, soundin’ like tha tight-ass ‘90s shit from Louisiana!! Real nice collaboration, ya dig?!? My Rating: 4.8

22. “Stuntin’ Iz A Habit” Feat. Corner Boy P

Too many “t” and “b”s in tha title, lol. Lookin’ forward ta hearin’ dis one, too! >>> Yup, this iz nice wit tha hook and beat! Corner Boy P comin’ through, nicely, fa you on tha 1st verse! Damn, “kush in tha jar;” consistentness!!! You’re on tha 2nd verse—can’t deny dis shit!! Your flow iz definitely on ‘n’ poppin’!! Can’t get enough of Calicoe The Champ!!!! My Rating: 4.5

Definitely some tight-ass shit!! “Bring ya own weed;” lol, Calicoe reservations!!! Gotta really feel it!!! Nesby’s rappin’ on tha 2nd verse? I dunno if this tha 1st or 2nd time I’m hearin’ him rap but he sounds good wit you, Calicoe; nice collab! My Rating: 4.4

Review #882: Jimi Burke "Top 5: Dead Or Alive Vol. 5"

Reviewed on 3.23.2011 (Review #882)

My next review for today iz from 2009; Jimi Burke “Top 5: Dead Or Alive Vol. 5”; how will it go? For some reason, I guess ‘cause there’s 26 songs on here and I only know him off of one, I don’t think I’ll be anticipated fa dis. Start Time: 11:59 AM | End Time: 12:27 PM

Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! 01. “Top 5: Dead Or Alive”
>>> Actually, tha beat you chose to rap on, here, sounds nice wit tha Jadakiss sample. Tha rhymes are good, here; thumbs up ta you doin’ a nice job on a track like dis. My Rating: 4.1

02. “Murderer”
>>> A lil’ thumbs down fa Rihanna bein’ on this and tha sample. Tha rappin’ ain’t too bad… Deduction for Rihanna’s chorus bein’ in this. My Rating: 2.5

03. “Birds Flyin’ High” Feat. Spi
>>> Horrible intro wit tha gay sample/beat. I don’t have much ta say about dis… My Rating: 2.3

04. “Our Love Song” Feat. K-Wish
>>> I prolly won’t last more than 30 seconds wit dis; pathetic start. You sound a lil’ betta on dis but tha song, overall, ain’t betta than tha previous two, smh. My Rating: 2.0

05. “She Fine”
>>> Gucci Mane gets me a lil’ scared ta hear dis… Dis iz betta than tha last three songs, although some of tha shit spit, here, sounds gay. My Rating: 2.6

06. “My Type” Feat. Keyz
>>> Beat sounds betta… or does it? Neva mind, forget I said dat ‘cause tha beginning’s hella gay. You’re decent wit what you’re comin’ wit… My Rating: 1.4

07. “Drop Dat (Whoop Da Dee Dupe)”
>>> This iz more normal, finally. Some of tha lyrics are gay fa me, here, but overall, a lil’ betta… My Rating: 3.0

08. “I See U Hatin’” Feat. Shawt
>>> Thought I’d be pretty unanticipated for tha beginning but this iz betta; thumbs up fa Shawt helpin’ you out, especially on this pretty-good hook. Tha 2nd verse has gay lyrics, so dat’s a deduction, smh; you can’t get a lead? My Rating: 3.2

09. “Do My Lil’ Dance” Feat. Wodie
>>> Wodie beat; familiar hook? Thought I just heard dis? Yea, only wit different featured artists. Even though this sounds a lil’ betta, I didn’t rate it too high ‘cause I’m not big about tha “dancin’” songs… My Rating: 2.8

10. “I Do This” Feat. Lil’ Lou
A longer length? >>> Ugh, a Rock beat? Really not likin’ tha beat sound; what are we in 2007? It’s not “Party Like A Rockstar” dayz, smh. Not bad wit tha rappin’… My Rating: 2.6

11. “Yes We Can”
>>> SMDH @ tha Obama beginning!!! Aren’t you ROFL by now wit him? I guess by last year, he sounds a lil’ outdated. Either way, I think it’s cheesy ‘cause this iz so stereotypical to what people like. My Rating: 2.7

12. “Be True”
>>> LOL @ tha really short songs, all of a sudden. Tha beat’s betta, here, and you have betta rhymes, too. My Rating: 3.3

13. “Let’s Talk About It”
>>> Not really likin’ tha intro but I do like tha beat start, a lil’. Tha hook ain’t too bad…; sounds like you have some listenable rhymes, here. My Rating: 3.1

½time: I was right: only a 2.7-rated CD, currently.

14. “Body Bag”
>>> I knew this sounded like a jacked beat; a lil’ too familiar for me ta take serious. At least this content’s a lil’ betta… My Rating: 2.8

15. “16 Zones”
Anotha snippet afta tha “Yes We Can”. >>> Betta rappin’ wit tha rapid rhymes; good job. My Rating: 3.5

16. “Yeah”
Anotha snippet, lol? >>> I guess tha snippets are good ‘cause this iz pretty good, too. My Rating: 3.4

17. “I Be Hustlin’”
>>> LOL @ this song and this topic; I like how you handle tha hook. LOL @ tha cliché lines in tha beginning of tha 1st verse; anymore cliché shit you got, lol? Good rhymes, acceptable song. My Rating: 3.1

18. “Urban Decay”
Snippet. >>> What’s wit tha fade-in intro? Guess it was ‘cause it’s a ‘snippet’? Just like tha otha snippets, this iz good wit tha content and rhymes. My Rating: 3.3

19. “Ain’t Nobody”
Anotha snippet, lol? >>> ROFL @ tha Lil’ Wayne “I’m Me” sample; I can only rofl… You said you “got Lil’ One Da Ryder” on dis? I guess maybe in tha full version but good connection. As far as tha song, sounds good wit your anger/attitude. My Rating: 3.7

20. “Underrated” Feat. Na’Tee
Good collaboration and not a snippet, lol. >>> Tha hook’s nice, as well as this beat; finally, a hot song from you. You doin’ a nice job wit these rhymes, keepin’ it consistent! Na’Tee sounds good although she’s betta, now, lol. My Rating: 3.9

21. “Outta This World” Feat. T-Doe
>>> Time ta go backwards, smh. This ain’t as bad as some of tha shit on here. Also, your rhymes are pretty good, too. Wit tha T-Doe dude, sounds like he fits wit you as far as a connection; not bad… My Rating: 2.8

22. “It’s On U” Feat. Na’Tee
Anotha collab wit Na’Tee! >>> Ooh, I’m likin’ tha fast, Hurricane Chris-type vibe, here! Definitely a plus from Na’Tee on tha hook, as well as you joinin’, too! She sounds good on tha 1st verse; kickin’ ass to tha fullest, lol! LOL, gotta luv how she said, “shiiid.” :tu You sound good wit your club-related rhymes, here; thumbs up. My Rating: 4.2

23. “Can’t Get U Out My Mind” Feat. Keyz
>>> Wodie doin’ tha beat. Tha hook ain’t for me wit how it sounds; you’re aight wit what you got goin’ on, here. My Rating: 2.7

24. “Rewind My Heart”
>>> Yucky sample goin’ on here…; nothin’ interestin’ fa me. My Rating: 1.8

25. “Find A Way Out” Feat. Phil & Wodie
“Away” iz two words, smh. >>> Wodie beat; likin’ tha singin’ goin’ on in tha hook although not tha gay voice sample outta nowhere. This ain’t too bad for a song, overall; Wodie collaboratin’ on tha rappin’s a good idea, too. My Rating: 3.6

26. “By Ur Side” Feat. Roc Hard
>>> Endin’ it wit an original production from Wodie; let’s see what y’all got here… Tha hook’s good, for tha homies. Tha rhymes are decent fa me… LOL @ all this ‘luv’ fa tha homies; I’m slowly experiencin’ this, but I still think it’s odd ta hear all dis ‘luv’. Good collaboration wit Roc Hard, too; there’s a lot of y’all out there in tha Rap world, which iz somewhat-good. My Rating: 3.3

Overall: Shitty beginning but started ta get good/decent durin’ tha 2nd ½…

Review #723: Crack Tracks Presents "Space Musik"

Reviewed on 12.21.2010 (Review #723)

Tha 4th review I have today has 38 jointz! Wow… How will it go? It’s Crack Tracks Presents “Space Musik”! Start Time: 5:23 PM | End Time: 6:55 PM

01. DJ Spin Bang-Out
>>> Sounds anticipatin’; glad you’re a producer. My Rating: N/A

02. Crack “Rocket”
Interestin’ title; let’s hear it! >>> I like tha lil’ blast-off-type intro. Huh, weird vocals? This iz tha kinda Pop stuff I’m not into. WTF’s up wit this? My Rating: 1.8

03. Curren$y “Look Up To The Jets”
My bad if I’m not 100% familiar wit some songs… >>> You did this beat? This iz pretty good; sounds like an intro track. Pretty good, interestin’ shit from Curren$y. My Rating: 3.8

04. Paasky & Sanchez Bang-Out
>>> LOL @ tha plain “ya bitch” part. My Rating: N/A

05. Paasky & Sanchez “B-Boy Fresh”
>>> So, I assume you produced every song on here, Crack? Sounds like regular, decent rappin’. Tha 2nd verse sounds betta wit tha different kinds of money types. My Rating: 3.6

06. Que “Kicks Different Colors”
>>> Tha mixin’ in tha beginning of tha song sounds like tha mainstream music that’s stereotypically killin’ Hip-Hop. Not that bad on tha 1st verse. Tha 1st ½ of tha hook iz on a remake tip. My Rating: 2.7

07. 38th Special “Stretch”
>>> Why does it say this iz produced by you when it’s tha Plies “Pants Hang Low” beat? Did you produce dat song? This iz aight but I’m not too fascinated wit mainstream-soundin’ music. I do like tha drug-related shit, though. My Rating: 3.0

08. Shawt Bang-Out
>>> Good thing you got some check-ins. My Rating: N/A

09. Shawt “Moon Man”
>>> I’m likin’ tha beat start. This sounds like it’s betta than what I expected; likin’ tha “loratab” part and “pillz” shit. Tha hook’s pretty cool, especially since it keeps tha theme of this mixtape! Tha 2nd verse’s keepin’ it goin’, too. My Rating: 3.9

10. Ceasar “The Man I Is”
>>> Sounds like a good beat once again. Tha content iz good, too; nice lil’ song. Tha vocals are lil’ weird, on tha soft side, throughout tha verses… Not too bad, overall; a pretty good, smooth song wit real content. My Rating: 3.6

11. DJ Chicken Bang-Out
CHICKEN!!! >>> Let’s see what’s next. My Rating: N/A

12. Crack “A-Nah”
>>> P!nk “Get The Party Started” in tha beginning? What’s up wit this? Somewhat interestin’… on who that female was in tha beginning. Pretty interestin’ wit tha title repeatin’. Really, what’s goin’ on here? My interest iz up! Tha verse was good; nothin’ really ta say about it ‘cept dat you kept it consistent. My Rating: 3.7

13. Bizzle Feat. Frank Foota “Bump My Music”
>>> I like how it’s a lil’ slow; sounds good here… Tha hook aight/not sure of and tha 1st verse has good, rapid-fire rappin’ goin’ on. Tha 2nd verse wasn’t that bad… My Rating: 3.1

14. Ankh Amen Ra “State Of Emergency”
>>> Tha beat sounds somewhat good/East Coast style. Tha rappin’ iz nice… My Rating: 3.8

15. The Cool Kids “Pennies”
I remember this song. It was an okay/interestin’ song that aired on MTV Jams. My Current Rating: 3.7

16. Skip Coon & Mr. Nick Bang-Out
>>> Okay. My Rating: N/A

17. Skip Coon & Mr. Coon “When I Grow Up”
>>> Too slow. Good advice but not for me. My Rating: 1.5

18. B-Boys “Hit It”
>>> Decent although kinda mainstream for me. My Rating: 2.6

19. DJ Raj Smooth Bang-Out
>>> Anotha good check-in. My Rating: N/A

½time: Kinda mainstream for me to really like so I dunno how much more I can handle. I don’t even love one song so far… 3.1 iz tha CD rating, at tha moment.

20. Gorilla Zoe “So Sick”
>>> Wow, how GAY iz this?!? Just gonna skip!! My Rating: 1.0

21. B.G. “Break It Down”
Finally, a normal, Louisiana artist I like! >>> This iz pretty good; Gizzle holdin’ it down! Why does he only get 1:39 and some of these gay songs get more of a length? My Rating: 4.0

22. DJ 31 Degrees Bang-Out
It’s about that cold where I’m at now, lol. >>> Can I even hear what he sayin’? Too much of a voice effect? My Rating: N/A

23. Harvey “80’s & 90’s”
I like this title but I hope it’s not gay. >>> Yea, this iz definitely normal; I like tha beat and tha hook! Tha verse went by like it was nothin’… My Rating: 4.2

24. Beamer “It’s Official”
>>> Damn, 5:09? Betta be worth my time. This iz decent; at least it’s a Louisiana artist outta tha N.O., ya dig? Tha hook’s good; I’m likin’ this… Tha rest of tha verses were nice; N.O. in tha buildin’! My Rating: 4.3

25. DJ Mike Swift Bang-Out
>>> Power 102.9 DJ in tha buildin’! My Rating: N/A

26. Paasky & Sanchez Feat. Curren$y “Kick It”
>>> Sounds like a good-soundin’ Hip-Hop song. What was wit tha bleeped-out website? Curren$y randomly appeared toward tha end; good addition of him… My Rating: 3.3

27. C.O. The Hustla “On Check”
What’ll this be like? For some reason, I have anticipation… >>> Kinda good for me; it’s a lil’ mainstreamish… I like how it’s randomly slowin’ down. My Rating: 3.7

28. DJ Digital Bang-Out
LOL, “Ditigal” spelling on tha back cover? I went wit tha DatPiff spelling of tha regular word. >>> Good check-in; what else could I say, lol? My Rating: N/A

29. G-5 “Traffic Boutique Shopping”
>>> You produced? This sounds like anotha beat from back in tha day, too… Not too bad of a song; somewhat catchy wit dat hook. My Rating: 3.5

30. Frank Foota Bang-Out
>>> Sounds like he from tha N.O.; good shit… My Rating: N/A

31. Frank Foota “That’s Me”
LOL, you missed tha bang-out on tha back cover, makin’ #’s 31-37 be behind by one number on tha back cover, lol. >>> A lil’ mainstream but pretty catchy on tha hook. This turned out ta be pretty catchy, overall. My Rating: 3.6

32. 3-6 Mafia Bang-Out
LOL. No dash on tha back cover so it looks like Thirty-Six Mafia, lol. >>> Interestin’… My Rating: N/A

33. Fijah “What’s Good”
>>> Anotha mainstream-soundin’ song/topic that’s somewhat catchy. This iz least catchy outta tha few songs that I just heard, though. I like dat “just like winnin’ tha lottery” part. Thumbs up fa also reppin’ tha “Crescent City.” My Rating: 3.1

34. DJ Chicken Bang-Out
Once again, lol. >>> Good check-in once again. My Rating: N/A

35. Mac “Conversation”
>>> Not bad; ain’t he in jail still? This iz, just, aight; nothin’ really to comment on. My Rating: 2.8

36. Ankh Amen Ra “Hip-Hop Is Outta Control”
True… >>> This iz, like, Styles P-type sound. Tha hook has true facts; interestin’ ta hear… My Rating: 3.9

37. P.Gates Feat. Apostle “Stay High”
>>> Nice beat start! I’m likin’ tha random Reggae vocals, too. Tha hook’s catchy; feelin’ tha Jamaican shit! Tha 1st verse sounds real nice; likin’ tha shit bein’ spit! LOL, iz this a record? It took 37 songs ta determine my favorite? Tha 2nd verse spittin’ some real shit, too! My Rating: 4.5

38. DJ Kristylez Bang-Out
Endin’ it… >>> Tha voice effect again, lol. Good check-in; BWS in tha buildin’! My Rating: N/A

Overall: Got better toward tha end… Kinda a mainstream release but it’s good for, like, a production credit CD.
