Review #1,137: Big Blaze "1st Shot (Promo Disc)"

Reviewed on 3.28.2012 (Review #1,137)

Gonna attempt to get back into doin’ these reviewz, even though I’m still outside of my life, right now. Two weeks ago, I lost my handycam video camera (silver, that I record most of my radio shows and journal things with), two black video camera cases, two mini DV tapes, and my 8GB jumpdrive, which has my radio show’s radio edits and things on there. :( But, here’s my 1st review for today: Big Blaze 1st Shot (Promo Disc). Start Time: 10:26 AM | End Time: 11:13 AM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes 100,000x (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

Link To CD: N/A

01. DJ Rob (1st Shot Intro)
>>> Good intro, includin’ how it sounds. However, I heard a name that I don’t wanna hear; ugh, don’t make me become more lazy than what I am! My Rating: N/A

02. “2 Da Head” Feat. Money Mike
Grind Tyme Entertainment in tha buildin’?! >>> Oh, this sounds pretty hot fa a start, although it sounds like it could be somethin’ from tha mid-2000s? Really hot production, here; hot anthem fa err-body in dat 225!! Gotta luv tha 1st verse goin’ on; must be Money Mike, I assume? Hope I get to connect wit him soon!! Now, it sounds more like you on tha 2nd verse… or does it? Either way, pretty consistent, to tha fullest!!! Nice 3rd verse, too; really fa tha jiggalaterz, but always for tha smokerz, too! My Rating: 4.7

03. “Feelin’ Ready” Feat. DJ B-Real
Looks like a good collab… >>> Nice blend between songs, it seems like; they go together real great!! Great party music fa tha 1st verse, soundin’ like some mid-2000s music, once again!! Likin’ tha gangsta shit in tha 2nd verse, too; “that’s how it go in dat BRC!” :tu Tha 3rd verse’s pretty hot, too; lots of things you got! Seems like you’ve already achieved your goals ‘cause livin’ this life doesn’t seem any better, doesn’t it? My Rating: 4.5

04. “Like Dolphins” Feat. Da Hustlaz
You know this looks like an interestin’ title; I think I know what ta expect wit dis one!! >>> Lol, “jumpin’” goin’ on, here; thought it was gonna be pill-related wit tha title… then again, I think it iz, lol. Rhymes aren’t that bad, so far; let’s see how this gon continue… A lil’ bit of a Rudye-soundin’ dude on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit that quieter, hyped-up voice, but still sounds real nice on this beat. Dog & Tech “Jumbo” shit goin’ on, here, wit tha 3rd verse; sounds like a great verse, overall, since you really know what you’re doin’, Blaze! My Rating: 4.3

05. “Stuntin’ Ass (Remix)” Feat. Level, Ville Boyz, Head Da YG & Lil’ Feet
Big collab, here! >>> Level said it was “tha remix”? Guess I’ll put that in tha ID? I should… Really likin’ tha hook, even though this sounds like tha non-sellout Level, soundin’ like he 19 or somethin’? Really luvin’ tha hook; reminds me of tha YoungBloodZ Drankin’ Patnaz CD I luved in ’03, how he sounds like Sean P!! Also, tha 1st verse he spittin’; nothin’ but luv ‘round this way!!! Ooh, nice 2nd ½ of tha 1st verse, too; mega collab, here!!! Really luvin’ tha 1st ½ of tha 2nd verse, too; dat “stuntin’ ass” strictly goin’ nuts, here, includin’ in tha streetz! Tha 2nd ½ of tha 2nd verse sounds like Lil’ Head; good job! Gotta luv how err-body be holdin’ it down at all times!!! Endin’ it wit a female; keep forgettin’ about who Lil’ Feet iz… Ehh, not really for this song; prolly could’ve been on a different song, but oh well… Tha 2nd ½ of tha 3rd verse sounds like a younger dude, but there’s a lil’ bit of street shit goin’ on here. I believe dat was Mike of da Ville Boyz? Either way, gotta luv this!!! My Rating: 4.8

06. “Super Throwed” Feat. Cash Flow
>>> Got Young Hustla on tha beat tag, here; ehh @ beat tags, but lemme just hear this song… Really hot production goin’ on!! “Super Throwed” at its finest!! Tha hook sounds pretty nice… Ooh, likin’ tha 1st verse, on a strictly-225 tip!!! I really luv how most of these songs have that Lil’ Handy vibe in ‘em; a legacy that was meant to continue!! I really hope I find my jumpdrive ASAP ‘cause I radio-edited tha whole Lil’ Handy Rap Hustlin’ CD, and I don’t wanna redo it… :( Nice job wit tha 2nd verse, too; what else can I say? Nice job on tha 3rd verse, even though throughout most of this CD—I guess it’s ‘cause these songs must be years old—I can’t tell who’s who… My Rating: 4.4

07. “Get U One” Feat. Young Trayne & Dat Boy Kenny
I know this iz a familiar song…? >>> Yea, sounds familiar, but I have no idea where I checked it out… Either way, anotha catchy-soundin’ 225 joint! My Current Rating: 4.4

08. “Beat Down” Feat. Big B Da Hoodboy, Head Da YG & Lil’ Rocket
New feature on tha ID! >>> No comment on tha production until pending thing(s) are cleared up, even though I consider myself tha one who lost, now. Nice job wit tha hook, reppin’ hard at all times!! Tha 1st verse’s pretty gutta, too; gotta feel it!! More reppin’ in tha 2nd verse, too; nice… Keepin’ tha reppin’ goin’ wit tha 3rd verse, too; lots of hoods and guttaness!! Was dat Big B on tha 3rd verse? I thought I heard his name…; either way, if it iz, what a future dude ta fuck wit, on some real shit! Hope a connection happens soon, ya feel me? Sounds like a crazy 4th verse? Thumbs-tha-fuck-up!!! My Rating: 4.7

09. “Anybody Can Get It”
>>> Good lyrics ova a Southern beat, tha only way Big Blaze can deliver it! I believe this one sounds familiar too? I had cleaned up my iTunes library, recently, so I don’t remember what’s what… My Current Rating: 4.3

½time: This iz pretty hot, overall; can’t deny any of this shit, right chea!!! A 4.5-rated CD, currently; it’s all about dat heavy reppin’ fa tha 225!!!!!

10. “Boss Status” Feat. Da Hustlaz
>>> Sounds like anotha hot collaboration; feelin’ tha “status” y’all claim ‘cause it seems like dat when I hear this kinda music! Thumbs up ta dat 1st verse; they ain’t playin’ no games, here! Reppin’ fa err-body when they say, “Suck all our dick,” lol; lol @ everyone’s… Tha 2nd verse sounds pretty nice, too; all about survival in these Louisiana streetz! Keepin’ this shit goin’ wit tha 3rd verse, too; nothin’ ta complain about, here!! My Rating: 4.4

11. “Let ‘Em Know” Feat. Level, Lil’ Cherokee, Ben Frank, T-Dub, Lil’ Show & DJ B-Real
Lol @ all tha people squeezed in, in less than 4:30!!! >>> Oh, “‘06” style, here; sounds like a good intro, but a betta hook!! Level doin’ an okay job on tha 1st ½ of tha 1st verse; not bad… T-Dub’s on tha 2nd ½, comin’ through wit some gangsta shit on her side; why iz everyone all ova tha place in tha ID? Iz dat Ben Frank on tha 1st ½ of tha 2nd verse? Thought I heard him say that name, but it’s good reppin’, either way… A female on tha 2nd ½? Not exactly sure who it iz, but good, Southern shit, at its finest!! Ooh, got a 3rd part of tha 2nd verse; sounds good from this dude… A 4th part on tha 2nd verse, too; good female (I believe Lil’ Show), fa only “18!” Tha 5th part in tha 2nd verse’s you? Sounds like it, wit a Savage twist; thumbs up! Lol, DJ B-Real on tha 6th part! Wow, really young, here; younger than my current age, at tha time!! Feelin’ how he comin’ through wit that gutta shit; he always be reppin’ hard!!! My Rating: 4.5

12. “I Want That” Feat. Young Crucial
Looks really anticipatin’…!!! >>> Really hot start wit tha description of tha drugs!! Almost a familiar beginning wit tha lyrics, but I don’t think I eva heard this before. Either way, I think tha 1st verse’s pretty tight! Also, tha hook’s hot; tha 225 music I luv!!! Tha 2nd verse sounds like tha both of y’all, and it’s real nice!!! Tha 2nd ½ iz what sounds real tight, wit tha “quarters” and shit like dat! :tu Of course, can’t deny tha 3rd verse, too! This verse’s more on tha gangsta side; gotta luv it!! My Rating: 4.6

13. “Dumb Shit (Remix)” Feat. Teflon Pit, Young Ready, B.T., Young Crucial & Zoe
Looks real tight on tha ID!!! >>> Okay, I know this one, as tha “Pyrex Radio” tag reminded me! Of course, I feel much betta about it than back in tha day!!! My Current Rating: 4.7

14. “Name Rangin’” Feat. Big Ram
Likin’ this ID! Lol, it almost looks like “range” on tha title, but I know what’s up! >>> Hot hook; “dumb shit” at its finest!! You’re on tha 1st verse, and I’m really feelin’ how you sound on this shit, right now; blazin’ up tha tracks!! I’m likin’ tha 2nd verse, strictly “in tha fast lane!” Tha rest of this shit sounds pretty tight, too, includin’ how tha music fades out, toward tha end, but tha hot rhymes keep goin’!! “I was born in tha 80s;” you know what it iz, right here!! My Rating: 4.6

15. “One Slug” Feat. DJ B-Real & Pitre
>>> Whoa!! Heard this before I could even write a preview, and this sounds like some hot-ass ‘90s-type shit!!! Even though I believe most of these jointz are from 2006, it has a real great vibe!!! You sound pretty tight on tha 1st verse; gotta luv tha rhymes, in a non-stop fashion!! Tha 2nd verse sounds like some mo tight shit from you, too; keep this shit goin’!! Nice shit on tha 3rd verse, too; “think about what chu doin’!” My Rating: 4.6

16. “My Section” Feat. Yung Sicka & Young Ready
I know this a song I heard before… *Checks iTunes* Of course, I kept this in my iTunes ‘cause I got it before 2008 ended! You know that was my defining year!!! Originally featured on Young Ready’s Junkie Medicine (Cocaine Edition), and this iz produced by DJ B-Real!! Of course, I prolly like this much betta than back when I reviewed it in ’08, so you know what it iz!! Yung Sicka soundin’ tight wit how he consistently brings shit to tha table, here!! Tight when I first heard it, but even betta now!!! My Current Rating: 4.7

17. “‘80s Baby” Feat. Young Ready & Teflon Pit
Anotha familiar title? Yup, that same CD, but this was produced by Sims! Gotta give props to Young Ready when he wrote me from jail, givin’ me tha tracklisting and listin’ tha producers of tha songs!! Too bad that and answering Savage’s phone on tha AM hours of November 7, 2008 are tha only things he did for me. :( Thought our connection would go pretty far, but it seems like nothing has started… :confused My Current Rating: 4.7

18. “Hot Spit (Freestyle)” Feat. Beast Boy a.k.a. Benjamin Racks
Interestin’ endin’ wit tha feature!! >>> Hearin’ tha beat intro and I can tell this ain’t tha ’06 dayz… Nice, regular-paced shit from Racks on tha 1st verse; gotta feel it!! I like his character when he comes through on tha mic! You’re on tha 2nd verse, and it’s ehh…, aight. I mean, I know most music today sounds like everyone wants to be at tha top or somethin’… But, either way, good shit, overall. My Rating: 4.1

Overall: A lot better than I expected; sounds like a compilation of older tracks that’s great for others to have!

Review #856: Young Trayne "Junkie Medicine (Promethazine Edition)"

Reviewed on 3.04.2011 (Review #856)

Damn, I’m reviewin’ a lot of hot CDs!! This next one must be real hot ‘cause it’s a part of tha “Junkie Medicine” editions!! Tha newest installment to dat collection: Young Trayne “Junkie Medicine (Promethazine Edition)”!!! Start Time: 11:02 AM | End Time: 11:40 AM

Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! 01. “Let It Be Known”
Produced by: $hizz; lookin’ forward ta hearin’, especially wit him on tha beat!!! >>> Didn’t seem anticipated wit tha “Do Dat Dere”ish-type of intro but tha CD’s startin’ ta kickin’ in! “True Greed;” yup, they in tha buildin’! Damn, you seem real focused; very good wit tha consistency on dis intro track!! You’re definitely “(lettin’) it be known,” ya dig?!? Tha hook’s definitely true; nice job, here! My Rating: 4.2

02. “In The Streetz” Feat. $hizz
Produced by: $hizz; I have a feelin’ dis gon be tighter! >>> Likin’ tha intro; dis beat seems anticipatin’! Sounds like some catchy music, here; a different dose of “Junkie Medicine”, lol. Nice job wit all tha consistent shit you spit, ya dig? $hizz yea, lol, it’s $hizz on tha 3rd verse!! Dat voice iz entertainin’ as fuck!! He got shit on lock; thumbs up fa keepin’ it consistent wit tha rappin’ and tha beats, $hizz!! My Rating: 4.3

03. “Around My Way” Feat. Cash Flow, Doe & DatBoyKenny
Produced by: E-Motion; what gon go down here? >>> Oh, I rememba dis. Again, feelin’ tha familiar-soundin’ beat and how y’all do ya thang on dis one! Good collaboration; lots of consistent shit lies in tha hands of Young Trayne and his collaborators!! My Current Rating: 4.5

04. “Prisoner 2 My Grind” Feat. Yung Slab
Produced by: Lil’ One The Champ; keep tha collaborations comin’!! >>> Not really into tha beat start but tha rhymes should keep dis one comin’ along. Speakin’ of comebacks, let’s hear what Yung Slab has ta offer on tha 2nd verse… Again, comin’ through wit dat tightness; I think he reached 21, now? He’s officially ready ta be noticed, and, to fuck wit tha big dawgs! “So fly, I could piss up on tha stars”? Damn, tightness!! Feelin’ tha attitude!!! Tha rhymes are definitely tight but why did Lil’ One have ta make a hook outta a stupid sample? Not really a Louisiana-soundin’ song but tha rhymes, especially from Slab, are great! My Rating: 4.4

05. “Roll Or Get Rolled Over (Remix)” Feat. Jimi Jump & Lil’ One The Champ
Produced by: Mouse On Tha Track; ooh, a remix! Tha collab looks tight! >>> Still sounds tight; dat beat and hot hook iz still what’s up!! I liked tha rhymes on tha 1st version betta; don’t need ta random shout out people on dis shit ‘cause dis shit was hot enough wit tha title! Switchin’ it up, let’s hear what Jimi has ta offer… Okay, good shit from tha jump, lol! Nothin’ but consistentness all tha way through!!! Real glad you had him on dis—uh oh, Lil’ One’s up next; sometimes I don’t even know who’s next wit so many people ‘round here. Consistent rhymes; I’ll leave it at dat. My Rating: 4.6

06. “She’s Nasty” Feat. $hizz
Produced by: $hizz; let’s get it!! >>> I like dat, “shit!!,” beat tag intro; I like ta say, “$hizz…” when announcin’ him on tha air so people don’t think I’m sayin’, “shit,” lol. Damn, forgot $hizz iz warped in this stupid gay-ass, cunt-ass era we live in wit this stupid music out, smh. Could’ve been a good radio song but no, not anymore. I really don’t have ta say anything else ‘bout dis… My Rating: 2.4

07. “Leave ‘Em 4 Da Reaper” Feat. TerrorMontana & Teflon Pit
Produced by: Lil’ Freddy; thought dat was Terror a.k.a. Cheez of Down Bad on tha feature; dis looks like it gon be tight! >>> Nice beginning, even though it took a while. Tha hook’s definitely nice; gotta luv a topic like dis! Tha 1st verse iz only aight for me… Ooh, very anticipatin’ Pit on tha 2nd verse; he always comes through wit some of tha hottest street shit in tha 225! Really, he’s anotha reason why I luv Baton Rouge soooooooooo much!!! Wait a second, who’s on tha 3rd verse? Hope I didn’t confuse anyone ‘cause tha 3rd verse doesn’t sound like Pit… My Rating: 4.5

08. “Follow Me”
Produced by: $hizz; “shit,” lol!! >>> Ooh, hot soundin’ in tha beat and err-thang goin’ on here!! I like tha “a lotta weed” shit in tha hook; of course, dumb shit!! You doin’ a nice job, here; prolly could’ve been only three minutes long if it’s just you ‘cause most of tha time, your collaborators make tha songs long. Either way, thumbs up ta dis shit!! My Rating: 4.5

09. “Break ‘Em Off”
Produced by: Doe; lol, Jon Doe on tha beat; let’s hear what he got ta offer on tha beat fa you! >>> Sounds good; almost had a Youngbloodz perspective wit tha title, here! Nice job wit how tha hook sounds, once again; you doin’ ya thang wit Doe! LOL, it sounds like somethin’, like a laser, iz shootin’ consistently in tha air while this beat’s playin’, lol; interestin’… Nice job wit how you comin’ through on dis shit, too! My Rating: 4.3

½time: Other than #6, this iz a very hot CD, right here!!! So far, you’re at a 4.2; not bad for a really bad song bein’ on here!

10. “I Can Get Dumb” Feat. Doe & DatBoyKenny
Produced by: Q-Red. >>> Thought dat was $hizz on tha hook fa a second, lol! My bad, Doe doin’ tha damn thang on tha hook! You’re on tha 1st verse and lol, a lil’ too much in tha intro? I should be shouted out, right? A lil’ too many shout outs, overall. DBK’s on tha 2nd verse and he’s doin’ a pretty-good job; didn’t realize he had an attitude like dis! My Rating: 4.4

11. “Ready & Willing” Feat. Teflon Pit & Big Blaze
Produced by: JayTheTalent; what’ll this be like wit dis collab? >>> Tha beat intro’s pretty serious! Ooh, tha rhymes are off tha chain!!! Teflon Pit doin’ a real nice job, here; very consistent!!! LOL, no hook? I really like how dis beat sounds, either way! Must be Big Blaze on tha 2nd verse? Some of y’all almost have tha same voices… Kinda good but shouldn’t worry about how other people are spittin’; know dat y’all tha shit! Nope, dat was you on tha 2nd verse ‘cause Big Blaze’s on tha 3rd verse, comin’ through wit some hot shit!! Really likin’ how he reppin’ fa tha “Bloc Munstaz”, to tha fullest, at all times!! My Rating: 4.6

12. “Neva Been A Bitch” Feat. Big Blaze
Produced by: Rated R; let’s hear it! >>> Even though it’s Jeezy, I’m likin’ tha sample on tha hook; sounds like it works fa y’all. Good 1st verse but I’m startin’ ta get sick of all these shout outs throughout tha verses. Big Blaze comin’ through wit dat tight shit fa a big dude! Tha big dudes always intimidate tha fake and err-body out there; gotta support tha big dudes! My Rating: 4.4

13. “Hold It Down” Feat. Doe
Produced by: K Beatz. >>> Weak start fa me; what a way to lose consistency. Sorry, low interest on dis one. A lot of shit goin’ on here… Doe’s on tha 2nd verse and for some reason, his voice stands out more for me. Not dat dis makes a difference fa me ‘cause it doesn’t… My Rating: 2.6

14. “Counterfeit”
Produced by: Doe; likin’ dis title and Doe bein’ on tha beat! Even though it’s usually “I-before-E”, this title’s “E-before-I”. >>> Tha beat’s real nice, here, wit its pace; feelin’ it! Tha rappin’ you bringin’ to tha table’s good, too! Doe should’ve rapped on dis; he prolly would’ve had some car-race-type shit dat would’ve sounded nice! Tha content iz nice, too; good shit right here!! My Rating: 4.5

15. “Beef Wit Me” Feat. DatBoyKenny & Teflon Pit
Produced by: Killa B; thought I saw Killa B from somewhere; prolly was on some really-anticipatin’ CD back in tha day! >>> Of course, it had to’ve been ‘cause dis production’s hotter than lava when it comes ta tha underground!!! Ooh, tha 1st verse’s so tight wit all tha shit goin’ on!!! Tha hook definitely explains why y’all are bound ta intimidate people; it’s all in tha “don’t fuck wit me” attitude, ya dig? Tha 2nd verse’s pretty tight, too! Thumbs up fa y’all continuin’ ta bring dat consistent shit!!! You’re on tha 3rd verse and yea, had ta make dis shit even hotter!!! My Rating: 4.7

16. “Pour Me Up”
Produced by: Beat Geekz; don’t know dem so let’s see how dis gon sound… >>> Sounds good; almost sounds like jacked/online producers? LOL @ tha “I’m on my gay shit” part; you definitely “(showin’ yo) ass” to tha streetz ‘cause of how tight you keep tha consistent shit comin’ along, especially wit all tha people you fuck wit!! Tha beat almost sounds like dat “2 AM” beat dat Tim did fa Jeezy. Tha hook’s soundin’ much betta; definite plus ta dis song!! My Rating: 4.0

17. “I Know Who Ridin’ Wit Me” Feat. $hizz & Big Blaze
Produced by: $hizz; hope there’s no A-Tune in dis one! >>> Tha beat’s startin’ ta sound hot; don’t destroy my anticipation! Damn, tha beat intro sounds long… Oh, I hear tha sample in tha hook, now; sounds good… Afta 53 seconds, my dawg $hizz iz on tha 1st verse, and I’m feelin’ what he bringin’ to tha table! I liked dat “Zion City” part; gotta represent tha tight hoods in BR! Here you are on tha 2nd verse, comin’ through wit some hot shit, too… Time ta hear some of dat big dawg, Big Blaze, comin’ through on tha 3rd verse wit his tightness. It’s all about reppin’ Glen Oaks and buku areas of tha Rouge to tha fullest! My Rating: 4.2

18. “Sometimes I Wonder” Feat. Anonomous
Produced by: Soul Food; because of tha unknown people, I’m not lookin’ forward. >>> No “wonder” why this iz an endin’ song. Ooh, I like tha Anonomous gurl; she sounds like tha undaground and music I’d like from tha Early 2000s! Glad she held tha hook down and that it wasn’t some stupid sample! I don’t have much interest in what you’re spittin’ in dis, unfortunately. Remember: dis wasn’t my kinda song from tha beginning; Anonomous only made it a lil’ interestin’ wit tha hook. My Rating: 3.2

Overall: Nice job wit everything, everyone, and everything (again) throughout dis CD!! Even though I liked “The Pharmacy” betta, you always know how ta come through wit a lotta great people outta BR/Glen Oaks/Zion City/etc.!!

Rankings:

Review #639: Big Blaze "Junkie Medicine (Heroin Edition)"

Reviewed on 9.03.2010 (Review #639)

‘Bout ta review a 2008 CD from (and for) my boy Big Blaze outta dat Bloc Munstaz clique. It’s tha “Junkie Medicine (Heroin Edition)”; follow up to Young Ready’s? Glad I’m finally gettin’ ta hear this!! You KNOW it’ll give me dat GR8 ’08 feel!! Start Time: 11:45 AM | End Time: 1:08 PM

Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it) so any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “Intro”
For 2:20, iz it rappin’ or just a long intro? >>> Tha beat sounds pretty hot here; it must be like DJ B-Real or someone on tha beat! Okay, I hear rappin’ on this intro; you doin’ ya thang here wit tha REAL GR8 quality!! Tha hook sounds like you’re just really “big” when it comes ta tha undaground! Tha verse sounds pretty tight wit your consistent rhymes!! Where are these other “editions”? My Rating: 4.4

02. “Watch Me”
I most definitely gon do dat!! >>> Yes to tha production here!! LOL @ tha hook; kinda simple but you know it’s hella catchy! Tha 1st verse sounds tight here; “23 wit 23 haterz!” Tha 2nd verse’s good; I really like tha flow towards tha last few bars, ya heard me? Tha 3rd verse sounds pretty tight not just on how it sounds but also, how you feelin’; good shit. My Rating: 4.1

03. “From What I Was Told”
Looks like it gon be good; I trust titles like dis ‘cause I know you’ll come wit somethin’! >>> Okay, production’s on an A+ anticipation level for me!! I like how tha hook’s soundin’; “my time like Handy.” You know you have potential and I gon make sure I make dat be shown on my radio show, ya dig? You spittin’ some good shit in tha 1st verse here; bound-ta-be-classic shit! Tha 2nd verse sounds like you ‘bout yo “shit” here; feelin’ tha rhymes and your perspective! Nice job on tha 3rd verse too; you ‘bout yo bidness!! My Rating: 4.4

04. “Thank I Ain’t”
Okay, what we got here…? >>> Uh oh!! “Dat boy Big Wayne on tha track;” uh oh!! That makes my anticipation REAL HIGH, especially since it’s ’08 style!! Okay, tha hook DEFINITELY iz a plus here for me; definitely feelin’ it!! Tha 1st verse sounds like you’re just really doin’ tha damn thang here wit how you’re comin’ through wit tha “Polo”s and shit! Ooh, tha Big Wayne beat pattern in bars 5-8/13-16!! I miss dat pattern; what happened to it? Nice job wit tha verse; just REALLY goin’ off here!! Tha 2nd verse sounds betta here; you just DOIN’ tha damn thang!! LOL, only 12 bars that time? Was lookin’ forward ta hearin’ tha beat pattern, lol! My Rating: 4.7

05. “I Betcha”
LOL, wouldn’t’ve known what this song was ‘til you told me; reviewed this ova two years ago as it was thrown in tha Young Ready “Junkie Medicine (Cocaine Edition)” CD upload as “Gunz”. Now, this tha real title!! That “you gon let yo nerves calm” shit would go through my head a bunch of times and I’d be like, “What tha hell song was that?” Sometimes, this happens so you know that’s a memorable line in tha hook! Thumbs up wit tha gr8 production again and tha CRAZY hook!!! Tha 1st verse’s just gangsta to tha fullest!! DEFINITELY a REAL TIGHT gangsta-type song here, ya heard me? Tha 2nd verse iz also real good ‘cause of tha clearup between tha real and tha fake; also, tha gangsta shit continues!! Once again, doin’ tha damn thang wit tha 3rd verse too!! Dumb shit to tha fullest!! You just REALLY deliver tha HOT SHIT to tha fullest here!! My Current Rating: 4.7

06. “Name In Yo Mouth Pt. 1” Feat. Young Trayne
Ooh, a part and a feature! This DEFINITELY gon be GR8 ta hear!! >>> Okay, dat GR8 production in tha beginning here iz official!! I’m likin’ tha talkin’ in tha intro too! LOL @ tha start to tha hook from you; you have an addictive “mouth” for tha people, lol… Gutta shit bein’ spit here in tha 1st verse; what an attitude!!! LOL @ right before tha end of tha 1st verse: dat DJ B-Real tag!! Dat’s a classic tag from him; why can’t he just stick to dat tag? I like his current tag but that “DJ B-Real” tag iz tight like tha original Big Wayne one!! Nice job on tha whole 1st verse!! Tha 2nd verse iz more on tha “grindin’” tip here; not much of an attitude as tha 1st verse but everything was there!! LOL, Trayne’s on tha 3rd verse and he sounds pretty different on tha voice! Tightness here; can’t complain!! Sounds like alternations within tha 3rd verse? DEFINITELY nice!! My Rating: 4.6

07. “Gas Done Went Up” Feat. Kontreversy
Dat boy Kontreversy or iz it Kontroversy (how you spelled it) on tha feature? I know Kontreversy from Real Profit… This title’s pretty nice although there was a decrease in “gas” ‘round tha end of ’08, so that was good! Lookin’ forward ta hearin’ this!! >>> Okay, tha beat iz DEFINITELY REAL HOT here!!! I just LUV dat Baton Rouge vibe in tha beats!!! Tha hook sounds tight; iz that tha Kontroversy dude? Sounds like a sample and it sounds GR8 wit how it fits!! You’re on tha 1st verse and you’re spittin’ tight-ass shit here ova this REAL HOT beat!!! Gotta luv tha topic ‘bout “gas,” lol! “SS: Stunt & Shine;” dumb shit!! LOL, this has ta be Kontreversy that I know from Real Profit ‘cause I can tell by tha voice and delivery; REAL TIGHT here!!! LOL, didn’t expect this combo; he sounds pretty gutta!! No matter if this was an ’07/’08 song, he was 20/21 at tha time. DEFINITELY comin’ through wit dat TIGHTNESS!! Thanx for tha surprise, ya heard me?!? You’re back on tha 3rd verse and it’s soundin’ good wit tha “gas”/ridin’-type lyrics! Pretty good verse; easily stole my favorite on here so far!! My Rating: 4.8

08. “Get Off Me” Feat. DBK & Jay Da Talent
Okay, we got some Bloc Munstaz family here; let’s see what y’all got! >>> Tha production’s off to a dry start but you know it’ll develop!! Tha beginning’s soundin’ good here from you; gotta luv and feel err-thang you be spittin’ from dat Baton Rouge perspective!! LOL @ tha hook; feelin’ dat “get off me” sample as it sounds GR8 on tha track! Tha 2nd verse has a good attitude fa this track; you know what it iz!! Strictly CORRECT on tha track here!! Tha 3rd verse has a more smooth voice for tha track here but tha attitude iz here!! My Rating: 4.5

09. “I Run That”
Most definitely; look at your ratings!! >>> Okay, here’s some betta production! LOL, tha beginning of this sounds like it could’ve been like tha intro track or somethin’, lol. Nice job wit tha beginning of this 1st verse and tha rhymes are soundin’ consistent… Tha hook sounds pretty nice here; holdin’ it down wit dis GR8 beat! Tha 2nd verse’s keepin’ thangz consistent here… Tha 3rd verse sounds good too; “got gorilla in you;” thanx for dat fact on how old “Gorilla In Me” was, lol. My Rating: 4.3

½time: So far, dis dat kinda shit I luv, ya heard me? DEFINITELY tight shit here!! You’re at a NICE 4.5 average CD rating so far!!! DEFINITELY feelin’ ALL tha tight-ass production dat makes me just luv Baton Rouge fa what it iz!! Also, thumbs up on tha features too!!

10. “Superthrowed” Feat. Cash Flow
Ooh, a compound word in tha title and a feature!! Let’s see what’s good here!! >>> Shit, yea; Young Hustla on tha beat!! Tha beat’s ON FIRE HERE!!! Tha hook’s DEFINITELY “superthrowed!” Tha 1st verse’s like lava; blazin’, lol!! Tha rhymes are also kick-ass on this REAL HOT beat!!! I’m hearin’ tha 2nd verse from Cash Flow now and he’s VERY consistent wit tha rappin’ here!! You’re DEFINITELY doin’ tha damn thang wit recruitin’ these features onto this CD!! Tha 3rd verse’s VERY consistent wit how you’re comin’ wit it right here, my boy!! “I’m a joker, you’re an ace;” definitely right!! My Rating: 4.7

11. “A Mile”
Good thing “A Milli” wasn’t out at tha time so there’s no need of thinkin’ of lowerin’ my anticipation! It’s a pretty good title and you’re keepin’ up tha 4:30+ lengths here; how will it sound? >>> Slow start; sounds like a good, slow song… Tha hook sounds pretty good here; I like dat it’s long too. Kinda smooth on tha flow here on tha 1st verse; sounds like a rough story… Tha 2nd verse’s pretty strong wit tha content too… Tha 3rd verse’s good too… My Rating: 4.0

12. “Roll With Me” Feat. DBK, Teflon & Harmonyous
High anticipation level wit this collab here!!! >>> Anotha slow start for me although I hear tha gutta organ? Tha hook’s a lil’ plain for me; hope tha verses are betta… Tha 1st verse iz you and I thought it was a dry start ‘til tha fast rappin’ came! Pretty good verse from you… Okay, tha 2nd verse’s hot wit tha fast rappin’ too! I guess dat’s Harmonyous on tha hook since Teflon’s left and there’s only 1:34 remaining; high anticipation level on Teflon Pit!! Expected a lil’ betta but I’m still feelin’ this fastness on this track. It’s just, I’ve heard betta on tha Young Ready “Junkie Medicine (Cocaine Edition)” and tha Young Trayne “The Pharmacy” as well as on C-IV’s “O.T.B. (Only The Beginning)”!! My Rating: 4.1

13. “I Ain’t Lyin’”
Just crackin’ 5:01 on tha length; what’ll this be like for me? >>> Oh no, lol @ this beat! I didn’t realize it was this old… Oh, it just changed to a Sims beat, lol? That beginning beat I heard on Yung Yola’s CD called “He Da Truth” but yea, DEFINITELY feelin’ tha kick-ass Sims beat!! Tha hook sounds real addictive!!! Tha REAL HOT beat here’s just ADDICTIVE TOO!!! Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and tha rhymes are DEFINITELY nice here; I luv tha consistency!!! Some mo real vs. fake-type shit in tha 2nd verse here; keep clearin’ it up! REALLY feelin’ how you deliverin’ these rhymes; kick-ass flow on a kick-ass beat!! Tha 3rd verse iz pretty good here… Once again, you holdin’ it down!! LOL @ tha “2006/2007” ending; thanx for tha reminder… I think tha songs are MUCH TIGHTER for some reason when they’re older! My Rating: 4.6

14. “If I Ain’t” Feat. Yung Smiley & Young Trayne
Anotha “I Ain’t” title back to back, lol? It’s like an lol but it should be good! >>> Oh, Savage’s current tag fa this, lol? Good shit; ROFL @ tha beginning of tha hook!! How tight wit tha “If I ain’t tha shit, then put ya toilet paper up!” DEFINITELY gon be catchy here as I begin ta hear this!! Tha beat’s a lil’ less noticeable for a Savage beat but I hear those hot, consistent sounds still!! Tha 1st verse’s soundin’ pretty tight from you; once again, tha consistent rhymes and flow!! Uh oh, Yung Smiley comin’ up on tha 2nd verse; glad ta hear someone I neva heard before!! He’s soundin’ pretty young; I picture him wit cornrows or dreads wit how he sounds, lol. I’m feelin’ what he spit here; hope this was not tha only time I’d be able ta hear him ‘cause he should appear more often on otha peoples’ CDs! LOL, he’s Trayne on tha 3rd verse and it’s still on dat ’06, ’07, ’08-type voice, lol. Nice job doin’ tha damn thang on tha 3rd verse; cocky attitude too a lil’ bit wit tha “no Polo down” shit, lol. My Rating: 4.5

15. “Movin’ On” Feat. Frankie
LOL, I’m “on” tha feature here, lol? Funny… >>> Well, not too funny here; what tha hell iz this? Doesn’t even sound like an original track; sounds jacked… Terrible ta know dat Frankie iz not a rapper too. VERY GROSS; PLEASE END!!! Why iz this over four minutes? LOL, you’re randomly on tha 3rd verse? Was just about ta rate it without caring about tha last two minutes, lol… Regardless, no comment; way too soft for a Southern song from tha undaground!! OMG, why tha last 37 seconds?!? Will be not addin’ to my iPod!! My Rating: 1.3

16. “95 Percent” Feat. Cash Flow
Not “100”? Should I anticipate dis? >>> My mood went down but tha beat’s pretty nice for a start; same thing wit tha intro too… Glad we’re back to tha official style!! Tha 1st verse’s good; nice job, ya dig? Okay, I see where you’re goin’ wit tha “95 percent;” agreed dat “95% of these hoes iz fake!” Glad I’m a part of tha “5% that’s real,” ya dig? Tha 2nd verse’s pretty nice; good-ass shit once again! Tha 3rd verse iz Cash Flow and it’s flowin’ good; nice shit here! I DEFINITELY agree wit dis shit when it comes ta people “not bein’ ya patna” when it comes ta friends; good shit! My Rating: 4.3

17. “I Go Hard”
>>> Beat sounds nice here; consistent-ass start to tha 1st verse!! Tha whole entire verse iz good and I’m likin’ dis production!! LOL, it’s anotha one of those “go hard in tha paint”-type songs; feelin’ it! Nice shit here on tha hook and that consistent vibe from you! Tha 2nd verse iz here and lol, anotha “’so sick’ like ‘Ne-Yo’” quote? That’s two on this CD, lol… Pretty good verse overall, ya dig? Tha 3rd verse sounds pretty tight wit how you’re deliverin’ it for a song! My Rating: 4.4

18. “Ain’t No Love” Feat. Harmonyous
Not sure if we’re gonna ruin tha ending here; no anticipation for me. >>> Yea, tha start kinda scares me… You’re on tha 1st verse and it’s not so scary at all… Tha hook sounds like I’ve heard somethin’ like this before (wit “no love in tha heart of tha city”)? Just decent but not bad for me… Tha 2nd verse’s keepin’ it real… Tha 3rd verse’s good too; mo strong content from you… My Rating: 3.6

Overall: Well, nice job here, my boy!! This makes me think, “What happened to… ___,” meaning, anyone that had this GR8 production and then, just turned into somethin’ bigger/cockier? I know one particular person, who had somethin’ like this that sounded REAL GOOD and now, in 2010, they’re just someone that’s tryin’ to secretly slip away from me or somethin’. Anyway, I won’t get inta dat; I just have ta say dat you REALLY did tha damn thang here!! Nice-ass job and tha REAL GOOD beats REALLY helped!!

Review #596: $hizz & Doe "Effect Vol. 2: Welcome To O.A.K.L.A.N.D."

Reviewed on 8.05.2010 (Review #596)

Time for my next review. Finally, tha previous DatPiff reviewz I’ve done are COMPLETE, I believe!! Here’s a review for my boyz $hizz & Doe (what up, Jon Doe?) “Effect Vol. 2: Welcome To O.A.K.L.A.N.D.”!! DEFINITELY lookin’ forward and as much as you’re lookin’ forward to my review, Doe, hopefully after readin’ it, you’ll “swear” again to send me tha hard copy, lol! Start Time: 6:47 PM | End Time: 8:12 PM

Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! 01. “Killin’ It (Intro)”
I’m goin’ wit how tha back cover has it; tha mp3 info has it reversed. Anyway, this iz REALLY anticipatin’ fa me!!! >>> LOL, it has “intro” in tha title but there was no “intro,” lol! Are ya “pants gon hang low” ‘cause of this beat? LOL, naw, I’m just playin’… Tha quality sounds good and tha hook’s cool… LOL, Doe’s on tha 1st verse here and it’s good and consistent. $hizz’s on tha 2nd verse and it’s nearly identical as Doe fa me; y’all both look nearly tha same on tha cover too, lol… I like tha whole “call 911” shit! My Rating: 4.1

02. “Watch Back”
Keepin’ it goin’, what’ll happen here? >>> LOL, speakin’ of “R.I.P. Handy” at tha end of tha last song, I think this iz more on tha “Nu$$ie Alive” times here wit tha beats; more ’08 soundin’ here wit tha DFB “Talkin’ Out Da Side Of Ya Neck” beat… Tha hook sounds good and tha 1st verse’s okay but a lil’ cocky… My CD in tha mail should come before any “bitch!” I like tha catchy punchlines (e.g., “Ja Rule… I clap back”) on tha both of y’all when y’all spit! Tha 2nd verse’s aight fa me but sounds good towards tha end wit tha punchlines once again! My Rating: 3.8

03. “Blow ‘Em Down” Feat. Young Hits
Sometimes styled as “Yung Hitz” (wit how you have it). Doesn’t this look familiar? >>> Ahh, it iz, LMAO? Was gonna put “remix” on tha ID but this iz “Baton Rouge vs. Baton Rouge” fa me ‘cause Lil’ Yella had tha same exact song… Or, did DeTrane just not give credit to y’all on tha song (then again, you just have Young Hits on tha feature)… Okay, no Lil’ Yella this time so this iz odd ta be a “BR vs. BR” song… Wasn’t sure if tha 1st two verses were tha same ‘cause they nearly sound tha same but they’re both good; nice team! I like how tha 2nd verse started wit “Polos” and shit! I like tha Lil’ Yella version betta so this’ll be a touch lower on tha rating… LMAO, tha same outro? :confused Very confused… I guess DeTrane left some info out on his version… My Rating: 4.3

04. “Strike A Pose”
Likin’ all tha colors on tha back cover; good shit! >>> Anotha hot Young Hits beat here; sounds funny wit tha sounds in tha beginning… Tha hook’s catchy; y’all LUV “pictures,” lol! I do too and don’t mind ANYTIME when someone would take a “picture” of me! Tha rappin’ on tha 1st verse’s just aight fa me; sounds like I can hear someone else say nearly all tha shit bein’ said… Tha 2nd verse sounds cool, mainly due to its cool vibe… Good shout out ta “Hits” on tha beat! Ooh, gettin’ betta wit tha 3rd verse; “Polos, Girbauds!” Pretty good verse overall… LOL @ tha beat ending; kinda long and those funny sounds are here again, lol! My Rating: 4.2

05. “Gettin’ Money” Feat. DJ B-Real & Puppy
Ooh, mega combo here and B-Real’s on this beat; looks like it’ll be a GR8 radio song so let’s see… >>> Pretty catchy here; tha hook’s cool! ALWAYS luv Baton Rouge sounds like dis, 100% of tha time!! Feelin’ tha 1st verse here on this beat although I lose interest when I keep hearin’ ‘bout these “hoes” and shit… B-Real’s on tha 2nd verse here and he’s doin’ his thang; catchy shit! I feel like I can hear this kinda verse in anotha one of his songs he’s featured in (like “Extravagant” from J Buc/Quikkdraw/DJ B-Real). Good thing there was no “hoes” shit in his verse ‘cause he refuses (randomly) to approve my friend request yet on MySpace or Facebook so he shouldn’t be able to rap about dat shit; agreed! LOL, you’re on tha 3rd verse? Where’s Puppy? Okay, here he iz; good job by tha way on your lil’ extra contribution… Interestin’ dat you recruited Puppy on tha 2nd ½ of tha 3rd verse; good job… It’s all family when ya hear him and a team of people! My Rating: 4.4

06. Bubba B Skit
Who’s he? Iz he Lil’ Bubba? >>> Three minutes of a skit? What’s this? Was good and explicit fa what it iz but now, I hear tha “5 Star Chick” beat in tha background? Okay, interestin’ ta hear a skit on a jacked beat… This iz a newbie so I’ll prolly talk ta him sooner or later… It’s funny how these people I hear for tha 1st time and no matter who or what, they’re EXTREMELY about “dickin’” people, ROFL! What am I ‘pose ta call this “fucktastic,” lol? LOL… Kinda long for a skit; should’ve been a minute… Who’s “Brista Boy On Tha Track?” My Rating: N/A

07. “#1 Groupie”
I dunno about this title… >>> Scary start; I need to take a shit, sorry. Be right back… …Okay, I’m back and wit no producer listed, this must be a jacked beat… Oh, at least it’s a website beat. WTH @ tha hook; sounds like White people music… Comin’ soon to an Alexia theater and iPod near you, lol!! That means my agent’ll prolly like dis if she eva gets ta hear it… I can’t believe this iz 4:40… Oh no, an A-Tune 2nd verse from $hizz? “Shiid,” I was invisionin’ below a 2.0 rating already; can just imagine how worse tha rating’ll be… I’m glad I delayed this over takin’ a shit! :tu Now, tha 3rd verse sounds like The-Dream wit all tha “aye” ad-libs and names… Fuck any other feedback… My Rating: 1.0

08. “I Know You See Me” Feat. Young Trayne
I feel betta, especially since I see dis collab and a Young Hits beat!! >>> *Shocked voice* No “Young Hits made tha track” tag in tha very beginning… I still don’t hear it, lol? Tha beginning’s soundin’ a lil’ hot… Well, this iz Young Hits, secretly, on tha beat, without a tag… Ooh, tha hook sounds GR8; Trayne sounds REAL GR8 and catchy on tha hook, lol!! Trayne’s on tha 1st verse here and he sounds good on this real gr8 beat!! NOBODY BETTA “hate on Big T;” Trayne’ll knock ANYONE down!! Doe’s on tha 2nd verse and kinda odd ta me wit tha “don’t fuck wit plenty niggaz but fuck plenty hoes;” kinda typical like tha otha 999,999,999 people in tha world… But, that’s your choice. I just know dat I go a completely different route (by still bein’ a regular person) and I’m really praised for my routes. Tha 3rd verse’s soundin’ GR8 wit tha flow here; pretty quick though… My Rating: 4.5

09. “Real Nigga Status”
This looks anticipatin’; lemme hear it! >>> I thought it was a Young Hits tag before I saw tha title and it’s a $hizz beat; nice and hypnotizin’! Tha hook’s cool and addictive… Tha 1st verse’s cool; good shit here although I don’t have much ta say… Uh oh, Jon Doe on tha 2nd verse, lol! This iz soundin’ pretty gangsta wit tha rappin’; good job here. Too bad fa only two verses… My Rating: 4.4

10. “Kiss Her Goodnite”
Prolly a lil’ scary… >>> On tha jacked beat tip (The-Dream)… Wow, fuck this too!! :td My Rating: 1.0

½time: Tha average CD rating iz at a GR8 4.2, ya dig! …Oh, I forgot ta contribute tha two fucked up songs…; only a 3.5, sorry. :( Tha rest of tha jointz are gr8 though! Keep makin’ HOT music!!

11. “Runnin’ This”
>>> LOL, everyone luvs this Plies “Who Hotter Than Me” beat, lol… “Runnin’ this bitch like a gold metal sprinter;” good line for tha hook. Still feelin’ tha gr8, catchy punchlines on tha 1st verse! Tha 2nd verse also goes ta show you dat y’all a gr8 team; identical, gr8 rhymes to tha fullest! My Rating: 3.9

12. “Flight School” Feat. G-Money
Ooh, a feature but no source on tha beat? >>> Ahh, heard this beat just recently… Anotha gay-ass hook? Why? :confused Those good rhymes are in tha 1st verse here but I can’t take this a bit serious at all… I don’t need to hear a reference to “Drake” either; we’re in BR, not Canada! WTF @ tha 2nd verse?!? My cousin came ova earlier and was like, “They don’t make Hard Rock music anymore.” I can agree wit her in terms of my music: No one makes Rap music ta where you can tell where it’s comin’ from anymore… No one makes Trance music anymore; so fucked up since my music taste began in 2000… My Rating: 1.8

13. “On My Shit” Feat. DJ B-Real & Young Trayne
Maybe a revival? No beat source? >>> LOL, 334 MO.B.B. & Rich Boy “Supa Fly” beat? Why does it have tha website in tha beginning? Huh, very fucked up soundin’? Why again?!? Tha hook’s HORRIBLE; let Yung Yola CRUSH Y’ALL fa turnin’ a title of his inta this!! :td Why’d it skip also @ 1:35? WhyTH iz tha length 4:39? Iz 4:39 – 4:40 a cursed length? Please tell me these features are FALSE!!! “I don’t mean ta be an anus?” Well, you are ‘cause of this gay-ass A-Tune shit; SO 2007! It’s 2010 now! Damn, tha features are not false? Didn’t realize dat was DJ B-Real on tha hook ‘cause Young Trayne’s on tha last verse… Why’d he fall for tha fucked up curse? :confused Unlucky #7 AND unlucky #13! :td My Rating: 1.3

14. “Chill” Feat. Juiicy
I can end it now; I’m no longer anticipated… >>> And somethin’ like this tells me why! Very horrible consistency all of a sudden… Okay, a lil’ more normal on tha 1st verse though. Still, anotha Drake reference, lol? What if I knew him in 2007? Would you tell someone, “I’ll call you back,” ova it, lol? Tha feature sounds like a grown, Black lady, lol? Like Faith Evans… No $hizz here… My Rating: 2.7

15. “Why They Mad” Feat. Mane Of Money Train
Looks more normal… >>> REALLY? A normal sound here?!? I guess ‘cause $hizz’s on tha beat! Good job wit tha anger here and tha HOT-ASS beat!! Really feelin’ this sound and I’m glad ta hear Money Train too!! LOL @ tha start to tha 1st verse wit tha “lemon” shit! No Doe this time, lol? I guess $hizz just needed ta revive this CD! Glad he did ‘cause tha 1st verse sounds pretty good and energetic from him!! This might be tha best song fa me so far; gotta luv it!! Kinda odd for an emerge on tha 2nd verse, especially if I neva heard Money Train, wit, “Pull up to tha club,” lol? It’s way more normal than some of tha songs on here though so at least dat’s a plus! Sounds like some of tha White rappers I know from Baton Rouge dat sound real good; nice job on tha verse!! Gotta feel powered up wit tha “loratabs and xanabarz!!” LOL, didn’t expect a 3rd verse here; good shit! LOL @ tha “Speedo” part although it was used in a more “normal” quote here, accordin’ ta “goin’ fast!” This went ALL tha way to tha end!! My Rating: 4.6

16. “Cocky”
Didn’t take tha Hannibal song now, did you, lol? >>> I’m just joking… Glad it’s anotha original production (Young Hits this time); good hook although it sounds like Remy Ma “Conceited” wit tha flow? Very consistent wit all this rappin’ on tha 1st verse!! :tu SO MUCH ta rap about, lol!! “Batman” emerge onto tha 2nd verse here and tha flow’s just stayin’ real catchy!! LOL, a “Gates” reference; I look forward ta hearin’ my name be referred in songs soon! I have a higher status than most of tha rappers in BR, ya dig! Jon Doe’s on tha 3rd verse and it sounds good fa BR although tha catchy flow’s missin’ a lil’ in tha—oh, neva mind, I hear it ‘round 3:34; good job wit tha flow at tha end of tha verse, Doe! My Rating: 4.3

17. “Bed Rock”
>>> Good thing there’s no A-Tune although I don’t take songs serious at all when tha original hook’s on it! FUCK!! Why’d I open my mouth about tha A-Tune? Was jynxed towards tha end of tha 1st verse!! :td Dat lil’ part just made me pissed! Tha 2nd verse ain’t A-Tune’d? Some of tha rappin’ just bores me… WTF @ tha mixin’ towards tha end? How fucked up! My Rating: 2.4

18. “Cold Blooded” Feat. Young Trayne & DBK
>>> I didn’t hear a beat tag in tha beginning at first so I was a lil’ worried. But, I see $hizz on tha beat so this iz a safety zone! Tha hook’s catchy; feelin’ it and tha beat iz a lil’ above okay. Tha 1st verse’s pretty good; this has those catchy punchlines once again! A MUCH MORE NORMAL Trayne on tha 2nd verse here, spittin’ good shit! He even has some Digital Media-type rhymes wit “turnin’ tha camera angle;” good shit! Kenny’s on tha 3rd verse and it’s above average… My Rating: 4.3

19. “Ambitions Az A Writer”
Oh no, not one of these typical titles… >>> LOL, I thought it was Andre 3000 at first? This ain’t a Pac beat and tha 1st verse’s aight; sounds like tha rappin’s tryin’ its best although, it’s just a jacked beat… WTF @ all tha braggin’ before tha 2nd verse? Again, it’s just a jacked beat… Okay, tha 2nd verse iz somethin’ I can handle here; tha lyrical-type rhymes dat are continuous… “Not even 21 yet?” I’m a lil’ older? Didn’t expect dat… A much more calm part before tha 3rd verse, luckily… Tha 3rd verse sounds like some more pretty good rappin’… Some of tha rhymes ain’t my style though, so it’s a lil’ not for me… My Rating: 3.2

20. “Polo 2 The Flo (Remix)” Feat. Mane, Treal, Tula Boy, Chad & Lovely Boy
LOL, look at dis lineup!! Looks like it gon be crazy wit $hizz on tha beat!! >>> “Remix?” I gon put it in tha ID then! Neva heard this before although it sounds familiar on tha hook? Tha hook’s crazy as hell!! This could be my favorite song on this CD? Tha 1st ½ of tha 1st verse sounds good… Tha 2nd ½ of tha 1st verse sounds MUCH BETTA wit dat Mane dude; REAL GLAD he’s back and just doin’ a REAL GR8 job!!! Tha 1st ½ of tha 2nd verse sounds like Tula Boy; glad ta hear him again!! Dumb shit to tha fullest right chea!! REALLY luvin’ tha swag at ALL times!! Feelin’ all those “color horses!!” :tu LOL @ tha “Swag Surfin’” reference… Chad’s on tha 2nd ½ of tha 2nd verse and he contributes good as a part of tha family… Tha 1st ½ of tha 3rd verse sounds like they’re luvin’ their “boxers” wit tha “Polo horses” on them, lol!! I neva knew there would be a day where people would LUV their underwear so much ta sag their pants to tha world; lol! I find it funny… Lovely Boy’s on tha 2nd ½ of tha 3rd verse and again, glad ta have anotha dude as a part of y’all family! Good job, all y’all!! My Rating: 4.7

21. “My People (Remix)” Feat. Young Trayne
A bonus song just from Doe? Let’s see what’s good wit dis… >>> Sounds like mixin’ in tha beginning… Glad it’s at least normal… ROFL, Young Trayne’s on tha 1st verse? I see you just have “Doe” as tha artist on tha mp3 info… Anyway, Trayne’s doin’ his thang on tha 1st verse here; VERY consistent wit tha kick-ass rhymes!! Baton Rouge style to tha fullest!! It’s in tha vains!! Tha Webbie-soundin’-sampled hook sounds tight too!! :tu Tha 2nd verse’s pretty good fa tha 225 sound here! LOL @ “fightin’ ova bad bitches;” should be not allowed afta Bleek died ova it! LOL, “Mr. Doe iz in tha buildin’” on tha 3rd verse? I guess I’ll just consider dat $hizz was on tha 2nd verse? Gutta shit here… My Rating: 4.4

Overall: Wow, not statistically what I expected. I guess dat’s what happens when you don’t have a producer for some songs… Those songs I didn’t like were not called for at all; not even CLOSE ta bein’ “different!” But, there’s a bunch of gr8 songs for tha radio so you KNOW I’ll be nice enough ta give y’all radio play! Hope y’all do like dis seven page review!
