Review #1,353: 1st Class Carson "F.A.M.E. II"

Reviewed on 12.08.2013 (Review #1,353)

Tha next CD I have ta review iz F.A.N. Entertainment’s 1st Class Carson F.A.M.E. II! One of DJ B-Real’s boyz, let’s see what we got, here! Start Time: 11:49 PM | End Time: 1:20 AM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes 100,000x (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it! After I was robbed by an artist who claimed they “get money,” hearin’ about how much you “got money” and anything “money” really bothers me. If you have not done business wit me before, I won’t tolerate “money” talk in tha music!!

01. “Intro”
>>> Lil’ Tron doin’ a beat, here… Not really likin’ that there was a beat tag, here; beat tags are corny! Bad ta know that “gettin’ money”’s tha 1st thing on your mind… I do like tha “gettin’ blunted” part, though. Rhymes sound catchy, here; you got a catchy voice, too! However, you do sound insecure with all this ramblin’ toward tha 2nd ½ of this intro… It’s like, how do you ramble so much? An autistic person like me, that’s hard! A 2nd verse, here… Oh, so F.A.N. Entertainment = Fuck A Nigga Entertainment? Weird that somethin’ explicit would be in a label name, as well as really negative. Tha funny thing iz that as negative as it iz, you prolly pull up to tha scene wit a bunch of dudes, anywayz, so as always, it’s a contradiction. Also, you only “21”? Thought you were near B-Real’s age, so it’s odd to know that I’m right in betwee tha both of y’all (25). As far as this “money” shit, if you keep braggin’ about it, I hope you promote this CD well by spendin’ some of that “money” on me makin’ you a commercial, maybe gettin’ a beat from me, and more! My Rating: 4.2

02. “Youngin Year”
Not sure what ta expect… >>> Not really inta tha Lil’ Phat sample. Shouldn’t be there just ‘cause he died. Couldn’t tell who’s producin’ this, but this sounds nice, regardless! Just didn’t go for tha beat tag… Also, no features are listed on these filenames, so I can’t tell… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse, and it’s pretty good ‘til you started sayin’, “gettin’ money,” a bunch of times… Ehh, but can’t deny this jam! I’m feelin’ tha 2nd verse, too, but why do I always have ta hear shit about dudes hatin’ on otha dudes? Gets boring afta a while! Also, thumbs down ta tha “money long” line. Heard that kinda line earlier this year, and only made $40!! $40’s “long”? See what I’m sayin’ about how tha lines affect me from my past! My Rating: 4.0

03. “You A Hoe”
>>> Jacked beat, here, wit Juvenile “Set It Off” beat. “Carter”? Let’s see this, as it seems like a ½ blind review… If this iz a “Dhat Fam” song, then my anticipation’s pretty low! Will neva forget when Gus disliked my Wne tribute video! Yuck @ my past; gotta get away from tha music world! Hearin’ tha 1st verse, and it sounds good except tha “money” shit. Damn, three songs in, and all three have a “money” reference? Can’t deny how this jams, though; likin’ that “middle fingaz up” on tha hook! Tha 2nd verse sounds nice; exposin’ this “faggot,” lol! I also like how this dude disses “love songs,” too! Yea, kill that soft rap! Turned out ta be real good fa me, overall!! My Rating: 4.5

04. “No Pity”
>>> EQ beat. This has a lil’ bit of a slower vibe to it; okay, so far, with okay rhymes… Was this a stolen beat or somethin’? Hearin’ too many beat tags throughout this, which can get on my nerves… Gettin’ a lil’ gay toward tha hook wit tha voice; bad hook! Tha 2nd verse sounds like a regular life from a regular person wit tha “textin’ my phone” shit. To me, that doesn’t differ a Baton Rouge sound; anyone can text! My Rating: 2.4

05. “This For My Niggaz”
>>> Really long intro of a speech that already has me unanticipated! Hearin’ tha 1st verse, and this has a Baton Rouge vibe, but tha beat’s a lil’ too slow fa me… Almost thought tha hook was gonna sound bad. Tha voice almost hints gayness, but it just passes; pretty good… Tha 2nd verse ain’t bad, here; sounds like this dude’s a fuck-up? My Rating: 3.8

06. “Write My Wrongs”
>>> Oh no! [Without sayin’ tha producer’s name, it’s time fa me ta act distracted!] Where’s my gurl, Halo, who can get me “faded”? Help!! Gotta luv her!! Anyway, to tha hook: Sounds catchy, from whoeva this iz. Tha 1st verse sounds good; I’m likin’ all tha “same” rhymes: “same house … same clothes;” nice! I feel it! Tha 2nd verse sounds like they try ta fit in. Tha “all my enemies” shit sounds like Tupac, and “locked up in tha studio” sounds like quantity ova quality… Then again, I like hearin’ this dude on tha 2nd verse, so it passes, overall! My Rating: 4.3

07. “Quit Hating”
>>> So far, this sounds hot; kinda gives me that Uptown Allstars vibe from ’07! I like bars 11 – 12 in tha 1st verse (I think it was those. If not, it’s 7 – 8); feelin’ tha flow! Tha hook sounds like an early 20-year-old’s vibe wit tha “suck a nigga dick” shit; definitely feelin’ tha attitude! Tha 2nd verse sounds like Doodie Da Juvie… Good shit; he doesn’t sound like he should rap like everyone else, though, wit tha “hating” and shit… My Rating: 4.4

08. “Leave Me Alone”
>>> Can’t really relate ta this kinda shit. I neva lost anyone. Wow, this iz a complete contradiction ta me! Tha “money” shit, tha “phone games” shit, tha “glock cocked” shit, and losing people? 0% me, all tha way, but it sounds nice… Tha 1st verse sounds like a good setup or somethin’. Tha “amnesia” / “will not forget you” line’s bad. People say they won’t “forget.” Meanwhile, I have tha fakest fans that have no idea what’s goin’ on with me… People neva remember anything about me, or wanna, smh! Tha 2nd verse sounds good, too, mainly ‘cause of tha beat helpin’ this dude out. My Rating: 4.2

09. “It’s Over With”
>>> This “Carter” dude and you, 1st Class… Good beat; sounds a lil’ different wit tha voice on tha hook, here… I guess this a good thing ‘cause I can’t complain, right now. I like tha “X-Box” part about how Carter “ain’t to be played!” Good 1st verse! Tha catchy vocals from tha hook’s on tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through wit catchy street shit. I like tha “all you niggaz pussy; you got nine lives” part, too! My Rating: 4.3

½time: So far, most of this iz great! Tha production’s really on lock and on a Baton Rouge level, which I’m feelin’! Funny thing iz, I have no idea what ta expect wit each joint, as tha artists aren’t listed! A B-Real could jump outta nowhere, and I’d have a heart attack; I wouldn’t know, beforehand! So far, this CD’s worth a 4.0 for tha CD rating!

10. “Glock On The Dresser”
>>> Really likin’ tha beat start (Beat Geeks)!! This “Carter” dude again; I’m likin’ tha street content, here, too! Sounds like some bad “fake” shit to deal with; why does err-body gotta be fake? Glad Carter exposin’ ‘em! Anotha obsession wit gunz, here… Sounds like they’re anticipatin’ death, here? Tha 2nd verse’s nice, too; almost sounds like a feature snuck in, as well! My Rating: 4.2

11. “Cut Up”
>>> Anotha “Carter” joint wit that Lil’ Tron dude on tha beat… Really feelin’ tha beat start; this sounds like it gon be a great gangsta joint! This sounds nice! I like tha “fuck you!” part on tha hook; shit’s tight! Tha 2nd verse iz anotha exposin’-soundin’ verse; good shit! I like tha “broker than a zero,” but I can’t tolerate tha “I be gettin’ money.” I wish no one claimed they were “gettin’ money!” My Rating: 4.4

12. “Zoo”
>>> I ain’t catch tha tag in tha beginning; let’s see what kinda animals gon come outta here… Sounds like a catchy hook, as well as tha beat soundin’ hot! I like tha effect on tha voice when it says, “fuck wit my niggaz.” Catchy rhymes on tha 1st verse, here, as well as tha delivery! Likin’ tha lyrics, too; “animals” iz right, just like I predicted! Ooh, some Wizard Of Oz references, too! Sounds like a young dude on tha 2nd verse, here… It ain’t bad; no deal-breaker rhymes, luckily, such as “money, money, money!” My Rating: 4.5

13. “Dead Or Alive”
>>> Anotha tag I couldn’t catch; why iz there all these tags? Tha “Carter” dude again… I’m feelin’ tha production, as it’s nice and slow, on a Baton Rouge tip! Sounds like this Carter dude’s just waitin’ ta die or somethin’, wit his rhymes? Seems scary. Bad start to tha 1st verse wit “a young nigga wit money;” not good! Hope some of that “money” comes my way, as far as a commercial or some beatz from me! Glad you expressin’ that “babies havin’ babies;” that’s what ruins a rapper’s focus!! Not inta tha 2nd verse, so far; sounds like what every “dude” wants to be ‘cool,’ smh. Wow, endin’ wit “so hungry for my plate, that I ate my fuckin’ spoon!” Crazy! My Rating: 4.3

14. “Situations”
>>> More “Carter”… Sounds like a really loud beat intro… An okay song, but tha beat’s loudness iz a lil’ annoying. Tha hook sounds like a Lloyd sample? Nothin’ too special, it sounds like… Tha 2nd verse has nothin’ special in it. I mean, I could prolly like these lyrics betta if it was a betta beat—without an annoying surround sound! My Rating: 2.5

15. “Grew Up With”
>>> More “Carter” with Mod Productions on tha beat… Ehh, don’t sing tha hook! Tha 1st verse’s kinda boring—oh wait, tha only verse, accordin’ to this length… Not really inta tha “money” rhymes, again. Real short, but not tha worst. My Rating: 3.3

16. “Out My Top”
>>> EQ beat. Again, too many tags = a stolen beat? Why does every rapper in Baton Rouge have ta have an “ol’ lady”? Either way, not bad, but because y’all most-likely stole this beat, tha repeatin’ of tha tags are annoying. Tha hook’s nice, and I’m feelin’ tha energy, at least! Oh, looka here: Big World on tha 2nd verse! Finally got one of tha features correct, but I won’t fix up all tha titles ‘til I know all of ‘em on all tha tracks! He can get away wit these kinda “throwin’ 1’s” shit ‘cause he a Down Bad affiliate! Good rhymes; I always feel how he comes through on tha track! Gotta luv ya, World! My Rating: 4.2

17. “Missed Calls”
>>> Lil’ Tron beat; yucky tag, again! But, good beat, it sounds like! Only 2:13 on tha length, so let’s see how much you can squeeze in, here… Ehh, too many girls. How you get all these girls? What’s wit tha popularity? Funny how you mentioned gettin’ “faded,” when I mentioned tha great song, “Faded”, earlier in this review! Tha hook sounds catchy wit tha “this fa all y’all who hatin’” shit. Even though I criticized tha girls beginning, I like this title. Though I like tha title, it’s prolly what every rapper in Baton Rouge should rap about ‘cause they’re good at ignoring people! Tha 2nd verse sounds catchy, too, and I like how tha beat goes in tha background durin’ tha 2nd hook! My Rating: 4.3

18. “PSA”
>>> I thought this was gonna be an interlude, but it’s a song… Beat sounds good/slower than usual, and it sounds like you havin’ fun or somethin’… Almost sounds like you’re attackin’ me (not directly) with, “Bitch, you 25, and you just gettin’ rims? Bitch, I’m 21…” Go’head and attack me wit a lot more ‘cause I’m “25,” and there’s plenty more of life I have to explore! Bein’ autistic, I grow slow, but I have two brainz! My Rating: 4.0

19. “Big Bank”
>>> Whoeva’s on tha 1st verse, they sound great. Sounds like tha intro wit tha “still gettin’ money” and “still gettin’ blunted” shit; a lil’ recycled…? Gotta luv when y’all say, “Big bank take lil’ bank!” Little did I know that tha hook would have it, too; catchy… Bad 2nd start wit tha “20 stacks in my jeans,” from whoeva this iz! Why haven’t I seen any? They should send me some “stacks” before they even attempt ta talk ta me ‘cause they should know how valuable I am!! Despite tha beginning of tha verse, I felt tha verse; they came through nicely! My Rating: 4.4

Overall: I thought this was a nice lil’ CD, courtesy of F.A.N. Entertainment! Though I wasn’t sure who tha Carter dude was, as well as some of tha features on here, 1st Class Carson put together a nice lil’ disc! Feelin’ tha vibes, and there were some interesting topics on this CD! Keep survivin’ and hangin’ in there!!
