Review #1,568: Ca$h "Dreaming Of The Outside"

Reviewed on 10.05.2016 (Review #1,568)

Here come da reviewz! Outta Monroe, I have Ca$h Dreaming Of The Outside next, released in 1997 on Mastermind Records & was produced by Dale Lynch, Jonathon St. Andrews & Cray-Z! Start Time: 3:43 PM | End Time: 4:01 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. “Dreaming Of The Outside (Radio)” feat. Big Al & Tameka
Just a radio version? >>> I like this slow, dark vibe of tha ‘90s but I’m not big about tha singin’ on tha hook… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds a lil’ betta wit tha rappin’, stuck in tha “cell.” Tha 2nd verse decent, but I honestly can’t take tha singin’ background vocals, at times! Tha 3rd verse iz Tameka singin’…; decent fa this track, I’d say… My Rating: 3.7

02. “Dreaming Of The Outside (Instrumental)” feat. Big Al & Tameka
See #1 fa tha review!

03. “Way Down South (Club Mix)” feat. Reggie Wesley
>>> This vibe kinda like tha last song, only it’s a lil’ more upbeat… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it’s ehh… Hearin’ tha hook and I’m just not too inta this kinda shit… Tha rest of this iz ehh, too… My Rating: 3.1

½time: Not too inta this soul-southern feel…; a 3.4-rated tape, at tha moment…

04. “Way Down South (Instrumental)” feat. Reggie Wesley
See #3 fa tha review!

05. “Feel My Pain” feat. Duane
>>> More of a singin’ hook, here…; ehh… Tha beat’s mid-speed and sounds okay… Tha whole entire rhymes was ehh… My Rating: 2.8

06. “Sneak Peep Of Album”
>>> More of that soul-south feel fa me fa tha 1st track… Tha 2nd track ain’t sound too bad, too… Hearin’ tha 3rd track and it sounds darker… Tha singin’ on this one’s at least a lil’ dark and eerie; tha rappin’ sounds nice, too… My Combined Rating: 3.6

Overall: I think this tha least-rated one outta tha reviewz I’ve done within tha past two weeks… I’ono, I just wasn’t too crazy about tha singin’/soul vibes…
