Tryin’ to catch up wit these reviewz… I got like 26, 27 ta go and I wanna complete them before I go back into my Louisiana Reviewz Marathon on May 1. Now then, lemme get into it! Here goes my review for Konfo “Year Of The Wolf”! Start Time: 1:12 PM | End Time: 1:59 PM


Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it) so any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

Tha start ta this mixtape… Let’s see what we got here! >>> Luv tha wolf intro here. Glad tha intro was pretty long although there’s only a lil’ ova a minute left… I’m DEFINITELY feelin’ your start to tha verse wit tha “desert” part; gr8 rhymes to tha fullest!! This iz DEFINITELY an anticipatin’/gr8 intro track, ya dig! You REALLY held it down here!! My Rating: 4.5


02. “Full Effect”
Anotha song only a lil’ ova a minute long… >>> Now, I see where tha title came from (tha original version to this song). Those 2002/2003 college radio listenin’ dayz when I was 14 and had no stations up here in Northeast PA… I can feel your flow and how you come through on tha track! I picture you flowin’ wit your hands and your mouth movin’ like crazy when you deliver this shit! Quick-ass ending but GR8 since you said, “Give a FUCK about these rappers!!” My Rating: 4.4


03. “Everywhere I Go” Feat. Lou & Coop
Lookin’ forward once again (and this joint has a full length of 4:43 this time)! >>> Speakin’ of tha last title (“Full Effect”), this beat start sounds like it’s DEFINITELY in full effect! Howeva: Not feelin’ tha A-Tune. A lil’ catchy but scares me on first catch, especially if it’s from you, on a lyrical tip! This sounds completely mainstream… Oh wait, that must’ve been a featured person? You’re here on tha 1st verse at around tha :50ish mark; MUCH betta!! Glad you’re gettin’ me back in review mode as I’ve been too behind! I’m REALLY feelin’ tha set of F-words at 1:44 (“franty frantic…”); REAL tight rhymes!! Now, you’re comin’ through hard again on tha track on tha 2nd verse! Of course, you’re “two weeks past ‘em!” I also like tha “lookin’ at your grave” part; VERY nice here on tha 2nd verse!! VERY catchy rhymes on this shit right here!! LOL @ tha “now she on that dike shit;” what a quotable 2nd verse!! Sounds like a cool beat outro goin’ on here! Nice cold ending to it too! My Rating: 4.2


04. “Money On My Mental” Feat. Rude & Coop
Likin’ that there’s a collaboration and tha title here!! DEFINITELY lookin’ forward ta this!! >>> Cool start to tha beat but why anotha A-Tune start? I like dat Vybe did this beat so it’s gonna be official… when tha rappin’ comes on! More like it…; tha 1st verse iz here! Good shit bein’ spit here; a lil’ slower flow than you, Konfo; sounds good fa a feature! DEFINITELY for tha streetz here so that’s a big plus! Tha 2nd verse from you iz here and it’s continuin’ tha flow’s rhythm as it’s slow; good shit! Gotta luv you “rollin’ up tha blunt” to tha fullest, you know! You DEFINITELY luv dat “blunt” as you talked about it twice in your verse! My Rating: 3.9


05. “AZ “The Truth” Freestyle”
An AZ freestyle? Let’s see… >>> A lot goin’ on here for tha beginning… LOL @ tha howl in tha beginning. Even though this ain’t my style of a beat for tha beginning, I easily know you’re gonna tear it up!! Looks like I’m on a correct track so far as you got tha rhymes on lock! Pretty good but a lil’ too short fa me ta like it even more… My Rating: 3.6


06. “New Orleans At Its Best” Feat. Coop
Looks like this gon be good!! >>> Anotha Philly-based beat here. It was a long time ago so I don’t rememba what this one iz. I still mix it wit tha Freeway/Peedi Crakk/Young Gunz style. Tha rhymes are REAL nice in tha 1st verse; lots of shit goin’ on here which iz REAL gr8!! Tha rest of tha 1st verse iz comin’ through consistently once again! I hope there ain’t a two minute outro on this…; can’t be this long? Oh, a beat change at 2:15; much weaker beat, sadly. Tha rhymes sound more catchy on this beat than tha last one; that’s ironic. Pretty quick verse and now, tha following verse: You still got tha consistent style on lock here wit buku shit goin’ on! My Rating: 4.1


07. “Drink” Feat. Coop
What’ll this be like? >>> Regular length wit a slow start. It sounds like it’s pickin’ up at :12; I picture this soundin’ mainstream. Oh no, tha weird A-Tune start again. Konfo, get your rappin’ on ASAP!! This iz a good hook though wit its content, I must say. You’re spittin’ some Summer-type rhymes; wish it was LA weather now. It’s sadly in tha 40’s and in LA, it’s like 80’s; I’m jealous! Good job wit tha 1st verse as you KNOW how ta spit dat catchy shit fa err-body ta pay attention to! “Wetter than Atlantis,” lol!! GR8 start to tha 2nd verse; you doin’ it fa tha ladies here! You didn’t source tha rapper on tha 3rd verse… As for his verse, it fits tha song and iz aight fa me. My Rating: 3.8


08. “For You” Feat. Kara Mann
Looks familiar… *Checks* Yup, it iz. A lil’ different for a start. I thought tha featured artist came up first but it’s you wit your cool rappin’ voice! Pretty good 1st verse… Oh, now here’s tha hook wit tha female. She sounds gr8 on tha mic and I like how tha title repeats. LOL, it has a Baton Rouge repetitive hook formula, lol! When I say dat, I mean that tha 2nd ½ of tha hook repeats (mainly tha title); good shit! Tha 2nd verse flowed pretty good too. Some real relationship shit goin’ on in tha 3rd verse; glad you added it to tha song too. Also a nice cold ending on tha end too! My Current Rating: 3.8


½time: You doin’ ya thang on this mixtape; not one song I would skip! Keep tha HOT rhymes comin’!! Average CD rating of 4.0 currently!


09. “Invented Sex Freestyle”
This looks real catchy on tha title but it’s less than a minute long? >>> Okay fa a start but you sound a lil’ odd on tha voice and unexpected flow here. You REALLY went ta “beat tha pussy up” so quickly without two lines passin’, lol. My Rating: 3.2


10. “Can I Talk To You” Feat. Duplessis
I’m predicting anotha A-Tune attack… >>> Not on tha A-Tune tip but on tha 90’s R&B tip. I don’t think I need to hear this revived. Good thing for your tight rhymes that don’t stop but tha vibe of tha song iz what I can’t get into. Tha 2nd verse ain’t bad; not that catchy for me though. My Rating: 2.7


11. “Feelin’ It Freestyle”
Oh no, tell me this iz a Jay-Z freestyle… >>> It iz and again, not my vibe at all. Plus, tha length iz real short so you betta do ya thang on this ta keep tha rating a lil’ alive! Okay, you got tha tight rhymes again on tha 1st verse here! Good definition of bein’ “from tha N.O.;” thumbs up! Tha 2nd verse sounds pretty good too; not much ta say though. My Rating: 3.1


12. “So Gone” Feat. Coop
>>> Okay, much betta wit tha Monica beat! Doesn’t sound like you in tha beginning though on this short freestyle. Pretty cool that there’s a 2010 freestyle on this beat! Tha 1st rapper was pretty good and you sound like you stand out on this one; good job. You’re sayin’ at tha end, “Download my new mixtape, ‘Brainstorm’;” so this song iz before then? Must be… My Rating: 3.4


13. “Divine Essence”
Looks good on tha title but what can I expect on anotha real short length? >>> A lil’ too quiet in tha beat fa this one. Some of these almost remind me of skits instead of freestyles when I hear all tha talkin’ in tha beginning. Tha flow iz a lil’ different here but it’s more explanatory wit how you deliver tha rhymes. This iz pretty good and I like tha short verse; good job on tha rhymes! My Rating: 3.7


14. “Rocked Out”
Now, what iz this? >>> Somebody’s showin’ you luv in tha beginning. Again, this gave me a skit feel for tha beginning but it’s anotha freestyle. Shit yea, you GOIN’ OFF on this shit!! DEFINITELY feelin’ this flow here and even down to tha rhymes!!! Must be tha top song on here!! Pretty good for a comeback here on anotha short song!! Kinda short but it’s a plus!! My Rating: 4.6


15. “Ignant Shit” Feat. Coop
LOL @ this title! >>> More short freestyles. A familiar freestyle from not too long ago (I think). You goin’ off on this beat too; feelin’ this! Tha rhymes stopped at :34? It has ta be longer… Well, anotha rapper hopped onto tha track (again, no source?). I REALLY like tha “Aaliyah ‘Rock The Boat’” line and “smoke iz tropical” part dat rhymes wit it too!! My Rating: 4.3


16. “What You Want” Feat. Lou & Coop
Finally, a real length! >>> Sounds like a kush-related topic in tha beginning! I wonder exactly what it iz… Tha hook iz catchy right here too! It sounds like tha hook iz more on a pill-related topic? If so, DEFINITELY you get props! Now, I hear tha 1st verse and I hear “weed colors” so there’s a bunch of shit goin’ on here!! Even down to tha “Mario” part too; lots of consistent attention here! Yea, tha hook on tha pill-type wit tha “dolphins on tha front” and tha other part wit “smiley faces.” Here you are on tha 2nd verse; damn!! You just emerge on tha track like it’s nothin’; feelin’ this shit right here to tha fullest!! Glad it ain’t just a few bars! I feel like I’m likin’ each rapper more and more as they come through on tha track!! Tha 3rd verse has a GR8 start wit tha GR8 Rap feel right here!! Gotta luv it!! My Rating: 4.5


17. “Hold Your Applause (Outro)” Feat. Coop
Shit, a song (tha least rated) from tha last CD to end it off… Sounds like a different kinda Hip-Hop beat here and it sounds pretty good. I like your voice on this one and you’re flowin’ good on this shit! Sorry ta say about your boy Coop but his Auto-Tune attempt failed fa me; luckless hook! Much betta: You on tha 1st verse! You got some good content goin’ on here in tha 2nd verse! LOL, only a few bars? I guess it was cool ta at least hear you a 2nd time on this song though! LOL, very cold ending? My Current Rating: 3.7

Overall: I enjoyed you on this CD; DEFINITELY a nice way ta get back inta motion here! Keep up tha rappin’ and keep doin’ tha damn thang, ya feel me!
