FINALLY, a day off!! FrankieThaLuckyDog goes in beast-review-mode today!! Most of tha reviewz today no less are gonna be hard copies of CDs I got so thumbs up ta tha REAL people sendin’ me shit in tha mail; keep it comin’!! This 1st CD for today iz from J Fletcha Da Beast, who I found out from Jay Regal. I’m glad to know dat there’s two CDs in this package; tha otha one I’ll review after this one! For now, let’s get into this anticipated project: “Excuse My French (Da Mixtape)”! Oh and yesterday, I discovered dat sayin’ “red stick” in French iz “Baton Rouge,” wit a symbol above tha a, lol! Start Time: 10:25 AM | End Time: 12:02 PM


Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it) so any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. Lil’ Gatorboi Intro
Let’s hear what this “boi” has ta offer here for tha start of this mixtape!! >>> Kinda weird wit tha weird voice… Not sure what ta say; lol @ tha arguin’ at tha end. Tha “excuse my French” part worked good at tha end. My Rating: N/A


02. “I Got A Whole Lott” Feat. Iceman “Da Lyricist”
I don’t know which one to follow… Tha tracklisting on tha CD or tha one on DatPiff? I’m prolly easily gonna go wit tha one on tha CD itself ‘cause I see a featured artist. Both say it’s produced by DJ B-Real so thumbs up on tha production credit! I think we gon start tha mixtape off wit a BANG! >>> Tha start almost sounds like Mookie Blakk “Rocky Balboa” wit tha beat (which X-Fyle produced) but this has a nice, RAW style for tha start so far!!! REAL GLAD ta have this music in my hands!! You sound REAL TIGHT on tha hook here and tha beat has a NICE Mouse (“Wipe Me Down”) and Savage (“They Hate My”) vibe to it; REAL GR8 tri-combination!! Sounds like this gon be a REAL GR8 single and song for my radio show! I hope it randomly lands on it tomorrow when I have it on shuffle!! You doin’ tha damn thang on tha 1st verse; just J Fletcha’d out lyrics/rhymes here, comin’ through REAL strong!!! I wonder what this featured artist gon sound like… I guess I gotta wait ‘cause you holdin’ it down on tha 2nd verse too! Just your gutta/dark voice makes tha flowin’ and rhymes real interestin’ and hot, ya dig!! Tha featured artist finally iz here on tha 3rd verse and I can tell (based off his voice) dat he iz real cool wit you. He’s just as good as you wit tha rhymes and tha flowin’! REAL GR8 start ta this mixtape!!! My Rating: 4.8


03. “This That Shit” Feat. Jamila
Why iz it only 1:42? Either way, “this prolly dat shit,” regardless! >>> LOL, no wonder tha length: “Ice Cream Paint Job” beat this time. It almost sounded like an old beat in tha beginning at first, lol. As far as what you’re spittin’ here, DEFINITELY luvin’ it!! You got a REAL gr8 voice fa this undaground Louisiana Rap shit! Cool rhymes here once again! LOL @ tha “Scooby Doo” part; you doin’ tha damn thang! Ooh, tha hook sounds GR8; luv tha rhythm and tha Jamila gurl! My Rating: 4.3


04. “Dreads Freshly Twisted”
Dot Com Beatz on tha beat here. I thought their name was familiar but I just realized they’re tha ones dat uploaded this to DatPiff so that’s where I know their name from. Anyway, I like a title like this; should DEFINITELY be interestin’ wit an original beat!! >>> LOL @ tha hook style; feelin’ tha screwed/chopped style! Ooh, tha beat sounds hotter @ :33!! Too much consistency goin’ on here!! No wonder why I burned tha CD onto my computer before I played it! You spittin’ some hot, daily hood rhymes here in tha 1st verse; REALLY enjoyin’ it ova this beat!! You keepin’ this shit pumpin’ on tha 2nd verse here, rappin’ to tha fullest! I like tha singin’ in tha background durin’ tha last 45 seconds too; DEFINITELY nothin’ but PLUSES here!! My Rating: 4.6


05. “King Ding-A-Ling”
No beat production so I’m assumin’ it’s gonna be a jacked beat. Then again, it has 4:02 on tha length so let’s see what’s really what’s up! >>> Sounds like tha same producer from tha last song (based off tha tag—Dot Com Beatz). This DEFINITELY iz a HOT beat start!! I’m DEFINITELY feelin’ this one too!! Tha hook DEFINITELY on some HOT-ASS shit!!! REAL NICE hood-feel rhymes in tha 1st verse; you DEFINITELY got tha streetz on lock to tha fullest!!! Tha 2nd verse iz pretty consistent here; it almost sounds like it blended consistently from tha 1st verse; good shit! Even a 3rd verse fit on here and sounds good too; TOO consistent here!!! My Rating: 4.5


06. “Bob Ya Head” Feat. Poop & D.O.T.
This looks like it gon be good; anotha Dot Com Beatz production I predict? >>> LOL, tha dude dat said, “Turn me down in tha headphones a lil’ bit,” sounded like he was really fulla dat shit, lol! You said it: “Dot Com on tha track;” I’m correct! REAL catchy beat once again (REAL TIGHT production you have)!! Tha hook sounds gr8 once again; tha lady backin’ up tha vocals sounds gr8 on tha hook too! You’re on tha 1st verse here and you soundin’ good fa tha track once again; NEVA disappointin’!! I like tha “dawg” parts and then rhymed wit tha “microphone” part; catchy shit once again! You’re ALWAYS tha center of attention when catchin’ peoples’ attention; FUCKIN’ LUVIN’ THIS MIXTAPE!!!!! Thumbs up to your “oochie cooch” line in tha 2nd verse; shout out to Tha Cooch, formerly at my college!! Why’d you have ta transfer outta nowhere?? So, Poop iz tha featured gurl and D.O.T. iz tha featured rapper on tha 3rd verse; let’s see what we got… Shit yea, he’s got a NICE voice fa this shit and he flows GR8 on this beat!! Nice “Blu Cantrell” line and tha ending’s REAL, REAL TIGHT wit tha “my hands dirty only when I touch a handrail” part; amazin’ rappers here!!! My Rating: 4.4


07. “Now Or Never” Feat. Lil’ Sleepy
Keep tha newbies comin’, Fletcha!! Also, keep tha Dot Com Beatz comin’!! Glad this iz tha 4th one in a row!!! >>> Wit only 2:37 on tha length, I can GUARANTEE you and tha featured rapper gon TEAR THIS SHIT UP!!! I hear tha hook now and it DEFINITELY gives me a REAL GR8 vibe fa undaground Rap music!!! If dat’s tha featured artist on tha hook and tha 1st verse, he DEFINITELY tha shit on this beat!!! Too hot here as he just doin’ tha damn thang wit how he’s comin’ through on tha mic!! There weren’t dat many bars but he did a GR8 job contributin’!! It’s fading at 1:18? Oh, that was just a trick for 10 seconds; here you are, Fletcha, on tha 2nd verse! I like how you’re comin’ through on this shit; “narcotic” style? Was dat what I heard? That’s watz good if I heard correct!! You DEFINITELY have this shit on L-O-C-K-K-K-K!!!!! My Rating: 4.6


08. “Super-D-Duper” Feat. Queen Hillary
LOL, I did tha “K-K-K-K” like Lil’ Scrappy on tha last song’s feedback and now, you got tha “D-Duper,” lol; psychic feelings? This time, you got Premeditated Soundz on tha beat so you KNOW there’s a psychic feelin’ in my mind dat… THIS GON BE HOT TOO!!! >>> …And it looks like I’m correct; beat intro iz on point ta where tha sounds catch your attention! What more could I ask for wit this mixtape? It just KEEPS GOIN’!!! You showin’ buku luv (REAL GOOD on this beat) to tha ladies here; definitely feelin’ it! You REAL hungry fa these ladies here; “cheesecake.” Definitely feelin’ all your songs right here, ya dig! You’re good wit puttin’ tha females in tha background on these kinda songs when it comes to tha hooks; they sound gr8! You keepin’ this shit goin’ wit tha 2nd verse here; dumb shit to tha fullest!! Ooh, tha female came through and unleashed herself for tha 3rd verse here, rappin’ style!! She sounds hot on tha mic and hot as her image too! My Rating: 4.1


09. “Do Dat Dance” Feat. T-Tyrant
LOL, I was watchin’ Deal Or No Deal last night and tha lady kept pickin’ cases dat had “1’s” in tha amounts. Now, I feel like there’s buku letter-letters, lol (e.g., tha last song had D-D and now, tha featured artist has T-T). LOL, ANYTHING ta make me happy and get my attention, lol!! I usually stereotype these kinda titles but based off this mixtape so far, I think we gon continue tha consistency without bein’ gay!! Dot Com Beatz did tha track again so you KNOW this ain’t gonna disappoint in any way… hopefully! >>> See, I’m not disappointed fa tha start; likin’ this shit fa a start! Anotha REAL GR8 beat for tha start and I like tha background wit tha title repeatin’ as well as you addin’ to tha hook too! You’re doin’ tha damn thang on tha 1st verse here, makin’ a dancin’ song not be gay, finally! This shit DEFINITELY sounds good and I like tha “izzle” shit at tha end of each name/letter too, lol! I hear tha 2nd verse and it’s kinda gettin’ a lil’ gay wit tha gay dances mentioned. It ain’t stoppin’ my reputation for me likin’ it though. No 3rd hook but T-Tyrant emerged on tha verse just now… Not bad but nothin’ much to comment about. Shout out ta him fa shoutin’ out his city, “Baton Rouge!” I wanna hear him on anotha track; he would prolly be betta/I would like him more! My Rating: 4.2


10. “The P’s”
I predicted a skit but it’s a 1:34 length song; must be a jacked beat quickie… Tha title reminds me of my boy Dirt (from my college)’s “Curse Of The M’s” song, where I think he kept dating people wit M’s in their names (or somethin’ like dat)? LOL, what will your “P’s” be about? >>> “P’s” all ova tha place here on tha “Break Up” beat; good shit for a quickie!! Now, it’s remindin’ me of tha DJ Kayslay/Papoose “Alphabetical Slaughter” from 2004!! So many “P’s” to keep up wit; I’m glad you have A SHIT LOAD goin’ on here!!! ROFL @ tha “pack my penis” ending; dumb shit!!! My Rating: 4.7


½time: Well, they say, “Good things come to those who wait.” Whether or not it took me 1.5 months to get tha chance to review this, I must say dat it’s OFF THA CHAIN!!! VERY, VERY CONSISTENT HERE!!! It makes me LUV what I do fa Baton Rouge EVEN MORE!!! Keep up tha good work wit your FIYA-ASS 4.5 average CD rating for tha ½ point!!!


11. “Bayou Boi Musik”
Representin’ to tha fullest!! I wonder who did this beat? >>> Sounds jacked (from like a year ago); it iz. I gotta think of what it iz but either way, you sound like you’re doin’ yo thang on this! Real nice rhymes goin’ on here in tha 1st verse; you doin’ tha damn thang here!! Even though not an original beat, I’m glad it still fits wit tha vibe on this mixtape! Glad you gonna “take advantage of this opportunity time,” ya dig! I like tha “breaking tha mold/buku people” part; nice shit! You did ya thang on this beat right here to tha fullest! Good shit; lookin’ forward ta some mo shit! There’s a bunch left on this mixtape!! My Rating: 4.3

12. “Crack Fiend”
This’ll be good; what you got wit this one? >>> I had a feelin’ it was gonna be a jacked beat. A lil’ on tha weird side wit tha “Prom Queen” beat; maybe you can make it a betta song? Yes, soundin’ betta so far wit NO A-Tune!! Interestin’ story here about this “crack fiend.” A lyrical song (no less on a jacked beat) that ACTUALLY sounds good and NOT depressin’!! I like how you say tha title; it has tha Baton Rouge formula in it (wit repeatin’ a part/title on tha 2nd ½ of tha hook), no less on a non-BR beat! This tha type of shit dat my Modern Belief/Morality teacher would play to show tha class somethin’; she luvs her Hip-Hop! My Rating: 4.4


13. “Mr. Killamanjaro”
Different here… Mittenberg did tha beat and and I don’t know why (I guess ‘cause tha “aro” at tha end of tha title) but tha title almost makes me think it’s gonna be on Lady GaGa’s “Alejandro” beat but that’s a no ‘cause it’s an original production. It looks like “killa” in tha title so shouldn’t there be two l’s? Lemme really find out what’s goin’ on here; lookin’ real forward!!! >>> Sounds like a REAL good start wit you rockin’ to tha beat’s rhythm. Yea, I’ll add an “l” in tha title. I like your rhymin’ here; catchy shit here on this catchy beat! Your production ALWAYS gives me a good vibe!! Ooh, a “5, 4, 3, 2, 1;” what’ll it lead to? Almost sounds like Kevin Gates now (at tha 1:30ish mark) for a second. Real consistent here wit non-stop rappin’! I like your “I’m a volcano” part here; thanx fa tha catchy shit! My Rating: 4.2


14. “Horyuken”
Keepin’ these VERY interestin’ titles comin’ along!!! Back to tha Dot Com Beatz so you know what dat means… 100% HOTNE$$!!! >>> ROFL @ tha sample and its attempt to yell or somethin’, lol! You guys DEFINITELY have GR8 chemistry when it comes ta combinin’!! It’s like, you need tha rapper and you NEED tha producer!! You sound like you rappin’ some pretty good shit here; always keepin’ my interest up! BTW, you look like Jim Jones (from far away) on your CD itself. Tha 2nd verse keepin’ tha hotness comin’; always interest comin’ yo way! I didn’t expect there to be a 3rd verse when you were singin’ tha title for a lil’ bit but there’s anotha verse and it’s a lil’ betta here; likin’ tha rhymes! My Rating: 4.2


15. “Persuasion”
Anotha interestin’ title; keep ‘em comin’!! You got tha beat masterz on here (a.k.a. Dot Com Beatz) so you KNOW what I’m anticipatin’!!! >>> Yea, you do “have persuasion!” Sounded like a lil’ long intro at first but tha hook came in and I’m feelin’ it!! DEFINITELY always inta what you got goin’ on here, ya dig!! Tha 1st verse has REAL HOT rhymes comin’ outta my speakers and tha beat kicks REAL good!! Tha hook DEFINITELY iz tha truth!! Based off of what I do, I got BUKU “persuasion;” fuck tha lack of my attention in front of typical people!! “I got persuasion!!” Mo good shit comin’ through on tha 2nd verse here; keep doin’ tha damn thang, my dawg! I look forward ta hittin’ your phone up later on today when I get these reviewz outta my way! My Rating: 4.6


16. “Oooh Aaahh” Feat. Whomp
Oh shit, you got E.P. on tha track!! I think dat’s tha dude who produced some GR8 shit (anotha GR8 CD by tha way) for my boy Dirty Harry (check out “Residue;” MORE consistentness)!! This should DEFINITELY be GR8, no matter what direction it’s goin’!! >>> I had a feelin’ it was gonna be for tha ladies; ROFL @ tha start wit “Damn, girl, you got me nuttin’ on myself;” ROFL!!! LMFAO!!! As for a slow song, it DEFINITELY sounds 100% GR8 here wit tha orgasmish hook! It goes ta show you how ladies REALLY lure out attractions!! You got a lil’ bit of a C-Murder start here on tha 1st verse wit your voice; likin’ this style here!! You KNOW I luv tha explicitness when it’s for tha ladies vs. tha typical “I got hoes, I got hoes” shit! Tha 2nd verse has more consistentness here; CAN’T deny this shit!! Tha 3rd verse must be Whomp, who ALSO iz extremely engaged in this sexual event/song!! DEFINITELY feelin’ what he’s got goin’ on here!! Even tha beat outro iz 47 seconds; DEFINITELY works this time unlike when I see artists havin’ like 80 seconds of a beat outro fa a boring reason! My Rating: 4.7


17. “I Got Soul” Feat. Dirty Harry
HOLY SHIT, I thought I saw a fuckin’ mirage!!!!! I got a case of tha psychic feel again!!! Previously, wit tha “K’s/D’s/T’s” and now, Dirty Harry!! I’m breakin’ out a smile just to show you how FUCKIN’ GLAD I feel dat Dirty Harry’s on this shit!!! And even Dot Com Beatz on tha track so this should be BIG!!! Almost like CD $ale$: Should do BIG numbaz!!!!! >>> I had no clue what to expect for this kinda song but tha beginning sounds like tha keys to Fragma’s “Forever And A Day;” shit yea at all these thoughts!!! REALLY feelin’ tha long beat intro here wit my BIG DAWG Dirty Harry in tha beginning wit his “bwoy” shit!! And speakin’ of him, he starts tha 1st verse off here, doin’ tha damn thang!!! You and this CD are READIN’ MY MIND!!! DEFINITELY some mo gutta-ass shit from my boy Dirty Harry here on tha 1st verse; fuckin’ luv him ta death!!!!! Tha beat DEFINITELY iz CRAZY!!! Prolly one of tha best on here too!! Regardless if there was an identifyable hook or not, it’s REAL HOT fa what it iz!!! Sometimes tha songs wit unidentifyable hooks turn out ta be surprises in tha end!! You doin’ tha damn thang on tha 2nd verse here, spittin’ some hood shit fa this!! You must luv Dirty Harry too, ya dig! Now, at almost three minutes in, I hear tha title and it sounds good on here! You sound betta on tha 3rd verse here, doin’ tha damn thang!! I hear Dirty Harry randomly too; I just recorded me doin’ a review for his “Residue” live on YouTube earlier Sunday and it’s an asset ta be online! And as fa this song, I thought tha B-Real production was gonna be my #1 but this just overlapped it in a tie breaker!!! My Rating: 4.8


18. “The Dedication Outro”
Outro on #18? What’s tha remainin’ two songs? Radio versions? That’s my prediction (or maybe you talkin’ at tha end and one radio version). This iz one of tha more longer ones wit 4:38 on tha length and E.P. iz back on tha track so you KNOW it’s a PLUS wit tha Dirty Harry producer!!! >>> Sounds like one of those kinda celebration-type beats… I wasn’t sure how to accept tha beat at first ‘til I heard dat it’s for “all your dawgs on lockdown;” err-body in jail, hold ya headz!! Free Yung Yola, K.O., Uncle T, D.$.G., Lil’ Boosie & Young Gregory!!! I made an Easter egg fa y’all (and I included you in my 179 Louisiana shout outs eggs, Fletcha)! Tha 1st verse sounds good fa what this song iz, ya dig. You got a good supply here and this iz a pretty good ending song fa this mixtape; *sad voice* can’t believe it’s ending!! Tha 2nd verse has some mo of dat real shit, ya dig! Tha 3rd verse has a motivational step in tha content so thumbs up ta you! You DEFINITELY keepin’ me interested all tha way (without bein’ bored)!! Tha outro iz about a minute long so I can see this bein’ tha last actual song… Good job on tha shout outs too right chea, ya dig. My Rating: 4.2


19. “Like The White Bois” Feat. Queen Hillary, T-Tyrant & Whomp
Looks like you were just able to fit this on tha CD (you were runnin’ outta space). Looks like a Dirty Harry kinda title wit tha “boi” in it. *Checks DatPiff* It says bonus and there’s a listing of people… *Checks* Good thing tha DatPiff tracklisting got more descriptive! Let’s see what all y’all got fa this one!! >>> OMG, aww shit!!! ROFL @ tha Plies sample; gonna die laughin’!!! Dot Com Beatz, you a FOOL fa dis one!!!!! You’re on tha 1st verse and you have a Dirty Harry vibe wit your flow here (tha “boi” part) and you doin’ ya thang on this beat! LOL, THA HOOK!!! Now, we got tha queen on tha 2nd verse, continuin’ from where she left off on tha previous feature. Not bad on her verse here; it’s aight. Now, I get ta hear T-Tyrant on a betta level here. He’s on tha 3rd verse and he doin’ tha damn thang!! Glad he has a lil’ bit of Dirty Harry in his flow too; it’s a Dirty Harry world!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Dirty Harry 4 LIFE!!!!! DEFINITELY a nice job from him and I believe tha Whomp dude on tha next part; pretty good from him. This iz a thumbs up here wit all tha people on it! My Rating: 4.5


20. “Saints Blues”
Just you this time on tha official ending/bonus song… Dot Com Beatz handlin’ this so let’s see tha ending!! >>> A lil’ smooth for anotha ending. Soundin’ a lil’ betta wit tha beat at :33. LOL @ this anthem right chea; and yea, they won tha Superbowl, lol! It sounds like it fits New Orleans’s whole Jazz movement. Finally, I’m hearin’ you on tha 1st verse at 1:15 and you have a creative, catchy flow here, lol! DEFINITELY much more upliftin’ here, ya dig!! Tha hook sounds cool too; this whole song iz VERY interestin’!! Tha 2nd verse has more catchy shit here, ya dig. Ooh, a conversation towards tha end… Catchy ending, ya dig! My Rating: 4.4


Overall: Not only did you save me 30 minutes of takin’ silence off tha beginning/endings of each song (which I do for my iPod) but you REALLY did tha DAMN THANG on here!!!!! A bunch of shit surprised me and you just kept it real tha WHOLE WAY ‘ROUND!!! Dirty Harry was tha BIGGEST surprise and I LUV your production, ya dig!!! DEFINITELY a 5* rated CD since all tha ratings were 4.0 and higher!!! I think you’re tha 1st one this year ta do dat!! You DEFINITELY here to stay, fa’eva!!! Keep doin’ tha damn thang and makin’ dis REAL, REAL HOT MUSIC!!!!!
