Review #1,676: Hacky Moe "5-4 Representin' That 9"

Reviewed on 3.12.2017 (Review #1,676)

Happy 46th day in a row of reviewin’ CDs & Happy Birthday to my mom!! Well, well, well! I was ‘pose to do this review this morning! However, I set my alarm for 2:30 AM & it got me up at 3:30 AM, so I had to get to work, ASAP! I left my house just seven minutes after I got up! Of course, tha day tha clocks go forward, tha next review’s shorter than gettin’ up an extra hour earlier, smh! So now, lemme get to this: Hacky Moe 5-4 Representin’ That 9, released in 1998 on G-Town Records! Start Time: 4:39 PM | End Time: 5:12 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. “Get Buck (Intro) / 5-4 (Street)”
NO WONDER WHY I AIN’T GET UP ON TIME!!! Tha length to tha 1st track’s 3:26, lol!! Smh!! >>> Just sounds like a regular bounce track, here; nothin’ special… My Rating: 3.2

02. “Wo Na Lil’ Watie” feat. Mr. 1-8-7
>>> Nothin’ special wit this beat but it’s all about tha “5-0-4” representation, here… Diggin’ tha 5-0-4 hustle but a lil’ more excitement coulda been added to this production or somethin’… My Rating: 3.5

03. “Puff Puff Give / Fire!”
>>> Nice beginning, here, wit tha “puff puff, give” shit, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s decent but these productions are too plain! Tha rest of this iz whateva; I don’t need to comment… My Rating: 3.7

04. “Soljaz Represent”
>>> Typical sampled rap beat, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and I’m diggin’ tha extra energy, this time… My Rating: 3.8

½time: A 3.6-rated CD, here; not bad, but tha production lackin’…

05. “Heaven 4 Gz-N-Soljaz”
>>> Production kinda ehh but I’m feelin’ tha dark, undaground vibe, here… My Rating: 3.6

06. “G-Town”
>>> Decent beat, here; not bad for tha verses and okay vibe, here… I’ono, but these last few reviewz I’ve done, I’ve had no mood for… My Rating: 3.5

07. “Fire! (Radio)”
See #3 fa tha review…

08. Shout Outs
>>> Nice shout outs, includin’ this decent beat…

Overall: I’ono, I wasn’t tha craziest about this… Coulda had betta production…
