Happy
50th day in a row of reviewin’ CDs & only 10 more dayz till my
dream comes true!! Still dealin’ with tha bad snowstorm but hopefully, it’s
almost over! Here goes my next review: King
George Presents Concrete Jungle,
released in 1998 on WRAP Records, Me & Mine Entertainment & Highness
Records! Looks like a compilation… Start
Time: 1:51 AM | End Time: 2:51 AM
Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0
– 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!
I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long
as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and
then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a
song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6
rating, I pretty much really love it,
as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I
hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type
before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything
after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening
to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your
vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’
topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

02.
King George feat. Side Industry & Gene-O “Concrete Jungle”
Nick Peace & Black Diamond production… >>> Nice lil’ beginning, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds like a nice lil’ laidback, West Coast-soundin’ joint, here… And, tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ decent, too; not much fa me ta say… And, tha 3rd verse’s aight, too… My Rating: 3.7

03.
Mr. Doctor feat. Brotha Lynch Hung & Foe Loco “40 Oz & Chronic Dice”
A
Brother Lynch Hung production… >>> Sounds nice wit this hauntin’ beat,
here; good shit on tha 1st verse… Tha rest of this sounds nice ta
hear, too; good shit… My Rating: 4.1
04.
D-Flexx feat. King George “Mad At The World”
Hacim
production… >>> Sounds a lil’ familiar but it sounds nice, here,
between tha hook and production… Nice job wit tha 1st verse wit this
West Coast/southern vibe y’all comin’ with, here… Tha 2nd verse
sounds nice ta hear, too; let’s keep this goin’… And, tha 3rd verse
ain’t too bad, here… It’s on a nice, gangsta level but this production/tha
voice ain’t tha best fa me ta hear… My
Rating: 3.8
05.
Legend Man “Thug With Me”
M.
Watson beat; ugh!! That last name!!! >>> Decent beat; tha hook’s nice
wit this female singin’ but I’m not in tha mood for it… Tha 1st
verse ain’t that bad, here; decent… Tha 2nd verse ain’t that bad wit
tha continuous rhymin’, here… Tha 3rd verse ain’t that bad, as well;
not really in tha mood fa this, tho… My
Rating: 3.7
06.
Hugo Boss feat. Young C Major & Levitti “Ryder 4 Life”
Phil Armstrong beat… >>> Sounds like a silly hook, here, with a nice lil’ West Coast vibe… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s decent wit this West Coast-y voice… And, we got tha 2nd verse comin’ along, here, soundin’ nice ta hear… And, that West Coast-y sound continues with tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ nice, too… My Rating: 3.8

07.
Mississippi Kingpin feat. Playa Playa & Sandy Claus “Word On The Street”
Sandy
Claus beat… >>> Kinda boring, here? Plain-soundin’ beat and tha 1st
verse’s ehh… Hearin’ tha hook and I love how it’s about gossip! Still, I dunno
how much I feel it, tho… Tha 2nd verse iz good, here; can’t complain
about it… And, tha 3rd verse’s here, soundin’ straight… A lil’ bit
of chantin’ wards at tha end, here… My
Rating: 3.5
½time: More on a decent level
but tha average CD rating’s a 3.8, so far, so it’s not bad, here…
08.
Da Milkman “Da Beast”
Self-produced
track, here… >>> Nice, dark beat but just a decent 1st
verse, here… Tha rest of this ain’t bad; good shit… My Rating: 3.8
09.
Legend Man “Thy Heavenly Father”
R.
Jackson beat… >>> Decent beat with not much ta offer… Let’s see what
tha rhymes gon offer, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s okay but
nothin’ special… I thought this was gon be more depressing but we’re a lil’
above-average, at tha moment… Tha hook’s a random lil’ screwed-soundin’
message, here… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and this dude’s keepin’ it
goin’, here… My Rating: 3.4
10.
Mississippi Kingpin feat. Playa Playa & Sandy Claus “Game Makes The World
Go Round”
Playa
Playa beat… >>> Diggin’ tha southern sound in tha beat, here; true,
cold undaground at its finest! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds
nice ta hear; dope shit… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s okay with this female
singin’… Tha 2nd verse sounds rapid; good shit… And, we got tha 3rd
verse, here, soundin’ nice ta hear wit this gutta voice, once again… My Rating: 3.9
11.
Sisko feat. Court Dog (CCG) “Siccs Deep”
Sisko
production… >>> Anotha dry beat, here… However, tha hook’s pretty
nice, here; good shit y’all got! Tha 1st verse’s pretty nice wit
this faster-soundin’ rappin’; good shit! Tha 2nd verse’s pretty
nice, too; gotta feel what y’all got, here… And, a 3rd verse, soundin’
nice ta hear, too… My Rating: 4.0
12.
Da Milkman feat. K-Dubb “Slide”
A
Milkman production… >>> Decent hook but anotha dry, boring-soundin’
beat, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds quiet… Only thang I
can say iz, nice fa an undaground vibe… Tha 2nd verse sounds kinda
quiet, too; I’ont get tha quietness… I have no more feedback; too quiet! My Rating: 3.1
13.
PCO “Fiending”
Cedsing
production… >>> Almost thought it was E-40 on tha 1st
verse, here… Anotha boring-soundin’ beat and an okay-soundin’ 1st
verse… I’m not really into tha vocals; some of tha voices on this CD ain’t
really fa me… I know King George ain’t a Louisiana
artist so I can see how tha Louisiana
vibes are missin’ from this compilation/CD… Tha 2nd verse and tha
rest of this ain’t for me; sounds too random! Next!! My Rating: 2.9
14.
Tripple Beam “Life Your Hood”
A
Tripple Beam beat… >>> What’s with tha boring, quiet beats??? Just
sounds decent, here, but why 4:34?? Not much ta say; decent/below average… My Rating: 3.3
15.
The Mob “The Mob”
D.
Knighten beat… >>> Sounds like a weird, cool-soundin’ West Coast
track, here… This sounds good but more on tha decent tip, once again… I’ont
need ta say anythang else about this… It’s decent; props for tryin’, even tho,
why 5:36?? My Rating: 3.5
Overall: Most of this was decent
but then again, tha vibes weren’t really for me… Only two 4.0’s; pathetic!
