Review #1,986: Da Rados "On The Loose"

Reviewed on 6.05.2021 (Review #1,986)

Got a lil’ extra loaded, last night & had to refresh myself; I done did an amount of reviewz this past week! Now, I’m continuin’ & aimin’ for my June 10th goal; 14 reviewz left till 2,000!! Here comes my 1,986th review: Da Rados On The Loose, released in 2000 on Bullheaded Records; waddup, Murda-figgy-figgy-feen?! Murdafeen, DJ Rob Fresh & G-Real are featured somewhere in this release, too…! Start Tyme: 9:46 AM | End Tyme: 10:45 AM

Disclaimer:
I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. “R.A.D.O.S.”
>>> Likin’ this intro; I had thought y’all were pronounced “rade-ohs” but it’s “rah-doez”. Feelin’ tha energy you deliverin’ on tha hook, here; beat gotcha on-n-poppin’ fa da 2-Triple-0! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it sounds like some dope energy; glad Murdafeen & Bullheaded Records co-signed this release! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it sounds like a good lil’ verse; props fa tha energy & makin’ me feel like I’m really about ta enter summer, in 15 dayz! Lol @ tha acronym part in tha hook: “Tha ‘R’ stands for ‘R’ & tha ‘A’ stands for ‘A’ & tha ‘D’ stands for ‘D’ & tha ‘O’ stands for ‘O’ & tha ‘S’ stands for ‘S’…”; gotcha, I guess, lol? Hearin’ tha 3rd verse & it’s soundin’ good; keep it poppin’ fa tha streetz, game-free! My Rating: 4.3

02. “Crossin’ Ova”
>>> Sounds dope; luvin’ tha DMX “what?! What?!” sample used, too! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it sounds like y’all vocals a lil’ quiet? It’s still a good lil’ verse with energy, regardless… Hearin’ tha hook & tha vocals are no longer quiet; sounds like a catchy lil’ hook, here… Did it just transition into tha 2nd verse, from tha hook? Sounds like tha volume of tha vocals iz goin’ lower, at tymes; lack of mixin’ & masterin’? Luv how dude obsessed with tha word, “Bruh”; consistent wit how dude came through wit it! Likin’ tha lil’ pre-chorus part b4 tha hook comes in, again; gotta get ‘em ready fa some energy! Keepin’ it goin’ with tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ like anotha catchy verse; mo “bruh” parts, consistently…! Even tha “sippin’ lean,” fa da 2000; gotta luv it! Too bad my “lean”-sippin’ iz in jeopardy, after my “lean” supplya was diagnosed with diabetes, back last September. It’s like, damn, when my next sip?? My Rating: 4.0

03. “I’m Tellin’ Ya Nah”
>>> Sounds like a good lil’ beat from tha 5-0-4 & tha vibe of tha undaground, here; good lil’ hook, too…! Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s soundin’ nice with this content for tha “streetz”; keep on gettin’ it! Keepin’ this thang movin’ with tha 2nd verse, here & dude sounds nice with strugglin’ to “escape”; just gotta stay focused! Now, here comes tha 3rd verse, here, comin’ through with this quality street content; I feel ya, tho! Sometymes, you do gotta “jeopardize” tha “friendship,” in order to succeed. I ain’t wanna see that perspective till people started fuckin’ wit me tha wrong way. I then had to make tha right decision to “jeopardize” any so-called friendships I thought were friendships. Now, I feel much betta & made for more success! My Rating: 4.2

04. “Struggle & Strive”
>>> Sounds like a simple, ‘90s-like beat ta start thangz off, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it ain’t bad; always gotta feel tha sound from tha undaground, tho… Hearin’ tha hook part & it’s soundin’ okay; not much ta say about it but to successfully progress tha track, I guess? Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s soundin’ okay, here; props on tha more-aggressive flow… Keepin’ this goin’ with tha 3rd verse & it’s soundin’ like an okay delivery, once again; just seems more like this track falls in tha “okay” range fa me… My Rating: 3.7

05. “2 Million $$$ Hits”
>>> Beat sounds a lil’ more lively, here; hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s soundin’ okay with tha regular-soundin’ flow & lyrics… Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds a lil’ random fa me; like, dude’s voice iz deeper than tha dude on tha 1st verse? I’ono; I’ont thank this track woulda had a voice change… Anyway, it’s an okay hook & tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ a lil’ betta with tha rhymes bein’ spit; keep it goin’… Keepin’ it goin’ with tha 3rd verse & I’m feelin’ tha energy increase in tha delivery, here, compared to tha other parts of this track; good shit… Luv how dude just keepin’ tha energy up; could that be Murdafeen, secretly? I’ono but it’s ironic if it iz ‘cause I literally sensed myself to likin’ it more… My Rating: 3.9

06. “Summertime”
>>> I’m happy for “Summertime” but this slower vibe makes it seem sad? I’ono how much I can feel this singin’ hook, beat & longer length… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it sounds like sloppy rap-singin’; sounds more like bein’ desperate? Finally, some normal-soundin’ rappin’ at 1:10, comin’ through with okay shit, here… Consistent rhymes but this beat just seems like it’s plain, with not much goin’ on… Damn, tha long-soundin’ singin’ iz gettin’ in tha way, again… Like, damn, only one actual verse & it’s over 3:00 in? See, this iz where I take off points! Just seemed like this dragged almost tha whole way…! Shoulda been renamed “Wintertime”! Should be fun in zero-degree, 24-inch snow weather! My Rating: 1.5

07. “DoAholic”
>>> Sounds like anotha plain beat but more on tha hip-hop/rappin’ side, this tyme… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s soundin’ good with tha way tha rhymes are delivered; I’ll give it props. Hearin’ tha hook, right nah & this sounds more like a New York vibe, with tha turntable scratchin’/mixin’. Keepin’ this movin’ with tha 2nd verse & it ain’t bad; still, with this NY vibe, it’s not really tha style I’m embracin’. Like, I want that undaground Louisiana vibe! Keepin’ it goin’ with tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ like there’s some southern lyrics but not a southern vibe, as this beat continues…; I’ono… My Rating: 2.7

½tyme: Seems like it’s a nice lil’ release, so far, except for tha two jointz that just came up. Hopefully, tha rest of this will stick to an undaground, Louisiana sound! Currently, only a 3.5 iz what tha average rating iz at…

08. “Livin’ Dis Life”
>>> Damn, tha singin’ strikes again!! Too depressin’, includin’ this dry beat! Like, wth @ tha 1st verse? Tha most energy on a depressin’ track?! Such a weird-ass combo! Such a long 1st verse, tho; like, why 4:57 on tha length? Keepin’ this movin’ with tha 2nd verse & it’s not as aggressive but tha beat sounds like it gained more of a NY lifestyle to it; not tha best combo fa me… My Rating: 2.2

09. “Sometimes I Feel Like Leavin’”
As tha tracks suddenly keep gettin’ longer… >>> Anotha slow vibe, feelin’ like this release done turned R&B… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & tha vocals aren’t that loud; damn @ tha mix/master lackin’! Hearin’ tha hook & all I hear iz some note bein’ sung, due to tha lower volume; yuck…! Keepin’ it goin’ with tha 2nd verse & sounds like a mantra for recoverin’ from bein’ depressed; like, why am I listenin’ to this? No wonder why that THC pen knocked me out early, without wantin’ to review anotha release for tha night! Damn, 2:21 still ta go?! Keepin’ it goin’ with a 3rd verse, here, comin’ through with more rhymes that sound like they’re for a gangsta story; a betta verse this tyme, at least… My Rating: 1.7

10. “We Are Rados”
>>> Sounds like a more-lively beat, tho tha vibe of it sounds like a crossroads in life… Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds energetic; kinda has that “R.A.D.O.S.” energy to it, only without it bein’ an acronym… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it str8; I’ll give tha rappin’ plus, here, despite me thinkin’ tha beat was equivalent to life’s crossroads. Keepin’ this thang movin’ with tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ good on tha mic; rhymes str8, as well. Great job with teamin’ up together on this track, Rados! Even y’all gon “hit da weed”? Get rid of tha depressed vibes, 1st! My Rating: 3.6

11. “All Night Long”
>>> A lil’ faster with tha beat with an interestin’ sound bein’ used; let’s see how this turns out… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & tha rhymes are pretty fast; definitely feelin’ tha effort bein’ applied, here…! Hearin’ tha hook & it sounds nice ta hear durin’ tha night; good shit… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it sounds like a dope verse; gotta have tha “Girbauds”! As tha members shift on tha 2nd verse, it still sounds good fa tha streetz, here; nice job, still… Endin’ this thang off with a bunch of energy, chantin’ & hooks bein’ applied; good shit… My Rating: 3.8

12. “Oops”
>>> Sounds like a cool lil’ beat fa tha 5-0-4, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse & it’s soundin’ like a good, regular-soundin’ verse; can’t complain, here… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s soundin’ good with this “sippin’”; gotta get in that zizzone! “R-A-to-tha-D-O, Rados!” With tha remaining amount of this, it seems like it’s too long; like, where’s tha hook again? My Rating: 3.5

13. “Off Da Heezy” feat. Murdafeen
Literally, I thought this was tha same “Off Da Heezy” from Murdafeen’s Me & Ma Dawgs. However, after finally reviewin’ that release, they’re two different “Off Da Heezy”s. >>> Despite playin’ on my then-radio show, I still gon review it like I neva heard it b4… With that bein’ said, this beat’s pretty nice & I gotta luv Murdafeen fa bein’ on tha hook, here; gotta luv tha energy! Also, Murdafeen on tha 1st verse, here, comin’ through wit consistent energy & shit ta embrace; gotta feel how he comin’ through wit it! Also, similar energy on tha 2nd verse, here; definitely “Off Da Heezy”, as this continues! Luv how tha 3rd verse has Murdafeen, too, just quotin’ his name & stayin’ focused, slightly-aggressive & “winnin’”; huh bruh…! Luv tha lil’ check-in from Murdafeen b4 tha final hook, as well; gotta keep reppin’! Just like dat, tha Me & Ma Dawgs review was 95 reviewz ago—18 months ago! Seems like longer? My Rating: 4.4

14. “Planet Funk”
>>> Sounds like a good lil’ N’awlinz vibe; definitely a nice hook & tha proper way of singin’! No depressin’ vibes, here; just all about creatin’ an anthem! Not much ta say with tha 1st verse, except with how consistent it iz about makin’ this party jump; huh bruh…! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & I thought that was Murdafeen? Either way, dependin’ on whether or not I’m hearin’ things, it’s a decent/good lil’ verse; keep it movin’, y’all! My Rating: 4.0

Overall: I believe this release scored just below decent fa me; y’all tried, which I appreciate. Just didn’t go for tha sad, slow, R&B vibes; gotta keep dat energy up! With that bein’ said, I hope y’all continuin’ ta bring out success, whereva y’all at! S/O to y’all ‘70s babies in y’all 40’s!
