Review #1,819: OG Chill "Trappin' Out Tha Back Door: The Album"

Reviewed on 10.10.2019 (Review #1,819)

Got anotha review fa tha late OG Chill, here: Trappin’ Out Tha Back Door: The Album, courtesy of Back Doh Entertainment; here we go… Oh yeah, I believe these are from 2014 or so, based off tha SoundCloud? Start Time: 7:26 PM | End Time: 7:36 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. “Birthday”
>>> Awful/scary vocal start with that “dance…!” Think I’mma just skip this A-tune shit, just to be safe… My Rating: 1.0

02. “Hallelujah”
>>> All of a sudden, a normal voice…! “Hallelujah” iz right! Sounds like an anthemic hook but this beat (jacked or not) sounds boring/typical… Tha 1st verse ehh…; can’t really comment too much, since nothin’ really catches my attention… Tha 2nd verse soundin’ like a regular rapper’s verse; nothin’ ta say, once again… My Rating: 2.1

½time: Only a 1.6-rated disc, so far; really?

03. “Smell Like A Pound”
>>> Likin’ this title/hook sounds good but tha beat (jacked or whateva) sounds typical & boring, once again… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and sometimes, it’s cool ta rap about tha “pound” & all that. However, there’s no fun in tha flow or nothin’, so this boring, mainly… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and, I’ll say, when that beat hides in tha background, durin’ tha first four barz, that effect has been makin’ me cringe. It literally reminds me of, like, a Percy K track or somethin’ & since that thought, it’s been makin’ me think of cringin’… My Rating: 2.3

04. “Species”
>>> Sounds like you’re puttin’ in some effort wit these real-life rhymes, durin’ tha 1st verse… Tha beat you chose ta rap on kinda typical, so I’m just gonna have ta say this ain’t really fa me… Hearin’ tha hook and it cool but this beat doesn’t do it justice; none!! Can’t decide who tha singer iz, on tha 2nd verse. I’ono if I should trust it to be good or not ‘cause if I say it’s good, I would hope it’s not jacked. If it’s shit, it’s mainly ‘cause it’s jacked. We’ll leave my feedback at that; they did a good job lettin’ emotion out, tho. My Rating: 2.0

Overall: Pretty lousy of a review… Not even a 2.0 fa tha overall rating! Was that all tha tracks on tha disc? That’s all I have… Well, there’s two more but I’m not countin’ ‘em toward tha review’s ratings, due to I don’t know. I’m just gonna review ‘em as bonus songs, right after I tally up these songs…

Rankings:

04. “Birthday” 1.0
03. “Species” 2.0
02. “Hallelujah” 2.1
01. “Smell Like A Pound” 2.3

Here goes those songs, featured on your SoundCloud…

“Everybody Lookin’” feat. Kevin Gates
>>> Sounds betta, even wit how this beat sounds… Gates sounds good on tha hook, as well as tha 1st verse. As tha verse slowly ends, it reminds me of tha Gates from before he was mainstream; nice job, Gates! Coulda helped tha ratings if I woulda known it was on tha disc…! Hearin’ you on tha 2nd verse and it’s ehh; as soon as I hear you say, “Instagrammin’,” I just think it doesn’t have a likin’, in my ears… My Rating: 3.8

“TrapHouse” feat. Max Minelli
>>> Sounds like a boring beat; hook’s kinda bleh… Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it sounds boring. I like that you always ‘bout tha “trap” but these beats and your flow doesn’t help make these tracks anythang special… Iz dat Max on tha 2nd verse, here? Sounds pretty nice; glad he helpin’ you out, here! See, he got excitement in his flow; he knows what he doin’! He even got tha “Girbauds,” so you know he official! Too bad he decided ta retire at tha tender age of 40; porque, Max? Glad Max saved tha track but it still ain’t do that great, fa me… My Rating: 2.7
