Review #1,840: Cold Blooded "How Cold Am I"

Reviewed on 10.19.2019 (Review #1,840)

Cold Blooded How Cold Am I iz my next review, released in 1999 on One Shot Records! Start Time: 11:41 AM | End Time: 12:42 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

08. “Hoe Fo Me” feat. B-Legit, Mac Shawn & Ed West
Producer: Ezell Swang
>>> Shawn in tha beginning, singin’ ova this dark-soundin’ beat…; not bad… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it sounds okay, so far… I like tha “like TLC said, I be chasin’ waterfalls” rhyme; great reference… Sounds like a nice lil’ hook; did Jaheim take this and use it for Nelly’s “My Place”, five years after this? Hmm… “Come on over to my place…;” sounds just like it…! Either way, got Legit on tha 2nd verse, here, comin’ through, deliverin’…, in all wayz! Good shit from Mac on tha 3rd verse, here, comin’ through wit consistent rhymin’… My Rating: 3.7

10. “Escape-N-From Poverty” feat. Ed West
Producer: Ezell Swang
>>> Why iz this clean? Smh… Either way, okay-soundin’ 1st verse, ova this smooth beat… A deep-soundin’ male singer on tha hook, here; kinda feelin’ what he singin’… Keepin’ it goin’ wit tha 2nd verse and it ain’t bad, here; decent… My Rating: 3.6

11. “Out For Presidents” feat. Richie Rich

Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it sounds nice, here; definitely consistent, no matter who it be! Why a clean part on tha near-end of tha 2nd verse? Not diggin’ tha hidden clean parts… A female on tha 3rd verse, here (Gadiva), comin’ through wit some decent rhymes… A 4th verse, here, comin’ through wit dat upbeat energy; gotta feel it…! My Rating: 4.5

16. “Don’t Playa Hate Me (Radio)”
See #13 fa tha review…

17. “You Don’t Wanna Fuck With Me (Club Mix)”
Producer: Ezell Swang
>>> Sounds like a nice lil’ extended mix… Not used to seein’ “Club Mix” in tha ID on rap tracks, as that’s a dance-music thing… Since this iz kinda a repeat, I’ll just say: See #4 fa tha review…
