Review #1,179: Que Tha Truth "Revolutionary Suicide"

Reviewed on 9.16.2012 (Review #1,179)

Slowly gettin’ through these reviewz… This 1st one I have for today iz from last year; Bumaye Music Group’s Que Revolutionary Suicide. Start Time: 6:23 PM | End Time: 6:39 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you use tha word “swag” frequently, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes 100,000x (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. “Gibberish”
>>> Sounds good wit what you’re rappin’ on; interestin’ voice, between tha hook and verses. My Rating: 3.8

02. “P@W$”
??? >>> I don’t get tha title, but it sounds like you’re freestylin’, here; not bad, but sounds like everyone else wit tha flow. My Rating: 3.7

03. “Yesterday (No Tomorrow)”
>>> Switchin’ to some original, confirmed production from Joe On The Track? Interestin’; sounds like a nice smooth joint, but I think someone else could’ve handled this joint betta… I like tha “bullies” part; lyrics are good, here. My Rating: 3.9

04. “Cuttin’ Up” Feat. Sam I Am
Interestin’ collaboration… >>> Really like tha beginning! Energetic at its finest!! Beat’s fire; hook’s fire; attitude’s A+!! Rhymes sound a lil’ like an angry Young Dro wit these words rhymin’ in tha 1st verse? I know he was on a lot of “-on” shit. ROFL @ Sam on tha 2nd verse; it’s all about “smellin’ like” some of dat good-ass “herb!” Tha 3rd verse iz really entertainin’, too; lots of different kinda vibes, here, thanx to these deliveries!! My Rating: 4.7

05. “Excuse My Fresh” Feat. Box
Another nice collab! >>> Likin’ tha beat start; tha hook sounds catchy, too, wit this beat! Lyrics are a lil’ weak for me, but then again, that’s what happens when a song’s about “swag.” Box’s doin’ a nice job wit his delivery and lyrics; nice shit! Still, I’m glad your attitude’s up, still! My Rating: 4.1

06. “My Nigga”
Not even listing tha Keri Hilson feature; wtf? >>> Not even listenin’ to tha gay hook; barely okay for me, since this iz way too much on a mainstream tip wit tha lyrics and shit. My Rating: 1.7

07. “Ten-Fo”
>>> Reppin’ for “DCF,” here (Dope Celebrity)? How’d tha connection come about? Anyway, I like how you deliver tha lyrics, here, includin’ tha title; nice job wit tha verses!! I thought this was only gonna be okay, but it sounds like a Southern anthem! My Rating: 4.2

½time: Seems like a decent CD, so far; looks like tha features are really helpin’, since tha average CD rating’s at a 3.7, right now.

08. “Ski-Mask Way”
No… >>> Thought it was a jacked beat (50 Cent) for a second… Wasn’t too into tha lyrics on tha hook, but tha 1st verse’s soundin’ pretty crazy wit tha lyric delivery! Likin’ tha 2nd verse, too; nice and outspoken fa many things! My Rating: 3.6

09. “Prom Sex”
>>> This doesn’t sound like it’s for me; too soft. If you wanna show dat DCF vibe off, no soft shit like this passes! My Rating: 1.4

10. “When I Look At You” Feat. Yummy
Likin’ tha featured artist’s name. >>> Yummy sounds like a kid, but it sounds like a catchy hook. Then again, this izn’t jacked, iz it? Sounds like it with this beat… Anyway, sounds almost okay, but I don’t think it passes for a decent song for me. My Rating: 2.8

11. “Gettin’ Paid” Feat. Box
Anotha Box feature. >>> Didn’t catch tha beat tag, so let’s see what this gon sound like… SMH, skippin’ this due to tha a-tune! No need for tha both of y’all to suck dicks! Not to mention, I HATE money songs!!! My Rating: 1.0

12. “Amen (The Wrath Of God)”
>>> Sounds like a good, jacked-kinda song, but a lil’ too long on tha length. My Rating: 3.5

13. “Million Dolla Dreamin’”
>>> Sounded like a yucky beat tag in tha beginning (couldn’t catch who it was)… Not really into tha hook wit tha sing-rap thing goin’ on… Lyrics are above-average for tha verses, but tha hook and content ain’t for me. My Rating: 3.3

14. “Hate” Feat. Lil’ Phat
>>> This iz tha same as tha Dat Boy A & Young Kidd Kidd song; no need for tha recreation, but this ain’t too bad, overall. My Rating: 3.1

Overall: Started gettin’ worse toward tha 2nd ½, but I didn’t think this was wack-wack, overall; there were some good jointz on here…
