Review #1,584: Tazz "Looney Tunez (Hosted by DJ Ya Boy Earl)"

Reviewed on 11.04.2016 (Review #1,584)

Keepin’ it goin’ with a 5th review for today: Tazz Looney Tunez (Hosted by DJ Ya Boy Earl), released earlier this year. Now that Tazz followin’ me on Twitter and iz appreciatin’ tha reviewz, we’ll see how this one goes… Start Time: 12:50 PM | End Time: 1:40 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. “Lord Help Me”
>>> I kinda like how this sounds, at times, but I gotta keep my guard up… Beat sounds like somethin’ that stupid Young Thug would rap on… I’m not really feelin’ tha lyrics… It almost sounds like your voice changed, too? I’ll still be pretty nice with tha rating, tho… My Rating: 3.4

02. “Lost In The Clouds” feat. Rojay
>>> This laidback beat sounds pretty nice… Now, this sounds more like your voice… Tha hook sounds catchy. It sounds like you’re approachin’ a lil’ more of a mainstream approach wit how some of these tracks sound, now… Rojay sounds decent on tha 1st verse; not bad… Ehh, decent, overall… My Rating: 3.6

03. “Forever True”
After two no-producer tracks, here comes $hop With Ken to save ya! >>> For an anticipatin’ beat, it sounds kinda dry… I do like tha lyrics on tha hook on how you wanna “light up tha weed.” Other than tha nice lil’ hi-hats, this iz calm and plain fa me… My Rating: 3.6

04. “Addicted”
My Current Rating: 3.6

05. “Broski’s” feat. YB
ROFL!!! It actually appeared on here, too, just like with tha YB Self-Investment CD! Ken on tha beat! My Current Rating: 4.5

06. “Hey”
>>> Slow vibe; kinda cheesy wit how it sounds wit you rappin’, here… Let’s see what else this can offer besides a hook… Nothin’ much goin’ on at all… Surprised this 3:57 in length! My Rating: 3.0

07. “Get In There (Souljah Mix)” feat. Banana & Club
Vintage Rippah remixin’ it for ya, here, with Banana & Club on tha feature… >>> Still sounds pretty nice; tha Beezy Bird-soundin’ “bow”s! Nice collab, still! My Rating: 3.8

08. “Wednesday Night” feat. Vintage Rippah
Now, Rippah goin’ from producer to tha feature, as Ken handles tha beat… >>> Feelin’ tha fucked-up vibe on tha hook, here, with tha lyrics… Tha beat sounds kinda plain fa a Ken beat, again, but it makes for a decent track… Tha 1st verse gives this a nice lil’ vibe fa F.Y.N.I.C. connectin’ wit each other… My Rating: 3.5

½time: After tha past few Tazz CDs have had a lil’ more of a boostin’ start, I feel like this one goin’ in reverse, a lil’. Some of tha beats are kinda dry and aren’t as interesting as tha previous CD’s beats… Also, tha tracks aren’t as catchy? A 3.6-rated CD, currently…

09. “Sick & Tired”
>>> Slow vibe; can’t fuck wit no voice effects! Decent, but cheesy; won’t tolerate tha voice effects! My Rating: 2.1

10. “I Know” feat. Savage
Ewe, lol. Vintage Rippah on tha beat… My Current Rating: 3.1

11. “Speeding & Swerving”
Break it down fa me, wit Vintage on tha beat! >>> This sounds like it has an interestin’ sound to it, in tha beginning… Tha hook sounds pretty catchy; like how it’s laidback… Hearin’ how you comin’ through wit tha verses and they’re soundin’ decent… I’m really feelin’ this exotic production, lol… My Rating: 3.7

12. “Designer Everywhere” feat. Li Dreco
Now, Dreco has a space in his stage name? I’ono, but it’s still DrecoOnTheTrack for tha production ID! >>> Sounds like a sellout-kinda song… “Designer” or “Versace”, it’s still sellin’! Nice ta be fresh, but not ta make it sell out! At least Dreco adds a lil’ flava ta this… My Rating: 2.8

13. “Living Wrong”
Vintage Rippah beat… >>> Beat has a good vibe ta it; not bad… Hearin’ you on tha hook and it’s decent with “living wrong.” Hearin’ you spit tha verses and they sound aight; nothin’ special… My Rating: 3.5

14. “Again”
You had a “Not Again” and now, just “Again”? >>> Beat a lil’ betta, here, as well as tha hook… “Body be fulla dem xanz;” nice! I can fuck wit this; not bad, overall… My Rating: 3.7

15. “Make A Change” feat. B-Real
Really? I thought you were unknown?!? I could go on and on about tha producer/feature, but I think I just gon cry, attempt to come out as bi, hate myself, hate my life, get depressed all tha time, wanna do shit & engage myself in risky activities! Aren’t they tha reason why people commit suicide? Why don’t I just skip this?!

…Guess not? Fuck! I always lose!! I wanna just cry!! >>> Here goes tha honesty… Beat has its quality… I’ono how much I can feel tha hook’s vocals but I like tha whole thought of makin’ “a change.” Hearin’ you on tha 1st verse and it decent; not much ta say… I thought B-Real would be on tha hook but no, an actual verse! Tha 2nd verse! Of course, definitely pure quality, but I can’t respect all tha lyrics, if you know me!! No way iz he “tha same!!” I’m not even gonna go into it… My Rating: 4.4

16. “Take My Hand”
>>> A slower vibe ta end this CD off… Not too bad; I’ono what else ta say… I’ono, at times, I can’t really feel your voice… Still, this a nice track ta end this CD off… My Rating: 3.2

Overall: I’ono, but I thought this was tha least-ranked one outta tha five I reviewed, so far… If It wasn’t for tha “Broski’s” & tha B-Real feature, this would’ve mainly went down tha tubes… Almost every single song was decent, with some bein’ below-average. I’ono, but you were previously catchier…
