Reviewed on 2.05.2008 (Review No. 47)

Wat it do? Wat tha deal iz? This yo boy FrankieThaLuckyDog checkin' in. 'Bout to do another review. Tonight's review iz DJ Obscene & Wes Fif "Money Is Power (Dead Presidents Reloaded)" mixtape. I see that it's tha "reloaded" version. Hope there's some of tha bangerz from tha "Dead Presidents" mixtape! Lookin' forward to reviewing! Let's see what's on here… Start Time: 10:05 PM | Video Game Playing: Zombies Ate My Neighbors (for Super Nintendo) (on my computer)

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me or have auto-tune in your vocals, I’m not buyin’ it!

01. "Intro"
Remindin' me a lil' of "RNR" 'cause of that bangin' mixtape from last year wit Bigga Rankin & Wes Fif "RNR – Direct Connect"! Let's see this intro! >>> Shit I would've never guessed my favorite joint right now would be tha beat to tha intro ("Umma Do Me"). Yeah Wes Fif definitely sent out a good message to err-body listenin'. My Rating: N/A

02. "Out Yo Mind"
Startin' off wit some new shit. Iz it over tha "Umma Do Me" beat? Not sure. Gonna wanna hear it either way tho, so my anticipation level (AL) iz high! >>> Yup it iz. Real good soundin' of his version of Rocko's song. I said this before, and I'mma say it again: when it comes to rappers, I like when they say "dawg". I just like it a lot, and that's why Wes Fif gets my thumbs up all day 'cause he says it a lot. Keep doin' yo thang dawg. Yeah this shit sounds great. My Rating: 4.2

03. "Bread"
This I reviewed on tha "Dead Presidents" mixtape, and I think I really liked it. Lemme go copy/paste from that review onto here. This iz what I have to say about this joint: Nice intro. Yes an acronym. Yes Wes Fif, once again, you're tha truth. Yeah cool beat in a weird/good way (mainly during tha hook). A nice hustler anthem right here. Gotta get that $$$! Actually, after reading my review from tha previous mixtape, I dunno why I only gave it a 4.2 rating. This iz much better than that! My Current Rating: 4.4 (A +0.2 to tha rating)

04. "Like Me"
Shit, while I was listenin' to "Bread" just now, I was just thinkin' about this joint bein' on here. This was tha first new joint I got when my labtop got back to normal (which was on 9.15.2007). It actually won an award of mine on my 2007 Awards for Best Breakthrough Song From Tha Underground because it aired in a regular rotation on Music Choice Rap (even tho I only saw it on there twice: 10.22.2007 @ 1:29 AM and 10.29.2007). It won this award 'cause Wes Fif was an artist I first found out about from online (thanx to DJ Hollywood & Dirty South Radio "Hip Hop Ain't Dead: It Lives In The South Volume 1" mixtape for puttin' "I'm Paid" on there), and goin' from online to Music Choice Rap iz BIG THINGS! By tha way, this song iz great, and still iz. Wes Fif definitely doin' tha damn thang when it comes to tha flow. He a beast wit tha flow! Just wished Music Choice Rap would've played it more. They never even played "Haterz" and I was always lookin' out for it. This joint landed at No. 292 on my Top 777 Songs of 2007 year end countdown wit 62 spins wit me. I also really like how most of Wes Fif's songs are about money. They make great hustler anthems. My Current Rating: 4.3

05. "I'm Paid"
So Phoenix produced this joint huh? I guess he definitely one of tha TOP producers in tha dirty south rap game right now! Congrats to this song! Not only did it put me onto Wes Fif, but I think it broke a record for most times on mixtapes, lol! It was on 4: DJ Hollywood & Dirty South Radio "Hip Hop Ain't Dead: It Lives In The South Volume 1", Bigga Rankin & Wes Fif "RNR – Direct Connect", DJ Smallz & Wes Fif "Dead Presidents", and now this mixtape. Definitely one of tha best mixtape songs I eva heard. I neva get sick of it, nor do I get sick of it appearing on all these mixtapes! Beat iz crazy, hook iz really OFF THA CHAIN "muthafucka I'm paid! ½ a 100 grand in a rubberband." Crazy! All tha rhymes, punchlines, and all tha other shit I'm forgettin' iz real tight. My Current Rating: 5.0

06. "Wes Fif Speaks"
Let's see what my boy has to say. Lookin' forward! >>> Yeah that's cool that you're now wit Slip-N-Slide Records. Keep doin' yo thang. My Rating: N/A

Break: It's 10:36 PM right now, and I finna call my 63 (almost 64) year old rappin' grandma. Let's see if she picks up… >>> Aight it's 10:59 PM and we were on tha phone for 21 minutes, 46 seconds. We talked about continuing education, and me hopefully predicting a future to where I would like to go down to tha dirty south to check thingz out (since I love dirty south rap music so much). Anyway, back to tha mixtape before it gets later (I got class starting at 8:00 AM tomorrow at college, so I gotta get up at 6:00 AM).

07. "This Fresh"
I like this back-n-forth shit. It's goin' from new joint to "already heard" joint back-n-forth. Hope it stays like this. Let's see what this gon sound like… >>> Beat sounds pretty good. Nice for a new joint for me. Gotta feel Wes Fif's flow. Yeah "throw them old clothes in tha gar-BAGE." An example of a good flow on this joint. Yeah you "still fresher bruh." I'm fresh when I go to college, unlike some people at my college. I wore a polo today, and this dude that has beef wit me wore pajamas at college, LMAO/SMH. I don't get much attention sadly (I guess due to my Autistic behavior, where I have trouble socializing – people need to bring up rap music to me, and then I'd socialize more). People don't take my fresh seriously. Another dude that has beef wit me dapped up a bunch of people, and when it comes to me, rockin' a Lil' Wayne t-shirt signed wit girbauds on, he just passes me up like I'm nothin'. Fuck them haterz anyway. Like Natureboy Rowe says, "I'm not them," and like Rocko says, "umma do me!" My Rating: 3.9

08. "G-Code"
This also has been tha 4th appearance I've saw this. First was on tha Wordofsouth.com & DJ Scream "Gunshine State Edition V.2" mixtape, then tha "RNR – Direct Connect", "Dead Presidents", and now this. Yeah this joint REAL hot. Real nice beat and Wes Fif's rhymes definitely sound real good. Can neva get enough of Wes Fif. He does tha ma'fuckin' damn thang! Tha last time I reviewed this joint I gave it a 4.4 rating, and right now I feel like I feel it more. Another joint that doesn't get old. My Current Rating: 4.5

09. "Take Off" Feat. Fabo
Ooh this a new one for me. I guess this one has been a secret 'cause I neva saw it anywhere 'til now (expected this to be somewhere already due to tha collabo). Let's see how Fabo & Wes Fif connect… >>> Didn't expect a collabo like this. Tha beat intro iz real nice. "My dawgs'll put a hole-in-one in you like golf" Nice. Wes Fif you and Natureboy Rowe definitely do tha fuckin' thang when it comes to these punchlines and rhymes! Yeah Fabo soundin' good on his part. At least it's nothin' snap related. Feelin' this one right here. My Rating: 4.0

½time: Nice mix of "hot classics" and "hot new jointz" by Wes Fif. Real good mixtape. Wes Fif knows how to bring that fiya!

10. "My Dawgs"
Yeah this joint SO HOT it won a few awards wit me in 2007: It won tha award for My Favorite Dirty South Rap Song of 2007, and tha song, tha 2 previous Wes Fif mixtapes, and so on made Wes Fif win tha award for Best New Artist for me for 2007. This song did tha damn thang and landed at No. 66 on my Top 777 Songs of 2007 and got 100 spins flat wit me in 2007. Since it got 100 spins wit me, it won an award for this song being a *CERTIFIED CLASSIC* wit me (100 or more spins wit me). And this iz comin' str8 from my review from "Dead Presidents": Tha title iz DEFINITELY a personal favorite (especially tha subject). I wind up doin' everything for "my dawgs" at college, but they don't pay nowhere near tha respect as I pay them. That's what sux about tha subject when it's in my hands, but in Wes Fif's hands, it's good. One thing I really dislike iz if some dude hugs some other dude, it's aight. Even tho I feel real odd to do it when called for, if I was to hug another dude, it would look real weird. Cool wit someone else, but weird wit me. That's one thing I REALLY don't understand… Either way, great song. I still feel tha same wit tha rating I gave it previously. By tha way, since that review for "My Dawgs", especially now in 2008, I pretty much stopped most of tha things I do for "my dawgs" at my college 'cause of tha shitty semester I had last semester. People started dislikin' me and shit outta nowhere, but for "my dawgs" on tha internet (like Jimmy The DJ), I got yo back all day, err-day. My Current Rating: 4.7

11. "Them Niggaz Mad"
This iz tha 1st time this mixtape where there's 2 classics in a row for me, but this iz in a REAL GOOD way right now 'cause this song had a REAL GOOD first listen wit me on tha last mixtape!! Ya boy Phil produced this. I believe he has an overwhelming amount of potential in tha future as a dirty south rap producer too. I'm real glad to be hearin' this again, and this was my review for it on "Dead Presidents": Yes nice intro, and REAL NICE hook/beat!! This iz what I wanna hear on here!! GREAT first verse! Yes REALLY REALLY LOVIN' THA HOOK & BEAT FA'REAL!!! I still feel tha same way wit tha rating. That some HOT shit right there!! My Current Rating: 5.0

12. "Yes I Am"
A lil' flashback from tha "RNR – Direct Connect" mixtape. Forgot what I said about this, so I finna copy/paste my review: Feelin' tha electronic intro! Feelin' that hook! Sounds like Bone Crusher wit his flow on tha hook. Pretty good. Still feel tha same way too wit tha rating from tha past. My Current Rating: 4.0

13. "Wes Fif Speaks"
Good he's speakin' again. Let's hear what my dawg has got to say! >>> *Predicts "Haterz" iz tha next song* Yeah real nice message. WTF (why tha fuck) do a dude go out his window and randomly hate on another dude? Tha shit's gay. Anyway, I was right about "Haterz" bein' next. My Rating: N/A

14. "Haterz Everywhere (Wes Fif Verse)" Feat. B.O.B.
Just Wes Fif's verse? I guess it's a lil' shortened… >>> Still can't believe it never went into a rotation on Music Choice Rap (I guess "Like Me" got real lucky). I actually saw this in a southern mixtape on Music Choice Rap, and that was cool. They should've considered it! Once again, I always really liked that trance "My Love" beat, and yeah, Wes Fif's "fly, somethin' like tha air." My Current Rating: 4.1

15. "I Go Hard" Feat. 3AM
Lol this again. Yeah this was aight, but still good. Reviewed it on tha previous mixtape. It was a single originally that had potential too. Hope tha new one "Wastin' Your Time" gets out there tho 'cause that has potential too. This one landed at No. 574 on my Top 777 Songs of 2007 (just passin' "Brown Paper Bag") wit 25 spins wit me in 2007. Another thing: sometimes I like when I hear singers cuss. My rating iz slightly higher since tha last review due to this song iz more of a memory for me since I played it before tha shitty-ass 3rd semester I had. My Current Rating: 3.7

16. "Impatient" Feat. KC
Didn't expect this one to be somethin' new for me. Same producer for "I Go Hard", so it must be another smooth joint. Let's see if I'm right… >>> Yeah this *Crystal Method "Born Too Slow" voice* a lil' tooo slowww! Slow, but at least it's at tha end (which was good since it's after "I Go Hard"). Good placement on tha mixtape. Yes this too slow for me to really like, but this one of them types of songs I'd predict would be REAL GOOD on Music Choice Hip-Hop And R&B. Actually, I'm feelin' it a lil' more to tha end. Really relaxin'. My Rating: 3.5

17. "Freaky"
I remember this bein' my least favorite on tha "Dead Presidents" mixtape. Lemme re-hear it tho to see what's up… >>> Yeah tha hook a lil' odd, but definitely some good sex music. Here's what I said from tha previous review: Wow slow start… I don't know about that hook… tha "I Go Hard" one I'd say iz better. I dunno about this one… This one sounds more like a future single (like a single after a club single). Wes Fif's verses of course are good. That hook gets a thumbs down for me. This won't have that high of a rating for me. Okay Wes Fif's 3rd verses I'm feelin' a lot better, so there's some life there. Maybe this'll grow on me in tha future? All it needs iz time. Even tho not my type of song, good female song by Wes Fif tho. A lil' growth for me. My Current Rating: 2.9 (A +0.3 to tha rating)

Overall: End Time: 11:49 PM. DEFINITELY glad you kept tha REAL REAL TIGHT bangers like "I'm Paid" and "Them Niggaz Mad" on here. Even tho there was no "See Me" (which I predicted would be on here), at least those 2 jointz, along wit a bunch of tha other classics were on there. Wes Fif DEFINITELY knows how to do it BIG when it comes to tha mixtapes! This iz tha 3rd Wes Fif mixtape I reviewed, and loved, once again. Keep doin' yo thang bruh. You DEFINITELY one of tha best rappers in tha dirty south.

Rankings (according to ratings):

11. "This Fresh" 3.9
10. "Take Off" Feat. Fabo 4.0

03. "My Dawgs" 4.7
02. "I'm Paid" 5.0
