Review #839: Zeke "The Shake Back"

Reviewed on 3.01.2011 (Review #839)

My 3rd review iz Zeke “The Shake Back; don’t think I heard of this dude… I don’t have a tracklisting, either. Start Time: 8:20 PM | End Time: 8:39 PM

Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01.
>>> Tha production sounds pretty nice for a somewhat-unknown CD. I looked on my blog and your name came up wit Lil’ Sheppard; guess y’all fuck wit each other? Tight sounds from “Baton Rouge,” here, that you claimed! Good intro track, ya dig? “’07, ’08, ’09, even ’10;” what year dis from? I’ll consider it “’10.” My Rating: 4.2

02.
>>> I like tha hot beat in tha beginning as well as tha phone call; givin’ me some old, “Pyrex Radio”-type feelings, here, wit how dis sounds!! Ooh, tha hook’s pretty nice wit tha “kill dat—kill dat hatin’ shit!” :tu Real nice, here; good job deliverin’ tha rhymes, too! Tha flow’s pretty-hot, at tha same time! LOL, caught Lil’ Sheppard on tha 2nd verse; “Sheppard boy!” Great job wit tha collaboration; just added to tha tightness!! My Rating: 4.5

03.
>>> Tha beat start’s pretty creepy; I luv dis kinda shit!! “Toolin’ these niggaz”? Sounds pretty gutta to tha bone! Tha content’s nice, as well as how nice you come through, reppin’ fa “Strip Life”! My Rating: 4.4

04.
>>> SMH, why am I hearin’ dis beat?!? :confused What happened to tha original production? My Rating: 3.3

05.
>>> Can’t anticipate each beat bein’ original, now. :( At least we’re back ta normal, here, wit “’bout yo business” and shit; sounds a lil’ familiar? Likin’ tha content and shit! Sounds like Parktown Bone’s on tha 3rd verse as a feature? A lil’—he sounds more like a Lil’ Wayne. My Rating: 4.1

06.
>>> Not tha jacked shit again! Barely any interest although tha rhymes are a lil’ betta than #4. My Rating: 3.5

07.
>>> Not really inta this start… A lil’ betta than tha last joint and iz this featurin’ some “G Money” dude? My Rating: 3.6

½time: 3.9-rated CD; kinda losin’ interest from tha beginning…

08.
>>> SMFH!! This definitely has ta be ’07 ‘cause if this anything after, that’s a big no-no ‘cause this beat only lives durin’ those gay-ass, dick-suckin’ times!!! Barely any interest; I think Sheppard’s featured on dis one. My Rating: 3.4

09.
>>> No interest, here; nothin’ bad at tha same time… My Rating: 3.0

10.
>>> “Gotta—gotta have it” in tha hook, here; pretty catchy… Even though a “money”-obsessed song, this iz betta than some of tha shit on here. My Rating: 3.8

11.
>>> *Repeats what I said wit #8!* I think this a lil’ catchier but can’t take dis beat!! SMH @ givin’ “Mims” a shout out, too! My Rating: 3.5

12.
>>> I like tha voice in tha hook… Nice “Girbauds … Levis” part; catchy rhymes… I’m likin’ tha guttaness, too! My Rating: 3.9

13.
>>> A beat tag in tha beginning? Catchy-soundin’ joint, right here; that hook’s pretty nice. My Rating: 3.7

14.
>>> Some of tha ’06 shit like dis iz gay, now, too! Tha rhymes don’t even mat—ugh, not likin’ these “swag” and typical rhymes, either. My Rating: 2.0

15.
>>> Tha sound sounds more undaground, here; I’m likin’ dis. Tha content wit tha “we hustle—hustle, and grind—grind” sounds tight in tha hook! Good job wit tha song, overall! My Rating: 4.2

Overall: Not really that exciting fa me except tha 4.0+-rated songs!
