Time for review #2 for today: Shay White “Me Against Da World Vol. 1”. I didn’t realize this was a female, no less! Quite rare that I get ta review a female! Start Time: 8:04 AM | End Time: 9:07 AM


Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. >>> Doin’ a lil’ Biggie beat, lol. Oh, a Yella Yella dude on tha feature; pretty good… Not too bad wit tha rappin’ from you in tha 1st verse… Yella sounded pretty good on his verse, too. My Rating: 3.5


04. “Ain’t No Competition”
>>> Sounds like you’ll do good on this beat. I like how tha hook sounds… You got consistency here. My Rating: 3.7


05. “Close 2 Me” Feat. Lil’ Tree & Young Sunny Shine
>>> Tha beat sounded kinda sappy at first but it sounds good once it kicked-in. Not bad for a song although not really tha shit I’d like-like… Tha hook’s somewhat good; you sound betta for some reason. I really like tha rapidness you’re bringin’ to tha table on tha 2nd verse! Tha 3rd verse sounds pretty good; I feel like I can analyze and hear tha Louisiana blood in tha dude’s voice. My Rating: 3.6

This iz 1 of 4 songs removed from DatPiff; lemme hear… >>> ROFL, this beat removed? Random! You sound like you’re deliverin’ consistent rhymes… My Rating: 3.7


07. “Lovely”
>>> Sounds like mainstream shit I wouldn’t really like too much. Good thing you’re a female ‘cause if this was anotha dude spittin’ ova these jacked beats, I’d be bored out my mind ‘cause I’ve reviewed a ton of dudes and their trashy CDs. This iz too long; I’ve been bored at about 50% in… My Rating: 2.8

>>> A “Hollygrove reppa” on tha 1st verse, lol. Not too bad on this beat… You’re decent on this, too; I liked Wasso betta, though. My Rating: 3.4

Let’s hear tha 2nd song dat DatPiff removed. >>> ROFL, “Lemonade”! You sound good on dis; nice and consistent in a way… My Rating: 3.5

>>> Kinda on a slow level but it ain’t too bad… You sound like you’re tryin’ ta motivate yourself more off tha haters and shit, which iz good. Lil’ Rodney at tha very end… Good shit he spittin’… My Rating: 3.4


11. “Save Us From Plaquemine”
I can agree wit tha title in a way. They murdered my dawg Gunsmoke in Plaquemine a few months ago! >>> Good advice; decent here. SMH, DatPiff removed some of tha other songs on here but kept this wit tha original hook? I don’t get why they mis-look at times, smh. I don’t like hearin’ original hooks so I gon have ta take off; it’s nearly tha same way wit jacked beats, too, but original hooks/verses are worse. My Rating: 2.5

>>> I dunno ‘bout dis; you’re somewhat interestin’ on this… Not bad on Shine either although I don’t wanna sit here for anotha 2:10… This sounds good as a duet, though. My Rating: 2.6

>>> LOL @ this beat; quite funny. Ooh, tha “fuck” shit sounds nice on tha attitude; good shit! Not too bad wit tha rest of it although it gets a lil’ boring… My Rating: 3.2

Tha 3rd song DatPiff removed… >>> Oh, this gay title? SMH… Decent wit tha rappin’ although I don’t think I would’ve liked it if I heard tha rest ‘cause of tha “swag” shit I’m hearin’ now. My Rating: 2.4

>>> Tha kinda shit dat makes me lol. Pretty good wit what you’re bringin’ but c’mon, why over four minutes? CDs don’t HAVE ta be a full 80 minutes or close ta dat! Rodney had a pretty good verse, though… “Wit Wayne on tha hook, sho’, it’s a hit;” uh, I think I’m more afraid! My Rating: 3.6

>>> I thought this was gonna be Mystikal’s song but it’s “Wipe Me Down” instead, lol… FUCK!! Over five minutes long?!? SMH @ tha quality change once tha verse started. I’m gettin’ pissed at tha quality changes every four bars; sounds hella gay. I like your energy but I can’t connect much interest toward this. SMH, you left 1:20 at tha end of only tha beat? Bad move! My Rating: 2.4

>>> This iz a betta style; I like tha way you sound on tha beat, doin’ ya thang. Oh, Q Black (as I know him for) on tha 2nd verse, soundin’ pretty nice on dis shit. You’re doin’ a NICE job on tha 3rd verse wit your rapid-fire, too! Much betta improvement from every song on this CD, so far! A lil’ kiddish at tha end; what’s wit all tha “shid, who” shit?
