Review #768: Vis "The Last Spartan"

Reviewed on 12.27.2010 (Review #768)

Time for my 4th review for today. VisThe Last Spartan. I was ‘pose ta give you a radio spin for tha song you sent me. I haven’t had tha chance yet but I did radio-edit it. Let’s see how good you’ll sound… Start Time: 12:44 PM | End Time: 1:09 PM

Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “My World”
Producer’s name iz JR’s World; let’s hear dis… >>> Even though it sounds pretty good fa a start, I can’t stand tha Drake flow! :td “Every nigga I got wit me;” how you manage ta have dat? My Rating: 3.5

02. “Showin’ Out”
>>> Sounds good fa a beat you’re rappin’ on; lol @ tha anthematic sounds. Even though tha beat sounds like a Wayne one, tha rappin’s good wit how you’re deliverin’ tha rhymes. Glad you “neva played sports;” that’s what’s up! Tha hook sounds pretty good… You’re keepin’ dis shit consistent. My Rating: 3.9

03. “Nigga Ain’t Lyrical”
I don’t like dat “L” one sometimes… >>> Well, here, I do ‘cause there’s no beat! Now, there can’t be any gay sounds. Sounds like it’s gettin’ betta and betta each second! My Rating: 4.5

04. “Popular”
Self-produced song that you sent me. Lemme rehear it and see how good it iz! >>> Sounds funny fa a start. I might even play tha “Nigga Ain’t Lyrical” on my radio show; dat would be nice! Tha beat’s pretty nice here and tha rappin’s consistent. Oh, now I rememba dat hook! I thought havin’ “rank” iz catchy; good thinkin’! Tha hook sounds good and lol @ how I can picture your face smilin’ on tha 2nd verse. Pretty good wit how you keepin’ dis shit comin’ ‘long! Tha 3rd verse’s cool; this iz tha flow I’m likin’ from you. My Current Rating: 4.3

05. “Home”
>>> I dunno about dis beat; not-matchin’ bars fa tha start in tha beat, lol? You’re “only 18”? Damn, everyone seems young… Even though I’m not that crazy ‘bout tha beat, your rappin’ kinda keeps it alive… My Rating: 3.4

06. “Let Me Download” Feat. Pakmayne
You did this beat, too? Even though I ain’t too crazy about a title like dis, let’s see what it ‘bout. >>> Damn, good beat but why dat gay-ass voice? Skips. My Rating: 1.3

07. “When I Saw You” Feat. Deezy & Blaiz
Anotha song you produced… >>> Damn, anotha one I gon skip? Shit no, what are you doin’? :confused Even tha feature on tha 1st verse has a gay voice, smh! That’s simply called… peer pressure! My Rating: 1.0

½time: Tha average CD rating was a pretty-good 3.9 ‘til tha two gay songs just came, makin’ it a 3.1 right now.

08. “Fresh As Ever”
>>> Tha beat iz decent and so iz this song. My Rating: 2.9

09. “@ Littl3”
Little? Who dat? >>> Sounds deccent. I may not be that crazy ‘bout dis beat but you got tha rappin’ on lock. Goin’ all in here wit tha consistent verse. “This iz just an intro”? We’re ½way through tha CD, lol. Damn, tha Drake shit made my original, 3.4 rating, go down!! How gay; could’ve left dis gayness out? My Rating: 2.6

10. “Heartbreak Avenue”
You’re producin’ here and even though it’s a somewhat-catchy title, it looks heartbreakin’… >>> Kinda sappy but I can see where it’s goin’; at least your voice ain’t gay as fuck here. Sounds like you had a “heartbreak” situation. Glad it’s been at least a decade since I witnessed dat! Not my kinda song but good shit you got fa expressin’ yourself. My Rating: 3.1

11. “What’s Yo Name”
Anotha beat by you. >>> Um, you DON’T have ta SUCK DICK ta make music, smh! My Rating: 1.0

12. “Lovers & Friends (Excuse Me)”
>>> This beat from you sounds like tha 2004 “Lovers & Friends” joint a lil’ bit (I guess tha title makes me think dat). Even though it’s not my kinda style, you’re keepin’ tha rhymes goin’ here. Damn, gay-soundin’ hook? Stops! My Rating: 1.9

13. “Too Much Power”
>>> Not tha Drake flow again… What’s up wit this gay, 4:51 length? At least you’re spittin’ good rhymes… minus tha flow! Ooh, “fuck Jay-Z”? Interestin’… I’m not big about him and how much people dickride him anyway. I like how you not just have “power” on here but energy as well, lol! Very entertainin’… My Rating: 4.2

14. “I Deserve A Emmy”
It’s really “an” before an A, E, I, O, U-soundin’ word. >>> Anotha near-five-minute song? Tha intro kinda scares me; hope you don’t have any gay-ass A-Tune in this! Tha quality on your mic’s a lil’ shitty here… SMH @ 1:07; deduction! Tha hook really made this joint go downhill! Yea, you “do [everything];” so do I! Except, I don’t have an erection ta use Auto-Tune, smh! Or, even a thought! How dare you mix “Emmy” wit A-Tune; neva would dat happen ‘til you get rid of dat gay-ass A-Tune!! My Rating: 1.1

Overall: Well, tha CD had a pretty-nice start but REALLY went downhill once you started usin’ A-Tune too much.
