Review #1,640: Willie Puckett "Doggie Hopp"

Reviewed on 2.09.2017 (Review #1,640)

Gotta keep these reviewz goin’, no matter how many inches of snow’s on tha ground! We got Willie Puckett Doggie Hopp, released in 1997 on Take Fo Records & was produced by Super Dave! Start Time: 12:01 PM | End Time: 12:17 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. “Doggie Hopp”
>>> Diggin’ tha Jackson 5 sample in tha background (tha one Lil’ Romeo used for “My Baby”); interestin’ bounce vibe from you, here… Seems like this iz so long, despite it only bein’ 3:24, but it iz what it iz… My Rating: 3.6

02. “She Don’t Want It In Her Booty”
>>> Reminds me of that “Put It In Your Mouth” song, or whateva that was, that came out tha year before… Feelin’ tha upbeat vibe, here, wit this party-type song fa tha X-rated! Lol, speakin’ of which, we got a bunch of inches of snow this morning and that one person I was around was like, “How many inches…?,” like, not snow! Lol, like, really? How random! Crazy!! This shit sounds pretty nice, as it continues! My Rating: 3.8

03. “Who’s The Man” feat. Rampage From The Hideout
>>> Sounds like a more street-soundin’ beat, here; definitely nice wit tha hook, here! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice wit how y’all comin’ through wit it, here! Gotta dig tha energy! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s pretty hyped-up, here; gotta luv it! What else can I say about this energy? Just leaves a good taste in tha mouth fa those that are into tha whole undaground, hyped-up, No Limit, Louisiana-type rap music! My Rating: 4.4

½time: We kicked it off wit some party songs and we also had tha street anthem, “Who’s The Man”, which had a pretty nice rating! So far, those three songs we just had averaged out to a 3.9 for this CD rating, so far! Let’s keep it goin’!

04. “Doggie Hopp (Radio)”
See #1 fa tha review!
