Reviewed on 6.10.2010 (Review #497)
Tha next review I have on deck iz for Bigg Chef & Da Tribe “Ride 2 Dis”! Looks like it’ll be DEFINITELY on point!! Start Time: 2:45 PM | End Time: 3:30 PM
Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it) so any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “Ride 2 Dis”
Startin’ thangz off wit tha title track here! I expect “dis” ta be on tha G-Funk level so let’s see if I’m right! >>> Sounds good wit y’all talkin’ in tha beginning. Yea, I’m correct about tha G-Funk soundin’ here; GR8 start ta what’s ‘bout ta become a GR8 CD!! Tha 1st verse’s startin’ wit bein’ “smoked out;” good shit ta start dis shit off!! Tha hook sounds good on “dis” too; REAL GR8 when y’all “gettin’ high ta dis!” DEFINITELY a plus fa “dis” undaground Louisiana Rap shit! Tha 2nd verse sounds pretty good for tha start here; feelin’ how tha raps are delivered! Tha 3rd verse sounds good also; “Polo down” to tha fullest! Gr8 collaboration fa dis whole CD! Y’all got thangz on lock! My Rating: 4.7
02. “Do U Wanna Be Jazzed”
What’s dis “secret,” lol? >>> Tha production sounds pretty good here for a slow start… A seductive start for tha ladies in tha beginning? Sounds like tha hook’s first and it’s all about “bein’ Jazz’d,” lol… Tha 1st verse’s kickin’ it right now and tha flow’s “laidback.” Not bad…; this an aight song. Tha 2nd verse’s kickin’ more of dat laidback shit for this joint right chea… A lotta “Jazz” rhymes here in tha 3rd verse, includin’ “smellin’ it,” lol? My Rating: 3.4
EDIT: This said “Secret Track” on tha original ID when I got it but this iz really “Do U Wanna Be Jazzed”…
03. “Southern Funk”
Okay, I see tha “Funk” continuin’ here… >>> Pretty “funky” beat start… Good job deliverin’ tha 1st verse and tha hook sounds hot wit tha gurl on it! Tha 2nd verse has you deliverin’ dat “Southern Funk” to tha fullest; good shit. I like tha “funky smell” part too in tha hook. Sounds like you deliverin’ good shit for tha 3rd verse too… My Rating: 3.7
04. “Hellafide Flowin’”
Looks like some random “flowin’” gon come outta dis one? Lemme see… >>> Very nice and smooth for tha start here; definitely feelin’ it! You’re “flowin’” on tha 1st verse right chea and it sounds good wit tha shit you spittin’ for tha streetz. I hear tha hook/title now and it’s pretty cool wit dis beat here… Tha 2nd verse sounds pretty good and relaxed wit how you comin’ through wit it… Tha 3rd verse was a lil’ short but squeezed in, I guess… My Rating: 3.9
05. “It’s A Party”
Let’s see what dis title gon offer… >>> Sounds pretty upliftin’ (like my aunt’s bunny, lol) for tha start here. Sounds pretty good for a start wit tha hook; DEFINITELY good soundin’ here! Tha 1st verse’s pretty good also as you’re just doin’ ya thang to tha fullest! Tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ like you’re REALLY “‘bout ta get blunted out;” good shit! Tha 3rd verse’s addin’ some more ta this “party” right chea; good shit! It’s ALWAYS a plus ta just be in tha mood for a “party,” ya dig! There’s even a 4th verse here and it sounds good; I like tha “givin’ looks” shit. LOL @ how short tha verse was… My Rating: 4.2
½time: Pretty good so far, since tha average CD rating’s at 4.0; let’s see what else you got!
06. “Causin’ Drama”
Oh no, not dis again? >>> Iz dis labeled incorrectly? Sounds pretty good wit tha rappin’ at first here… I guess dis iz tha “Secret Track” joint, not “Do U Wanna Be Jazzed” (which iz really #2). Tha hook’s good; I like tha hood luv when it comes ta showin’ luv ta tha track! Tha 2nd verse’s REAL GR8 wit how it’s bein’ delivered! I like tha “sag like Girbauds” line; gotta LUV y’all in tha undaground!!! Tha 3rd verse’s pretty RAW!! “S to tha O to tha L to tha G to tha R to tha O to tha N to tha G?” I can’t get what dat spells but dat’s what I heard… Ooh, “I’ll break you down like an exponent!” Dat’s GR8 ta end tha 3rd verse and tha ending hook’s REAL good and upbeat too!! My Rating: 4.4
EDIT: I see tha titles are now a song off on my mp3 info; shit…
07. “Real Niggaz”
Looks like it might be good ‘cause tha length of it bein’ 5:07! >>> Tha beat’s cool and tha 1st verse’s pretty raw right chea wit tha content!! DEFINITELY feelin’ how y’all comin’ through on tha track wit all your mighty!!! Tha hook’s DEFINITELY anotha anthem right chea; feelin’ it to tha fullest once again!! Tha 2nd verse’s gettin’ me in tha mood ta just luv dis shit!! Y’all REAL good fa tha streetz right chea!! Tha 3rd verse has REAL GR8 lyrics and content goin’ on here!!! REAL, REAL GOOD wit this Rap shit, 24/7!!! My Rating: 4.8
08. “It’s All Good”
Looks like y’all status’s “good” enough so let’s see what y’all got on dis one! >>> Pretty good beat… Tha 1st verse sounds like some good rappin’s bein’ delivered! Nice job wit tha hot shit and tha hook has ANOTHA anthem hidden inside of it!! Glad every song on this CD’s now becomin’ an anthem!! Sounds like tha 2nd verse’s deliverin’ more hot shit! You KNOW “it’s all to tha good!” Tha 3rd verse’s “too fuckin’ real” (as it just said) wit how dis shit’s comin’ through wit consistency!! Tha flow’s ALWAYS on point and y’all (as a team) iz just a BIG plus!! My Rating: 4.6
09. “Haulicinatin’”
Looks like one of those paranoia-type titles, which I have a feelin’ it gon be REAL GOOD!!! >>> Tha beat start’s pretty HOT!! Tha 1st verse sounds like it’s REAL for tha streetz here, “at night!” REAL POWERFUL street lyrics right chea; gotta be alert!! Tha hook sounds GR8 wit how y’all deliver it once again, ya dig!! Tha 2nd verse’s FULLA paranoia and I’m feelin’ how y’all expressin’ it!! I like how tha ending’s gettin’ slower and slower, lol… My Rating: 4.9
10. “Outro”
Tha “outro” already? Let’s see what’s up wit it… >>> I like tha rain in tha background; makes it sound REAL interestin’!!! Haven’t I heard dis background beat before? Reminds me (for some reason) of like Death (of Ruthless Juveniles) or somethin’… Anyway, this one has rappin’ in it so I gon rate it… Good shit for tha 1st verse (real short?) and tha 2nd verse’s spittin’ more hot shit on dis REAL HOT beat!!! Tha beat’s REAL HOT!!! Y’all callin’ this an “intro,” lol? Anyway, tha 3rd verse’s doin’ tha damn thang too!! REAL HOT ta end dis CD!! Well, almost; now, I hear tha “outro” part. Tha hook sounds good too… My Rating: 4.7
11. “Ride 2 Dis (Radio)”
Okay, DIS iz tha “secret track;” let’s see what’s really good wit it! >>> LOL, pretty funky for a start here! Oh, “dis” iz tha “Ride 2 Dis” joint, lol? Lemme see if there’s a radio version and a dirty version… Okay, I hear tha 2nd verse and “dis” iz tha clean version, lol. See #1 fa tha review!
Overall: Turned out ta be a HOT CD!!! Y’all boyz did tha damn thang on “dis” ma’fucka!! Keep doin’ tha damn thang; I’m fuckin’ wit y’all to tha max!!!
