Although a short day for me, I got a few current reviewz ta do. Because my 22nd birthday iz tomorrow, I’m takin’ a lil’ week break from tha marathon and just doin’ current reviewz and catchin’ up. Right here, I got my boy Lil’ Issue wit his “Still Dumb (Young Dummy Vol. 2) (Hosted by DJ PK1)” mixtape; REALLY lookin’ forward!! This iz tha 4th Lil’ Issue CD I’ve reviewed! Start Time: 9:21 PM | End Time: 10:35 PM


Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it) so any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

Time ta start dis thang off!! REALLY lookin’ forward ta EVERYTHING!!! >>> “In D. Jackson’s studio this time?” Good shit! VERY upliftin’ intro here wit tha beat, lol!! My Rating: N/A


02. “Believe It Or Not”
I gon DEFINITELY be interested in hearin’ what dis iz!! >>> Sounds like Q-Red “breathin’” sound effects in tha beginning; HOT shit!! Tha beat’s hot and tha hook sounds good wit you “givin’ your everythang” on tha track! You sound like you grew wit tha voice from tha previous CDs… Pretty good soundin’ and how you’re improvin’/comin’ up in tha 1st verse! Good shit fa err-body in tha BR streetz! Tha 2nd verse sounds like it has a good mainstream Rap feel to it… I like how tha ending sounds wit your gr8, motivated attitude! My Rating: 4.4


03. “Flexx” Feat. Q-Red
Not too crazy about this title so let’s see what happens… >>> Tha beat start must be Q-Red again; FEELIN’ tha HOTNESS!!! It sounds like fartin’ a lil’ bit, lol! Ooh, Q-Red’s on tha hook too!! Good job wit tha follow-up to “Whop”; much betta than what I expected!! Tha 1st verse sounds like tha Issue I luved when I 1st heard you!! Dat shit from 1:17 – 1:19’s REAL HOT in tha beat!!! WHOA!!!!! So far, this sounds like it’ll DEFINITELY make my Vol. 3 mixtape due out September 22!! If there’s a betta single for me on this CD, then it’ll be somethin’ else but there’s a good chance it’ll be dis! Good job wit tha 2nd verse too; str8 KILLIN’ tha track!!! Interestin’ echoin’ in tha end! My Rating: 4.9


04. “Let Me Roll”
Now, I’m feelin’ this title so let’s see what we got! >>> LOL, afta tha cold ending wit tha echoin’, it sounded like it was backed up a few seconds in tha beginning, lol. Tha beginning here sounds good; thumbs up ta D. Jackson on tha beat!! This DEFINITELY good; REAL GOOD!!! I REALLY like tha hook here and you’re REALLY holdin’ it down to tha fullest on this track!!! Tha long hook sounds good; dat voice of yours iz YOURS and it goes a long way!!! Tha 1st verse iz finally here afta a minute and it’s dat cool, good shit to tha fullest!! Gotta give respect ta you since you’re a month and five dayz older than me, lol. Tha 2nd verse sounds like some trouble’s goin’ on wit you. What’s up wit all tha court dates you be havin’? Ya gotta be ***ALERT***!! Good looks on tha contact info at tha end! My Rating: 4.7


05. “Circles”
You should’ve listed tha features on DatPiff. Anyway, let’s see here… >>> Scary intro but I’ma try and absorb it. “Can roll ta dis,” huh? We’ll see… Prolly could’ve put this in tha middle of tha mixtape since it has been pretty jammin’… I like tha “silly rabbit” shit in tha beginning; you sound good on this 1st verse. LOL @ tha hook wit tha odd-soundin’ (on 1st listen) singer wit tha “a chicken wit my head cut off” shit; interestin’… Tha 2nd verse must “taste good ta” tha ladies wit this “recipe;” good shit. At least this joint’s only 2:49 and nothin’ like five minutes! That I’ll give credit for! My Rating: 3.9


06. “Self Made” Feat. Lil’ Alex
LOL, a feature listed this time? Looks REALLY anticipatin’ fa tha ’10!! >>> LOL, transitioned real quick here! Tha intro sounds cool and tha beat’s pretty gutta! Speakin’ of gutta, here you are on tha 1st verse wit some gutta-ass shit, lol! You REALLY holdin’ it down fa tha gangstaz here!! Tha hook sounds pretty good; hot shit!! A to tha L to tha E to tha X iz on tha 2nd verse here and he “eatin’ tracks,” lol! “Dumb, duffy and all dat” sounded like my boy Quikkdraw from his collaboration on “Extravagant”. Really rough towards tha end; y’all REALLY gr8 on a collab!! Hearin’ tha hook for tha 2nd time and it sounds GR8 wit dat “smoke weed” part; good-ass shit from you, Issue!! Tha 3rd verse sounds good wit you on it, Issue!! Very consistent here; you just DOIN’ it BIG here!!! Ooh, all along it was E.P. on tha track; good job hirin’ him, Issue! LOL @ tha silence at tha end! My Rating: 4.6


07. “Dinner Plate” Feat. Kevin F
Good thing you listed tha feature; let’s hear how GR8 dis iz!! >>> Again, it sounds backed up from tha last joint since tha last joint had a cold ending and had silence without mixin’. Anyway, cool beat soundin’ here and tha hook’s pretty tight; gotta luv dat title!! Tha 1st verse sounds like you really focused wit who you fuck wit; good shit when I hear it from you! Shit yea, Lil’ Kevin a.k.a. Kevin F’s on tha 2nd verse and he sounds GR8; glad you ALWAYS wit your rappin’ family on your songs!! From Blak On Blak to Yes! I Am to Major Issue, y’all do it up!! Tha beat sounds like Mouse or Q-Red here but if it really was Q-Red, I would be able ta ID it easily… Tha 3rd verse iz you and you’ll “meet ‘em at their resident;” good shit! Tha rhymes sound good and catchy too once again… I knew it was gonna be “D. Jackson on tha track!” My Rating: 4.6

Not sure of what this title ‘pose ta tell me? >>> You sound anticipatin’ here in tha beginning since it sounds like you fulla dat shit! This iz catchy so far…; good hook. Tha 1st verse sounds good; I like tha laidback flow. Your “neighborhood” must luv dis and what you be doin’! Tha 2nd verse’s keepin’ it real too… My Rating: 4.0


10. “My Swagg” Feat. Bun B
LOL, will I like it betta? Lemme rehear… >>> X-Fyle on tha track and again, tha Pop start in tha beat. Tha hook’s kinda on tha typical tip as what I would hear from everyone. Should’ve had a Q-Red production or somethin’ ta make it catchier! Tha 1st verse’s kinda typical too… Again, Bun B sounds good on tha 2nd verse; he actually sounds betta… Tha 3rd verse iz a touch betta than your 1st verse; I’ll keep my rating tha same. My Current Rating: 3.5

I’m wonderin’, what’s up wit dis yucky “Mr. Jones” beat comin’ outta nowhere? >>> Good thing it’s just a talk break… Okay, 45 seconds went by, anything goin’ on? I hope PK1 gives his numba so I can hit him up… I didn’t hear it now but maybe later? I’ll e-mail him… My Rating: N/A


½time: Sounds pretty HOT so far; you REALLY keepin’ it HOT like you’ve done in tha past! Tha average CD rating’s at 4.3 right now and tha production’s off tha chain!!! Keep tha catchiness up!!


12. “Headlights”
I think I heard this before… >>> This sounds familiar but I don’t see anything anywhere? I like dat hook wit tha “ol’ lady!” Sounds like some “feelin’s” in tha 1st verse comin’ out chu; good shit! Interestin’ shit about these “bitches” in tha 2nd verse. I’ve neva dealt wit some of dis shit so it’s good dat you rappin’ ‘bout it! My Rating: 4.2


13. “Rubber Band Pop” Feat. Kevin F
These titles are givin’ me déjà vu or somethin’… >>> Mod Productions on tha beat, huh? Actually, I praised him one day on tha phone for doin’ beats for you and he said, “I don’t even know him [you, Issue].” He said, “Some of my beats must float around or somethin’;” lol… So, this iz a “floated” beat dat’s pretty good fa dis. Tha hook sounds good; you REALLY holdin’ it down on all these hooks!! Tha 1st verse sounds good; motivated Issue to tha fullest! Tha 2nd verse sounds good; Lil’ Kevin F doin’ his thang fa your section! Tha 3rd verse from you sounds good as you continue ta do tha damn thang!! My Rating: 4.3


14. “Pimp II” Feat. Big Steve
A 2nd part, lol? >>> D. Jackson on this beat and it sounds interestin’; did dis beat float around too, lol? Tha hook’s pretty catchy; hearin’ all dat “I got a lotta hoes” from Big Steve’s catchy! I guess it iz real since you gave a shout out ta “D. Jackson” in tha beginning! Tha hook sounds betta; tha beat’s kickin’ good! Tha 1st verse iz you and you’re really anti-cops, lol! Guess what, Issue? … … I neva had detention, lol! I like how tha end of tha 1st verse sounds wit tha beat; dis iz tight right chea! Tha 2nd verse iz Big Steve and let’s see what he’s got… All these “hoes” but he didn’t send me tha song he was sendin’ me? Gotta keep it money ova bitches; it ain’t a secret! Therefore, I kinda might forget to comment on tha rest of it? It’s aight, it’s just a typical-soundin’ verse dat fits good on dis track. You luv tha 3rd verses and you sound good wit dis shit. Sounds like future-tense to me as it sounds like you’re at your “fuckin’-extreme” stage all of a sudden. It’ll be a while (I think) ‘til I see this day… My Rating: 4.4

“Cum?” Must be anotha ladies song, lol? Or, you just bein’ creative wit tha spellin’? >>> Anotha D. Jackson joint! Tha start sounded like “Head 2 My Toes” which kinda threw my anticipation weird but yea, I guess this iz a “cummin’” anthem rather than a “coming over” anthem, lol! Tha hook sounds good wit this beat and tha 1st verse from you’s good; you holdin’ down tha tracks! Oh, you’re on tha 2nd verse now, lol? Feelin’ tha “LRG and Girbauds!” Glad you get ta see “Girbauds” all tha time! I only see people wit ‘em like a few times a year; you know how white it iz up where I’m at. Huh? Where’s Big Eye? I didn’t catch him anywhere… Are y’all voices tha same? You’re soundin’ consistent on tha 3rd verse… Oh, here he iz on tha 2nd ½ of tha 3rd verse; just a background appearance wit a ½ line, lol? My Rating: 4.3


16. “Jam” Feat. John The Baptist
Now, I’m thinkin’ this iz “jam” (jelly) for tha ladies vs. a “jam” (song); let’s see if I’m right. >>> Ooh, Q-Red on this beat; glad we’re back ta dis!! Okay, I knew I had ta be wrong; this iz “jammin’” accordin’ ta tha hook! Good job from JTB on tha hook and he’s on tha 1st verse here! Feelin’ his “cookin’” shit and him holdin’ tha verse down!! Tha hoods must REALLY luv him!! He a “loratabber,” lol!! You’re on tha 2nd verse and you’re havin’ fun “in dis bitch” accordin’ ta how you soundin’! Oh, you’re even a huge poppa, lol? “Poppin’ tab afta tab?” Issuerific, lol! My Rating: 4.4


17. “Ready”
Now, it’s just you… >>> LOL, a form of havin’ sex in tha beginning? Sounds like an R&B song fa a Q-Red beat? Good soundin’ and tha hook’s aight but if you’re here, Issue, you couldn’t just hop on it? You’re a “shy guy,” huh? You do all this “fuckin’” and you’re shy? You’re not a virgin… Tha 2nd verse sounds like you “givin’ a gurl your numba.” Interestin’… What age did you discover dat you made friends? I’m still on a mission and finally, I think it’s workin’ wit y’all in Louisiana! Tha 3rd verse has you “invitin’ her ova” too? You really are good at socializin’ and not “shy,” lol. March 3, 2010 marked tha 1st day I got someone ta come to my house (even though they didn’t come in). My Rating: 3.7


18. “Whop (Remix)” Feat. Q-Red
LOL, I didn’t know what ta expect when I heard tha first few seconds… You’re VERY late wit gettin’ dis ta me (final mix). Tha otha version made my radio show, my decade-end countdown and everything, lol! You ID’d it wrong as it’s tha “remix” here. Still sounds VERY HOT on tha beat and tha hook!! You sound dry on tha 1st verse compared to tha original version? Up tha flow like you did original; sounds like you’re just bored (e.g., “HELLO!!” turned into “hello…”)… Tha 2nd verse iz an updated Q-Red verse. Again, it sounds too boring. I almost feel like dis iz an original version and tha otha version iz a remix instead. All dat “throwin’ money” betta not be dat serious now, right, Q-Red? Save tha money for an interview fa me dat I’m ‘pose ta do fa you, Q-Red! Again, this could’ve sounded betta… My Rating: 4.5


19. “Smack-Down” Feat. John The Baptist, Lil’ DJ The RB & Beezy Bird
I guess when it was uploaded to DatPiff, this and #20 are flipped on tha tracklisting but are correct on tha track numbers… Anyway, let’s hear what dis iz like. >>> Oh, betta put “Feat. Beezy Bird” on tha ID too ‘cause there’s a particular “bow, bow” in tha beat! It has ta be DJ B-Real on tha beat if dat’s tha case ‘cause he’s tha one dat started samplin’ his voice… Anyway, catchy hook and tha 1st verse sounds good wit you on tha 1st verse! A strong-statued Issue, lol! You just REALLY stayin’ strong on tha rhymes and consistency!! Dat hook’s just RAW!! Good thing fa tha features!! Speakin’ of which, here’s tha 2nd verse and it sounds like some sex’s goin’ on wit tha mixin’ of hard rhymes? Good verse; gotta LUV hearin’ newbies and features, ESPECIALLY for tha 1st or 2nd time!! Tha 3rd verse iz more gutta here; I like tha “discount” shit! My Rating: 4.6

A bonus (1 of 2); let’s hear it! I like tha title! >>> Sounds like a single dat sounds good; very mainstream soundin’ dat’s good here! LOL @ tha catchy rhymes in tha 1st verse, doin’ ya thang! Tha 1st verse’s continuin’ ta do tha damn thang wit your “money levels” and consistent life. Tha 2nd verse’s good too; I prolly would say tha same for tha 2nd verse as I did for tha 1st. Tha 3rd verse’s consistent too. Once again, you’re focused. My Rating: 4.1


22. “Put Yo Blinker On”
LOL, you LUV drivin’, huh? Let’s see wit newbie Deezle on tha beat for this 2nd bonus song!! >>> Tha beat start sounds like it could be anticipatin’. Thumbs up fa bein’ interested in all my talents, Issue! I KNOW you luved dat status comment yesterday, lol! Anyway, tha 1st verse sounds good wit tha rappin’ for “tha club;” lookin’ forward to tha hook for some reason!! “Changin’ lanes in tha club?” It’s a driveway in there? I neva really been to a club in tha longest time (January 2004; last visited November 2008) (or neva been to an “Urban” club) so I wouldn’t know how ta picture it. But, it’s a catchy hook… Tha 2nd verse’s pretty good too; good job wit dis shit, Issue! I think it could be a lil’ catchier so let’s see what tha 3rd verse sounds like… Sounds like dat otha song wit tha “girl in tha hallway.” Not bad of a verse… I guess it fits wit tha otha ones. My Rating: 4.3


Overall: Anotha VERY GOOD, consistent mixtape from you, ya dig!! Just DOIN’ THA DAMN THANG on buku tracks, yet, you presented 22 jointz (18 were songs) ta me outta nowhere!! Keep up tha GR8 work!! You’re a VERY consistent rapper!!!
