Reviewed on 6.18.2010 (Review #545)
Keepin’ it goin’, tha next review iz The Drama Squad “On Front Line (Chapter II)”!! REALLY enjoyed tha 1st one so let’s see dis one!! Oh, and some sources say this iz 1999 but I have it as ’96 so I’m reviewin’ it now! Start Time: 9:34 PM | End Time: 10:41 PM
Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it) so any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

Tha 3rd verse’s soundin’ good but has “jiggin’” in tha rhymes; “jiggin’” iz dat old? I thought Big Scoob came up wit it seven years later? Cool verse for tha ladies there! Tha 4th verse’s soundin’ gutta wit how it’s bein’ delivered. There’s a 5th verse here? Y’all really doin’ it big here… Ladies gotta luv tha 5th verse, lol! LOL @ tha endin’ wit tha “no good fa 16?!” My Rating: 4.3
06. “One Life To Live” Feat. Misdemeanor & Prime Time

LOL @ this title; what’ll it sound like? >>> Bounce shit, lol! Tha hook’s cool and iz entertainin’! Nice job wit tha 1st verse here as it’s to keep tha jam hot, lol. Tha 2nd verse sounds like a remake? For 6+ minutes, I rather this at least have rappin’ in it… My Rating: 4.0
½time: This iz good although it sounded betta wit tha last one since tha last one was more of a compilation… Either way, 4.4 iz tha average CD rating right now, doin’ tha damn thang wit all y’all in The Drama Squad!
08. Hush Interlude (Kangol Slimm Feat. Misdemeanor)
An interlude on tha CD, lol? >>> Sounds like a Jamaican dude in tha beginning. LOL @ this lil’ “interlude!” My Rating: N/A
09. “Hush Yo Mouth” Feat. Kangol Slimm
Let’s see dis shit. >>> Ooh, cool beat; reminds me of normal Texas Rap back in tha Mid ‘00’s! I like tha “electrons” shit in dis; good shit! Tha hook’s cool; good quality here! Tha 2nd verse sounds GR8 wit all this rapid rhymin’!! Ooh, you said, “blue black;” good shit! Shout out ta my boy “BluBlack,” ya dig! Tha 3rd verse sounds crazy wit tha quickness of tha rappin’!! Speakin’ of quickness, tha 2nd ½ of tha 3rd verse’s just like competition wit all this rapid-fire quickness!! Gangsta shit once again in dis hook!! My Rating: 4.7
10. “What Is This”
I agree, lol! >>> A lil’ on tha Jamaican style for tha hook here… Tha beat’s aight but tha 1st verse sounds pretty cool since it’s quick! “We blow shit like TNT!” Tha 2nd verse’s REALLY doin’ it here wit tha rapidness!! Tha 3rd verse’s good but nothin’ like tha previous two verses. Ooh, a 4th verse made it and it’s REAL FUCKIN’ tight!!! Yea, “roll dat blunt” and do ya thang!! My Rating: 4.4
11. “Bring The Drama”
Most definitely! >>> Tha beat’s DEFINITELY some good soundin’ here as it’s nice and upbeat! Sounds like tha “Wanna Be A Big Tymer” and tha 1st verse’s here ta “bring tha drama,” lol! Tha 2nd verse’s all about gettin’ dat cash via “Craps,” ya dig! Good shit from y’all… Tha 3rd verse has REAL good gangsta shit here wit consistent delivered rhymes!! Shit, yea, a 4th verse here and it’s soundin’ good; y’all really holdin’ it down fa tha real gangstaz at all times!! My Rating: 4.5
12. “It’s Going Down” Feat. Kangol Slimm
Let’s see here… >>> Tha beat start’s cool here… Tha 1st verse’s startin’ off REAL GOOD wit tha “weed!” Catchy rhymes here as y’all have an interestin’ hood! Tha 2nd verse’s holdin’ it down fa all ya boyz and ya gurlz. Y’all sound like a lotta fun based off what y’all spit about (when it’s not gangsta. When it iz gangsta, y’all sound like y’all know how ta handle life)! Ooh, anotha memba in tha 2nd verse so dat means it’s tha 2nd ½ of tha 2nd verse… Catchy shit in tha car! Tha 3rd verse iz catchy also; good shit… My Rating: 4.3
13. “I’mma Get Mine” Feat. Tre-8
REALLY lookin’ forward ta anotha Tre-8 collab, you know!! >>> Interestin’ beat start here… Tha 1st verse’s pretty gutta here; really feelin’ tha delivery!! Tha 2nd ½ of tha 1st verse’s REAL GOOD too!! “My lyrics cocked and aimed,” ya dig!! Tha hook’s catchy; almost sounds like a really young Boosie at 1st on tha 2nd ½ of tha hook, lol. Ooh, tha 2nd ½ of tha 2nd verse’s startin’ off wit “Call me Lotto;” good-ass shit!! Gotta luv all y’all in Louisiana!!! If it ain’t Louisiana, it ain’t important!! My Rating: 4.7
14. “You Don’t Know Me” Feat. Ché
Wonder what dis iz fa 5:59 on tha length… >>> Ooh, pretty gutta on tha beat intro!! Tha hook’s REAL good here; DEFINITELY feelin’ it wit dis gutta-ass beat!!! “Hit tha weed then I drop ta my knees!!” STR8 FIRE!!!!! Tha 1st verse’s soundin’ gr8 wit tha gangsta shit comin’ outta tha voice here! Real shit dat sounds GR8 here! Tha 2nd verse’s prayin’ in tha beginning (which usually ain’t for me in music) but it sounds hella catchy wit how thangz are delivered here! Tha 3rd verse’s soundin’ good wit tha good voice once again ta hold dis shit down!! All y’all just REALLY doin’ it big!!! Tha 4th verse’s soundin’ good on dis shit too!! Catchy on tha beat here and thumbs up fa your continuous “smokin’,” ya dig! Wit hearin’ tha hook so many times at tha end, dis joint’s sounds like a GR8 anthem!!! Nice job on tha acapella ending!! My Rating: 4.8
15. “Life’s Cold But Fair”
Didn’t realize dis was tha last joint fa a second… Let’s see what’s good… >>> Okay tempo here for tha endin’ song. Tha hook’s aight for a start. Tha 1st verse sounds interestin’ fa some “unsafe sex.” Tha 2nd verse’s a lil’ interestin’. “Blazin’ blunts back ta back… Mary Jane was his cousin;” lol, dat good shit! Tha 3rd verse’s not bad wit dis shit. There’s a 2nd ½ of it too and it’s good advice too. Not bad of a joint here… My Rating: 3.7
