Reviewed on 6.18.2010 (Review #542)
Gotta say R.I.P. to my boy Sporty-T. Too bad I neva knew you at tha time but now, I gon finally review one of your CDs! Here goes my review for Sporty-T “Street Soldier (Respect It Or Check It)”!! Start Time: 11:48 AM | End Time: 12:36 PM
Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it) so any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

Source (Where I Got Tha CD From): Google, louisianarap.blogspot.com and various blogs online
01. Track ‘Em Down
Looks like an intro; lookin’ forward ta hearin’!! >>> Sounds pretty gutta for a start here wit tha interestin’ beat… Gutta shit! My Rating: N/A
02. “Still Goin’ On”
Let’s see how you do wit it! >>> Tha beat’s cool and tha hook’s DEFINITELY catchy; luvin’ it, ya dig!! Wish you would’ve seen my talents!! I was just gettin’ my Louisiana buzz up when you were murdered… Tha 1st verse sounds good so far wit your gutta-ass rhymes!! Tha 2nd verse’s keepin’ it real to tha fullest!! You had ta have been popular in tha undaground streetz!! My Rating: 4.5
03. “Mission”
Looks tight for a title so you KNOW I’m lookin’ forward ta hearin’!! >>> Tha rappin’s on a Mystikal pace here and it sounds like real-life street lyrics here!! Rough shit in tha South here! Tha hook sounds good too; catchy shit ALWAYS comes from you!! Tha 2nd verse’s you on your “mission,” just grindin’ as always!! Tha 3rd verse’s VERY gutta and gangsta to tha fullest!!! Every lyric COUNTS here!!! My Rating: 4.4
04. Blow ‘Em Out The Sky
Looks like a title but afta seein’ tha length, it looks like a skit! >>> Sounds like trouble…; gutta shit once again! My Rating: N/A
05. “Juvi (You Ain’t No Soldier)”
Interestin’ title; I KNOW you gon bring dat HOT shit!! >>> Tha beat’s pretty uptempo here, almost soundin’ like it gon be Bounce. Sounds like I heard dis joint before? Tha hook’s cool and so iz tha 1st verse. Sounds like some “startin’ beef” lyrics here in tha 2nd verse about “Cash Money.” Tha 3rd verse sounds interestin’… “Neva wore Coogi?” They had dat back then? Shit… Dat’s what’s up! Pretty gutta against “Juvenile,” lol! My Rating: 4.2
06. “Still Ballin’”
Let’s see what’s good wit dis; good title! >>> “1997?” I read online dat dis was ’96 and I think tha back of tha CD says “’96” too… Tha beat’s cool and tha 1st verse iz realer than a mafucka!!! “A livin’ drug-dealin’ ghost;” interestin’ shit!! I hope drugs wasn’t tha reason why you died… All tha lyrics are DEFINITELY real right chea; all of ‘em are catchy too! Tha hook’s cool; good vibes here!! Tha 2nd verse’s SOOOOOO consistent wit this WHOLE song!!! Tha 3rd verse sounds like you’re on top of tha undaground wit your rhymes. DEFINITELY good perspectives comin’ from you on dis shit right chea!! My Rating: 4.6
07. “Talk-N-2 U”
I wonder what this iz about? >>> Ooh, gangsta-ass shit wit a Tears For Fears “Shout” sample in tha hook; DEFINITELY GOOD SHIT!!! “Six foot sentences against my ma’fuckin’ paragraphs!” GANGSTA-ASS competition!!! Damn, tha hook’s just SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GUTTTTTTTTTTTA!!!!!!!!!!!!! A “New Jersey” dude on tha feature here for tha 2nd verse? I like how he (whoeva he iz) came through on tha verse; str8 good-ass shit!!! You’re just SO GUTTA wit all dat gun shootin’ at tha end of tha songs!!! My Rating: 4.9
08. “Street Soldier”
Tha title track so let’s see what’s good wit you and it! >>> Pretty smooth here (no wonder, tha length’s 5:42). Too bad you did “die.” Tha 1st verse sounds pretty smooth wit tha shit you’re deliverin’… Tha 2nd verse sounds pretty good too wit this G-Funkish shit comin’ from you. Tha 3rd verse’s really gutta wit tha content you spittin’! I gotta make you an R.I.P. video when I’m done reviewin’ all your CDs, ya dig! My Rating: 4.0
½time: Of course, you’re comin’ through wit some RAW-ASS gangsta shit here!!! Keep doin’ ya thang in Heaven, ya dig!! Tha average CD rating’s at 4.4 right now; good-ass shit!!!
09. “Projects In New Orleans”
A REAL GOOD title here so let’s see what you come wit!! >>> Ooh, a Bounce beat and tha content’s REALLY for tha gangstaz!!! Tha flow’s DEFINITELY good-ass shit to tha fullest!!! A lotta cities are bein’ shouted out in tha 2nd verse… You keepin’ it goin’ fa err-body!! Tha rest of dis shit’s goin’ good all tha way ‘til tha end!! You have a SHITLOAD O’ SHIT ta say, ya dig!! My Rating: 4.6
10. “You Got This”
“This” iz not even two minutes so let’s see… >>> Good, there’s no intro so there’s more time fa you ta rap! Tha hook sounds cool but it sounds like it’s betta once tha 1st verse starts wit dis hot beat! LOL, where did tha reversed word come from? It was just “fuck,” lol… Iz dis a younger Sporty-T, lol? Tha 2nd verse’s pretty good and switches to some Bounce-type vocals; a lot goin’ on here… My Rating: 4.1
11. “I Say – You Say”
Interestin’ title; let’s see what’s good wit you on dis. >>> Sounds like it gon be a Bounce song… Ooh, VERY GOOD chantin’!!! “[Ladies “say”] Eat – my pussy!! [Fellas “say”] Suck – my dick!! Fuck – you bitch!!” Good-ass chantin’ fa err-body!!! Pretty good 1st verse wit tha singin’ for tha “fiends!” Tha 2nd verse sounds good too! A song like dis and dat chantin’ makes me wish I would’ve done business wit chu… My Rating: 4.5
12. “Last Call 4 Bounce”
I dunno what ta say but I know I’ll like it. >>> Sounds Bounce in tha beat wit tha way it has an uptempo sound. Tha 1st verse sounds good but tha hook sounds edited, lol? Tha 2nd verse sounds good wit how you keepin’ it “Bounceful,” lol! Tha 3rd verse’s doin’ a good job too… My Rating: 4.2
13. “Popcorn Beat (Juvi You Ain’t No Soldier)”
Interestin’ title, lol! >>> Sounds like dat skit from earlier! Good job wit tha skit and now, let’s see dis “popcorn beat!” Again, dat familiar singin’ in tha beginning of tha 1st verse… Tha rappin’ in tha 1st verse sounds like Juvenile when he made tha “Ha” song, lol. I guess he stole what you rapped on dis? I think this tha same thing as #4 & 5 combined, lol; I didn’t recognize it… Not even a radio vs. street version; just exactly tha same… See #5 fa tha review!
14. Listen
What do you got fa me here? >>> Sounds like some smokin’ in tha beginning or breathin’, lol? Sounds like an outro… Shout out ta “T-Bone” on tha tracks! Glad people “had your back;” I fuckin’ luv your rappin’ and err-thang, you know! My Rating: N/A
15. “Still Goin’ On (Radio)”
Ooh, thumbs up ta dis radio edit! See #2 fa tha review!
16. “I Say – You Say (Radio)”
Good looks, especially lol @ how there’s a radio edit for tha “eat my pussy/suck my dick” part! See #11 fa tha review!
