Already up ta my 2nd review for today: S.B. & Joey “On A Clear Dark Nite”! Start Time: 12:01 PM | End Time: 12:41 PM
Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it) so any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “It Don’t Stop”
That’s what I’m sayin’ when it comes ta my marathon, ya dig! Gotta keep it rollin’!! >>> Luvin’ tha outdoors sound effects!! This gon be REAL interestin’!! Tha rappin’s even good on this too at tha end; interestin’ G-Funk vibe wit tha “smoke tha fiya weed!” My Rating: 4.1
02. “Downtown”
Let’s see what y’all got here! >>> Ooh, “ward” battle, lol! Tha beat has a nice Bounce feel to it wit tha tempo and tha content sounds gangsta here; feelin’ tha beat sounds!!! It’s like Bounce vs. G-Funk!! Definitely a good 1st verse dat holds it down fa tha “wards” here!! Tha 2nd verse sounds good; GR8 N.O. style here wit tha beat and DEFINITELY how y’all comin’ through on dis!!! Tha 3rd verse’s pretty gutta wit tha rappin’; consistent-ass shit here!!! Y’all collaborate REAL GR8 on tha mic!!! My Rating: 4.6
03. “Niggas Don’t Love”
Let’s see what dis iz about. >>> Real smooth on tha beat for tha beginnin’ here… This beat’s addictive for a smooth beat and tha 1st verse sounds good wit tha rappin’. Not bad wit tha content… Tha hook doesn’t have much ta offer but tha 2nd verse’s soundin’ good wit tha “why’d you pull a gun” part; I like how it sounded wit a questioned voice! Nice job wit tha rest of tha verse as tha rappin’s keepin’ dis joint alive… Tha 3rd verse sounds good wit how y’all feelin’… My Rating: 3.7
04. Attention Playa Haters
LOL, what’s this? A skit? >>> Interestin’… There’s always a funny-voiced dude in skits… Pretty interestin’ once again. My Rating: N/A
05. “G’s Up, Hoes Down”
Let’s see this typical topic/title. >>> Tha beat’s good wit a G-Funk style and a lil’ bit of 90’s R&Bish on tha beginning… Sounds like Nate Dogg for tha start, lol? Not bad for tha 1st verse and tha hook sounds pretty gutta wit tha content; good street shit on a G-Funk level here! Tha 2nd verse sounds a lil’ betta wit how tha street shit’s stayin’ in play… Tha 3rd verse sounds like it’s catchy… My Rating: 3.6
06. “Dice Game” Feat. Murder Death Camp
Iz this a skit or a song? >>> Sounds like a good skit for a start here… A lil’ bit of singin’ in tha background but this sounds a lil’ too serious, lol? My Rating: N/A
½time: Good/not bad of a CD so far… Let’s see what else comes outta it… Tha average CD rating’s at a flat 4.0 right now.
07. “Hood Ain’t Gon Change” Feat. Big Boogie
Let’s see dis collaboration… >>> Good G-Funk sound dat sounds like a sample in tha beat… Interestin’ hook and tha 1st verse nearly sounds like a Jamaican voice but then again, sounds like someone 250+ pounds, lol! Tha 2nd verse ain’t dat bad… This iz an aight song fa me; nothin’ special… Tha 3rd verse also was not bad and tha hook sounds like it’s somethin’ people can sing to. My Rating: 3.3
08. “Funny How Time Flies” Feat. Cyona Davis
>>> Good “smokin’” intro but I dunno how much this’ll last wit me listenin’ to it… Tha beat sounds good like one of tha previous songs on here and tha 1st verse has good “smokin’” shit; interestin’ gangsta shit too… Even though this iz a “gettin’ high” kinda joint, this doesn’t sound tha best fa me… Prolly could’ve hired a different female although afta hearin’ tha whole hook, she ain’t dat bad fa dis… Tha 2nd verse not bad… I like how she sings, “save a hit fa me” at tha end! My Rating: 3.6
09. “Heat Of The Moment (Fuckin’ With My Mail)”
Interestin’ title here… Let’s see what y’all got and how good it iz… >>> Anotha G-Funkish beat but this iz a plus fa me wit how it sounds; I like how y’all flowin’! Good-ass lyrics for tha 1st verse, street style! Tha hook sounds pretty raw; good shit goin’ on here! Too bad dis was kinda on tha short side… My Rating: 4.3
10. “Creepin’ Through The Fog” Feat. Men Of Intimacy
Anotha interestin’ title; glad this one’s longer!! >>> Tha beat intro sounds anticipatin’ and tha beginning sounds GR8 wit tha singin’!! Tha 1st verse’s pretty gutta wit tha gangsta lyrics! Nice job wit tha hook; str8 dark, “foggy”-ass shit here!! Tha 2nd verse’s good shit to tha fullest! Gotta luv tha consistency, ya dig! Tha 3rd verse sounds like it’s soundin’ good too; a lil’ shorter than tha 2nd verse though. My Rating: 4.5
11. Word To The Wize Feat. Two-Face
LOL, anotha skit, lol? >>> Sounds like some Barry White in tha background. Pretty interestin’ skit once again. My Rating: N/A
12. “Grap The Microphone” Feat. Big Boogie
Looks good on tha ID so let’s see how y’all come through wit it! >>> Sounds like one of tha beats in one of tha skits or maybe I’ve just heard dis beat sample too many times… This was an aight song; kinda breezed by… My Rating: 3.0
13. “G’s Up (Radio)”
There’s an intro in this version, lol? See #5 fa tha review!
Overall: Not bad of a CD, yet, tha average CD rating turned out ta be higher than I expected… Keep up tha good work and collaborations.
